Chapter 24 - 'I'm glad you're here too' - Older Kids
"Lizzie?" Elijah called to her, leaning against the counter,"Have you eaten?"
"Papa, you interrupted me." Lizzie groaned, she was explaining a story to Reid.
"Sorry, sweetheart." Elijah sighed.
"She's going on another rant." Reid chuckled.
"What's this one about, hm?" Elijah asked as he walked over
"Hank." Lizzie pointed.
"Hank?" Elijah nodded slowly.
"Mhm. Suprise, right?" Lizzie hummed.
"Why are we ranting about Hank?" He asked.
"Because me and Dina were talking and he wouldn't join in. We had good gossip." Lizzie nodded.
"You know what he's like, Lizzie." Reid told her.
"But he wasn't excited." She groaned.
"I know, sweetheart." Elijah hummed.
"You need to slow down with your words, Lizzie. You're so fast." Reid nodded.
"She gets it from you." Elijah pointed.
"Hes not lying." Lizzie smiled.
"Well, you have to remember that Hank doesn't have as much energy." Reid told her.
"It's because he's a boy, isn't it?" Lizzie asked.
"He's just more of a relaxed person." Elijah nodded.
"And he's older, makes sense." Lizzie hummed.
"So.. Are we calm now?" Elijah asked.
"Calmer." Lizzie nodded.
"Good girl." Elijah patted her head,"Now, have you eaten?"
"Oh! Yeah, no. Kinda forgot." Lizzie shrugged.
"Lizzie." Reid sighed.
"What? Papa forgets all the time."
"And that's not good for either of yiy." He pointed.
"If I'm getting in trouble, so are you." Lizzie pointed at Elijah.
"Wh- No." Elijah crossed his arms.
"Have you eaten?" Reid pointed at Elijah also.
"Obviously." He looked away.
"Papa." Lizzie hummed.
"I was going to." Elijah shrugged.
"See!" Lizzie laughed.
"I was asking if you'd eaten so I could make us both something." Elijah told her.
"Oh- Well in that case yeah.. I want a grilled cheese." Lizzie nodded.
"I want a grilled cheese too- I'll make that grilled cheese." Elijah nodded.
"See, dad? We're eating." Lizzie hummed.
"Very good." Reid chuckled,"It's important."
"Then I gotta head to school." Lizzie added.
"And what are you going to do there?" Reid asked.
"Hang out with my favourite cousins."
"And?"
"Learn?" Lizzie blinked.
"Yes." Reid ruffled her hair.
Lizzie chuckled and fixed her hair.
"Be good, okay?" Reid smiled.
"I will." Lizzie nodded.
"That's my girl." Reid hummed.

"Dina! Hank, come on down." Fleur called for them.
"Coming, mama." Dina hummed.
"Breakfast." Fleur nudged Morgan.
"I know, babygirl." Morgan kissed the top of her head.
"Dina, where's your brother?" Fleur sighed.
"He's just coming." Dina shrugged,"I did tell him to hurry up."
"Did you make sure his headphones were off?" Morgan asked.
Dina blinked,"...Yes."
"Hank!" Morgan called.
"You're a nightmare." Fleur chuckled to Dina.
"It's not my fault he always has headphones on." Dina pointed.
"You could've came into my room." Hank walked into the kitchen.
"I did.. For a little bit."
"And stalked me?" Hank blinked.
"You make it sound so bad." Dina huffed.
"Stop bickering, you two." Fleur pointed.
"It's not bickering." Dina shook her head.
"No?" Morgan chuckled.
"No." She nodded.
"What is it then, smarty pants?"
"Just.. Talking."
"Bickering." Hank coughed.
"Not. Bickering." Dina shook her head.
"Bickering." Hank nudged her.
"Shut up." Dina nudged him back.
"You shut up."
"Enough. Both of you." Morgan pointed.
"But dad-" Dina tried.
"But nothing." He hummed,"Now come here and eat your breakfast."
"Count your days." Dina pointed at Hank.
"Oh, I'm counting." Hank nodded.
"Stop threatening each other." Fleur warned.
"Would it kill you both to get along?" Morgan asked.
"We always get along." Hank nodded.
"Always?" Morgan raised a brow.
"Mostly." Dina mumbled.
"Uh huh." Morgan nodded slowly.
"Well, Lizzie says you smell." Dina shrugged to Hank.
"No, she didn't." Hank shook his head.
"She did." Dina nodded.
"Didn't."
"Oh my god, you're so annoying." Dina groaned.
"Be nice to your brother." Morgan sighed.
"You bully Uncle Jah and Spence all the time." Hank pointed out.
"I'm trying to help you, kid." Morgan looked to him.
"Right- Just saying." Hank held his hands up.
"Now eat your breakfast." He hummed.
"Thanks mama for pancakes." Dina hummed.
"We know you like them." Morgan nodded.
"Better eat them all." Fleur pointed,"Who's taking you to school? Us or your uncles?"
"You? I don't think I could handle her and Lizzie in the same car." Hank shook his head.
