"Maria."
What the fuck is this bitch doing here?
"Harry, I thought you two had gone back home early this morning?" Gemma asks frantically, darting her eyes between the both of us.
Maria was sitting beside Gemma at the kitchen island, shock and confusion written on her face. Michael and Anne looked like they wished the ground would just swallow them right then and there, the room remaining dead silent as we all had a staring contest.
"I thought I told you we were staying for an extra day so I could show Rory around," Harry says shortly and I turn slightly sideways to avert my eyes to him, "Plus, I'm pretty sure I informed you all I was fixing dinner for us before we leave tonight."
I feel everyone's eyes switching from between me and Maria, no one in the room quite sure how to handle this situation. Honestly, I wasn't sure how to handle anything either and I certainly wasn't sure how Harry was going to handle this.
Hearing Harry take a deep breath, he bends down to pick up the fallen groceries before resting them on the counter. He turns around and leans against the counter with his arms crossed over his chest, his eyes lacking any type of emotion.
"Why are you here, Maria?" Harry asks calmly and I glance over at her.
"Gems invited me so we could see each other before she left for the honeymoon. In case you've forgotten, she's a dear friend of mine and the only reason why I didn't go to the wedding was because I didn't want to put you in this exact position," Maria answers him while a certain type of anger flashes through her eyes.
"I promise we didn't know you two were still here," Gemma speaks up and I hear Harry scoff under his breath.
I chew on the inside of my lip as I fiddle nervously with my hands, not sure who to look at or what to say. Michael and I make eye contact and he gives me a frantic look, his knowledge of the truth clearly eating him alive as he kept his distance from Maria.
Harry loudly clears his throat and I look at him again, seeing he was already looking at me, "Can I speak to you for a second, Aurora?"
"Mhm," I nod my head while I swallow thickly, watching Harry as he takes my hand in his and leads us out of the kitchen.
He pulls me behind him and into the living room, feeling everyone's eyes burning holes into the back of my head as we leave the tension-filled room. Once we're safely out of earshot, Harry rounds on me, his eyes frantically searching mine.
"Harry, listen I-"
"Do you want to leave? We can go upstairs and pack our bags right now," he cuts me off while resting the palm of his hand against my cheek, "or I can ask her to leave. Whatever you want me to do, I'll do it."
I smile lovingly at him, placing my hand over his as I stare into his worried eyes, "What I was going to say before you cut me off was...I don't mind that she's here."
"You don't?" He asks, his eyebrows furrowing together.
"Not really," I shrug my shoulders a bit while glancing over my shoulder, "Gemma wanted to see her before she leaves today and I respect that. They didn't know we were still here, so why should she have to leave just because I'm uncomfortable."
A smile forms on his lips as the troubled look falls from his features and is replaced with overwhelming relief, "You're incredible, darling," Harry chuckles before wrapping me up in his arms, lifting me from the ground and placing kisses to my neck.
My eyes widen as I feel him start walking back towards the kitchen, his lips still attached to my neck and my body still being held in his arms, "Let me down, Harry," I whisper harshly, struggling in his grip.
"What's wrong, Flower? You don't want everyone to see how much I love you?" He teases without letting me go, stepping into the kitchen right as he places a kiss to my cheek, "A bit too late for that now, hm?" I feel my face heat up once he lets me go, turning around to see everyone's eyes on us.
Maria's eyes seemed to be ablaze with jealousy and I couldn't help but to hold back a giggle, watching as Harry takes in her expression and lets a satisfied smirk grace his lips.
I walk up to him and lean in close, busying myself with unpacking the groceries, "You little shit. You're trying to make her jealous aren't you?" I whisper as quietly as I can.
"So what if I am?" He raises his eyebrows at me.
"Care to explain why?" I reply, hoping it wasn't just because he wanted to get back at her.
He wraps his arm around my waist and pulls me into his side, letting his lips graze the shell of my ear, "Because I want her to see I'm not letting her drive a wedge between us. I'm not going to let her have the satisfaction of thinking I'm going to distance myself from you just because she's here."
"Oh, yeah?" I grin at him, turning my head to meet his viridescent eyes that were shining with mischief.
"Yeah," he smirks before placing his lips on mine, completely taking me by surprise as he deepens the kiss and threads his fingers through my hair that still held purple flowers and braids.
