Lisa's POV....
I turned around to see Jennie was about to fall but I caught her quickly.
I was shocked as I saw the knife in her mid section.
Everyone around us gasped as they turned to the scene.
"Jennie" I gasped as I held her in my arms on the ground and she smiled at me.
"Why did you do this?" I asked her painfully.
"I did it because you saved me and it just felt like the right thing to do" She said and I saw her eyes were beginning to close.
"Jennie unnie..." Rosé called out worriedly.
"No, stay with me Jennie Kim! Open your eyes Jennie! You won't go anywhere! Nothing will happen to you! I'll save you" I yelled at her frantically.
I started to panic and I picked her up effortlessly.
Everyone made way for me as I rushed to the car.
Luckily I still remember the way out of this  damn forest.
"Jisoonie open the door please" I told her as we got to my car and she nodded, opening the door quickly and I put Jennie in the back seat.
"Rosé" I called her and she nodded, getting into the back with Jennie immediately and Jisoo unnie and I got into the car.
"We're right behind you guys" Chaeyoung said and I nodded, putting the car in reverse and getting in immediately.
I drive as fast as I could and I felt like time was running out and my breathing was ragged.

Timeskip....
We got to the hospital and I slammed the brakes and got out immediately.
I picked Jennie up and I realised she was barely conscious.
"Lisa..." She breathed.
"Save your energy Jennie, you'll be alright. Just stay with me and don't close your eyes" I told her and she nodded but she was still weak.
I rushed into the hospital with her in my arms.
"Doctor! Doctor!" I shouted and a doctor appeared. "Please admit her, her condition is critical" I told him.
"I'm afraid we can't do that" He said and I was in shock.
"What do you mean you can't do that?! She's in serious need of help! Aren't you a Doctor?!" I shouted at him.
"It's a police case and we can't do anything  without the police here" He said and was about to walk away.
"Hey" I said seriously, giving Jennie to Jisoo unnie.
"Do I look like I give a damn about that to you? You will put on a robe and go into the emergency room with a Jennie and a team of nurses and you will treat her or I promise you that I will have this hospital shut down and I'll sue you" I told him.
"But--"
"YOU WILL DO AS I SAY OR I'LL MAKE YOU SUFFER AND I'LL CANCEL YOUR LICENSE SO YOU NEVER BECOME A DOCTOR AGAIN! Do you when know who i am?!" I asked him angrily as I grabbed his collar.
"Y-yes, of course. You're Lalisa Manoban--  nurse! Get a stretcher! It's an emergency!" He panicked and i let him go.
"One more thing. You will give her the best treatment, call in a specialist if you have to and I want no mistakes" I told him and he nodded then I grabbed Jennie and put her on the stretcher.
"Lisa, thank you" Rosé said, putting a hand on my shoulder and I nodded.
"Don't worry. She'll be okay, just pray" Jisoo said and Rosé nodded, folding her hands in prayer and a nurse brought some documents for me to sign.
"Guys, is Jennie okay?" I heard Chaeyoung's voice.
"She was just admitted" I told her and Mina and they nodded.
"Are you her wife?" She asked and I froze.
"No" I said painfully for some reason.
"She's here because of me" I said as the nurse left with the signed papers and Jisoo unnie placed a hand on my shoulder.
We had to wait outside the operation room.
"Nurse, please get me a medicine kit. I need to treat my friend's wound" I heard Rosé ask a nurse as she and Jisoo sat in the same seat and the nurse nodded.
"I told you not to worry Rosé" Jisoo unnie complained as Rosé was checking her head.
"No, shh. I wasn't able to stop him when he hurt you but I can at least help heal you" Rosé said sadly and the nurse brought the kit.
"Thank you" She said and began cleaning the wound with some things from the kit and Chaeyoung hid behind Mina but she didn't think much of it.
"Ahh" Jisoo unnie winced.
"Sorry. Hold still okay? Sorry" Rosé said and she nodded then wrapped the bandage around her head. "There, it's done. Luckily it wasn't a deep wound but there was so much blood" She said, cleaning some blood around Jisoo unnie's head.
"But it's not yours so it's okay" Unnie said and we turned to her.
"It does matter Jisoo" Rosé insisted.
"For me it doesn't. You're safe and that's fine with me" Jisoo unnie said with a smile and she held Rosé's hands.
Rosé smiled and suddenly hugged Jisoo.
I felt my heart burning as my thoughts became all about Jennie and i began to pace when I saw the Kim family come in.
"Rosé, Jisoo, where's Jennie?" Aunt Jinah asked them as they were the closest and they stood up.
"She... she..." Rosé stammered and Aunt Jinah held Jisoo's arms.
"Jisoo, where is she?" She asked. "And why do you have a bandage around your head? What happened Jisoo?" She asked worriedly again.
"Well, she's in surgery" Jisoo told her sadly.
"What?" The Kim family gasped.
"What happened to our Jennie??" Aunt Jinah asked me, walking up to me as she saw I turned away.
I couldn't answer her as I felt ashamed.
"I ASKED YOU WHAT HAPPENED TO MY DAUGHTER!" She screamed and I looked away with a feeling of guilt and I sniffled.
"She saved me" I said.
"What?" Aunt Jinah asked me in shock.
"Kai was about to stab me from behind but Jennie took the hit for me" I told her and she stepped back, looking at me in horror.
