To say that Harry couldn't keep his hands to himself was an understatement.
Not a second would go by where he wasn't constantly touching me or stealing quick kisses whenever someone's head would turn and there weren't any eyes on us. It really had me wishing we didn't have to go our separate ways after the rehearsal dinner.
"Harry, stop!" I nudge him with my elbow after his hand decides to ride too high up my skirt.
"No one's looking," he mumbles in my ear before nipping it playfully, not removing his hand from underneath my skirt, "And besides...since someone had to interrupt us, I was left hanging again. Which isn't fair to me nor you."
He keeps his hand in place as attention is drawn back to us and I keep myself busy by pushing the food around on my plate. Soft squeezes and teasing fingers leave me squirming in my seat while Harry finds it all rather amusing, sending sly glances my way every chance he got.
"So, Aurora," Harry's cousin, LeeAnn, catches my attention from where she was sitting directly across from me, "I hear you're a florist. Is that right?"
"Yes, I am," I smile genuinely at her before gasping, feeling Harry's fingers ghost over my underwear. I send him a warning glance from the corner of my eye, seeing his devilish smirk dancing its way across his pink lips.
"And you're originally from Florida?" LeeAnn asks me, leaning slightly forwards in her seat while observing my actions, "Isn't it really hot there?"
Harry's hand squeezes my thigh before he starts tracing small patterns on the inside of my thigh, clearing his throat a bit to cover his evil chuckle.
"It does get quite hot there, yes. There are a lot of hurricanes and such, but other than that it's really nice there." I nod my head, keeping myself distracted from Harry's addicting touch.
LeeAnn's attention gets dragged away from me as someone asks her a question and I snap my head over to look at Harry, narrowing my eyes at him as flames dance behind my eyes, "What is it, Flower? Can't seem to keep still?" He smirks at me while sending me a wink.
I huff in annoyance before taking his hand and removing it from its place on my inner thigh, placing it back in his lap, "I'll meet you in the bathroom in five minutes," I whisper in his ear before excusing myself from the table that was filled with his family along with Michael's.
If he was going to be a tease, I was going to be one as well.
Needless to say, less than five minutes passed before Harry entered the one-person bathroom and locked the door behind him, turning around the stare at me with a mischievous look in his eyes.
"You asked to see me?" Harry smirks while taking teasingly slow steps over to me, biting his bottom lip.
"You can't be doing that while I'm sat right next to your aunt!" I cross my arms over my chest, watching as he chuckles softly before finally coming to stand in front of me, placing his hands on my hips.
He walks us backward until my back hits the wall, bending his head down to start placing wet kisses to my exposed collarbones, "So you're telling me you didn't enjoy it then?"
"That's...that's not..." I gasp sharply as his hands travel down and slip under my skirt, rising it up until it was bunched up around my hips, "Harry, what are you doing?"
"Just having a bit of fun," he mumbles while moving his lips to kiss the length of my jaw, "Is that alright with you, Flower?"
I hum softly as my head falls back to rest against the wall, my eyes fluttering shut in pleasure while he ghosts his fingers over the top of my underwear. My hands move to wrap themselves around his curls as he continues to place open-mouthed kisses along my neck, teasingly slipping the tip of his fingers into my underwear.
Without a second thought, I grab both of his hands and turn us around, pushing him up against the wall and replacing him from where I once was. I look up at him as he looks down at me with surprise etched into his eyes, my hand traveling down his abdomen before resting at the waistband of his jeans.
"What...what are you doing, Flower?" He swallows thickly while watching me with wide eyes.
I smile innocently at him before pressing my lips to the corner of his mouth, peppering kisses down his throat. "Just having a bit of fun. Is that alright with you, Capolavoro?" I repeat his words back to him before unbuttoning his jeans and pulling the zipper down.
He inhales shakily while his eyes close, his head falling back to rest against the wall just as mine had a few minutes before.
Pulling his jeans down to the middle of his thighs, I ghost my fingers over the stiff tent in his black boxers, hearing him suck in a breath through his teeth. "Aurora, you don't have to- oh god," Harry begins talking but gets cut off as I start palming him over the fabric of his boxers, his hands coming up to grip tightly onto my hips.
"What were you saying?" I ask him innocently, my lips trailing across his neck and jawline while my hand continues to rub him meticulously.
