Chapter 2 - 'Angel and Dove' - Unsub Elijah and Fleur AU
"Did you feed the cats?" Fleur looked at Elijah as they drove to the church.
"I did, I made sure I did." Elijah nodded.
"Good." Fleur hummed,"Did you eat?"
"I was going to but they didn't permit it. I couldn't." Elijah's leg was bouncing.
Fleur looked at him,"They did what?"
"They told me I couldn't eat." Elijah answered again in the same tone, like it wasn't an issue.
"What have I told you, Eli? It doesn't matter what they say, you need to eat." Fleur sighed,"I'll stop somewhere before we go in, hm?"
"Yeah." He nodded.
"What do you fancy?"
"Oh, you can pick. I don't mind."
Fleur nodded and turned the car.
*********************************
Elijah looked around as they entered the church and he sat in his regular seat. Most people were already there but he didn't mind. They didn't take his seat.
"I hope they change this venue soon. Its too depressing." Fleur sat down.
"I like it." Elijah smiled softly,"It makes them happy too."
"I'm glad it makes the angels happy." Fleur sighed.
"They haven't stopped talking since this morning." Elijah rubbed his temples.
"You just need to relax, they'll go away eventually, amour." Fleur assured her.
Elijah smiled, he liked it when Fleur spoke French to him. Soon enough, the meeting began. Everyone took turns speaking about their week until they noticed that Mervia was missing. She was a mother to two kids. She was in the women's shelter after she had ran away from her abusive ex husband. Elijah could feel his leg start bouncing again as he looked over at where Mervia usually sat.
"We got a message from Mervia. She's gone on holiday with her children so she won't be here with us this week." The leader spoke.
Elijah nodded slowly as he looked over at Fleur.
"She's not the type of person who would just leave without telling anyone." Fleur crossed her arms.
"We should check out his house after this." Elijah whispered to Fleur.
"Glad we thought the same." Fleur nodded.
"I don't have a good feeling.."
Fleur unbuttoned her cardigan,"Might need to grab some things before we go."
"From the special box?" Elijah asked.
"Just in case." Fleur nodded.
Elijah nodded slowly, glancing over at Mervia's chair again. What if her husband did something to her?
*********************************
"He's in there. Kids are locked in their room. Do you think you can sneak into their room if I get Mervia and her husband distracted?" Fleur walked back to Elijah after jumping down from the tree.
"Of course I can." Elijah nodded.
"All you have to do is make sure the kids are okay." Fleur stroked his cheek,"I'll get Mervia safe."
"I'm good at that bit." Elijah smiled.
"Yes, you are. Now, the window is open slightly, all you have to do is open it and climb in." Fleur nodded,"You got the plan?"
Fleur watched Elijah as she made her way to the front door, hiding her knife in the hem of her skirt before she knocked on the door. It took a few minutes but soon Mervia's husband, Jacob, answered the door.
"Jacob? Hi! My name's Fleur, I was supposed to meet Mervia about an hour ago but she never turned up. Do you know where I would find her? Is she in?"
"She's not well, I told her to call people and tell them." Jacob shook her head,"You can leave now."
"Oh no, I think I better come in. I have the best recipe to help when people are unwell." Fleur pointed, making her way straight into the house,"Wow, you guys really need to clean up. It's a mess in here."
"Hey- Get the hell out of my house." Jacob pointed,"Mervia needs rest, she doesn't need you bothering her."
"Where is she?" Fleur crossed her arms.
"She is resting in our room. Now, get the hell out." Jacob grabbed her arm.
"Jacob.. Didn't your mother ever tell you, gentle hands?" Fleur twisted Jacobs arm back,"Not to touch women?"
Jacob winced as he tried to free his arm,"Are you crazy? Let me go!"
"Where's Mervia?" Fleur spoke calmly.
"Our room, she's upstairs. Just let me go, you crazy bitch!"
"That wasn't so bad, hm?" Fleur pushed him into the wall before turning to walk upstairs.
Upstairs, the door to Mervia's room was open slightly. It was quiet inside.
"Mervia?" Fleur walked in slowly.
Mevia was laid on the bed with her eyes closed, bruises around her neck.
"Mervia." Fleur rushed over to her.
Mervia was unresponsive. Fleur checked for a pulse as she unbuttoned her cardigan.
"You weren't supposed to see this."
Fleur turned around,"Are you going to hurt me too, Jacob?"
"I'm not going to let you leave." Jacob raised the bat he was holding.
