CHAPTER TWENTY FOUR

                    Rory was excited to start streaming again. The past few weeks had been great for her and she was finally in a place where she felt happy. It felt good to be back doing what she loved and as she pressed the go live button, a big smile grew on her face. Rory's starting soon screen popped up and thousands of users began to flood the chat.

     "Hi, chat!" Rory said as she changed screens, ready to start playing once everyone else was. "I've missed you too."

     "Rory!" A familiar voice yelled through her headphones which made her jump. She had joined the discord call but was still muted while she talked to chat. "Unmute!"

     "Sorry! Hi, everyone," Rory replied once she unmuted and joined the game with the code that had been posted in chat. Everyone said hello back, having there own little conversations while the group all got set up.

     "What are you guys drinking?" Rae asked once everyone had joined the lobby.

     "Vodka."

     "Bailey's."

     "Everything," Rory answered with a giggle which made everyone else laugh. She had been to the store the day before to get drinks for the games, but she couldn't decide what to get so she ended up buying a lot of random stuff.

     "Before we start, can I just say thank you to Ash for waking up for this," Rae said and everyone agreed.

     "It's so early," Ash laughed, clearly still half asleep.

     "I technically just woke up too so..." Rory added. It was true, she had just woken up, but it was also one in the afternoon not six in the morning.

     "Oh, yeah. Thank you, Rory," Corpse said with a giggle.

     "You're very welcome, Corpse."

     The first game began and Rory was surprised to see that her and Ash were imposters. She was already slightly tipsy which was why she was following Corpse around the map, talking about random things. Before she could finish telling him another stupid high school story, the first meeting was called after Brooke and Sykkuno had found Seán's body. Rory stayed muted the whole time as she talked to her chat and drank more of her drink. She knew Corpse would back her up and give her an alibi for the round so she wasn't bothered about the conversation.

     "I just blanked for like sixty seconds. I don't know what the fuck is going on," Corpse said which grabbed Rory's attention and she started listening to the conversation again. She unmuted herself to try not to look too suspicious.

"I think we're killing Ash."

"How much did you drink, Corpse?" Sykkuno asked which made Rory laugh.

"Enough," he replied which made Rory laugh again. She really was already wasted.

"Enough? Or are you distracted by reading chat because you're the imposter? Hmm," Rae deduced as the votes came up on screen and almost everyone had voted to skip.

"No, I'm distracted by the fact that Rory has been following me around and telling me stories the entire time," Corpse replied which made Rae burst out laughing. She knew exactly what Rory was like when she was drunk because the stories she was telling Corpse were most likely ones she had told Rae. Rory often had no filter when she was drunk and would just say anything to anyone which wasn't always a good thing.

"Oh, God," Rae sighed. "She's already wasted."

"I am not wasted... yet, but I am getting there," Rory giggled. She could hear Corpse laughing as they all returned to the game. "Now if you'll excuse us, I will finish telling Corpse my story," Rory said as she followed Corpse across the map to the Laboratory. Once they made it into the room Corpse moved to his task and Rory moved beside him.

"Hey, Corpse," Rory whispered into her microphone, her words slurring slightly.

"Yeah?" Corpse replied. Rory could practically hear the smile in his voice which made her bite her lip to stop herself laughing.

"Can I tell you a secret?" she asked. It was quiet for a moment before Corpse answered her.

"Sure."

"It's me, Corpse. I'm the imposter," Rory whispered, covering her mouth after she finished speaking so she wouldn't burst out laughing.

"Oh, God," Corpse said, laughing as Rory watched him run away on her screen. Rory followed after him, laughing hard.

"Stop! I'm not gonna kill you, I promise," she pleaded and he finally stopped moving. The two stood there for a second as a blue figure walked up beside them and Rory pressed the Kill button, killing Toast in front of Corpse and Rae. Rae reported the body and the group returned to the voting screen.

"The imposters and Ash and Rory," Rae announced, proud of herself for figuring it out so soon.

"What? That's impossible. I was with Corpse the whole time," Rory defended. She thought the lights were off at the time anyway so no one should've been able to see her kill Toast.

"You killed right in front of me," Rae laughed.

"What? How did you see? The lights were off!" Rory yelled, knowing it was over for her now as everyone started casting their votes.

"No they weren't."

"Wait, what?" She was sure they were off which was the only reason she killed out in the open like that.

"Rory, how much have you had to drink?" Ludwig asked.

"Fuck," Rory replied which made the others burst out laughing.

"I also know it's Rory as I heard a very interesting conversation between herself and Corpse," Ludwig then said which made Rory and Corpse start giggling.

"What conversation?" Seán asked, intrigued.

"It went along the lines of Hey, Corpse. Can I tell you a secret? I'm the imposter," he told them and they all started laughing. Rory let her head hit the desk in defeat. She really was the worst imposter.

The rest of the game ended pretty quickly as Rae had figured out Ash was the other imposter so it was over soon after. They decide to keep playing for a few more hours and Rory had tried to slow down how much she was drinking as she was already drunk and didn't feel like spending all night in the bathroom throwing up.

The last game had began and Rory decided to follow Corpse around again. She was with him for the majority of the time so she was convinced it wasn't Corpse. The emergency meeting symbol popped up on Rory's screen as everyone started discussing who they thought it was. The group had narrowed it down to only a select few people who could be the imposter which included Corpse.

"It's not Corpse," Rory said confidently. "I only trust Corpse."

"But if it's not you then it has to be him," 5up told her, but Rory knew it wasn't her and she was convinced it wasn't Corpse.

"It's not. It can't be him. I've literally been with him the whole time," Rory told them all. "I am willing to put money on this."

"Woah," 5up laughed.

"Wait, I'll go check."

The group all began laughing as Rory left her desk and exited her room to head to Corpse's. She jogged across the hall and walked into his room to see that he's crying with laughter. He watched her as she looked away from him towards his computer screen. She saw his name in red and her mouth fe open before she immediately burst out laughing. All the others can hear is Rory and Corpse's combined laughter through Corpse's microphone.

Rory eventually goes back to her room and sits back down at her desk.

"Well, is he?" 5up asked already knowing the answer judging by Rory's constant laughter. She can't even speak as she laughs so hard.

"Fuck," she manages to spit out.

"Okay, it's Corpse then."
