Christ
Jesus broke bread and told us, "eat"
Right hand of Father is His seat
Sat down and washed the lowly's feet
&****&
His mother was a virgin, yet He appeared in her womb
Unreal that His body was gone when they looked in the tomb
And He was born in a manger since the inn had no room
&****&
A crown of thorns on His head
There was much blood that He shed
Suffered until He was dead
&****&
He freed us from sin
And lives deep within
May joy; hope begin
&****&
So life has no end
A God and man blend
Our savior and friend
Author's Note: This poetry form is called Christ-in-a-Rhyme. It creates the shape of a beautiful cross.