Someone clears their throat behind us and I slightly shove Harry away from me, turning my head to see Anne giving us a knowing look, "Harry, you need to get started on dinner before you and Aurora leave for the airport."
"Yes, mum," Harry grins at her before connecting his lips with mine once again.
I feel a laugh fall from my lips as Harry continues to kiss me, "Baby, stop. I think you've made your point," I break away from his kiss and cut my eyes over to Maria, seeing she was staring at us with jealousy rolling off of her in waves.
"The night's still young, Flower," he winks at me and I simply roll my eyes. Stepping away from him, I walk over to Gemma, taking the seat beside her while Maria sat on the other side.
"You two are going to cause a lot of trouble tonight," Gemma whispers in my ear with a slight smile gracing her lips.
"His idea...not mine," I whisper back with the same amount of mischief dancing in my eyes as Harry's was now, "So, Gem. Where are you going for your honeymoon?"
"Two places, actually. We'll be gone for a month but we get to spend it in Greece and Bora Bora," she informs me while casting an excited smile over her shoulder to Michael.
My eyes widen at the mention of Greece, recalling my trip there with my family when I was seventeen, "Which part of Greece? I've been to Santorini and Athens with my family."
"You have?" Harry asks me as he grabs the pots and pans, sending a curious look my way.
"Mhm. We stayed for a week and a half over the summer before my senior year of high school. Absolutely magical," I nod my head eagerly.
"Well, I'd have to say Bora Bora is better. Remember our trip together there, H?" Maria speaks up and I instantly snap my heads towards her, seeing a smug look on her face as she eyes Harry up and down.
This bitch better not do what I think she's about to do.
"Oh, uhm," Harry stammers as a pretty blush tints his cheeks, "Uhm, yeah. Yeah I do...remember."
"Well, I haven't been to Greece before but I don't see how Greece could ever compare to an island as beautiful as Bora Bora," she says while resting her chin in the palm of her hand.
I narrow my eyes at her, "How would you know if Bora Bora is better than Greece if you've never been there before?"
"Don't have to. I'm sure nothing can compare to Bora Bora," she replies while shrugging her shoulders as if she was bored with this conversation now, "Especially when you spend it with a certain someone."
I feel my nostrils flare as she continues to stare at Harry like he was some prize to be won, his backside facing us as he prepared dinner. Harry clears his throat uncomfortably and I simply roll my eyes, returning my attention back to Gemma.
"Anyways. Which part of Greece are you two going to?" I ask her while planting a sincere smile on my face.
"Santorini," Gemma replies, fiddling with her fingers that were resting on the countertop.
Tension was filling the room and everyone could feel it. Michael and Anne were standing awkwardly in the corner of the kitchen while Harry kept himself busy by cooking dinner. Gemma was obviously uncomfortable sitting in between me and Maria. So what was supposed to be a relaxing evening with Harry's family was now turning into an awkward evening.
Silence settled itself around us and I found myself shifting in my seat while watching Harry fix dinner.
"Excuse me for a moment," Anne speaks up before slipping out of the kitchen.
Hearing Anne make her way up the stairs, I avert my eyes to Michael. He raises his eyebrows at me, probably to make sure I'm alright given the unexpected guest.
Spotting a pan resting on the counter just a few inches from my hand, I grab it and pretend to hit my head with it a few times before putting it back down to avoid any unwanted judgemental glance from Gemma or Maria.
A strangled laugh escapes Michael as I bite down on my bottom lip to disguise my smile from the two other girls who have definitely caught on with odd looks on their faces.
Looking down to the countertop to avoid their eyes, Michael's quiet giggles stop abruptly.
"Harry. Aurora," Anne walks back into the kitchen, a white bed sheet held in her hands, "Why was this in the bathroom?"
My eyes widen as Harry spins on his heel. His face immediately turns red and Michael finally laughs out loud, Anne's face mimicking one of shock once she realizes why exactly the bed sheet might be in the bathroom.
"I'll take that, mum," Harry quickly grabs the sheet from her while sending me an embarrassed glance.
I cover my mouth with my hand while Michael doubles over in laughter, Gemma letting a few giggles escape too. Harry quickly leaves the kitchen to do whatever with the sheet, Anne shaking her head with a small smile playing on her lips.
