Ryan was just staring at Nico as the latter literally jumped off the pole and landed like a cat, on all fours. I think I also was staring, but then again, I had no idea that the son of Hades could do that. "Nice job!" Jason gave Nico a hi-five. Ryan took a deep breath, and told us: "You three are the most talented teens I have gotten the chance to teach. So let's go!" We chased after him to a series of posts, and he started to run on them!

I leaped up after him- I mean, after balancing on a giant crocodile who has a hide that's shedding water (long story) I should be able to do this easily, right? Well, that was absolutely wrong, because I'm guessing that the water helped me keep my balance then. I got, like, seven posts out before I misplaced my foot and landed on the place where you don't want to know. Nico managed eight or nine,  while Jason barely managed to get across all of them before he fell.

"You cheater!" I called at Jason. "We said, no using powers!!!" Jason just laughed and started running up to a crossbeam. He jumped and tried to use his hands to maneuver himself over, but his legs hit the beam and he fell back down. I quickly ran over, jumped on his back, and flipped over the beam. Nico was definitely cracking up at that, and me sticking out my tongue at him didn't help. He raced up, somersaulted over the beam, and landed in the splits.

"Ow!" he yelped. I grabbed his hand and helped him up, then tossed him a water bottle. Jason had to walk around the beam to get to us, poor thing (NOT). I thought there'd be more today, but then Ryan came over and told us: "I know that what you did today was quite intense, so I'm letting you out now." I laughed at that- the training regimen at camp is even worse! But whatever, I'm all for getting out early.

-10 minutes later-

Jason, Nico and I sat on a bench outside the gym, eating sandwiches and drinking Coke. Jason kept cracking jokes that are so stupid that I have no idea why they are even funny but they sooo are! Like: "Why did the Minotaur cross the road?" I watched as Nico gasped out "Why?" as he spluttered on his Coke. "Because he he wanted to join the bowling party! Get it? Bowl, bull?" I shook my head and started laughing, nearly choking on my sandwich and spraying it on everyone.

Nico was actually laughing, not even caring that he had half-chewed sandwich crumbs on his shirt. Jeez, I think his time with Will Solace has really changed my cousin. Well, admittedly, also Jason and Thalia and Hazel are my cousins, but I prefer not to think about godly relations because, well... It's complicated. Not to mention Frank being my great great great I don't know how many greats nephew and Piper being, like, my dad's cousin so she's sorta my aunt, and Annabeth being my first cousin once removed and urrrgggghhhh!!!!!!!! It's weird to say the least.

"Come on guys, it's dessert time. Ice cream's on me!" I told them after realizing there was a hundred bucks at the bottom of the bag. I took it, stuffed it in my pocket, and chased Nico and Jason all the way to the nearest ice cream parlor, all three of us laughing at the top of our voices about the smallest things.

Yeah Percy! I think we may get a surprise in the next chapter when the three boys return to camp, and who knows? There may be someone there who will complicate the story...