"Baby, let me do something for you, too," Harry says shakily and I only shake my head, applying more pressure with my hand as I continue to please him.
A throaty moan falls from his lips and I reach up with my spare hand to cover his mouth, giggling slightly as I do so, "Sh, baby. We don't want everyone hearing you."
He narrows his eyes at me and I let my hand finally slip into his boxers, taking his length in my hand before pumping it gently, "Fuck, Aurora," he mumbles behind my hand while his eyes flutter closed.
I smile triumphantly as I watch him fall apart in my hands, his breathing becoming labored and soft moans escaping his mouth letting me know I was succeeding, my plan working out just the way I had hoped.
Removing my hand from him, I hear him inhale sharply, his eyes flying open, "Why'd you stop?" He looks at me with pleading eyes, bucking his hips against me. I only smile at him before slowly unbuttoning his shirt, my lips meeting the exposed skin of his chest as my fingers continue to inch their way down him. "Oh fuck what are you doing, Aurora?"
"You like that word don't you?" I laugh briefly, noticing how often he had been saying the word fuck.
The last button of his shirt stops just above his two fern leaf tattoos and I press kisses to both of them, running my hands up and down his stomach before completely kneeling in front of him. Another loud moan erupts from Harry and he grabs my hair in one of his hands, his hips bucking slightly towards me once again. I kiss his still covered member, a string of curse words falling from Harry's lips and his grip on my hair tightening.
"Remember how you were teasing me back there?" I look up at him, seeing that his eyes were already on me.
"Flower..."
I take his hand that was wrapped in my hair and bring it to my mouth, sticking his forefinger into my mouth and sucking on it slightly, "I guess its payback time," I smile after removing his finger from my mouth and pressing one more kiss to his fabric-covered member, standing up from my kneeling position and pulling down my skirt.
"Aurora!" Harry gapes at me as I'm walking away from him, sending him a wink over my shoulder and blowing him a kiss before unlocking the door and leaving him hanging high and dry in the bathroom.
"Love you, baby," I smile at him right as the door closes.
I couldn't help but erupt into a fit of giggles as I hear his exasperated shout and the string of curse words that followed shortly afterward. I make my way back towards the crowd of people, seeing that the dinner rehearsal was coming to an end.
Gemma quickly spots me and makes her way towards me, giving me a weird look once she takes in my appearance. "You look a little glossy-eyed. Is everything okay?"
"Oh, everything's great," I nod my head while biting my lip, trying to contain my satisfied smirk, "I think we should hurry up and leave though before Harry finds us. Plus, we need to get you home and prepared for tomorrow."
As we're heading towards the door after a few more minutes of goodbye, I spot Harry's head frantically searching the room, his chest rising and falling rapidly while his eyes have that same glossy look that mine had. He catches my eyes and starts pushing his way through the crowd towards me with determination and frustration written all over his face.
"Alright, let's go, Gem," I push her out the door, laughing to myself as I frantically pull her to the car, "There are things we've got to do."
Thankfully Harry didn't catch up to us in time, probably getting held back by all of his family members trying to talk to him. I wasn't exactly sure what his reaction would be if he had caught up, but I was sure it would be amusing nonetheless. By the wild look in his eyes and cherry red cheeks, I knew he probably wasn't very happy with me right now.
As I'm driving back to Harry's childhood home, I see Gemma rest her head against the headrest and close her eyes, taking in a deep breath. "Is everything okay, Gem?"
"I'm just a bit nervous about tomorrow is all. I mean...I'm excited. Beyond excited. But I just feel like there's going to be something that goes wrong or a last-minute detail I'll have to sort out five minutes before the ceremony," she explains to me, letting out a shaky breath, "I guess I'm just hoping that I'm making the right decision and Michael is the person I'll spend forever with. Divorce is something that scares the shit out of me."
I listen intently as she explains her feelings to me, nodding my head in agreement and humming frequently, "I know when I was engaged to Niall, it felt like the whole world was resting on my shoulders. Every single little doubt seemed to cross my mind and I questioned myself every day if this was something I truly wanted to do...which it was. So I know what you mean by hoping you're making the right decision. It won't just affect you, but your family and his. It's a big decision..." I send her a glance, noticing how she was staring at me with a small grin dancing its way across her lips, "But as long as you love him and he loves you, it's a smart one that you probably won't end up regretting."
"Harry told me you were good at making a person feel better about themselves," Gemma smiles before looking away from me.
