CHAPTER FIVE

                    Rory sat on her gaming chair, her legs pulled up to her chest. She had been streaming for almost an hour and she was having the best time. The group were all playing among us and so far, Rory had been the imposter once with Jack. The round didn't go well for Rory as she got voted out straight away after Felix saw her vent, resulting in them losing. Luckily for Rory, she was finally given another chance as the word imposter appeared on her screen.

     Rory let out a little cheer, making sure her mic was muted first, which it was. She grew even more excited when she saw Corpse was also an imposter. "Oh, my God! It's me and Corpse!" Rory exclaimed as the game started. After a few seconds, Corpse had turned off the lights as Rory faked download in Weapons. As everyone ran towards Electrical, Rory took her opportunity to quickly kill Sykkuno as he was the first person she saw. "Sorry Sykkuno!" Rory said as she ran from the body and towards lights.

Lights came back on and Rory decided to stick with Felix and Jack, hoping to get an alibi from them. Before she had a chance to do anything, Charlie reported the body. "Okay, play it cool Rory, play it cool," Rory said, trying to psych herself up.

"No! Sykkuno!" Jack whined at seeing Sykkuno crossed out on the screen. Rory tried to hold in her laughter.

"The body is at the top of weapons," Charlie immediately said.

"Who was the last to lights?" Rae asked, assuming Sykkuno had been killed when the lights went out.

"I think it was Rory," Lily answered, slowly. Rory could feel her heart racing as she tried to come up with an excuse.

"Yeah, I was because I was finishing upload in Admin," Rory replied, trying her best to sound genuine.

"Where did you do download?" Toast asked and Rory could tell he was sus of her straight away.

"In weapons," Rory answered. "As I finished, Sykkuno came in but I went down to Admin so I didn't see what happened," Rory finished, squeezing her eyes close, praying that they bought her story.

"Okay, I say we skip but keep an eye on Rory," Toast said as he voted to skip. Everyone else also voted to skip except for Felix, who voted for Rory. Rory let out a sigh of relief once she muted her mic. This was further than she usually got as an imposter and she was just hoping Corpse could carry the round.

The game began again and Rory went to Navigation to fake tasks. When she walked in, Rae was the only other person there, so she took her opportunity and killed Rae before venting out of there. Rory was sat in the vent as Ken reported Charlie's body.

"Found my boy GreaseBall in Security," Ken said after reporting the body. Rory kept her mic muted for a moment as she looked to her stream.

"Guys, I'm actually shaking. This is so stressful... Fuck!" Rory exclaimed, double checking she was still muted.

"I saw a vent close, but I didn't see anyone in it," Ken added. Rory knew it was Corpse who had killed Charlie as she was in a vent on the other side of the map.

"Ken saw Corpse go into a vent and he's still getting away with it! What?" Rory said, looking to the chat on the screen beside her. Her viewers were all talking about how good Corpse was at being imposter and she was starting to believe them.

"Okay, well I last saw Rae in Navigation and I'm pretty sure Rory was going into Navigation as I left," Toast said, making Rory's head drop.

"Rory, did you kill Rae?" Lily asked as Rory unmuted her mic. Rory opened her mouth to speak, but she didn't know how to answer that. Her silence was enough as everyone started laughing.

"N-no, I left before Rae," Rory stuttered. She knew everyone thought it was her. "It's not me, I swear."

"Aw, I feel bad," Jack said, laughing slightly. "I'm going to skip."

"We skip on seven, so I'll skip too," Lily said, sweetly. Rory's head was in her hands. She had a feeling it was over for her.

A few more people voted, just leaving Rory, Corpse, Ken and Felix to vote. Rory pressed skip vote, expecting to see most people voting for her. "Sometimes you just got to put the dog to sleep," Felix said as he cast his vote on Rory.

"What the fuck..." Lily said in reply to Felix's comment. Rory hadn't realised what he had said at first, but once it registered, her mouth fell open.

"Did you just call me a dog?!" Rory practically shouted into her mic. She knew he was only making a joke and she didn't care. Felix was like an annoying older brother so she just went along with it. Rory could hear Jack laughing in the background.

"What? So Corpse can call you a dog, but I can't? That's kinda sus," Felix said, referring to the comments on Rory's instagram post. Jack and the others knew exactly what he was talking about and erupted into laughter. Rory could even hear Corpse chuckling which only made the smile on her face grow bigger. Her cheeks were flushing red out of embarrassment and she wished she wasn't streaming in that moment.