"Hey, we're great. You're just jealous." Dina smiled.
"Of what? Your ability to talk?" Hank blinked.
"Mhm." Dina nodded.
"Wow. I am.. So jealous of that." Hank rolled his eyes.
"You should be."
"I'm not."
"Les enfants, mangez votre dîner ou je le jette et vous mourrez de faim toute la journée." Fleur warned.
"Okay- We're eating." Hank raised his hands.
"That's what I thought." Fleur smiled, leaning towards Derek.
"Works every time." Morgan chuckled.
"French is scary." Dina admitted.
"Super scary." Hank agreed.
*********************************
"We're always here first." Dina looked around.
"She'll be here soon." Hank told her.
"Maybe I should text her." Dina grabbed her phone.
"Just give her a few minutes." Hank shook his head.
"If you say so." Dina hummed.
"You know Lizzie." Hank shrugged.
"Just like Uncle Jah, late." Dina nodded.
"Exactly." He agreed.
"I should put a tracker on her." Dina suggested.
"If you get one for yourself as well, it would be a pretty hood idea." Hank hummed.
"How?" Dina blinked.
"Well-"
"Dina!" Lizzie called to her.
"Lizzie!" Dina gasped and ran to her.
"Hi- I missed you." Lizzie told her.
"You're late though."
"But I'm here now."
"Well..I missed you too." Dina chuckled.
"You two saw each other yesterday." Hank pointed.
"So?" Dina blinked.
"How can you miss each other?" Hank asked.
"Do you miss Mama or Papa when you're away?" Dina asked.
"Not at school."
"Well still." Dina shrugged.
"You just don't get it." Lizzie sighed.
"Nope." Dina shook her head.
"I'm glad I don't. You guys are weird." Hank pointed.
"Whatever." Dina rolled her eyes.
"Ignore him, what have you got first?" Lizzie asked.
"Science." Dina recalled.
"Me too." Lizzie gasped.
"Hank?" Dina nudged him.
"Yes, me too." He sighed.
"Oh, you love us." Dina chuckled.
"Unfortunately, I do." Hank nodded.
"Let's go!" Dina grabbed Lizzie's hand.
"Yes!" Lizzie smiled.
"See you there, Hank." Dina ran with Lizzie.
"Those two." Frank sighed as he followed after them
*********************************
"We're getting separated next lesson." Dina sat down at the lunch table.
"No." Lizzie sighed.
"Oh..What a shame." Hank shrugged.
"It is a shame." Lizzie nudged him.
"I'm simply so upset for you." Hank grabbed his apple.
"You should be, this sucks." Fina pointed.
"Mhm..I can tell." Hank nodded slowly.
"Can we have a little sympathy?" Lizzie asked,"Please?"
"I'm sorry you guys can't be in the same classes, but that's school." Hank chuckled.
"We learn better when we're together."
"You don't learn anything." Hank laughed.
"We do so- Tell him, Dina." Lizzid crossed her arms.
"We learnt..About crime." Dina nodded.
"Crime, huh?" Hank nodded slowly.
"Yeah." Lizzie agreed.
"Wow, so impressed." Hank hummed.
"Not all of us are smart." Dina shrugged.
"I'm smart." Lizzie raised her hand.
"Yeah, because you got your dad's brains." Dina rolled her eyes.
"I still need to do the work though." Lizzie reminded her.
"True." Dina shrugged.
"Youre both smart.. In your weird little ways." Hank shrugged.
"Aw, thanks Hank." Dina smiled.
"You are so welcome." Не nodded.
"You're.. Loveable." Lizzie joked.
"And you are so kind." Hank crossed his arms.
"Love you." Lizzie hugged his side.
"Love you too." Hank sighed, patting her back.
*********************************
"Right, Elijah and Reid are gonna meet us later." Fleur told Morgan the plan as she drove.
"Oh, that'll be nice." Morgan nodded.
"So..Takeout for dinner?" Fleur tried.
"I'm down." Morgan hummed.
"Any idea on what?"
"Chinese?"
"The kids might argue." Fleur hummed.
"They'll argue no matter what we choose." Morgan added.
"They love each other truly." Fleur nodded.
"Of course, but siblings will be siblings." Morgan chuckled.
"And Lizzie just gets on with Dina so well." Fleur agreed.
"They're stuck to one another like glue, like you and Eli." Morgan pointed.
"Can you imagine if me and Eli went to school together? Or even grew up together?" Fleur smiled.
"Oh, I can imagine." Morgan hummed.
"Nightmare." Fleur hummed.
"You two would have been little menaces." Morgan agreed.
"But that means our kiddos get to be the little menaces."
"Oh, yes it does." He nodded,"And they are."
"They should be coming out any time now." Fleur parked at the school.
"Oh- I think I see them." Morgan pointed.
When the two looked out the window, they saw the three of them walking. Dina and Lizzie linking arms and Hank walking beside them
"They really are like you two." Morgan looked to her.
"Truly." Fleur nodded.
