Chapter 26 - About Face

Elijah was humming to himself, putting out food for the cats.

"Boo!" Reid shouted, a pumpkin mask over his face.

"Jesus-" Elijah jumped back, holding onto the counter.

"Sorry." Reid laughed, removing the mask.

"What- Why?" Elijah held his chest.

"I didn't mean to scare you- I mean, I did but-"

Elijah sighed,"I know."

"Come on, Halloween's great."

"Oh, yes. It's great." Elijah nodded,"Just not when people jump out at you."

"But you love me."

"That is true." Elijah smiled at him.

"How much do you love me?"

"A lot." Elijah hummed.

Reid smiled and kissed his cheek,"I'm bringing my stuff to work."

"You are?"

"All my masks and Halloween stuff." Reid nodded.

"Are you going to scare Morgan?" Elijah asked.

"Hell yeah, I'm going to scare Morgan." Reid nodded.

"Good." Elijah kissed his cheek before turning around,"Boys, come get your breakfast."

Muffin and Horatio then came running up, looking up at Elijah.

"Go on." Elijah nodded to their bowls, although his eyes lingered on Muffin.

Muffin was slower than normal, not really looking towards his food, turning his head away. Meanwhile Horatio began eating straight away.

"You alright, buddy?" Elijah knelt down, holding his hand out.

Muffin sniffed Elijah's hand, giving it a small lick.

"He okay?" Reid sighed.

"He's getting old, Reid." Elijah stroked Muffin.

"I know." Reid shook his head.

"I'm not ready."

"It's bound to happen... We'll hopefully be there when it happens." Reid patted Elijah's back.

"I know." Elijah sighed.

"He's such a good boy." Reid petted Muffin.

"The best boy." Elijah agreed.

Reid then turned to Horatio and petted him,"Don't worry, you're a great boy too."

Horatio meowed up at Reid, rubbing against him.

"You gotta look after your big brother." Reid pointed.

Horatio pawed at his legs, meowing again.

"Sorry bud, we can't cuddle right now. We've got work." Elijah shook his head.

"I'll bring back some Halloween cat treats." Reid nodded.

"Which you will eat in moderation, young man." Elijah added as he stood up.

Muffin meowed slightly, going and laying on his cat bed.

Elijah sighed,"You ready to go, hun?"

"I'm ready." Reid grabbed his satchel.

"Come on."

"Derek, can you grab me the cookie boxes?" Fleur pointed.

"Of course I can, how many?" He turned.

"Four?" Fleur bit her cheek, she didn't mean to bake that many cookies.

"Damn girl, you've been busy." Morgan chuckled as he grabbed the boxes.

"I want Halloween to be fun." Fleur smiled.

"And it will be, everyone loves your baking."

"You can thank my mama's." Fleur hummed.

"Trust me, I do every day." Morgan grinned.

Fleur handed him a spider cookie,"Here."

"Aw, now isn't this cute." Morgan took a bite,"And it tastes amazing, as always."

"Good." Fleur nodded, packing the cookies while Marie jumped up on the counter.

"What colour do you want your house, hm?" Morgan looked at her.

"I think she's a pink girl like her mom." Fleur pointed.

"Is that what you want sweetie? Do you want a nice pink roof?" Morgan scooped Marie up.

Fleur laughed, shaking her head. Marie purred and leaned into Morgan.

"Oh, that's a yes if I've ever seen one." Morgan held her.

"You're best friends now are you?" Fleur pointed.

"What have you that impression?" Morgan asked.

"Just a hunch." Fleur shrugged.

"Are we best friends, Marie?" Morgan looked down at her.

Marie purred and jumped out of his arms.

"See? We're just cool with each other."

"She just likes you 'cause you give her cuddles." Fleur nodded.

"That's not true." He pointed.

Marie sqeaked, looking up.

"You'll get more cuddles when I get home." Morgan looked down at her.

"From me and daddy." Fleur assured her.

"I'll miss you." Morgan told Marie.

Marie then jumped down, running off.

"You ready to go?" Morgan asked.

"I'm ready." Fleur nodded.

"Let's go give our friends some cookies."

*********************************

"Boo!" Reid jumped out at Morgan.

Morgan jumped, nearly dropping his papers,"Reid!"

"What?" Reid laughed, taking his mask off.

"Don't do that." Morgan shook his head.

"Trust me, I already got it this morning." Elijah walked over with his coffee.

"He's not even thar scary." Fleur pointed.