"No, it can't be" She said. "It can't be my Jennie! You're telling lies! Where is my daughter Lalisa Manoban!" She demanded, grabbing my collar and I looked down.
I just couldn't face her.
"Jinah--" Aunt Seungri tried to interfere.
"Stay out of it Seungri! Ask this woman to bring my daughter to me at once, where is she!" She insisted.
"Jinah she's in the surgery room, control yourself" Uncle Jin said.
"She's not in there, she's perfectly fine. You should assist me in asking this woman to bring her out instead" Aunt Jinah asked, throwing her hair back.
She was clearly ready for me tonight.
It's all my fault.
Had I not let Jennie go to the bathroom downstairs it would have been okay.
I should have just locked her in my room.
"Jinah please, this is a hospital" Uncle Mark said to her and she glared at me.
"Please keep it down, we are conducting a surgery" A nurse said and went back inside the surgery before I could ask her.
Aunt Jinah started to sob so I decide to help her stand.
"Stop, don't you dare touch me" She said coldly.
"Aunt--" Rosé called.
"I don't want to hear it. She took the hit for you but you tried your best to make her suffer at your competition" Aunt Jinah said to her. "If anything happens to Jennie Lisa, I will never forgive you and I will consider you my biggest enemy" She told me and I felt even worse.
Aunt Jinah's words didn't hurt me much but it was Jennie.
Aunt Jinah looked so serious with her reddened eyes that my mind was brought back to Jennie.
I disliked her but I don't want her to die-- no, she won't die.
"She can't go" I said to myself. "Who will I argue with?" I said to myself again and Aunt Jinah glared at me like she wanted to kill me so I moved away from her.
A doctor came out.
"Doctor, how is she?" I rushed at him.
"We need blood. Does anyone have the blood group of B?" The doctor asked.
"My blood group is O" I told him bscore anyone could reply.
Rosé was the only that was about to speak but I beat her to it.
"Alright, we'll take you in for testing" The doctor said and a nurse took me to the lab.
They got me tested and said I was in perfect health and said I was good to go.
Then took my blood.
It was painful but I didn't mind it.
I just wanted Jennie to be safe.
They were done and asked me to rest but I refused.
I didn't feel like it even though I was a bit dizzy.
I went back to waiting area which was near the surgery room.
"Lisa, you just donated blood, you need to rest" Jisoo unnie said.
"No, I don't feel like it" I told her.
"But you need rest" She said.
"No. I'll stay here" I told her.
"Thank you Lisa" Rosé said, giving me a hug and I nodded.
Aunt Seungri, Uncle Mark and Uncle Jin looked at me with thankful eyes because Aunt Jinah wouldn't let them come near me and I nodded at them.
It took about half an hour or so and the doctor came out, interuppting the prayer session everyone was having.
"Doctor, how is Jennie? Is she okay?!" I asked him.
"Yes, she is out of danger now" He announced and I felt relieved.
"But we're moving her to the ICU where she'll rest. She's very strong and she was determined to live" The doctor said and I felt at peace.
"That's my Jennie" Aunt Jinah said.
"Only one of you can visit her at a time. She's still still weak from the surgery" The doctor said.
"I'll go" I said before Aunt Jinah or anyone could speak.
"Alright" The docfor said and I followed him eveevenn though Aunt Jinah eyed me.
I was shown to Jennie's room and I opened the door and went in.
I saw that she was sleeping soundly but she was also put on drip.
I walked to her and sat down beside her in the chair that was there.
I looked at her face it had gone pale.
I sighed as I looked at her for a while.
I stretched my hand towards her to move her hair away.
As I did that, her eyes opened and I almost flinched.
"Jennie? You're awake" I said and hugged her.
She hugged me back and I pulled away after a few seconds.
"Sorry" I said, clearing my throat.
"It's okay. How are you doing?" She asked me.
"I'm not injured Jennie" I told her.
"Oh" She said and giggled nervously.
"Why'd you do it?" I asked her.
"Do what?" She asked.
"Jennie" I said.
"Okay. I realised that even though you don't like me that much, you're still a human being and you did come for me. A bottle was even broken over yours and Jisoo's heads and you risked your all to come save me" She said. "And to be honest,  you acted as my protector meanwhile the one who was supposed to keep me safe kidnapped me and tried to take advantage of me, Mina and my sister. But it's okay. He's gone now. For good" She sniffled. "You know what? That moment when you placed the gun on your chest? I felt like I was the one who was held at gunpoint and I was willing to take that bullet for you even though we're not really friends or anything" She told me while playing with her fingers.
I was still sinking in what she said and it was all sincere.
"Don't worry anymore. I'll keep Kai away from you and you don't have to worry. I'll be willing to get hurt to save you because as you said, you're a human and I don't know why but even though I don't really like you, I'm willing to help you when you need it because I'm the only one that is allowed to make your life miserable" I said to her seriously but not so seriously at the end.
"So you'll save me so you can trouble me again?" She asked.
"I'm trying to be nice. Who do you prefer? Me or that Kai?" I asked her and she smiled.
"Honestly I'd prefer non of you" She said.