I blush slightly, thankful that it was dark and she couldn't see how red my cheeks had gotten. I couldn't help but get flustered at the fact that Harry had talked about me so much to his family and here I was barely telling my family anything about him.
It wasn't that I was ashamed of him - it wasn't that at all - I just knew how overbearing and questioning my family could be at times and didn't want Harry to get scared or intimidated, even though I'm sure he probably wouldn't be. It was mainly my mom who I was mainly worried about. She had a tendency to...well...interrogate people.
The rest of the short car ride back to the house was filled with Gemma's nervous banter for everything she had planned for tomorrow and her strict schedule she couldn't afford to stray from. I promised her I would keep her in line and organized, helping her with whatever big or small tasks that I could. I was glad our relationship had grown so fast, leaving me feeling like we had always been the closest of friends and there was nothing we couldn't talk about.
I couldn't help but notice how messed up my fingernail polish was, biting my bottom lip as I recall the events that had led to them being this way. Luckily, the nail polish hadn't spilled onto Harry's carpet, my nails taking the most of the damage and I knew I was going to have to redo them tonight.
The first thing I had Gemma do was head straight upstairs and get into the bathtub, knowing that was going to be the best option to relieve her stress and allow her to get a peaceful night of sleep.
"Didn't you just do your nails?" She questions me as she sits in the tub filled with lavender smelling bubbles.
"Yeah...but then I messed them up," I smile shyly from where I was sitting on the floor, painting my nails the same shade of grey as before.
She raises her eyebrows at me and I let out a fit of giggles, knowing she knew exactly how they came to be that way, "Harry really can't keep it in his pants can he?"
"Actually, we haven't...done that...yet," I mumble while avoiding her playful brown gaze, earning an ecstatic giggle to leave her lips.
"I'll admit, he does know how to be a gentleman...but when he and Maria were together, I swear that's all they did. Maria would brag about it all the time to me and I would have to tell her to stop. I mean, that's my baby brother for christ's sake," Gemma says while playing with the bubbles. I immediately tense up, my movements freezing as I gulp harshly, that statement really being something I didn't want to hear. Gemma looks down at me and widens her eyes, "Aurora, I'm so sorry. I don't know why I keep on talking about her. It's just her and I are really good friends and-"
"No, no. It's fine, I understand. She's your friend and I don't expect you to act like she doesn't exist while I'm around," I assure her, going back to my task of finishing my nails.
"But it's still rude of me to bring her up. You're in Harry's life now, not her. I really shouldn't bring her up. I mean...Harry left her because moving to Rome was going to help his career and she decided to stay in Paris-"
"Wait, what?" I cut her off, furrowing my eyebrows at her reasoning for Harry and Maria splitting. "Harry left Maria because of his career?"
Gemma sends me an odd look, copying my confused facial expression, "Yeah. What did he tell you?"
My mouth goes dry, not allowing me to speak. Either Harry was lying to me or he was lying to his family. Either way, one of them was a lie and somebody wasn't going to be happy when they found out the actual truth.
"He just said that they grew apart. That's all," I mumble, blowing on my nails to get them to dry faster, "I think I'm going to go to bed. Let me know if you need anything else and enjoy your relaxing bubble bath."
As I stand up to leave, Gemma reaches out to grab my wrist, "Did I overstep in any way? I truly didn't mean to, Aurora."
"No, Gem. You're completely fine. Don't worry about me and relax. Tomorrow is your big day," I reply with a genuine smile, leaving the bathroom and softly shutting the door behind me.
My mind was currently getting lost at sea again as wave after wave of questions pummeled the shore until I was sure a headache was coming on.
Who was Harry lying to?
The smarter part of me was saying his family, knowing they probably wouldn't speak of Maria on such high terms if they knew what she had done to him. I certainly didn't care for her myself. In fact, I'd like to go so far as to say I despised her.
She had left Harry broken and falling apart at the seams, leaving him to feel like he'd never find love again. His heart had been ripped wide open by her and yet, he still let her back into his life as if she had never done so in the first place. He had been the one who reached out first. And while he had told me it was to inform her that he had moved on, it still bugged me that he had been all over her at the club and had lied to me about meeting her.
Who tells their ex-girlfriend they've moved on from them, then proceeds to ditch their current girlfriend to spend time with her?