"Is Morgan scared of Halloween?" Emily hummed.

"Am not." Morgan pointed back at Emily.

"Oh my goodness, he is." Elijah smirked,"I'll make sure to inform Garcia."

"You will not dare." Morgan sighed.

"Cookies, anyone?" Fleur held up the boxes.

"Oh, your cookies are the best." Emily nodded.

"You know it." Fleur smiled.

"I've been very brave putting up with him all day." Elijah looked at Reid.

"You have."

"We haven't even been here an hour." Emily chuckled.

"It doesn't feel that way." Elijah shrugged as he picked up a cookie,"There was a spider on my desk and no cat to eat it."

"You don't get them yourself?" Fleur blinked.

"Why would I?" Elijah asked,"The boys love taking care of them."

"You gotta be a man." Morgan hummed.

"I am a man." Elijah crossed his arms.

"Not killing your own spiders?"

"I do other manly things."

"Don't worry kid, I know." Morgan patted his back.

"So what creeps you out about Halloween?" Emily turned to Morgan.

"I don't know, people wearing masks. I don't like folks in disguises." Morgan shook his head.

"That's the best part though. You can be whoever or whatever you want to be." Elijah pointed.

"No, I'm pretty sure I'm good being just me." Morgan waved him off.

"Yeah, why is it that neither of those points of view surprise me?" Emily asked.

"You know what, though? On the flip side, it does provide a pretty good reason to cozy up with a scary flick with my little Halloween honey." Morgan pointed.

"Halloween honey? Now I'm creeped out." Fleur laughed.

"Guys, he's here." Reid whispered, nodding to the door.

Strauss walked through with a man, Reid taking off his mask as everyone turned to look at them.

"Well I never." Elijah shook his head as they walked past.

"What?" They turned to him.

"That's Agent Rossi." Elijah pointed.

"David Rossi?" Morgan blinked.

"Yeah." Elijah smiled,"Is he our new boss? I really hope so."

"He's the new Gideon." Fleur nodded.

"This'll be quite exciting." Emily hummed.

After a few minutes, Hotch came out with Rossi,"SSA David Rossi, this is SSA Emily Prentiss."

"Sir." Emily nodded to him as she stood up.

"SSA Derek Morgan."

"It's an honor, Agent Rossi." Morgan held his hand out.

"Please, just Dave." Rossi chuckled, shaking his hand.

"SSA Fleur Howards."

"It's great to meet you sir." Fleur gave a smile,"Cookie?"

"Oh, thanks." Rossi picked up a cookie,"Very festive."

"SSA Elijah Deans." Hotch nodded.

"It's been so long." Elijah sighed.

"Oh my- Mr Deans, I do remember you." Rossi nodded.

"I hoped you would." Elijah smiled.

"The last time I saw you, you were in a dress... I'm pretty sure." Rossi tilted his head.

"Ah, yeah- Yes. Yes, that was me." Elijah nodded slowly.

"And finally, Dr Spencer Reid." Hotch turned to the youngest of the team.

"Sir, if I could talk to you later about your work with the Scarsdale Skinner? Psycholinguistics is an incredibly dynamic field and the fact that your profile on his reading habits ultimately lead to his capture is something I find so incredibly-" Reid rambled.

"Reid, slow down. He'll be here for a while. Catch up with him later." Hotch assured him.

"Right- Sorry." Reid nodded.

"No problem, Doctor." Rossi nodded.

"Maybe you two can talk on the jet." Hotch suggested.

"Oh yeah, that'd be great." Reid smiled.

"The jet?" Rossi blinked.

"We have a jet now." Hotch nodded.

"Are you serious?"

"Yeah, comes in pretty handy. Come on, JJ's waiting." Hotch walked off.

"He remembers me." Elijah hummed.

"He's so cool." Reid smiled.

"I know."

"Come on, lovebirds." Morgan chuckled.

"We're coming." Elijah told him as they walked to the Conference Room.

JJ was placing the files down on the table, looking at the others as they walked in,"Carrollton, Texas is a suburb outside of Dallas. Four days ago, Michelle Colucci found this flyer on her front door."

She then showed a picture of the flyer. Michelle on the front of the page with text reading, 'Have you seen me?'

"She found it?" Morgan raised a brow.

"Meaning she wasn't actually missing?" Fleur blinked.

"Yet. She took the flyer to a friend's husband, Detective Yarborough at the Carrollton PD who told her it was probably just a Halloween prank and sent her home." JJ explained.