"Looks like we weren't the only ones who got lucky last night, Gem," Michael chirps just as Harry walks back into the kitchen. Anne raises her hands up in defense before slowly turning on her heel and walking out of the kitchen
Gemma and I both gasp while Harry stops in his tracks beside me, a smirk dancing it's way across his lips, "Stop it, Mike!" Gemma snaps.
As Harry walks back towards the stove to finish cooking dinner, I see Michael stick his fist out for a fist bump, in which Harry chuckles before knocking his fist against Michael's, "Cheers, mate," Harry snickers, turning his head over his shoulder to wink at me.
"Cheers," Michael grins and winks at Gemma.
I roll my eyes while getting up from my seat, walking to stand beside Harry, "A fist bump for having sex? Very classy, Capolavoro."
"I think it's rather appropriate," he grins before leaning towards me to press a chaste kiss to my lips, "I also recall hearing you say we could make-out. Does that offer still stand?" He asks rather loudly and I instantly press a finger to his lips.
"Harry, stop!" I giggle as he starts placing kisses to my finger, wrapping his arm around my waist and drawing me closer to him. I laugh as he keeps pressing quick kisses to my finger, grinning at me before capturing my lips with his.
Breaking away from the kiss once I hear music begin to play, I look over at Michael to see him grinning at us while holding his phone in his hand.
"I figured we needed some music," he shrugs his shoulders as Teach Me How To Love starts flowing through the speakers of the small bluetooth speaker.
"I love Shawn Mendes," Gemma grins as she gets up and grabs Michael's hand, spinning themselves around the kitchen.
I raise my eyebrows at Harry as he wraps both hands around my waist, grinning at me like an idiot before he starts wiggling his hips, moving my waist with his hands. Laughing as I wrap my arms around his neck, he starts spinning us around the kitchen alongside Gemma and Michael.
Giggles and Shawn Mendes filled the kitchen while Harry smiled down at me with my arms wrapped around his neck. Taking one of my hands in his, he twirls me around in a circle before pulling me back into his chest, swaying our hips together in time with the fast-paced music.
"Your turn," I giggle before taking one of his hands in mine, standing on my tiptoes to spin him around as he ducks underneath my arm.
Harry laughs once more and pulls me back into him, completely engulfing me in his arms before he picks me up from the floor and spins us around in circles.
I tip my head back in a fit of laughter as happiness fills my entire body, emanating from me with so much force I was sure Harry could practically feel it rolling off of me in waves. Gemma and I start shouting the lyrics to the song and Harry quickly joins in, still spinning us around in circles with the lyrics to the song falling freely from his lips.
"What's going on in here?" Anne laughs, re-entering the kitchen to see us having a small dance party.
"They're dancing," Maria speaks while shooting daggers at me.
What the fuck did I do?
"Join us, mum!" Harry smiles as he sets me down, walking over to Anne and pulling her further into the middle of the kitchen before taking both of her hands in his.
Gemma bumps her hip into mine and I laugh as she wiggles her eyebrows at me. She wraps her arm around my shoulders while I wrap mine around her torso, singing the lyrics with her as we watch Anne and Harry dance around the kitchen with bright smiles planted on both of their faces.
"This is incredible," Gemma sighs as she rests her head on my shoulder.
I hum in agreement, laying my head on top of hers, "Thank you for letting me be apart of this family."
"Thank you for not running away screaming," she giggles and I join her, fonding over the way Harry's green irises were ignited with happiness and laughter.
He makes eye contact with me and grins even wider, coming to a stop now that the song had come to an end.
The moment coming to a stop now that the song had come to an end.

All of us were now sat around the dinner table as Harry brought in all of the food, the last thing he was now carrying being beef wellington.
"Dig in, everyone," he grins as he takes a seat next to me, leaning towards me to press a kiss to my cheek.
Maria was sat right across from me with Anne sitting beside her, Michael and Gem sitting at the ends of the table. It doesn't take long for everyone to fill their plate with food and their glasses to be filled with wine, random conversations becoming the topic of interest.
Harry kept one hand on my thigh as he ate and talked to everyone, the action not going unnoticed by a certain someone sitting directly across from me.