But I knew it was because he still loved her. His heart hadn't truly moved on from her and there was still that part in him longing for her, wishing it was her in my place whenever he would kiss my lips or run his fingers gently through my hair.
My eyes stared at the white ceiling as I lay in bed on my back, knowing sleep was not going to come to me so easily tonight. Every time I closed my eyes, I pictured Harry with Maria in the club as he leaned closer to her and whispered in her ear, the widest smile planted on his lips as he looked at her. I know we had promised each other we wouldn't talk about what happened but it was still bothering me.
The cards had been laid out on the table as we confessed everything to each other during those two hours but it didn't feel efficient enough. I still had those lingering thoughts in the back of my head wondering if maybe Harry was seriously considering leaving me for Maria. The thought alone sent shivers down my spine as I thought about all of the possible scenarios that could happen.
All I wanted was to forget about everything that has gone wrong in our relationship so far and focus on the good. But for me...the bad always outweighed the good, no matter the situation.
"Something keeping you awake, Flower?" A familiar voice startles me from the balcony doors of Harry's childhood bedroom, causing me to sit up straight in bed and let out a startled yelp.
"Fucking hell, Harry! What the fuck?" I breathe out shakily, trying to calm my racing heart and shaking hands.
"You and I have a little bit of a problem," Harry says lowly while making his way over to me, "Did you think it would be fun leaving me like that in the bathroom?"
I gulp slightly at his words, watching his figure as he sits down on the bed in front of me, the moonlight shining in through the window causing white rays to paint streaks across his face. "I'm sorry about that and I'll make it up to you, but-"
"I really didn't appreciate having to ride in a car in such a flustered state alongside my future brother in law. Do you not realize the things you do to me, Flower?" He asks while reaching out to brush a strand of hair behind my ear, leaning towards me as I lean backward, my back hitting the bed once I've fallen completely back.
"Harry, I need-"
"Less talking, more kissing," he mumbles before gently placing his lips on mine, wrapping his arm around my waist as he draws my body closer to his.
I give into him as he touches me in such a soft and delicate way, momentary forgetting about my whirlwind of questions and just soaking up the way his lips tasted like fall and the moon - crisp and warm and inviting. A small hint of the chilly night air encased his lips as if he had dipped them in warm honey and he was now encasing my lips in a honey of his own creation, feeling it spread it's way throughout my body and making me feel as if I were on cloud nine.
Finally snapping back to reality as I feel him move the bottom of my shirt higher up my torso, I break away from his enchanting touch, "Baby, I need to talk to you. It's important," I whisper quietly while twisting his curls around the tip of my finger.
Harry shifts from his position on top of me, leaning slightly over the edge of the bed before he flicks on the lamp, taking in my questioning eyes and soft expression, "Is everything okay, darling? What's wrong?" His eyebrows form a crease down the center as worry paints its way across his face like brush strokes painting a canvas with each flick of the wrist.
"Can we talk in the garden? I don't think we'll get very far if we stay in bed," I reach up and smooth the crease between his eyebrows with the pad of my pinky finger, tracing it softly down his nose and to his lips, "You're so pretty. Has anyone ever told you that before?"
"Mm...no, but you've told me I'm beautiful, so that's basically the same thing," he grins before leaning down to press a kiss to my lips, rolling off of me and offering me his hand as I sit up as well.
I shiver as the cold air from the open balcony door hits my bare legs and I cling tightly to Harry, grabbing a pair of sweatpants and slipping them on before stepping outside. "How'd you get up here?" I question him as I look over the edge of the balcony.
"The ladder," Harry smiles before swinging his legs over the side and disappearing from my line of sight momentarily before his head pops back up. "It's not that far down, so don't worry. I'll catch you if you fall." And with that, he disappears again.
I lean over the railing and watch as he lands gracefully on the ground, looking up at me with a goofy grin as he motions for me to come down. "You better catch me if I fall, Styles. I'm blaming you if I get hurt," I call down to him before swinging my legs over and grasping the ladder that clung to the side of the house, slowly lowering myself down until I felt Harry's hands at my hips.
"See, I've got you, Flower," Harry says softly before gently setting me down on the ground and turning me around to face him, "I'll always be there for you."
"A bit cheeky tonight, aren't we?" I giggle softly as I wrap my arms around him, gazing lovingly up into his starstruck eyes, "How'd you get here anyway?"