"Well I don't blame him. Halloween brings out the fool in everyone." Morgan shrugged.

"Still, he stopped by Michelle's house later to check on her. The door was open and when he went inside, he found this." JJ sighed as showed a picture of inside Michelle's home, every inch of the walls covered in flyers,"Still thought it could be some sort of a prank, until yesterday. Michelle was found floating in a small creek just outside of Carrollton. She had been sexually assaulted and.. Her face had been removed."

"Removed? It wasn't animals or fish?" Rossi looked up.

"The Dallas County ME said the edges of the wounds were clean, not torn." JJ told him,"A very sharp instrument had been used. He also found water in her lungs."

That's when the door opened, Garcia gasping,"Oh my god! What is that?" She covered her eyes with the file.

"Technical Analyst Penelope Garcia, this is SSA David Rossi." Hotch introduced them.

"Is it gone, JJ?" Garcia whispered.

"Yeah, you're safe." JJ assured her, taking the pictures off the screen.

"Okay- Just to... Carrollton, Texas has nearly 117,000 residents. A diverse population with a... Well, it's all in there, I'm sorry. Very happy to meet you sir, I'll be in my office." Garcia shook Rossi's hand before running out, turning back,"Door, sorry." She apologised as she closed it.

"Love you, darling." Elijah chuckled.

"She's... Different." Rossi turned to the others.

"You have no idea." Hotch shook his head.

"So, the UnSub tells her she's going to go missing to psychologically torture her, then tortures her physically. Textbook sadist." Emily shrugged

"A sophisticated one at that." Elijah nodded to the screen,"That's elaborate."

"Number one." Fleur picked up a picture.

"That particular mask is known as a false face. Its most commonly worn during Halloween and Mardi Gras." Reid told her.

"Creepy. I rest my case." Morgan pointed.

"False face." Hotch nodded slowly.

"Her face?" Emily raised a brow,"He mocks it, then destroys it?"

"Oh, and Hotch, the media has the story. It broke big." JJ sighed.

"Tell Carrollton we'll be there first thing in the morning. Let's stop this one at one." Hotch told her.

"Yes, sir." JJ nodded.

"If you want some time to get situated, maybe start on the next case?" Hotch turned to Rossi.

"I'm not back to get situated, Hotch. I'm here to work." Rossi shook his head.

"Everybody get your things together. We're going to Texas." Hotch clapped.

"Make sure to bring the cookies." Elijah turned to Fleur.

*********************************

Elijah was sat eating another cookie, leaning against Reid.

"How many of them have you had?" Reid blinked.

"Not sure." Elijah shrugged,"Not enough."

"I swear that's... Fifteen."

"And? Fleur's baking is amazing."

"You're not sick?"

"No?"

"I don't know how to handle you." Reid laughed.

"Come on, who can?" Elijah hummed.

"I can." Fleur raised her hand.

"You do have a point." Elijah nodded.

"I can give you tips."

"Does the kid come with a manual?" Morgan joked.

"He does. I have it at home." Fleur nodded.

"Do not believe her treachery." Elijah pointed.

"Treachery?" Fleur gasped.

"There is no manuel to Elijah."

"Yes there is. I have one." Fleur pointed.

"Then why don't I have one?" Elijah crossed his arms.

"Because I made it up."

"Don't I deserve to know about something like this?"

"Not at all." Fleur smiled.

"Reid, what have you got?" Hotch asked.

"Michelle Colucci was single, lived alone. No boyfriend or ex-husband." He told him.

"Dating?" Emily asked.

"There was nothing in the reports." Morgan shook his head.

"She was an architect, friends and coworkers say she's a classic workaholic. Basically a loner that never left the house." JJ sighed.

"If it wasn't someone she knew personally, it's possible she was being stalked." Fleur shrugged

"Interesting." Rossi spoke up, looking at his notepad.

"What's that?" Reid leaned forward.

"Oh, I'm just thinking out loud." He shook his head.

"Something to add?" Hotch raised a brow.

"No, sorry to interrupt."

"Well, she's pretty. Could be the Unsub met her casually and made her some part of his fantasy." Morgan looked through the pictures.

"And he tries to act on it and she rejects him?" Hotch raised a brow.

"So he tortures her out of anger?" Fleur turned.

"Masks often represent a state of mind. This ones blank, emotionless. Doesn't really coincide with anger." Reid shook his head.

"Reid, it's hard to imagine he did this out of anything less than rage." Morgan showed the pictures.

"Hey, guys." Garcia spoke from the computer.