"Yeah.. That's what I thought. Say, let's just go back downstairs. Best not to disturb the kids." Fleur placed her hands behind her back.
"Whatever you say." Jacob turned around.
Fleur began walking downstairs before she quickly turned, tripping over Jacob and pushing him down the stairs. Jacob landed with a crack at the bottom of the stairs. He groaned slightly but he didn't move.
Fleur tilted her head, walked down the stairs and stood above Jacob,"So sorry about this. I'm sure you would've loved killing me."
She grabbed her knife and sliced Jacob's throat. Jacob went limp on the ground as the blood began to pool around him. Fleur hummed and put the knife beside him before turning and going up to the kid's room, knocking on the door.
"You can come in." Elijah hummed.
Fleur walked in and waved,"Hi kids. Have you had fun with Uncle Eli?"
"Yeah." Sadie smiled as she walked over to Fleur.
Elijah was sat on Sadie's bed, rocking Lexi in his arms, she was just a baby.
"I'm going to ask you a big big favour, can you do that for me?" Fleur crouched down
"Yes, I'm a big girl." Sadie nodded.
"Press these numbers on this phone. I'll write down your address and you have to stay in here until the police come, okay?" Fleur handed her a phone.
"Oki doki." Sadie took the phone.
"Press 911. Tell them that mommy and daddy don't feel too good. But you don't say that we were here. Tell the nice person that Dove and Angel were here."
Sadie nodded as she pressed the buttons on the phone.
"There we go. Good girl." Fleur nodded,"We have to go now."
"Oh, okay." Sadie smiled softly.
"We love you, darling." Elijah told her as he sat Lexi down.
Little Lexi just babbled as she lay down.
"Remember, don't leave the room." Fleur pointed, opening the window.
"I won't." Sadie assured her.
"Bye sweethearts." Fleur held the window open for Elijah.
"Bye bye." Sadie waved to them as they left.
The duo then got into the car, driving off.
"Mervia will be okay." Fleur sighed.
"And you took care of Jacob?" Elijah asked, scratching at his arms.
"Yes, I took care of Jacob." Fleur took his hand,"Don't listen to the Angels, we did the right thing."
"They won't shut up." Elijah tried covering his ears.
"Want to focus on some music?" Fleur asked.
"Mhm.."
Fleur turned the music on,"Focus on the music."
"Focus.. I focus." Elijah closed his eyes.
"You've got this. The Angels don't control you."
"No.. No, I control me. I control me." Elijah nodded slowly.
"That's right." Fleur nodded,"You're doing great."
Elijah uncovered his ears and held himself,"I'm.. I think I'm okay."
"You did it, cherié."
"I did it." Elijah clapped.
Fleur smiled,"There we go."
*********************************
"Are you Sadie?" Emily asked the small girl as he entered the kid's room.
Sadie nodded, holding her Teddy.
"Hi sweetheart, my name's Emily." Emily crouched near her,"Does your teddy have a name?"
"Her name is.. Sweetie."
"That's lovely." Emily told her,"Can I ask you some questions?"
"Mhm."
"Did you hear anything early today? Maybe a loud bang?"
"I heard a big thud. It went bam!"
"And.. Did you ever leave the room to go check what it was?" Emily asked.
"No, I got told not to." She shook her head.
"Who told you not to? Your mom?" Emily raised a brow.
"No, mommy was sleeping." She hummed.
"Oh.. Well who told you to stay here then?"
"Angel and Dove."
"Angel and Dove?" Emily tilted her head slightly.
"They helped mommy." Sadie hugged Sweetie,"Angel stayed with me and Lexi."
"Could you tell me what Angel looks like?" Emily raised a brow,"I know it's a little scary but we need to find them."
"Angel.. He had curly hair."
"Uh huh.."
"And he had flowers on his shirt." She smiled.
"That's nice. What did you and Angel do?"
"We played dollies while Dove spent time with mommy and daddy."
Emily nodded slowly,"Where did Angel and Dove go? We need to ask them some questions so they can help your mommy."
"They went out the window to the car. Dove said I'm a good girl."
"You're a very good girl." Emily told her.
"And- And Eli helped with Lexi." Sadie added.
"Eli?" Emily paused,"Is that Angel's name?"
Sadie covered her mouth,"Oh nos."
"Sadie, you did a good thing. It's okay, I promise." Emily assured her as she stood up.
"I don't want them to be in trouble."
"They won't be, we just need to talk to them."