"Like two peas in a little pod." Morgan sighed.
"Hey mama, papa." Hank walked in the car.
"Hey, kid. Good day at school?" Morgan asked.
"Mhm. The girls-" Hank began.
"Afternoon." Dina got into the car with Lizzie.
"Good afternoon, you two." Morgan sighed.
"Don't sound too happy, papa." Dona hummed.
"Sorry, sweetheart. But I was trying to listen to your brother." Morgan told her.
"Yeah, Dina." Lizzie nudged her.
"Wh- I'm sorry." Dina raised her hands.
"Hank, we're having takeout.. What do you suggest?" Fleur asked.
"Oh, chinese." Hank nodded.
"I'm not really feeling Chinese." Dina sighed.
"And what are you feeling?" Morgan asked.
"Hmm..Indian."
"Why not just get both?" Lizzie suggested.
"We could." Morgan agreed.
"See? I'm full of great ideas." Lizzie hummed.
"Your dad's are meeting us at ours, Lizzie." Fleur assured her.
"Okay." Lizzie smiled.
"So you can choose their dinner." Fleur hummed, starting up the car.
"I will." She nodded happily.
"So, can we all agree on dinner being split?" Fleur asked.
"We can agree." Dina nodded.
"Good. I'll give it a call." Morgan grabbed his phone.
"Thanks, dad." Hank hummed.
*********************************
"Your dad's just called, they'll be here soon." Fleur walked into the kitchen.
Lizzie sighed,"Okay."
"Papa's driving." Fleur told her.
"That's not as bad then."
"Yeah, so don't worry." Morgan chuckled.
"I wasn't worried." Lizzie told him.
"Well, have you seen your dad's driving?" Morgan gave a look.
"Mhm." Lizzie nodded.
That's when the door went.
"That's either the food or them." Dina ran to the door.
"Please be food." Hank mumbled.
When Dina opened the door it was.. The Reids!
"Dina, hi." Elijah smiled.
"Hi Uncle Jah." Dina hummed.
"Did you have a good day at school?"
"Yeah." Dina nodded.
"No." Hank shook his head.
"Oh, a differing opinion." Reid looked between them.
"I think we had a great day." Lizzie ran up.
"I'm sure you did." Elijah ruffled her hair.
"We ordered food." Lizzie hummed.
"Oh, what are you having?" Reid looked to the Morgans.
"Indian and Chinese, a comprimise." Fleur nodded.
"A good mix." Elijah nodded.
"I ordered you something so you didn't starve." Lizzie hummed.
"Oh, now isn't that kind?" Elijah chuckled.
"Because we all know about your eating habits." Reid nudged Elijah as they walked in.
"So rude- I can be trusted to eat dinner." Elijah pointed.
"Well-" Morgan tried.
"I don't want to hear it, Mister."
"Because its true?" Morgan smirked.
"No." Elijah shook his head.
"Love-" Reid began.
"What?" He sighed.
"He's right." Reid kissed his cheek.
"I know." Elijah mumbled.
"No kissing." Lizzie covered her eyes.
"You jealous?" Dina joked.
"No." Lizzie crossed her arms,"I just don't like it."
"Are you being homophobic?" Dina gasped.
"What- No. Do you want to watch your parents kissing?" Lizzie questioned.
"No." Dina laughed.
"So why would I want to watch mine kissing?"
"I'm joking, Liz." Dina hummed.
"Better be." Lizzie hugged onto Reid's side.
"Come on, let's sit down while we wait for dinner." Reid kissed her head.
"What did you order us?" Elijah asked.
"You two got Chinese because we know how picky you two are." Lizzie smiled.
"She knows us well." Reid nodded.
"You're welcome." Lizzie bowed.
"Thank you." Elijah nodded.
The door went again, this time it had to be the food.
"Thank goodness." Hank sighed.
"I'll get it." Morgan walked out to the door.
"I'll get plates." Fleur nodded.
"I'll help." Elijah followed her.
"Hank acts like he doesn't get fed." Fleur chuckled.
"He's a growing boy." Elijah hummed.
"Don't we know it." Fleur grabbed the plates.
Elijah grabbed the cutlery,"And things have been going well?"
"Yeah, We've all been good." Fleur hummed,"What about you three?"
"Doing great."
"It's actually nice for all of us to just.. Sit down. Enjoy ourselves." Fleur put the plates down at the table.
"We used to never get time like this." Elijah sighed.
"Work and kids." Fleur nudged him,"We're getting old."
"Is it bad that.. I didn't think we'd get this far?" Elijah asked her.
"No..No. I didn't think I'd make it till at least twenty."
"And here we are."
"I'm glad I'm still here." Fleur smiled softly.
"I'm glad you're here too." Elijah told her.
"I got food." Morgan walked through.
"Food." Hank hummed.
"Come on." Fleur unpacked it,"Come get it while it's hot."
"More than happy too." Lizzie nodded.
Everyone took their items, placing them on their plates before everyone sat at the table.
"Well, everyone enjoy." Morgan chuckled.