"What's up? You got something for us?" Fleur hummed.

"A list of Michelle Colucci's clients. She designed office space. Mostly big, corporate remodeling plans." She answered.

"No private clients? One to one contacts?" Hotch asked.

"Doesn't look like it, no." Garcia shook her head.

"Thank you, darling." Elijah nodded.

"Yep." Garcia waved and logged off.

*********************************

"Detective Yarborough?" JJ asked as they walked through the police station.

"FBI?" Yarborough turned to them,"We got another flyer. This time Metro Dallas. Enid White. Her roommate called Dallas PD this morning. Enid never came home after walking her dog last night."

"So, she is missing?" Elijah crossed his arms.

"Well, he wallpapered the neighbourhood with flyers for two blocks around their apartment." Yarborough shrugged.

"Outisde. That's different." Morgan nodded.

"No one saw him putting them up?" Fleur blinked.

"Dallas PDs still canvassing, but nothing so far. They're waiting for you at the new scene." Yarborough told them.

"Mind if I keep this?" Hotch asked.

"Not at all."

"Morgan, you, Prentiss and Howards go to Michelle Colucci's House. JJ and I will talk to Enid's roommate. Dave, do you mind walking to the disposal site with the detecive, Reid and Deans?" Hotch turned to everyone.

"Whatever you need." Rossi nodded.

"We'll regroup in an hour." Hotch told them.

*********************************

"These houses sure are close together." Morgan commented as they got out of the SUV.

"Yeah.. So how do I get a woman out of her house without anyone seeing me?" Fleur walked across the street.

"Well, he must've been watching her for a long time and knew it was safe." Morgan nodded.

"There isn't a lot of cover on the street." Emily looked at the road.

"I have a vehicle." Morgan spoke.

"Big enough so I can watch without being seen." Fleur tilted her head.

"But not so big as to draw attention to itself." Morgan nodded.

"No.. Neighbours would notice a strange vechile parked in front of their house day after day, night after night." Emily shook her head.

"It's human nature. You would notice something out of place in your own neighborhood." Morgan agreed.

"And you would definitely notice a man repeatedly standing on the street." Fleur sighed.

"Yeah, it just doesn't make any sense. He didn't watch from here." Morgan crossed his arms.

*********************************

"We went over this area pretty thoroughly. There's no evidence left." Yarborough sighed.

"I just want where she was." Rossi told him,"Doctor Reid, do we still keep all the old files in the fourth floor store room?"

"I think some are up there. You know, most of our information is on computer now." Reid nodded.

"Right." Rossi nodded.

"Have you had a chance to go through any of our data since you've been back?" Elijah asked.

"Not yet." Rossi shook his head.

"Oh, you'll be amazed. The original team, I mean, you, interviewed something like fourty-five serial killers, right?" Reid began.

"Something like." Rossi nodded slowly.

"Today, we have interviews with over a thousand offenders. Serial killers, child abductions, sex offenders. I could go through it with you sometime, answer any questions-"

"Hun." Elijah took his hand, cutting him off.

Reid took a breath,"Sorry."

"Sounds good, boys." Rossi nodded.

"Michelle's body was found right here. I really thought it was a prank." Yarborough sighed.

"You can't really blame yourself for that." Reid squeezed Elijah's hand.

Elijah smiled softly, squeezing back.

"She made herself dinner."

"Excuse me?" Reid blinked.

"She had time to make herself dinner." Yarborough told them.

"That means she was home for a while before he.. There was time to help her." Yarborough added.

"Water." Rossi walked along the creek,"Obliterates a body, destroys evidence.. But you weren't in the water that long, were you, Michelle?"

"She had rocks tied to her to weigh her down." Yarborough nodded.

"She floated to the surface before there was any other damage." Elijah looked at the creek.

"Just what was done to her already,." Yarborough sighed.

"The salient point is it was the first thing the Unsub wasn't good at." Reid told him.

"Green River dumped most of the bodies in water. But they weren't weighed down." Rossi recalled.

"Well, yeah. We know now its because he didn't care if they were found. He had no connection to them." Reid nodded.

*********************************

"We got anything?" Hotch asked as he and JJ came back.

"Agent Rossi pointed out that since the victims are weighed down, it suggests the Unsub didn't want them found which suggests some sort of connection between them." Reid told him.

"Detective, how long was Michelle missing?" Hotch turned to Yarborough

"She was found on the fourth day." He answered.