"Okays." Sadie nodded.
Emily gave Sadie a smile before she left the room.
"Anything?" Morgan crossed his arms.
"Well, our two Unsubs go by Angel and Dove but Sadie let slip that Angel's real name is Eli." Emily told him.
"Eli. Could be short for something." Morgan sighed.
"Reid, do any of the names on the suspect list start with Eli? Or have it in the name?" Emily turned to him,"He's a male with curly hair."
Reid looked at the list,"We have an.. Ellias, Elijah and Elliot."
"Okay.." Emily nodded slowly," Would Sadie be able to tell us if we got her a picture?"
"We could try. She's only four but it could be worth a shot. I'll get Garcia to send me over their pictures."
"Good."
After about ten minutes, Reid came back upstairs, handing them three pictures.
Emily nodded and headed back into the room,"Sadie, I need you to do something really important for me."
"Mhm?"
"Can you tell me which one of these men is Angel?" Emily held out the photos.
Sadie hummed, going between the men before she pointed to a man. Elijah Ganet.
"Thank you, Sadie. You're a very good girl." Emily told her.
Sadie smiled and sat on her bed.
Emily left once again and looked at the two boys,"Elijah Ganet. That's our Angel."
"Mama, can you get us an address?" Morgan asked Garcia over the phone.
"Already on it." Garcia hummed as she typed,"And.. Boom! I've sent it to your phones."
"Thank you." Morgan hummed.
"I'll try and get as much on Elijah as I can." Garcia told him as she hung up.
"Let's go pay Angel a visit." Morgan sighed.
*********************************
Elijah was sat on the couch of his and Fleur's apartment. He was praying, trying to keep the angels quiet. That's when the door went.
"I'll get it cherié, you keep at it." Fleur assured Elijah as she walked by.
"Mhm." Elijah hummed softly.
"Bonjour?" Fleur answered the door.
"Special Agents Hotchner, Morgan and Rossi. We're looking for Elijah Ganet." Hotch spoke.
"Can I ask why?" Fleur tilted her head.
"He's a suspect in our murder investigation." Hotch answered.
"Murder investigation?" Fleur blinked,"We're talking about the same Elijah?"
"We have an eye witness placing him at the scene of the most recent murder." Morgan told her.
"That's impossible." Fleur shook her head.
"Why's that?"
"I've been with him the whole time. I'm sure you're mistaken, Agents." Fleur sighed,"He can't be disturbed right now."
"Why? We just want to talk." Rossi shrugged.
"He's praying." Fleur shook her head,"Wait two minutes until he's done, please?"
"I suppose we can wait." Hotch nodded.
"Thank you." Fleur smiled, closing the door before rushing over to Elijah.
"Elijah."
"Fleur, what's wrong?" Elijah peeked open one eyes.
"The FBI are here." Fleur crouched down,"They have a witness of you being at Mevria's house."
"Well, I was at Mervia's house." Elijah nodded slowly.
"No, Elijah.. If we say you were there then they're going to take us away." Fleur shook her head.
"But why would they do that? We're helping."
"They don't see it like that, Cherié." Fleur sighed.
"Well, what do we do?" Elijah asked her.
"We need to lie. I know the Angels say it's bad but if it helps us, they won't mind." Fleur nodded.
"Okay.. I'll try."
"I'll be with you the whole time, don't worry." Fleur kissed his head before going to the door and opening it.
"Is Elijah ready to come with us now?" Rossi asked.
"I have to come with him." Fleur told them.
"We were going you anyway, we need to ask you some questions as well." Morgan nodded.
"Me?- Right, right." Fleur nodded,"Elijah, these nice men are going to take us now."
Elijah nodded slowly as he walked over, he didn't trust them. They told him not to.
Fleur rubbed Elijah's arm,"Okay, we're ready."
"Come on, let's go." Hotch nodded.
Fleur took Elijah's hand as they walked out. She needed to protect Elijah, no matter what.
*********************************
Elijah was sat in the interrogation room, his leg bouncing. He didn't like it, the enclosed space and the Angels kept shouting at him.
"Alright, hi Elijah." Rossi nodded as he and Reid walked in.
Elijah looked towards them, giving them a nod.
"So, where were you last night around.. Seven o'clock?" Rossi sat down.
"Home."
"Are you sure?"
"I'm sure."
"So what were you doing while you were home?" Rossi tilted his head.
"Praying, they get angry when I don't." Elijah shook his head
"Who gets angry?" Reid blinked.