"I snuck away once everyone went to sleep. You won't believe how hard of a sleeper Michael is," Harry grins at me while running his fingers through my chestnut hair, his eyes traveling over the features of my face before resting on my lips.
He removes his hand from my hair and gently runs the pad of his thumb across my bottom lip, "You've always looked so beautiful underneath the stars. I swear your eyes easily outshine the brightest of them all," he mumbles before finally locking his eyes with mine, "I don't think you'll ever know exactly how much I love you, Aurora Honeycutt."
I melt at his words, feeling my heart twist inside of my chest and all of those feelings I'll never know how to explain wash over my body, "You really make it hard for me to reply to you when you say things like that. I just end up sounding all stupid."
Harry laughs softly, his eyes coming alive even more underneath the milky white rays of the moon and twinkling stars, "I'm good, what can I say?" He smiles brightly at me, leaning down to peck my nose.
"Cheeky and cocky. What a man I've found," I tease before pulling away from him and slipping my hand into his, pulling him towards the dancing flowers and dewy grass that tickled my bare feet.
"What is it that you wanted to talk about?" Harry questions me after I remain silent, walking hand in hand amongst the magical garden that seemed to come even more alive during the dead of the night.
"Gemma said something about Maria," I start, watching his face to catch his surprised reaction, "I know we said we wouldn't talk about her this weekend but I really have to know, Harry. She said something that...didn't make sense," he grips onto my hand tighter, shifting closer to me as we continued to walk. "She said the reason you two ended things was because of your career and she decided to stay in Paris-"
"You didn't tell her what I told you right?" Harry asks me, worry laced in his tone as his eyes go wide.
He just answered my question without me having to ask.
"Harry, why didn't you tell your family the truth? They speak so highly of her because they don't know the awful thing she did to you. They don't know how badly she broke your heart and left you feeling like you didn't deserve love anymore. I could see how empty your eyes were when I first met you and that had been two years after you left her. I don't even know her and I wouldn't even be able to stand next to her without wanting to yell at her for what she did to you."
He remains quiet beside me, my chest heaving heavily as I feel myself getting worked up. I wasn't mad at Harry, rather than the fact that his family had Maria held up high on a pedestal without knowing the truth of what she did to him. She broke him. And yet his family was completely oblivious and continued to talk about her as if they still saw her every day.
"I didn't...I didn't tell them because they have such a good relation with her. Gem saw her as a sister and mum saw her as a daughter. She had been there for me for as long as I could remember and had all of us wrapped around her finger..and none of us cared because she was - is - the type of person you would want in your life. She's not entirely bad, Rora. I can tell she's changed and she regrets what she did to me-"
"Okay, I think I've heard enough," I cut him off, feeling my chest swell with rage after hearing him talk as if she never broke him in the first place. "Don't you think it's kind of odd that she's just now saying these things? Two years later and she just now decides to tell you this after you've moved on from her? Sure, she probably does feel bad for what she did to you, but she knew what she was doing, Harry. She knew she was cheating on you and didn't give a fuck. The day she cheated on you was the day she decided to intentionally hurt you and that pisses me the fuck off because you don't deserve any of that. Not one bit. And yet she thinks by saying she's changed and she wants you back is just going to make up for the horrible pain she's caused you. So please tell me how she's a good person when she's inflicted such pain on you intentionally and left you broken."
A grin is planted on Harry's lips as he stares at me, the air around me becoming hot with anger that seemed to he radiating off of me in waves of heat. "Why the fuck are you smiling?" I ask him while trying to regulate my breathing and control my anger, feeling my blood boiling after my long rant.
"Because now I know how much you truly do love me."
I roll my eyes while biting back a grin, "Of course I love you, you twit. I wouldn't have just-"
I don't get to finish my sentence as I'm cut off by Harry pressing his lips softly to mine, pulling me impossibly closer to him while wrapping my arms around his neck and curving my body to fit perfectly against his. He calms the raging sea inside of me with just the touch of his lips and stroke of his fingers across my cheek, soothing me in ways unimaginable and leaving my head spinning with love and contentment.
"Thank you for saying that, Aurora. It was something I really needed to hear," Harry mumbles against my lips while his hands softly caress the sides of my face, his curls tickling my forehead and the cold night air becoming oblivious as we share our body heat.