I thought she'd choose me though

"Pick one. With everything that happened tonight, think" I asked her and she started to think.
The moment she came in and out dance played in my mind and I saw her smile.
"You" She said and I smirked lightly.
I don't smile.
"Good" I told her and she smiled.
I was starting to get dizzy as I sat in the chair.
"Lisa, are you okay?" She asked me as I held my head.
"Yes. I'm fine"
"But why are dizzy?" She asked me.
"Nothing. I think it's a result of exhaustion" I lied.
"Okay, you should rest. Come join me here" She said.
"No" I said.
"Come on. It's the least I can do for you since you saved me and you didn't seem to have a problem with dragging me to the bed on the apartment, remember?" She asked and I felt restless and looked up to see her expecting my answer with a funny face.
"Alright. But only for a while" I told her on getting up.
"Okay" She said and I walked towards the bed, she scooted to the other side, the same side that had her drip and I laid next to her.
I lay, facing the ceiling while she faced me.
Before I knew it, I passed out on the bed.

Jisoo's POV....
It's been a while since Lisa went to see Jennie and she's not back yet.
Even Taehyung and Jungkook were here already.
"I don't think Lisa is still checking on Jennie" I heard Aunt Seungri say to Uncle Mark in a whisper.
"Yes. I think she's doing something else" Uncle Mark whispered back.
"But what?" Uncle Jon joined in on the secret conversation.
"Maybe they're killing eachother" Taehyung chipped in.
"No, my sister wouldn't do that. Maybe they're patching things up" Jungkook said.
"Or maybe they're sleeping" Chaeyoung whispered.
"With each other? This hospital has big beds" Mina said too and and our eyes widened.
"No, maybe they're having a moment, a romantic one" Rosé joined in.
"Yes, that makes sense" Aunt Seungri agreed and Rosé nodded like a saint.
"Or maybe they're having a decent conversation about what happened tonight" I also joined in.
"Lisa also donated blood so maybe she passed out" Chaeyoung suggested.
"Yes, and they're sleeping" Jungkook said.
"Having forgotten about us" Taehyung made a face.
If you're wondering how we're having this secret conversation, it's because we're standing in crooked line which later became us me, Rosé, Chaeyoung, Mina, Taehyung and Jungkook standing behind the elders so we could talk without Aunt Jinah noticing.
"Or maybe they took so long because you're all having a fantastic conversation and don't have the time to go check on them" A voice said.
"Yes, or maybe it's that. What a wonderful suggestion Aunt Jinah" Taehyung said and it clicked.
We all turned around slowly.
"Aunt Jinah?!" He gasped.
She had her arms folded across her chest and she was looking at us grudgingly.
"Are you done?" She asked.
"Yes" Uncle Mark answered meekly.
"We'll if that's the case then you should go check in Lisa so one of us can go in.
"Okay Aunt" I said. "Let's go" I said to her and she nodded, following behind me and Rosé tagged along.
We got to Jennie's room and I perked through the circular glass.
I was surprised as I saw Jennie and Lisa sleeping and Jennie was hugging Lisa with her head on her chest and Lisa had her arms around her.
I gulped at the sight, it was hot though.
But Aunt Jinah won't think the same.
"Jisoo" She called and I turned around, shielding the opening with my body while i blocked the door and I laughed uneasily.
"I think we should let Jennie rest" I said with a nervous chuckle.
"Why? I wanna see" Rosé said and peeled me away from the door.
"Huh!" She gasped as she saw what I saw.
"What happened, are they okay?" Aunt Jinah asked and Rosé also blofled the door with a nervous chuckle.
"Oh yes, they're okay. I think we should come back later, right Jisoo?" She asked, the last part urgently.
"Yes Aunt, let us go and return in some time" I said, guiding her away.
"No. I want to see" She said firmly and I paused.
She went back to the door.
"Rosé, move away" She ordered and Rosé slowly left the door and came to my side.
"Oh my gosh. What do we do Jisoo?"
"I don't know Chaeng. Jennie and Lisa are surely dead today" I said to her.
Aunt Jinah opened the door and she looked shocked.
"What?" She said and we came behind.
She saw!
Rosé gripped my hand.
"What are we gonna do?" She whispered urgently.
"I don't know Chaeng but Aunt Jinah is gonna kill Lisa so we should be ready for a funeral at least" I said and she slapped my arm.