"So if she wasn't held in the water for that long, he had her for three days." Hotch sighed as his phone went,"Garcia?"

"I've been running all of Enid White's credit cards." Garcia began.

"And?"

"She made a purchase at 9am this morning at a sporting goods store in Dallas."

"This morning?" Hotch asked.

"What did she buy?" Fleur sat on the desk.

"A shotgun." Garcia answered.

"Thanks." Hotch sighed, hanging up,"She can buy a gun that easily?"

"This is Texas." Elijah rolled his eyes.

"There's no license or waiting period for most rifles or shotguns." Rossi added.

"Is there video surveillance of gun purchases in sporting goods stores?" Hotch asked.

"There's supposed to be." Yarborough looked up.

"JJ, call the store. Find out if it was Enid or the Unsub using her credit card." Hotch pointed.

"Right away." JJ walked off.

"Detective Yarborough?" A young officer walked in,"There's an urgent call from a woman on one."

Yarborough picked up the phone,"Yarborough."

"My name is Enid White." The woman spoke.

"Where are you, Enid?"

"The news report said the police didn't believe that other woman when she saw those missing flyers."

"That was a mistake, Enid." Yarborough assured her.

"I have a gun." Enid told him,"I don't think I can stay awake very much longer."

"Eli." Fleur muttered for him to talk.

"Oh-" Elijah cleared his throat,"Enid, this is Agent Deans with the FBI. We believe you and we want to help you. Can you tell us where you are?"

"El Royale Motel in Dallas. It's Room Six. I saw the flyers. Hurry please, he's going to kill me."

"Don't move, Enid. We're on our way." Yarborough instructed.

*********************************

The team finally arrived at the El Royale, busting down room six's door. Although inside, there was no sign of Enid. On the bed was a mask with the number 'two' written on it and missing flyers scattered around.

"She's gone." Emily sighed.

"Twenty minutes. We were here in twenty minutes. I can't believe we list her." Yarborough shook his head as they walked outisde.

"We may not have lost her. He kept Michelle for four days." Hotch told them.

"But we've got nothing." Yarborough pointed.

"That's not true. Look at the difference in the scenes." Hotch pointed back at him.

"What do you mean? There's a mask, there's flyers."

"Yeah, but these flyers weren't tacked up. They were spread around the room." Fleur sighed.

"So?"

"He left in a hurry like he knew we were coming." Hotch told them.

"Okay. This was under the bed." Morgan walked out with a phone,"A 972 area code."

"That's Carrollton. The hotline number." Yarborough nodded.

"She used a cell phone." Emily sighed.

"You can get a cell interceptor at any electronics store." Morgan explained.

"You can?" Yarborough asked.

"Yeah, they don't cost much. He probably sat right out here and heard everything she said." Morgan sighed.

"But if he followed her here from Dallas, why wait until she calls uus o move on her?" Yarborough raised a brow.

"To make sure it's the police that found the mask." Fleur shook her head.

"We need to gather your men and deliver a profile." Hotch pointed

*********************************

"Garcia, talk to us." Morgan hummed.

"Michelle Colucci recently drew up the plans for a remodel of three floors for a company called Techco Communications. It's a high-tech communications company in Dallas." Garcia told them.

"And Enid White?" Hotch asked.

"Worked there until two months ago."

"He's on two." Yarborough walked through.

"The Unsub?" Hotch turned.

"Demanding to speak to the FBI." He nodded.

"Of course he is." Elijah muttered, answering the phone,"This is FBI Supervisory Special Agent Elijah Deans."

"Your friend called me impotent."

"Did he?" Elijah raised a brow.

"I am not impotent." He whispered.

"Why are you whispering?" Elijah asked.

"You lied. You lied." He repeated.

"Is someone around you? Are you at work?" Elijah questioned.

"He has to tell the news the truth." He pointed.

"I'll get you on the news and you can correct him yourself." Elijah shrugged.

"No, you. You. You correct it."

"By the way, I was looking at the police security tapes from the day Michelle Colucci went missing." Elijah hummed.

"What?"

"You watched her long enough to know she didn't have visitors. She was a loner. Yet you knew that Detective Yarborough was coming over. You must've been right here in this station when he told her." Elijah crossed his arms,"Your face is going to be on one of those tapes. And when I find it, I'm going to paper this city with it, just like you did with those women. Everyone will see it. They won't be able to ignore you now. But you won't inspire fear. You'll inspire hatred and ridicule because the only power someone like you has, is a mask. And once that mask is removed, you'll be as insignificant as you've always been. A loser."