"Remember when you made beef wellington one time and you ended up completely ruining it, Harry?" Maria chirps and everyone's eyes immediately snap to her.
"I guess so," Harry shrugs his shoulders awkwardly, "I've messed up beef wellington a handful of times."
"Well I mean...you almost burnt down the kitchen," she giggles and I notice a small smile twinge at Harry's lips.
Oh hell no.
I keep my eyes trained on my plate as Maria keeps asking him 'remember this' and 'remember that' and 'remember when'.
All of this 'remember' shit was really starting to get on my nerves as their laughter increased and Harry eventually removed his hand from my thigh, resting it underneath his chin as he continued to converse with Maria and sip on his wine. I felt my blood begin to boil as his smile grew wider and wider and he leaned towards her even though she was across the table.
She was effortlessly flirting with him as he flirted right back, the wine bringing a pretty blush to his cheeks while everyone else sat awkwardly around the table and listened to the two exes flirting with each other and reminiscing over their days spent together.
And the fact that Harry was flirting back as well just added fuel to the fire.
His laughter and small giggles pissed me off even further as he completely ignored my presence, training all of his attention on her. It even got to the point where he started asking her if she remembered certain things.
That was when I decided that I had had enough of this bullshit. He had completely pissed me the fuck off.
"Oh, and remember when we went on that trip to-"
"Remember when you fucking cheated on him?"
I couldn't stop the words as they fell from my lips and I immediately felt my eyes widen, biting my tongue as everyone turned to look at me. Michael chokes on his wine while both Anne and Gemma gasp in surprise.
"Aurora, why the fuck would you say that?" Harry snaps as anger fills his once happy eyes.
I cringe at his harsh tone but furrow my eyebrows in anger, "Because I'm tired of her acting like she didn't fucking break your heart!"
"Harry...is that true? Did you cheat on him Maria?" Gemma asks while switching her eyes between Maria and Harry.
"Tell them, Harry. Tell them the truth," I look at him expectantly.
He glares at me for a few seconds, his nostrils flaring with anger, "I don't think the topic is all that relevant-"
"How the fuck is it not relevant?" Gemma snaps as she stands up from her seat, throwing her napkin down on the table. "Are you seriously telling me I've been best friends with the girl who broke your heart and you never said anything to me? I'm your big sister for christ's sake! I'm supposed to be the one who protects you!"
Harry stands from the table as well and I hear Anne mumble something under her breath, "I didn't want to ruin the relationship you all had going on!"
Everyone was now standing, tension once again rising in the room like a tsunami, the waves getting ready to crash onto us and leave turmoil in its wake.
"That is such bullshit! I can't believe you've let me be best buddies with her!" Gemma rounds on Maria, "and you! How could you fucking do that to him? And then proceed to lie to our faces and put on an innocent act!"
"I-I'm sorry," Maria mumbles, tears forming in her eyes.
Harry immediately darts around the table, going to stand by her side and wrapping his arms around her.
My mouth drops wide open as I watch him start rubbing her shoulders, tears rolling down her cheeks as she turns to hide her face in Harry's chest, "What the hell?" I mutter under my breath.
"What the fuck! Why are you comforting her?" Gemma screams as she comes to stand beside me, Michael coming to stand on the other side of me.
"Guys, just calm down-" Anne tries to speak but Gemma immediately cuts her off.
"No, mum! I'm not going to calm down!"
Chaos was happening all around me, and yet the only thing I seemed to be able to focus on was the way Harry gently rubbed Maria's back and whispered in her ear, glaring at me and Gemma all the while. Michael rests his hand on my shoulder but I barely feel it, my body buzzing with outrage and anger.
"It was all an accident. I regret my decisions now and-" Maria begins to speak but Gemma once again cuts her off.
"What a load of rubbish. You can't cheat on accident, you bitch," Gemma spits.
"Gemma!" Harry yells while moving Maria to stand behind his back. "Can you please just let her finish and not call her a bitch in the process? I can tell she's changed and she regrets everything. Just let her explain," he then cuts his eyes to me, "I hope you're happy, Aurora."
Tears prick at my eyes and I feel my fists clench by my sides, "I can't believe you right now, Harry," I mutter as I glare at him.
