1. The Grand Grimoire

'The Grand Grimoire' was written in the 16th century and it is believed that the person who wrote this book was possessed by Satan. It is also the reason why it is also called, 'The Gospel Of Satan'. People believe that in this book, some spells can be used to call some powerful Demons and also about black magic which can be used to resurrect the dead.

If someone reads even a page of this book then the soul of the reader goes to the Devil and very bad things start to happen to that person. It is the reason why it is one of the Most Powerful/Cursed Book.

In today's time, no one can read 'The Grand Grimoire' because the original book has been hidden in some secret archive in Vatican City. It is said that before hiding the book, many rituals were performed to calm it down.

Now if we talk about the contents of this book, then the book was divided into two parts. The first part includes rituals or spells to call Lucifer, Beelzebub, Astaroth, and many more powerful Demons. The second part includes how to make a pact with Demons, how to talk to spirits, win a lottery, control or manipulate people, and many more absurd things.

The reference to this book is really popular in pop culture like, in games, tv shows, or the name of an album of a Dutch metal band.

Now, how much this book is cursed, estimating it is quite difficult but according to the people, this is Earth's Most Powerful Cursed Book.

2. The Book of Abramelin

'The Book of the Sacred Magic of Abramelin The Mage' was written by a person named Abraham in the 15th century. It is said that one time Abraham had gone to Egypt where he met a black magic-user. Now, Abraham wanted to share the knowledge with his son and because of this, he wrote, 'The Book of Abramelin', so that his son can read and understand it.

Abraham believed that every person had their Demon and after reading that book, the Demon inside could be unleashed in a controlled way. Now inside the book, there are some dark magic spells by which you can resurrect the dead, search up a treasure, call the Devil, etc.

'The Book of Abramelin' was translated into English during the 1900s, after which people bought it and they started to believe that this book is cursed. The reason was that whoever had the copy of the book something bad would happen to them.

People believed that the owner of the book would be haunted by the other world spirits and those spirits brought bad luck. Many owners died. Now, how much truth is there in these stories is quite hard to figure out.

But, this is book is one of the Most Powerful Cursed Books that ever existed.

3. The Book of Soyga

'The Book of Soyga', also known as 'Aldaraia'. A book based on Demonology or the study of demons or demonic belief. It was written in the early 16th century and this is a Latin essay. It is said that there are only two copies of this book.
The first copy was owned by scholar John Dee and his elder brother, and John devoted his whole life to decoding the book.

John said that this book was filled with dark spells and many incarnations. But even John was unable to decode the last 36 pages of the book. Obsessed with decoding the book, John hired a medium who helped him by contacting Archangel, Uriel. Through the medium, Uriel said to John that this book existed since Adam destroyed Heaven and only Archangel, Michael, can decipher it. John couldn't understand these things and after his death, the copies of this book got lost.

But in 1994, both the copies of the book were found in the British Library and the Bodleian Library, and since then, people have tried to understand the book but they were not successful. It is said that whoever understands this book completely will die in the next 3 years.

4. The Voynich Manuscript

The list of Cursed Books, 'The Voynich Manuscript', has the most interesting or in an otherwise unknown writing system. This is because people were able to understand the other books but till today's date, no one can understand a single word of this book. Meaning, it has not yet been decoded. Yes, this book of 240 pages is written in such a language which is impossible to understand.

People believe that this book was written in the 15th century. (Looks like every cursed material was written in the 15th or 16th century, =_=). The interesting thing about this book is that there are pictures but still they could not link them to the text.

Since this book is yet to be decoded, we can't even say on which topic it is written about. But I can tell you that this is book was found by Alchemist, George Baresch, in his library and even, he was not sure where did it come from. After this, many rulers kept the book.

Since then, there have been many there theories about the book. Like, the book is written by aliens or by the Devil himself, and that whoever decodes it, will not only be cursed but the world will end too.

5. The Untitled Grimoires

In 2013, when one online bookseller sold some mysterious books online and, these books were hand-written and the pages were bounded by a spiral. The seller sold the books for around $14,000 which would be 10 lakhs in Indian currency. When the sale was being finalized, at that time, the seller warned the buyer that any non-believer touches or reads the book then a fatal curse will fall upon him/her.

Now if we talk about the book, then it is a 'Witch's Spell Book', which was written by the High Priestess of Wicca, Persephone Adrastea Eirene. People believe that Eirene was a witch and supposedly led her coven. No one knows if Eirene is still alive or not till today's date. But according to the rules, the spellbook of a witch is burned after her death.

All 250 pages of the book are filled with incantations, spells, enchantments, and details on how to perform an exorcism, summon spirits and demons. On the first page of the book, there is a warning written on it which states, 'To those not of the craft - the reading of this book is forbidden! Proceed no further or justice will exact swift and terrible retribution - and you will surely suffer at the hand of the craft.' Meaning, if you do not have knowledge about witchcraft and you still read this book, then something bad will happen. The location of this book and the whereabouts of the buyer are still unknown.

6. The Orphan's Tale

During 1608 - 1615, writer, Martin de Leon Cardenas, wrote a book by the name, 'The Orphan's Tale'. The book tells about a 14-year old Spanish boy who heads to America in search of fortune. The book was supposed to be published by 1621, but it got published 3 years ago, that is in 2018.

So, in 400 years, why the book was not published? Or should I say that for 400 years, how many editors have lost their lives because of this book?

Yes, whoever tried to edit the book was either killed in car accidents or of strange illnesses. Finally, in 2018, Belinda Palacios translated this book and then published it. This is the reason why people think it is cursed. Belinda, while editing the book, was warned by many people that the book is cursed and many editors have died because of it but even after publishing it, Belinda is still alive after 3 years. So here's hoping the curse has lifted off.
