When I got back to the school I decided to try and find the principal's office and when I did, because of reading the signs around the camp, I landed, shifted, and went inside to confront her. 

"Who are you" a female voice to my right said and I looked over and noticed that it was a person in jade armor 

"Are you one of the new Jade Division recruits because if they assigned you to this post they must be seriously disciplining you, but either way it is still discipline" I said and she opened her mouth to say something, but huffed and sat back in the chair that she was in "if you want out of that position then prove yourself to them somehow" I yelled behind me and I heard her stop shuffling her nails against the wall of the building and I felt her eyes on my back in wonder. I continued and I turned a couple of corners, and made a few wrong turns before I stood in-front of two large wooden double doors that were shaped like a castle's throne-room doors. 

"Come in" someone said from behind the doors and I hadn't even knocked yet, but I pushed open the door and stepped in to see a very white filled room with only one chair, a desk with office accessories, and a lady with glasses behind the computer reading a book. 

"Who are you" I asked and then I noticed that I felt lighter than I was, and I looked down to see that all of my weapons had dissipated into the room, but the dark twin swords stayed on my back in their sheathes. 

"That's really interesting" the lady said looking above my shoulder, and she got up and walked over to me. I was now at the desk, and I hadn't even stepped once in that direction. 

"Oh my name is Principal Strange and if you are wondering why all of these strange things are happening in this room then that would be because of the enchantments that I put on this room, and everything but those swords are at my will in this room, but don't worry you'll get your weapons back after our meeting is done" she said and I was so confused "can I see them" she was talking about the dark swords. I hesitated for a second before reaching back and unsheathing them before holding them out to her, but she didn't take them she backed away a little. 

"I can't take them" she said "if anyone else touched these they would be given a curse that would kill them, they would die instantly if they were cut by the blade or grabbed the hilt, and the darkness that is coming from them seems to suck the light out of my room, but what I find even stranger is that they've attached themselves to you young lady" 

"Why did they choose me and not someone else" I asked sheathing them again and the light in the room returned to normal making a noticeable difference that I didn't notice at first. 

"I do not know, but over time they will show you why...I'm guessing" she said and walked over to her desk before getting out a black badge and walking back over to me and extending her arm "I'm pretty sure that you already know where you've been placed in the Divisions, and you were the only one to ace the test, and don't worry I won't say your name to anyone because I believe that you can kill even me if you had to, or decided to" I took the badge and was out of the room in the brown hallways again in an instant, and the familiar weight of my weapons came back to my body. 

"That was strange" I said to myself and a person turned the corner and it was the leader of the  obsidian armored people and he stopped in the middle of the hallway. 

"So your the new recruit huh" he said "it's going to be interesting training you" 

"I don't need any training, and any training that I do is alone and about my own things" I said opening a portal under my feet and appearing in the middle of the academy. I walked around because I didn't feel like flying at the moment, but I stopped when I turned a corner and was taring straight at the big obsidian looking building that I was guessing the whole team stayed. I would have to face Wolfclaw again and I didn't want to see him at all anymore since finding out that he was my mate. Surprisingly my body didn't scream out for him, or want to be with him either, but I couldn't find it in my heart to reject him. I was officially an orphan ever since having to kill my own mother in the arena of that crazy school, and I was sick of schools. I looked at the sun sinking in the horizon and figured that it was dawn and I shot into the air and headed for the forest. I smelled the same mountain lion that I saw the other day, and I shifted into a mountain lion also and even though I was bigger than him it would help him train to go against a big target and run longer distances than most of the other shifters. 

"So you came" he said from his place in a tree "I was starting to think that you wouldn't come, but what are we going to do now that it's dark out" his eyes glittered like stars in the night sky, and then they disappeared as he slowly made his way down the tree towards me. 

We are going to run, and keep running for weeks or months until you can keep up with me I said and he sagged to the floor in anguish. 