"And I can't believe you right now either, Aurora! Why'd you have to say something?"
"I told you why! You two were acting like she never went behind your back and cheated. I also think your family deserves to know the truth about her if they're going to keep acting like she's some angel who treated you perfectly," I spit at him, feeling Gemma grab my hand and intertwine our fingers.
It was comforting to know that other people were as equally upset with the fact that Maria had cheated on Harry. He was acting as if it didn't matter when in reality, it did. I didn't understand how he could just act as if none of it had happened and go running back into her arms.
"You had no right to say anything. That was my decision. Not yours," he mutters.
"Don't act like this is all Aurora's fault. You should've told us when this first happened or we wouldn't be in this situation right now," Gemma defends me.
Harry scoffs as he rolls his eyes, "We wouldn't be in this situation at all if Aurora wouldn't have said anything."
"Or maybe we wouldn't be in this situation if Maria had never cheated. Ever think of that?" I snap.
"Listen here, bitch," Maria spits and I widen my eyes, "You don't know anything about me or anything about the situation. So why don't you just keep your mouth shut?"
Everyone in the room goes silent and I half expected Harry to step away from Maria.
But he didn't.
I close my eyes and take a deep breath, willing myself not to break down and cry as Harry remained by her side while I tried to act like her words didn't hurt me. Like Harry's words didn't hurt me.
"I don't need to know anything. You cheated on him, Maria. That's all I need to know that he doesn't deserve you. You intentionally hurt him and he lied to his family because of you. He lied to them for you because he didn't want to ruin everyone's relationship with you like you ruined your relationship with him. I'm not going to call you names or intentionally put you down because I'm not one for purposely hurting other people. I'm simply stating what I know and if you can't handle the truth, then I suggest you ignore everything I've just said," I reply, switching my gaze from Maria to Harry, "Have fun comforting her for breaking your heart and calling your girlfriend a bitch."
"Aurora-"
I turn on my heel and leave the room, forcing myself to breathe as the tears start threatening to fall. Walking up the stairs as quickly as I can, I barely make it to the bedroom and close the door before I break down in tears, sliding down the door as I cradle my head in my hands.
More yelling goes on downstairs as I sob into my hands, replaying Harry's words in my head.
Why the fuck would you say that?
I hope you're happy, Aurora.
I can't believe you right now either, Aurora.
Why'd you have to say something?
We wouldn't be in this situation at all if Aurora wouldn't have said anything.
And then it was the way he was comforting her. Defending her with his arms wrapped around her and his lips close to her ear as he whispered to her.
Even after she called me a bitch, he didn't let go of her. He only stared.
I sit there for what seemed like hours when I'm sure it was only mere minutes. The only thing I could hear was the back and forth shouting of Harry and Gemma and my own heartbroken sobs.
That was when I realized I needed to leave.
Angrily wiping my tears from my eyes, I rise from the floor and grab my empty suitcase sitting near the closet, throwing it on the bed and rushing around the room to grab all of my things. I throw everything into my suitcase, tears rolling down my cheeks and choked sobs escaping my lips.
I was so caught up in being angry that I didn't hear the door open and close.
"Aurora," Harry speaks and I keep my back to him as I continue to shove my things into my suitcase. "Aurora, look at me."
"No," I snap, leaving the bed to grab the rest of my things from the drawer. As I turn back around, Harry was standing right in front of me. I try to maneuver my way around him but he quickly grabs ahold of my wrist, "Don't touch me, you asshole," I spit as I yank my wrist from his grip.
"Then fucking look at me!" He yells and I whip around to glare at him, throwing my small stack of clothes at him in the process.
"Why? Why do you want me to look at you? So you can tell me I'm a bitch too?"
Bending down to pick up the pile of clothes, I gather them into my arms before walking back over to the bed. I quickly fold them before shoving them into my suitcase, hearing Harry's heavy breathing from across the other side of the bed.
"Why did you have to say something?" He asks me and I snap my head up to look at him.
"Are you serious?" I scoff while neglecting my task, "Are you that fucking oblivious to what just went on?"
"It was totally uncalled for-"
"It was not!" I scream while throwing the shirt I was holding down on the ground, "You two were acting as if you were still together. 'Remeber this' and 'remember that' as if you two just completely neglected the fact there were other people sitting down at the table while you practically drooled over her."