"Fuck you, Felix. I wish I had voted for you," Rory said just as everyone finished voting. The votes appeared and somehow, Rory had managed to survive the round as most people had skipped except for Felix and Ken who voted for Rory.

Felix laughed as he saw Rory hadn't been ejected. "Ah, come on guys, for fuck sake," Felix said in between his laughs. "You're keeping her alive for no good reason! She's suffering!"

"Fuck off," Rory said through her smile before muting her mic. "Felix is so dead this round. I don't care if they vote me out. He's got to go," Rory laughed as she sabotaged lights.

Rory spent most of her time following Jack in the hopes he would clear her. She wasn't sure where Felix was, but she knew if she saw him it was over. As they wandered around for a bit, the report came up on screen that a body had been found.

Felix had found Ken's body in reactor and he began speaking straight away. "Wait, me, Ken and Lily were together the whole time. We were literally clear gang," Felix said, trying to understand what had happened. Clearly, he hadn't seen Corpse there so Rory knew she'd have an excuse to vote Felix.

"Wait— Felix," Lily said. "I've been sticking with you this entire time because I thought you were innocent..."

"Yikes," Corpse said, laughing as it looked like the vote would come down to either Felix or Lily.

"Are you— are you imposter?" Lily asked, failing to hide her laughter. "Did you kill Ken?"

"H-How dare you?" Felix replied, pretending to be hurt by the accusation. "We walked down together— Oh, my god."

"Toast, where are you?" Corpse asked, which made Rory involuntarily smile. The smile didn't go unnoticed by the viewers on her stream.

"Uh— I was in Admin."

"Okay, Rory, where are you?" Corpse then asked, making Rory's heart flutter.

"I was just about to go into Admin," Rory said, which wasn't actually a lie.

"I was with Rory the whole round. I was actually trying to get her to kill me," Jack laughed, making Rory shake her head.

"I'm not imposter so I can't," Rory replied, cringing at her own words. It must've been obvious by now that she was an imposter, but somehow Corpse was helping to get her through it. She was trying not to get her hopes up, but it was starting to look like she was going to win her first game as imposter.

"I was in middle area, so if Lily and Felix were the only ones there, then it must be one of them," Corpse said. "My suspicion is on Felix."

"I'm down to vote Felix," Rory quickly said, casting her vote on him straight away. Corpse followed by also voting Felix.

"Woah, who are you killing?" Toast asked, noticing Jack had also voted.

"I'm voting Rory," Jack replied. "I tried to get her to kill me, but she didn't."

"Wow, Jack. I trusted you," Rory said, watching everyone else vote.

"I'm sorry," Jack laughed as the votes appeared and Rory was ejected from the game. Corpse was the only other person to vote for Felix, so she hoped no one found that suspicious.

"Come on, Corpse!" Rory cheered, hoping he could finish the round and win it for them. Rory followed Corpse around as a ghost and watched as he killed Lily in Electrical, right in front of Felix so that he could blame him. Somehow, Corpse was able to talk his way out of it and managed to tie the vote.

After an emergency meeting, it seemed as if Jack was starting to believe that Felix was the imposter. Rory quickly sabotaged O2 and cheered as Toast separated from the other three. Corpse killed Jack and immediately reported the body. "It's fucking Felix!" Corpse exclaimed as Felix broke down with laughter.

"Holy shit— are we actually about to win this?" Rory asked, watching the game intently. Corpse and Felix accused each other for a moment before the votes appeared on screen. Corpse had managed to convince Toast to also vote for Felix meaning that Corpse and Rory had won the round.

"No, I'm fucking leaving," Felix said, disconnecting from the game. Rory unmuted her mic cheering at the fact she had finally won as imposter.

"Corpse you are fucking brilliant! Ugh, I could kiss you," Rory blurted out, immediately regretting her choice of words. "Wait—" Rory said as Corpse and the others all started laughing.

"Rory..." Lily gasped as she tried not to laugh like the others were.

"I meant like— I mean because, you know?" Rory rambled. "I should just stop talking."

The group all went quite as the next game began. As the word crewmate appeared on Rory's stream, Rae unmuted her mic. "I ship it."