"I'm sorry if I overstepped in any way. I just couldn't keep it in any longer and-"
I'm cut off once again, Harry kissing me harder this time and with more passion than before, causing my knees to buckle. He catches me by wrapping his arms around my waist, slightly lifting me off the ground, "Woah there, Flower. I don't need you collapsing on me now."
"But wouldn't that boost your ego in knowing you caused me to go weak in the knees just by kissing me?" I said.
"Mm...possibly," he rasps, "But then again, it would also prevent me from kissing you."
"Oh, wouldn't that be a shame?"
He only smiles at me while taking in my features once again, "My little muse, you have no idea what you do to me."
My little muse.
It was yet another pet name to add to the books and it was one I was sure had more meaning behind it but I was too oblivious to tell.
A gust of cold wind swirls around us and I shiver, drawing myself closer to Harry. I reach up and outline the soft moonbeams that cascaded over his face, trailing my fingertip along his soft skin until I reached the corner of his lips. They were cherry red and swollen from our previous activity - glossy and sparkling.
I watch as they curl upwards into a breathtaking smile, his cheeky little dimple making an appearance and immediately causing me to swoon. Nothing in the world could compare to his smile and I swear up and down that it could outshine the sun. If there ever came a rainy day, he was always there to act as my little ray of sunshine just by flashing me his million-dollar smile.
"It's getting pretty late, Flower. You should get some sleep for tomorrow," his voice breaks me out of my little trance and I look up to meet his warm gaze.
"Will you stay with me until I fall asleep?"
Without saying another word he leads me out of the garden and back to the ladder that led up to the small balcony of his bedroom. "You go first that way I can still catch you if you fall," Harry nudges me towards the ladder, holding onto my hips until I'm too far up and he can't reach me anymore. I wait patiently for him once I make it to the balcony and quickly pull him to bed with me, kicking my sweatpants off in the process.
We fall backward onto the bed in a fit of quiet giggles, wrapping our arms around each other and snuggling in close until there wasn't an inch of space left between us. One of his hands had a firm grip around my waist as the other twirled the ends of my hair around his fingertips, staring intently at it as if something was on his mind that he didn't want to talk about.
I study him for a few moments, wondering how in the world I got so lucky to have someone like him love me. After two years of feeling like I'll forever be stuck on Niall, Harry proved me wrong with just one look. It seemed almost too good to be true that I was actually lying in his arms and in love again when only three months ago everything seemed so impossible.
"Go to sleep, Flower," he whispers and I realize that he had been watching me stare at him, a hint of a smile ghosting his lips.
"If I go to sleep then that means you're going to leave," I reply, wishing he didn't have to.
He sighs and brings his hand away from my hair to stroke my cheek, "I'll stay until morning then. I won't leave if you don't want me to."
"Good," I smile contentedly, snuggling my head into his chest and breathing in his calming jasmine scent - just a hint of flowers from the garden clinging to his shirt. "Wait, you don't want to leave, right? If you do, I understand and you can go."
"Don't be ridiculous, Flower, of course I want to stay. There's nowhere else in the world I'd rather be than right beside you."
Smiling into the fabric of his shirt, I squeeze him a bit tighter and wrap my legs around his, slipping my hands underneath his shirt and feeling him shiver just by my touch. "I love you."
"I love you," he repeats back to me, placing a kiss to the top of my head. "God, it feels so good to say that."
I fell asleep not long after that and dreamt of what my future might hold with Harry, forcing myself awake once I got too far along and decided that I didn't want to see any more of it. I woke up just as he was unwrapping himself from around me and slipping quietly from the bed, pressing soft kisses to my cheeks and lips before mumbling a quiet 'goodbye' and 'I love you' as I struggled to keep my eyes open.
The weak sun streaming in through the windows told me it was morning and that he had to go but he had stayed all night as he had promised. Although I still didn't want him to go, I knew he needed to and I would see him later on this evening at the wedding. He blew me a kiss and I smiled groggily at his cheeky action, pretending to catch it and press it to my cheek. He closed the doors to the balcony and disappeared back down the ladder.
I roll back over to get comfortable and find a single cluster of blue hydrangeas lying on the pillow where his head once was, a small little note folded neatly beside it. I sit up, rubbing my eyes to completely wake myself up before reading his neat yet sloppy handwriting, smelling the hydrangeas as I read.
'I'll see you later, my Flower. I can't wait to match with you this evening and I know you're going to look absolutely stunning. I love you. Love, H'
