Chapter 2
A/N: If you guys didn't know the italicized (this font) words or sentences are Virgil's thoughts. Anyway, enjoy!
Virgil's POV:
I am currently at my brother's house playing with Thomas. We were playing hide and seek and it was my turn to count. "6, 7, 8, 9, 10! Ready or not here I come!" I called out. I heard giggles echo the house. I hummed in fake thought. "Is he... Behind the couch?" I looked and, as I suspected, no Thomas. I heard more giggling. "Is he... Under the stairs?" I checked a small closet under the stairs. No Thomas. "Is he... Under the table?" I checked under the dining room table. No Thomas. "Oh no! I can't find Thomas!" I smiled as I crept up near the curtains. "Ha!" I shouted. No Thomas. Okay, now I'm getting scared. "Thomas?" I heard no reply, no giggling, no noises, nothing. No Thomas.
"Thomas?! Thomas, this isn't funny!" I ran up the stairs. I ran into the five year old's room in hope of finding him. He wasn't there. "Thomas!" I heard a shrill scream. "Uncle Vee!" I ran to the direction of the voice. "Thomas?!" "Help!" Run faster! I'm trying! He's going to be dead! What kind of uncle are you?! I started to panic as I neared the room I heard him, it was my brother's room. I flung the door open. "Thomas!" I stood there in shock. Thomas was curled up on the floor holding his ankle. "Are you okay?" I asked. "N-no, I hurt my foot." He said. I watched as a few tears slid down his face.
I reached for his foot but he flinched away. "Uncle V-Vee that hurts!" He said. I hovered my hands over his foot. "I know, but I need to check it. Okay Tommy?" He nodded. I touched the back of his foot where his Achilles Tendon is, he hissed and pulled away. "Not there?" I asked. He nodded shakily. I touched the top of his foot, he didn't flinch so I held it and lifted his foot up so I could look at the back. It's not broken. How do you know? I know, it's not broken. I sighed in relief, it isn't broken. "It's fine, I'll go get an icepack and some pillows, okay?" He looked at me with wonder in his eyes. "Movie?" He asked me. I chuckled and nodded. "Movie."

Thomas fell asleep on the couch arm rest. (A/N: I don't know what it's called.) I was about to clean up the broken chip pieces from off the floor when Logan and Patton came back. Logan walked up to me and handed me a device. "This will determine if you have any strange entities living with you." He pointed to the small screen which used infrared light to point out anything. "I thought you were a detective, not a scientist." I snickered. Patton smiled at my remark. "Why not both? He is smart." He gloated. Logan coughed and thanked Patton. There so in love, I wish I had something like that. But you don't and you never will. Can someone dream? Not with me here. Ugh. I thanked Logan and Patton, kissed Thomas's forehead, and headed back home.

As I walked through my front door I noticed there were similar devices hanging on my walls but they were a lot smaller than the one I had in my hand. I walked up my stairs, hearing them creak every now and then. I placed the camera on my nightstand and checked the clock. It was 10:52. Shit, I have class tomorrow! I quickly changed into my black and grey pajama pants and light grey sleeveless top. I got under my blanket and checked the camera on last time. This is it, this proves if you're going crazy or not. I rolled my eyes and silently fell asleep.