Reid rubbed Elijah's leg, calming him down as he ranted.

"You just signed Enid White's death warrant." He spoke, hanging up.

"I.. Don't know where that came from." Elijah shook his head

"You learned from me." Rossi patted his back.

"It's a different side of you." Morgan chuckled.

*********************************

"Is the building sealed?" Hotch asked as they walked into the workplace.

"Top to bottom." An officer nodded.

"Yarborough. Make sure it stays that way." Hotch told him,"Garcia, which floors did Michelle Colluci remodel?"

"Seven, eight and nine, sir." She told him.

"Got it. Morgan, Deans, take seven. We're looking for a rank and file who made a scene in the last twenty minutes or was here and gone. Prentiss, eight. Reid and Howards, nine. Don't approach him, just try and get a name, maybe a picture." Hotch instructed.

Rossi looked around as the others walked off,"He's somewhere in this lobby."

"What?"

"Can't you feel it?"

Hotch grabbed his badge,"Display your credentials. FBI."

"He thinks we know what he looks like." Rossi nodded.

The two walked about, pretending the 'Have you seen me?' Poster was a poster of the UnSub. Looking around to spot anyone who would panic. After a minute or so, a man caught Rossi's eye and he began walking towards him as Hotch's phone rang.

"Yeah, Reid? Got it." Hotch hung up.

"Sir? Rossi called as he walked after him, drawing his gun,"Sir?"

Hotch then spoke, taking out his gun,"Max Pool. We have your address, Max. There's no place to go."

"This is Agent Rossi, Max. If you do what you're thinking, you won't get to tell them I lied." Rossi reminded him,"Come on, Max. Slowly put your hands on top of your head."

"Listen to him, Max."

"I know what you're thinking, and you don't have to do it. It doesn't have to end here, Max. Please."

Morgan then began to walk out the elevator, Max turning around with his finger on the trigger of his gun.

"Down!" Hotch yelled.

Morgan quickly fell to the ground, grabbing his gun,"Deans stay in there!"

That's when Rossi fired two bullets into Max's chest, causing him to fall to the ground.

"You okay?" Hotch asked Morgan, looking at Elijah in the elevator.

"Yeah." Morgan nodded.

"Uh huh." Elijah blinked, barely able to process what happened.

"He's gone." Hotch sighed, feeling Pool's pulse.

What about Enid White?" Yarborough asked.

"We have his home address." Hotch nodded.

*********************************

"Glad to be back." Elijah yawned.

"I'm just glad you two didn't get shot." Fleur pointed at Morgan and Elijah.

"You can thank my impeccable reflexes." Morgan hummed.

"I wouldn't go as far as impeccable." Fleur chuckled.

"I wasn't really sure what was happening." Elijah shook his head,"I was there and then Morgan and that guy were on the ground."

"I think you still have a little fear of elevators so you were still holding on before you even realised what was happening first." Reid pointed.

"I do not have a fear of elevators." Elijah shook his head.

"Well.." Emily hummed.

"Well what?"

"You were holding on for dear life the time you, me and Reid got stuck." Morgan shrugged.

"If I recall, that was you, Morgan. I kicked the door open." Elijah crossed his arms.

"I got no idea what you're on about, kid." Morgan looked away,.

"And I didn't forget you, squeaking for Hotch." Elijah turned to Reid.

"Shut up." Reid pointed,"Did not."

"You did. Do I need to give an example?"

"Nope." Reid covered his face with a file.

"Love you too." Elijah hummed.

"Love?" Rossi walked over.

"Uh- platonic love." Elijah spoke quickly.

"Son, I knew you all those years ago. If the dress and fake boobs didn't give it away, I don't know what did." Rossi chuckled.

"Okay, you can't say that and not give us a story." Morgan pointed.

"It's not a big deal, guys." Elijah shook his head, taking Reid's hand.

"It is a story." Fleur gasped.

"Come on, Rossi. You tell them how it's not all that interesting." Elijah turned to him.

"It was... Amusing." Rossi nodded.

"Look, it was just some undercover mission." Elijah sighed,"I dressed up to.. Capture an Unsub."

"And did you capture them?" Morgan asked.

"Successfully."

"Then that's a job well done to me." JJ nodded.

"If you're interested, I still have the dress if you want to see." Elijah whispered, leaning closer to Reid.

Reid looked over to Elijah, smiling,"Please."

Elijah smiled, kissing his cheek,"Of course."
