He threw the files across the room as he gripped his hair and sat down the bed. Tears streamed down his face as he glanced at the papers...

Farmaan – Why the fucking hell always happens to her?

He roared as the thunder stroke turning the clouds casket grey.

Rain poured amidst the shine of the sun. Aadhya entered the room, what all the ruckus was about. But stunned when he saw Farmaan CRYING?

Farmaan – What??

He frowned at the doctor's words.

Farmaan – He has what?

Doctor – Lacunar amnesia or partial amnesia. It's like a loss of memory of one particular event or to be more specific in this case, a person. It looks like he had a brain injury to the limbic system which controls all our emotions and memories.

Farmaan blinked.

Doctor – And his headache is probably because of his brain trying to recollect the memories.

Farmaan – So you're saying he....forgot about...her?

He asked unsure yet nervous about the still-reply the doctors were about to give. The doctors bit their lip in anxiety.

Doctors – We're sorry but that's the result.

The doctors said but felt uneasy due to the sudden atmosphere change. The aura that was from Farmaan was odd.

Farmaan – I should not hear anyone talking about this.

His voice was cold as ice. His eyes darkened as he glared at the doctor's confused face.

Farmaan – I don't want anyone knowing about this. Got it? No one should know about this.

He said as the doctors nodded in fear.

They left as he took a deep breath. Aadhya left to check up on Reena. Since she wasn't beside him, he was losing his mind.

END REWIND...

Reena's hopeful eyes flashed across his mind as Aadhya knelt and caressed his shoulder.

Aadhya – What happened? What did the doctors say?

She asked. Farmaan felt the lump on his throat. He felt like he would cry any minute now if she asks anymore questions.

Aadhya – Love? What happened? Is everything all right?

She asked softly caressing his hair.

Farmaan took a deep shaky breath which concerned her even more. All kind of scenarios were playing on her head.

Farmaan – He has Partial amnesia.

Aadhya blinked not being able to process what he just said.

Aadhya – Partial amnesia??

Farmaan nodded while burying his head with his hands.

Aadhya – So......he forgot....her?

She asked as a sob left his mouth.

Farmaan – I'm scared Aadhya. I'm scared of how she will take all of this.

He said as a tear rolled down from her eyes. She kept her hand on head due to the shocking news.

She hugged him as he sobbed harder. Between them Farmaan was always the emotional one. He will break down if anything happens to the people he loves.

Farmaan – What is going to happen to him? He needs her! More than anyone.

He sobbed while Aadhya's hold tightened around him as tears streamed down.

? – Aadhya?

She heard Reena's voice behind the door. She pulled out and wiped his face.

Aadhya – Stop crying and do not tell her anything.

She said and wiped hers too.

Farmaan – Wait!

He called out to her and quicky hid the files. He straightened himself and stood behind her. She held his hand and smiled warmly.

They opened the door only to see Reena glowing with a bright smile on her face.

Reena – Good Morning! I got bored so...I hope I didn't interrupt anything.

She said and smiled. Farmaan felt his heart shattering while Aadhya braced herself not to break down infront of her.

Aadhya – Not at all! We just woke and we were on our way to see you.

Reena smiled and was about say something but got cut off by Farmaan hugging her.

Reena – What happened?

She looked over to Aadhya who wore a nervous expression.

Aadhya – He had a bad dream.

She said calmly.

Reena – Really? What bad dream?

Farmaan sniffled. Reena was always like a second mother to him.

Reena – You're still a kid...don't worry everything will be alright.

She patted his back and smiled.

Farmaan { in his mind } – I promise I'll give my everything to bring back his memory of you.

Time skip – { morning only }

Reena sat down the garden bench. The rain pouring and her under the garden shed. Everything made sensual to her. The sun rays were peeking out amidst the ash-grey clouds.

She caressed her baby bump as tears made their way down her cheeks.

Reena – Your dad forgot about us bubba.

She said as thunder stroke. Her hands secured around her bump as tears poured from her eyes along with the sky.

Rewind:

- Partial amnesia??

She stopped in her tracks as she heard Aadhya's voice.

' What are they talking about? '

She thought.

She leaned in and kept her ears on the door.

- So......he forgot....her?

Thunder strikes as she widened her eyes.

She kept her hands on her mouth as she heard Farmaan's sobs. Her eyes weren't glossy instead they were crystal clear.

- I'm scared Aadhya. I'm scared of how she will take all of this.

Her lips trembled as she felt the lump in her throat. Her legs stepped back as braced herself on the hallway column. Her mind was racing with thoughts that wasn't been able to explain in words.

She wished that it wasn't about him. She wished that he didn't forget her, but deep down she knew that she wasn't gonna believe the truth even though it hurts.

Thunder stroke again when she thought about the life inside her.

She thought about the moments where they spent together.

She bit her lips and put on a blank face when she saw the maids approaching.

She smiled and knocked on the door hoping that she would get the answers for the implausible questions that raced across her mind.

Reena – Good Morning! I got bored so...I hope I didn't interrupt anything.

' Please tell me it's not true......please tell me he's alright '

Aadhya - Not at all! We just woke and we were on our way to see you.

She saw Farmaan's lips trembled before she turned her gaze back to Aadhya.

Aadhya - He had a bad dream.

' Not you too '.

She felt betrayed. She felt like she cannot trust no one in this world.

' WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU ALL? PLEASE TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM. '

She screamed inside but she kept silent and smiled.

End o/f Rewind...

She cried silently as the sky wailed along with her. The clouds hid the sun making the surrounding darker. The sky roared when Reena sobbed. It was screaming in anguish at fate.

Reena – Why?

She hit her chest.

Reena – If you're gonna forget me why did you have to come back?

She wailed.

She looked at her hand with her glossy eyes.

She smiled. A smile which shook the sky.

Reena – You promised.

" I will always be there for you "....

She howled as the thunder roared.

Reena – You promised that you will always be there for me.

She yelled. Her sobs were muffled with the sounds of the rain. She felt grateful even though she knew rain did not have feelings. But the rain did. It wailed so that it's voice would be heard instead of hers.

She cried and cried not knowing two pairs of eyes were watching her from afar.

His heart longed for her but yet confused as to why?

Why?

Why do I long for her?