"The Angels." Elijah told him,"Fleur can't hear them, but I can."
Reid nodded slowly,"What do the Angels tell you to do?"
"Everything. They tell me when I can eat, when I've been bad, when to pray."
"So what happens if.. You've been bad, what do they do?"
"They tell me to punish myself" Elijah told him.
"How do you punish yourself?"
"Sometimes they tell me what to do but I usually do it with anything I can find." Elijah held up his bandaged hand,"They told me to burn my hand last week, I ate without their permission."
"Have they told you to punish yourself recently?" Reid looked at his hand.
"Yes, I ate again. They haven't stopped talking."
"What helps them stop talking?'
"Music. If I focus on the music, it gets them to be quiet." Elijah rubbed his arms.
"Are they talking right now? We can get some music for you."
Elijah nodded, looking down at his hands. Reid nodded slowly, getting up from his chair and walking out to the hall with Rossi.
"What do we think?"
"His behaviour seems a little erratic but.. I'm not sure how he'd be our dominant personality." Rossi shook his head,"It's not adding up."
"We just need to see Morgan and Emily get off of Fleur." Reid sighed.
Rossi nodded,"Let's go try and find him some music. Might calm him down."
Reid nodded in agreement as they walked down the hall.
*********************************
"Hey Fleur, are you alright answering some of our questions?" Emily asked as she and Morgan walked in.
"Yeah, yeah of course." Fleur nodded,"Is Elijah okay?"
"He's doing alright." Emily assured her.
"Can you tell us where you were last night, roughly seven o'clock?" Morgan raised a brow.
"We had just came home from our group we attend. We were feeding the cats." Fleur nodded.
"What kind of group is it?"
"It's a group for trauma survivors."
"I see." Emily nodded,"Is that where you and Elijah met?"
"Mhm. It was years ago." Fleur chuckled.
"You two seem really close."
"We're practically like brother and sister. I help Elijah."
"How do you help him?" Morgan asked.
"He's not.. He hears voices. Angels, he calls them." Fleur sighed,"It's horrible for him."
"Has he ever tried to get treatment for these voices?"
"No, he claims the Angels won't let him. All I want to do is help him."
"If Elijah did something bad.. Would you cover it up to help him?" Morgan leaned forward.
Fleur looked at Morgan, tilting her head,"Well, that depends on what the bad thing is."
"What if he hurt someone accidentally?" He raised a brow,"Or if the Angels told him to."
"I'd do anything to help Elijah, handsome." Fleur hummed.
Morgan chuckled as he stood up,"Flattery won't work on me."
"It's just a nickname, don't worry." Fleur shrugged,"But I will always help Elijah."
"Do you need anything like water?" Emily asked her.
"No thank you, Cherié." Fleur hummed.
"Well, we're going to go talk to the rest of our team, alright?"
"Of course." Fleur leaned back.
Emily gave her a smile before she left the room with Morgan.
"Well? What do you think?"
"I think she's covering for Elijah. You heard her say how close they were."
"She would do anything for hin." Emily nodded,"Even if it meant covering up a murder."
Emily nodded,"Even if it meant covering up a murder."
"Let's see what Garcia has on them so far." Morgan sighed, walking to the Conference Room.
"Garcia?" Hotch turned to the phone as Morgan and Emily entered.
"Who do you want to know about first because either one is just as bad." Garcia whined.
"Start with Fleur." Morgan nodded,"I'm not convinced she's actually killing these people."
"Fleur Howards, previously Cosette Lambert." Garcia sent over pictures,"Her.. Her parents sold her to traffickers when she was a child. She moved away from France when she was a teenager and not much else is known after that. She has a record, but it was expunged."
"That's probably why she's in that group then. I can't imagine having to go though that." Emily shook her head.
"She feels overpowered by men, it's probably why she'll cover for Elijah." Morgan pointed,"What about his record?"
"Elijah Ganet, he has minor things, shoplifting really, but nothing violent." Garcia told him.
"Ganet.. I know I've heard that name before." Rossi sighed.
"You are right.. His father was Benjamin Ganet, killed over ten women."
"Like father, like son." Morgan shook his head,"What else have you got on this guy?"
"His.. Mother died when he was fifteen. They ruled Elijah out because he was young and injured. They found her at the bottom of the stairs." Garcia sighed.
"Just like Jacob." Morgan nodded.
"The bodies fit the profile." Hotch sighed.