Harry scoffs as he crosses his arms over his chest, "I wasn't drooling over her."
"Sure looked like it," I remark before tossing my last item of clothing into the suitcase, quickly zipping it up.
"Where are you going?"
"Home and away from you."
"We're taking the same fucking flight."
"Doesn't mean I can't sit somewhere else away from you," I pull my suitcase off of the bed and start walking towards the door, only taking two steps before Harry was standing in front of me and blocking my way out, "Move."
"No."
I close my eyes and breathe in deeply through my nose, "Harry, I swear to God if you don't move right now I'll scream bloody murder."
"I'm not moving until we talk," he quips back.
"What is there to talk about, Harry? The fact you've been lying to your family? The fact you're blaming me for everything happening? The fact you fucking comforted her even after she called me a bitch?" I let go of my suitcase and cross my arms over my chest, staring up at him with anger blazing in my eyes.
He tries reaching out to me but I instantly take a step back, watching him sigh in frustration before balling his hands into fists by his sides, "I comforted her because she was crying."
"What a lame ass excuse, Harry. You didn't comfort me after you saw tears forming in my eyes."
We both remain quiet as we continue to stare at each other with anger flashing in our eyes, a once happy day turning into one of heartbreak and disaster.
"She's a good person, Aurora," he sighs and I have to bite my tongue to prevent myself from laughing sarcastically.
"So I guess good people go around calling everyone a bitch and cheating on people?" I speak, my voice cracking slightly as my emotions once again start getting the best of me, "and you're a good person too by just standing around letting a 'good person' call your girlfriend a bitch, right?"
"This isn't about me-"
"All of this is about you!" I throw my hands up in desperation, "If you would've just told them the truth, Harry! If you would've just told me the truth-"
"Don't even go there. You didn't tell me about Niall so I don't want to hear about me telling you the truth, Aurora," Harry snaps while pointing his finger at me.
I smack my hand at his finger, "Don't you dare fucking point your finger at me. At least I'm not the one who contacted Niall in the first place."
"But you called him!"
"I didn't call him, he called me!" I yell in exasperation, "The one who did all of the contacting first was you. And at least I didn't meet up with him then proceed to lie to you about it! I hope you know how stupid it was of you to go to a club when you knew I was going to one too."
"Stupid of me?" He raises his eyebrows at my choice of words, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Yes, stupid of you, Harry. It was almost as if you wanted to get fucking caught so I'd have a reason to break up with you."
He remains silent after that, the look in his eyes slowly turning from anger into sadness, "You...you think I want you to leave me?"
"Now that I think about it...yeah," I answer truthfully.
Tears pool in his eyes and it takes everything in me not to reach out and wrap my arms around him, apologizing for anything I might've done to hurt him.
"Aurora, I-" his voice cracks and I wince slightly, "I don't want you to leave me. I never want you to leave me...I love you."
I break eye contact with him and stare at his chest, chewing on the inside of my cheek, "Well, you didn't show that very well this afternoon, Harry."
And just like that, anger comes rushing right back into his body, "Because of what you did! You shouldn't have fucking said anything!"
This time as I look back up into his eyes, I see a different type of anger filling them as tears leave wet trails down his cheeks, "I'm sorry I got tired of you two reminiscing over your past as if you just hated where you're at and who you're with right now!"
"That's not true!" He screams while running his hands through his hair.
"It didn't look like it while you hugged her and whispered in her ear!" I scream back while slightly shoving his chest.
"Oh, fuck off, Aurora!"
"Gladly, asshole!"
I grab my suitcase and walk around him, throwing the door open and racing as fast I can down the stairs. Hearing Harry hot on my trail, I don't bother meeting Gemma's frantic eyes or Anne's scared expression.
Right as I reach for the front door, he grabs my wrist and turns me around to face him, his eyes ablaze with fury and brimming with tears.
"I'm fucking off, Harry. Now don't touch me and let me go," I rip my wrist from his grip once again, feeling my chest heave as I breathe in and out deeply through my nose.
"You can't just walk out like this."
"Oh, yeah?" I raise my eyebrows at him before flinging the door open, feeling the freezing air wash over me.
"Watch me."
And then the door slams shut behind me.
