When we got back, Maxen, Noah and Adeline had already gone home. Only Jaxon and Lucas were playing the soccer game while others concentrate on the movie but step away from each other. Just about to join them, Jaxon called me.

Alex! Come and cheer us up… We're bored." I felt butterflies perching in my intestines for a reason I could still comprehend. I walked to the corner if the room where they were seated. 

"I'm so not a fan of football-" I tried to explain but Jaxon cut my words.

"Sit in the middle and watch our game." Jaxon muttered, giving me space to sit. Okay, the game is about to begin! Whoever wins would get a kiss from you."

"What?"

"Yes, Whenever and however you want it." He smiled.

"Seriously? And why would I do that?"

"You should dearie, you have no choice." 

"What if I don't want to? Is this really compulsory?"

What? I've been noticing you're kind of avoiding us. What are you scared of exactly? There are two, hot, sexy looking guys sitting next to you and you're saying what if I don't want to? I know, girls are shy and innocent but yours is a bit too much. I bet your boyfriend would be the same way."

"I don't have a boyfriend." I mistakenly muttered.

"You don't what?" He almost choked himself into an uncontrollable laughter. My eyes crawled to Lucas emotionless face. He was busy with the game setting, acting like he wasn't even there.

"Yes, I'm serious. I'm not in a relationship." 

"Yes, she's not!" Kate yelled while hearing out conversation.

Jaxon smiled and took the pad. He asked me to lay my head on his shoulder as it would be more fun. I just agreed and the game started. 

More like reality, the players took their positions.

"Goal!" Jaxon's team scored the first goal and I hugged him tight. He turned his cheek as he wanted the kiss but I pushed him away. My eyes crawled again to Lucas. He just started at me with so much intensity. Although, I try as much as possible to avoid his stares. He has this  honey-brown eyes looks so beautiful, I've never seen anything like it. As if it keeps on drawing my attention, all I want s to take a look again but I'm scared of the person being it. 

Lucas and Jaxon were at it again and… A goal! Jaxon scored the second time. It was so exciting, seeing how Lucas's keeper flew over the goal post. I didn't know when I gave Jaxon a peck on his cheek. He felt so excited and wanted to give me a peck back but I pushed him away, again. Lucas hand mistakenly touched mine as I jerked away. I felt even more nervous staying beside him and now, this. My heart spread as he fix his eyes on me, but I looked away. 

"Jaxon is winning, 2-0! Let's continue playing." I suggested, concentrating on the scene before us.

Jaxon and Lucas held the pads again, ready to play. 

"Goal! 3-0!"

"Goal! 4-0!!"

I and Jaxon were so excited, and in no time,  I was lying my head on his shoulder. Just the way he requested earlier. From the look of things, it seems he was better in football than Lucas was. The look on Lucas face was a bit funny and stern. He looked frustrated, knowing he might not win.

But the truth was that,Lucas and Jaxon were professionals in playing this game. Jaxon couldn't help but o wonder why Lucas was failing, but he was enjoying the benefit of it.

Just then, the ball entered the keeper's post. It was a goal for Lucas. 

"Goal!" Lucas yelled happily. 

"Whatever, give him a kiss." Jaxon ordered in disappointment.

"Why would I give I'm a kiss. He don't even deserve it." I argued. "He was just lucky to…" I turned to him and he turned to me. 

There was an awkward silence when I felt his lips on mine.

Chapter 10

My was heart beating a thousand time faster. No! My heat wasn't beating. I couldn't feel my breath any longer. With just that single touch, It was as if I wasn't in this world.

I pulled away in surprise and he was staring at me

 I gazed upon his full, symmetrical, pink lips that begged for mine. I was lost in his light brown eyes that wanted to see mine or what it mine, wanting he's? Lucas's cheeks suddenly turned red. No one noticed this except Jaxon who was sitting right next to us.

Just then, Lucas phone rings. It brought us back into reality as Lucas picked the call and went outside. 

"What's it with him?" I scratched my head, muttering silently but in frustration.

The awkward silence still remained.

"Are you alright?" Jaxon held my shoulders. "You two… Is everything fine between both of you?"

"Yes, I'm fine." I stood up and went to Kate.

Its almost 5:00 p.m, let's go home.

"Oh!" She lurched. "This movie is more interesting than the novel. Let's wait a minute more, please."

"I can't wait a second more, you'll meet me at home when you're through." I said, waving Angel goodbye.

"Why are you in a hurry when we can actually sleep here." She jolts to her feet.

"You can sleep here, I'm not."

"Okay fine, let's go home." Kate finally agreed as we have everyone goodbye. Angel acceded to accompany us but I told him not to worry, we would be alright.

Just about leaving, Lucas came in. I got a feeling like he was stirring up my soul. His eyes were fixed on mine again but I quickly looked away. In the rush and anger, our hands mistakenly touched. I didn't bother looking at him, I just left. Kate ran after me, saying she needs an explanation.

"What's wrong between you two, are you alright? Tell me, what happened?"

"Nothing, Kate! Nothing!"

"Are you planning to keep it a secret again?" She asked as I stopped walking.

"It isn't safe to talking the streets. Walls have ears, remember? I'll tell you when we get home." I replied back. The rest of the walk was a silent one.

"Lucas's lips mistakenly touched mine."

"What? I don't get you." Kate seemed to be more confused. "Did he actually kiss you or what?"

"I turned to him and his lips were before mine! How I hate that's Lucas guy already! I feel nothing for him."

"Maybe it was fate to happen that way. Imagine? A kiss?" Kate joked but I rolled my eyes at her angrily. 

"Okay, don't hate yourself, Alex. Its not your first kiss anyways." I threw my pillow on her, violently.

"Shut the hell up, Kate! I've told you timelessly that LUCAS IS NOT MY TYPE!!!" I fumed. "Perhaps, we just met today."

"You mean yesterday night?" She meowed like an innocent kitten.

I jumped on her bed, drawing her hair forcefully. She was actually laughing instead of crying to the pain.  All I wanted was for her to beg for mercy but she didn't. She held tight and I pushed her away. 

Just then, her phone rang. It was Lee.

"Guess what?" She started with a bright smile on her lips.

"What's it, my love?"

"Lucas kissed Alexandria today!"

"What?! How did it happen?" He jerked over the phone.

It's actually a long story. Their lips accidentally and in-accidentally touched. Auuch! She screamed as I chased her round the compound.

"I hope those two would finally get along someday." Lee said through the phone.

"I hope so too."she replied back. "I'll get back to you later, love."

"Okay, bye. I love you."

"Bye, I love you too." She cuts the call and faces me.

"No food for you tonight!" I declared.

"No… You can beat me however you like but don't starve me like this, I beg of you!" She wrapped her hands over me crying like a baby.

She sighed, pulling her away.

"You're satisfied, Kate. Those gossip would fill you tonight. I won't cook, you can try if you want to." I finalized, jumping in bed with an empty stomach. 

"No! You can't do this to me… Please wake up!!" She cried for almost an hour before I finally gave in. 

"Whatever…"