"So, we've got a man whose dad is a murderer, his mom died 'accidentally' in the same way as our victim and he's unpredictable." Morgan crossed his arms.
"I'm still not convinced." Reid spoke up.
"Why not?"
"Elijah strikes me as a submissive. He hurts himself because of the Angels in his head. He's never had help."
"Reid has a point." Rossi agreed.
"I think we need to speak to them both more." Reid sighed.
"Well, go on. Get on it, you four." Hotch crossed his arms.
They nodded, getting up and walking to the interrogation rooms. Elijah tilted his head as Emily and Morgan walked into the room. He preferred the other Agents.
"Hi Elijah. I'm Emily and this is Morgan." Emily hummed.
"Where did the other Agents go?" Elijah asked.
"They're talking to Fleur." Morgan nodded,"What happened with your mother?"
"Mother fell down the stairs."
"How did mother fall down the stairs?"
"È inciampata." Elijah shrugged.
Emily looked up,"Come ha fatto il viaggio?"
"Mi hanno detto di farlo.." Elijah scratched his arms,"Te l'hanno detto? Ti hanno detto cosa ha fatto?"
"No... Perché non ce lo dici?"
"Non mi crederai. Nessuno mi crede mai."
"We'll believe you, Elijah." Emily nodded.
"Lei... Mi ha ferito. È stata tutta colpa mia. Lei... Mi ha fatto incontrare gli Angeli." Elijah told her.
"L'hai detto a qualcuno? la polizia?"
"Hanno esaminato la cosa... Mi hanno chiamato bugiardo. La scuola ha fatto lo stesso." Elijah looked down at his hands.
"I'm so sorry Elijah. You were a victim and no one helped you." Emily sighed,"Can I ask you something?"
Elijah nodded, chewing on his fingers.
"Hai fatto del male a Jacob?"
Elijah shook his head,"No, non l'ho toccato. Volevo. Ha ferito Mervia."
"So who hurt Jacob?"
Elijah shook his head and covered his ears.
Emily sighed, looking at Morgan,"It's okay, you can tell us."
"No- No, no, no." Elijah began mumbling.
"Kid, you gotta tell us so we can help you." Morgan nodded.
"No! She said you'd take us away." Elijah shook his head.
"Who did?" Emily leaned forward.
Elijah kept shaking his head before abruptly stopping, his eyes landing on a pen on the desk. He reached for it and began stabbing it into his arm.
"No- Elijah!" Emily grabbed the pen.
"I'm sorry.. I'm sorry.." Elijah pulled his knees to his chest.
"It's.. It's okay. We'll be back, okay? The music's coming on for you." Emily smiled.
Elijah rocked back and forth on his chair. He didn't want them to take Fleur away. Morgan and Emily left the room, Emily turning to Morgan.
"He can't be our dominant.. Look at him."
Morgan sighed,"I know when to admit I'm wrong. That kid needs some serious help."
"And we'll make sure he gets it. But we need to figure out what's gone on." Emily nodded.
"Hopefully Rossi and Reid can help us find out."
Meanwhile Rossi and Reid sat down in front of Fleur who was fixing her nails.
"Fleur, I'm Rossi and this Doctor Reid." Rossi introduced,"We'd just like to ask you some more questions."
"I feel like a celebrity today." Fleur chuckled.
"I'm not sure Elijah does." Rossi commented,"Our other team members think he did all this."
"He didn't. I'm telling you, we were home."
"You said it yourself, you'd do anything for him." Rossi crossed his arms,"Even covering up his crimes."
"I never said I would cover up a crime." Fleur copied Rossi's movements.
"Come on, be honest with me here. There's no way Elijah could've done any of this alone." Rossi shook his head,"So you either helped cover it up or.."
"Or?" Fleur tilted her head.
"Or you did it."
"How would I have done it? Is there any evidence?"
"Not necessarily. But there's certainly evidence that Elijah did it."
"How?" Fleur asked.
"Sadie picked him out of three photos. She said Dove and Angel were there, letting slip that Angel went by 'Eli'."
"We've met Sadie before. She's came to the group before. She must have saw someone who looked like Elijah and thought it was him." Fleur shrugged.
"With your past, it would make sense for you to be.. Threatened by an unstable male presence." Reid looked up at her.
"Threatened?" Fleur scoffed.
"More likely to submit to their wishes, do as your told." Reid shook his head,"Did you leave that knife behind because he told you to? Or is that how they taught you?"
