"Happy New Year!"

Glasses were clinked together while the atmosphere was filled with joy and excitement. 

The seven members drank the contents of the glass they held in hand and gave each other a big smile as they talked about their new year resolutions and what they would like to do this year.

"Guys, why don't we whisper a small prayer so that our new year goes smoothly and happily." Jimin suggested to which all the members nodded their heads and folded their palms together.

One wished for fame while the other for health. One wished for peace while the other prayed for himself to become a rock in his next life. 

Each member had their own wishes that they wished to be granted, and when it came to Jungkook, this was no different of a case.

Folding his palms together, Jungkook whispered to himself, hoping that his prayer would be answered. "I wish that this new year would bring lots of happiness and joy. I wish for all of us to stay healthy and that we would achieve greater heights together." His mind blanked for a few seconds as he then gave a sigh and continued, "Y/n, I hope you are happy and have moved on. I wish I could see you again but I guess the comet just grants one wish for the chosen person. I wish for you to stay safe and strong."

When all the members finished whispering their small prayers, they hugged each other and exchanged gifts. After that they bid each other a goodbye and parted their ways.

Jungkook, who now stood alone in the empty room, thought of what he could do now, when suddenly the thought struck him of going to the beach he had went with Y/n in the other universe.

Two months had passed by since the switch had taken place, two months since he had returned back to his universe, two months since he had last seen Kim Y/n. He often wondered how she was doing, whether she was happy and content or alone and sad. He wished to see her one more time, he wished to hold her in his arms and hear her voice which was like music to his ears. But whenever he wished to do so, an empty feeling used to make its way in his heart, telling him that this time...his wish would not be granted.

Now, as he strolled beside the sea on the sandy beach and let the fresh air hit him, a giggle was heard which came from behind.

He turned around, only for his eyes to settle on someone who caused a soft smile to form on his face. It was Lee Y/n, blowing bubbles and playing with her friends. She laughed as a bubble landed on her nose and popped right at her face.

"Y/n, parallel lines never cross. But hearts that have crossed will never be apart. I'll always keep my eye on you from afar, ensuring that you are safe and happy...even if it's a different world." He thought as he looked at her for a few seconds and then turned around and walked away.

Slowly walking down the street, Y/n looked around her lush green surroundings with a smile on her face.

The sound of music filled the atmosphere as she looked up to see a big screen fixed to a high-rise building. On that screen, was a video being played. The video of a song, which was performed by Jungkook two months ago with the piano artist Soojin.

After that incident that had taken place in the tunnel, Jongkook had been admitted in the hospital for a few days and after he had fully recovered, he was back in the music industry, releasing songs and holding concerts for his fans.

On the other hand, Namjoon was currently in Brazil, solving another criminal mystery.

Y/n too had gained a lot of attention for her musical talent which caused her to win many awards during the past two months.

And....about Mi Ra, it turns out that after the trial in the court she was diagnosed with a disease related to Celebrity Worship Syndrome which causes a person to become overly obsessed with the personal life of a celebrity. After this news came out, Mi Ra had since been taking medication and treatment.

Her heart felt at peace while a beautiful smile persisted on her face as she heard his soft singing voice.

"I hope you are safe and happy Jungkook. No matter how many days pass by, no matter how many hardships I will face, I'll never forget you. Though I have realized that I need to let you go, I would never forget the beautiful moments we shared together. Moments which are now memories."