"Why are you doing this to me" he slurred the last word a couple lines

Because one, you need to learn how to hunt correctly and two, you need to learn how to fight in this form which I'm sure you can't do yet I said and he looked at me in annoyance and frustration and I don't plan on this taking a year to do, and I am going to train you until you are the best in both forms I opened a portal underneath him and then made one again next to me and he dropped out of it with all of his hair standing on end. 

"What'd you do that for" he growled 

That was to get you up and on your feet because if you are behind I am leaving you behind for the five miles that we are going to run I said and then without any warning I took off running like a blur across the plain and I was done with five miles in a minute of running and I made a circle back to him and when I got back I stood in-front of him looking at him in disappointment whilst he looked at me in complete shock with his mouth wide open. 

"How'd you run so fast" he said "and in the dark. I can barely see anything out here how do you do it" 

You have to use your senses to know what is around you, and what to do to avoid, counter, evade, or go against it in some way I said and he thought about it for a second before looking at me in confusion and I sighed something that was more like a low growl okay while we run I am going to teach you how to avoid things without needing to look at your surroundings, and that is partially why I said to meet at dark, but the other reason was to get used to the forest in ways that you didn't know you could've before. 

"English please" he said making me sigh again 

Fine I snapped what I am basically doing is increasing your senses, and reactions to different things

"Oh that's better" he said and then got into a stance, and I noticed that it was the worst running stance that I've ever seen before. I walked over to his side and pushed him over with a paw, and he got up growling and stood regularly. 

You need to have a firm and balanced stance for everything, and even though we are only doing running the stance can determine death, health, life, or food in any case. 

"Okay then what do I stand like" he asked 

Get into one and I'll fix it to the way that you should be starting as I said and I felt him get into the same stance as before, so I used the earth to grow vines from the ground that I could use to help him don't freak out I am going to use some vines to get you in the right stance I felt him tense don't tense up it will make it harder to do, and when I'm done you'll feel better

"Fine" he said and loosened up a little, but was still a little tense, but I used the vines and wrapped them around his legs and waist making him hiss and strain a little, but I continued to move him and when I was done he was in the right stance. 

"Why do I need to be like this" he said wanting to go back to the other position, but I growled and I could tell that he stopped thinking about it

You need to practice this stance because with this stance you won't be pushed over easily, and you will start and be able to go faster than you have before I said and then got into my stance which was similar to his but I leaned in a little more, and my feet were closer together now let's run I took off, and he was close by but I wasn't really running I was really trotting while he was running full speed, and after a couple of weeks in the woods sleeping, hunting, eating, and training. 

"It's been three weeks and I haven't really improved" he said 

Then why have you gotten bigger, stronger, and faster than you were before I said and he looked at his improved body and then looked at me just as I took off again, and he was at my side in an instant. I was only going half my suppressed speed so he could still see me running and not as a mere streak in-front of him, but it was still three times faster than any other normal animal see you can catch up to me easily at this speed now, but what about when I push you I went a quarter to my top speed and did three big circles around him with his eyes following me the entire time, and then he shot forward just as I was passing in-front of him again and he rammed into me and made me lose balance for a second, and I tumbled to the floor in surprise. 

"Can anyone else do that" he asked stalking over to me proudly, and I jumped up and tackled him to the ground and pinned him in under three seconds. 

Tomorrow we are going to train on your fighting skills I said getting off of him and then a large horn sounded in the distance from the academy something's wrong at the academy I shifted into my dragon and retracted a few spikes get on 

"Me. Get on You" he said taking a few steps back "I'd rather walk" 

Too bad I said and I used my tail and flicked him into the air and then I backed up and he fell onto my back screaming. Then I spread my wings and shot into the air at super speed and he was pinned against the flattened spike that I made for him so that he wouldn't be cut in half because of the pressure of the wind. 

"STOOOOOP" he yelled and I saw the academy and their was a large battle going on, and I flew over everyone to the center of the academy and I dumped off Alex in his lion form, but he shifted as soon as he touched the ground again before shifting and taking out my silver swords, and heading towards the obsidian group at the back guarding the principal. 