Fleur's once innocent look faded away from her face, narrowing her eyes,"I want my lawyer."
"Looks like we found our dominant." Rossi nodded as he stood up.
"Elijah won't be speaking either, you've messed him up too much. My lawyer will be his lawyer." Fleur spoke before leaning back in her chair.
"Elijah's not going to court." Reid told her,"He's not fit to stand trial."
"Then he better get some help." Fleur shrugged.
*********************************
Everyone was gathered in the conference room where Garcia was on call. She had more information.
"Tell us what you've got, mama." Morgan turned to her.
"Okay, we know that Fleur is the dominant now. We know why Elijah is called Angel, but do we know why Fleur is called Dove?"
"I certainly don't." JJ shook her head.
"Fleur was in a sex trafficking ring growing up, which is horrible for her. But you want to know what else she was in? The Doves." Garcia pointed.
"I knew it." Reid snapped his fingers.
"Knew what?" Hotch turned.
"The Doves, it makes much more sense now." Reid stood up,"They're a sex-trafficking group that originated in France although they travel across Europe to avoid detection. As well as the sex trafficking though, they also train those kids how to kill, be assassins, in other words."
"So.. Fleur's an assassin. That's why there was no evidence to prove her guilt." Rossi sighed.
"And.. Another thing." Reid sighed,"The Doves had amazing lawyers, some of the best out there."
"Of course they do." Morgan cursed,"We need every piece of evidence we can get."
"I helped shut down the Doves." Rossi shook his head,"If there's any evidence, we're not going to find it."
"Everyone needs to be on this." Hotch pointed.
"There has to be something." Emily nodded.
*********************************
The jury were making a verdict, the Agents were waiting in the court. Fleur and her lawyer at the front.
"Well.. How do you think that went?" Emily asked.
"I think we might have a chance." JJ sighed.
"Fingers crossed." Morgan nodded.
"The jury have decided on a verdict." One of the jury members stood up.
"Read out your verdict." The judge nodded to him.
"Fleur Howards is.. Not guilty. Elijah Ganet will remain in an institution to help his delusions until he's better." The jury member nodded.
"I wish I could say I didn't see this coming." Rossi shook his head.
"We- She killed all those men. Surely she needs some time." JJ pointed.
"I did say they had good lawyers."
"What are we going to do?"
"What can we do? They've made up their minds." Hotch sighed,"We might have to just.. Let this one go."
"God damn it." Emily cursed.
"All we can do is hope that she doesn't start killing again."
"She'll go into hiding. It's what the Doves do." Reid sighed.
"But she'll be back." Rossi crossed his arms.
*********************************
Fleur walked into the day room, where Elijah was in the hospital. He was sat on a couch, drawing on his arms. It was a new favourite pass time of his.
"Elijah." Fleur smiled.
"Fleur, hi." Elijah looked up at her.
"How are you?" She dst down beside him.
"I'm good, it's quiet here." Elijah hummed.
"You haven't been hearing the Angels?"
"Not as often."
"I'm really glad." Fleur hummed,"I like your drawings."
"Kimi told me to draw instead of hurting myself." Elijah smiled,"Now I have lots of flowers."
"They're very cute flowers."
"Thank you." Elijah hummed as he played around with the pen.
"So who brought you this pen?" Fleur asked.
"The FBI Doctor."
"Doctor Reid?"
"Mhm, the one with the pretty eyes." Elijah nodded.
"Does he come see you often?"
"He does. He's really nice."
Fleur nodded slowly,"I'm glad he comes and visits you."
"He asks a lot of questions." Elijah commented.
"Like?"
"He asked a bit about before, but I didn't like that." Elijah shook his head,"But he asks me what I like, things I want to do when I'm better."
"I'm glad, Cherié." Fleur hummed.
Elijah smiled,"But what about you? What have you been doing?"
"I've been good. I've been with.. Pierre." She sighed.
"No. We don't like him." Elijah shook his head.
"He helped get us safe." Fleur nodded.
"But he's a bad man." Elijah whispered.
"I know he is, Cherié. But I had to thank him for getting us safe. Don't worry, he's going soon."
"Good. I don't like him." Elijah crossed his arms, careful not to smudge his artwork.
"Don't worry." Fleur kissed his head,"Tell you what, I'll come visit you later on."
"Yay, please do."
"I love you." Fleur hummed.
"I love you too." Elijah smiled.
"I'll come see you later." Fleur got up.
"Bye bye." Elijah waved.