"What's going on" I yelled at the captain and his attention snapped towards me and he took out his large double edged, double handed sword and pointed it at me. 

"Where have you been this whole week" he yelled in my face "we've been preparing for war with a neighboring academy and you were off dillydallying in the forest out of sight and off the radar" 

"Well I'm sorry, but some people need to take a break from pressure sometimes" I said angrily flaring my wings and they seemed to get bigger and a little heavier from my feathers extending into sword length feathers with my anger, and they scraped against the floor causing sparks as I stalked towards the leader "and I am not taking orders from an arrogant asshole who thinks that he can take over everyone under his command...which I am not" 

"Look all I am saying is that the whole squad was worried especially Wolfclaw about your absence, and now we need you in this battle, but the principal has ordered us to protect the others that can't fight...and her" he said backing away a little and I calmed down making my wings shrink and the feathers and their size and weight go back to normal. 

"Fine" I said "why are you going to war with another academy" a large boom sounded through out the place and a apartment collapsed a couple of blocks away. 

"Our academy's have been enemies ever since discovering what we both did" Principal Strange said "ever since they found out that we trained for defense and they trained to kill they have attacked us at different times throughout our existence, but they have never done an all out siege like this before" 

"I am going to go help the others in battle" I said and Wolfclaw came up to me out of the crowd and grabbed my arm, and I flipped over him and flipped him over me to land on his back on the ground with my foot on his chest "I am going to because it is what I live for, and what I love to do okay. I love the action, and the scenery of the fight, I love the blood and the spoils of battle and war, I've been in many against armies of hundreds to come out as the only victor, and this is what my life is like and if you can't live with that then I can't help you" he was breathing hard from underneath my feet on his chest and his eyes were brimming with tears, but as soon as they were there they disappeared, and he shook off my foot and stood. 

"I am going with you then" he said "I would rather die protecting you than live without you" 

"Fine, but do not get killed, and as for you guys" I looked at the other seventeen that were around the principal and a couple of people and they were silent and filled with fear at probably what I said to Wolfclaw "do not fail your people" 

"I expect you to be back with out school" Principal Strange said from in the circle around her "I am not going to get that team to look for you again" 

"I knew that they weren't looking for me" I said "what happened to them" 

"I said that you were safe and they were dismissed from the mission" she simply said and I sheathed my swords and they left with their little band of people heading in the direction of the Principal's office. I walked over to where I left Alex and found him panting on the floor exhausted for some reason, shifted back into his lion form.

"What happened to you?" I asked slightly amused at the sight of the flat lion lying at my feet from running and exhaustion. 

"Arrows. Flying. Me. Running" he said between breaths and then slowly got up and I saw an arrow in his tail. I walked over to it and pulled it out quickly and healed the wound before he could even feel the pain "huh I didn't even notice that I had one in my tail" he looked at the arrow in confusion. 

"It doesn't matter anymore because we have a battle to go to, but since you to can't fly I am going to run with you on land" I said and shifted into my dragon, and then I remembered Shade, his brother, and our link. I opened it up and tried to find them, but I couldn't see them anywhere near me, so I just decided to talk. 

Hey Shade how are you and have you gotten the others and saved the others from that place I asked

Yes, but I am dying he said  I was struck by one of their claws, and my brother is already dead, and the other dragons are about three days from you I could feel it and I tried to reach across to heal him but something was blocking me from doing anything but talking to him. 

Why can't I heal you I asked I can't lose another family member my mind became a little disconnected from the moment. 

I'm sorry my queen, but I am dying from a Wyvern's claw wound he said and his mind became more distant I'm sorry that I couldn't protect you, but I ask you to remember me and my brother for the rest of your long life 

I will I promise and your death was not in vain I said I will avenge you a tear went down my face as my vision returned from his death cutting the connection of our link, and the absence of his presence in my soul made a hole in my heart. I noticed that Wolfclaw was looking at me in worry, and I looked at him and then wiped the tears away and flying into the air towards the battle leaving them staring at me for a second, and then an arrow went past my head and I knew that this was going to be fun.