Aunt Jinah's POV....
I opened the door and saw Jennie in Lisa's arms on the bed and I was shocked.

Jennie didn't tell me she was friends with Lisa or that they shared anything....

I snapped out of it and walked towards them.
I took a good look at them then shook Lalisa.
She stirred and when saw me she sat up and got out of the bed but Jennie held her back in her sleep.
She looked at me and I looked at her.
She got out of Jennie's grip and faced me.
"I fell asleep" She told me.
"I can see that" I replied to her.
"I..." She trailed off.
"It's alright Lalisa. Actually, I'm sorry for the way I behaved with you. It's just that, Jennie and Rosé are very dear to me and ever since their parents passed away, I've been their mother and I won't be able to live with myself if anything happened to them" I explained to her.
"It's okay Aunt, I understand" She told me with a nod and I returned it.
"Jennie's asleep now so i think we should leave" I said and she nodded but before I left i ran my hand through Jennie's hair and kissed her forehead.
After doing that I left with Lisa and we met Rosé and Jisoo waiting by the door.
"You can all go home. I'll stay with Jennie" I told them.
"But--" Rosé was about to say something but Jisoo bumped her shoulder gently and they shared a look then Jisoo nodded  and Rosé smiled.
What a perfect understanding they share.
"Okay Aunt, we'll come back in the morning" Rosé said and I nodded then they left with Lisa.

Jisoo's POV....
Everyone had gone back home already and Lisa took Rosé and i home.
But I took my car and went out with Rosé again.
"Where are we going Chu?" She asked me as I didn't go to her house in any way.
I didn't answer but drove to the pharmacy.
I got out of the car and went inside. I bought an ointment and came back into the car with it.
I drove to her house then.
She kept on looking at me but I payed her no attention even though it hurt.
When we reached her house, I stopped the car and she was about to get out but I locked all the doors.
She sat back and waited for me to talk.
"Do you, know why I asked you not to stay at the hospital?" I asked.
"No" She replied.
"I asked you not to stay because you need to rest because of your back and uh.." I sighed and trailed off.
"What's the other reason?" She asked.
"Rosé, you scared me tonight. Most of all, I'm mad at you. Why did you give yourself to Jack like that?" I asked her and she sighed.
"For you Jisoo. I know what I did was wrong but it was either that or you getting killed and if anything were to happen to you I wouldn't be able to live with myself" She said.
"But what about me? You mean alot to me Rosé and i would do anything in the world, anything, just to keep you safe and happy. Even if it is my own life I'll give it Rosé. Just for you" I stressed and she sniffled.
"Really?" She asked, at the verge of tears and I cupped her cheeks.
"I would do anything for you Rosé" I told her and she looked into my eyes.
"Why?" She asked and I realized I also didn't know why.
"I don't know for now Rosé. But I already know you I'll protect you with my life" I told her and she nodded.
"Okay, thanks" She said and I pulled her closer, kissing her forehead.
"Ow" She winced.
"What's wrong?" I asked her.
"My back hurts" She said painfully and I felt hurt.
"Let me see" I sais and removed my jacket from her shoulders and she turned her back to me, moving her hair away and I saw the pink on her skin and I but my lip to stop me from shouting.
I held the tears back as I felt the pain in my heart.
I held myself together and touched the area.
"Ouch" She winced and I retracted my hand.
"I'm sorry" I apologized.
"It's okay" She said and I started applying the ointment.
"It burns Jisoo" She winced and I leaned closer and blew on it.
She calmed down and I continued applying  the ointment while blowing on it and she relaxed.
I was done and I put the cap on the ointment and closed it.
"It's done" I told her and she faced me.

Author: Wow, this brings back memories... weren't you in that position?
Rosé: You did it so don't look at me
Author: It wasn't on purpose okay? It's not my fault I have such a good imagination
Rosé: Oh yes, isn't that why you lost your brain?
Author: I didn't lose my brain. It just couldn't handle all my ideas so it left
Rosé: 😮
Author: What made you think I lost my brain?
Rosé: Oh nothing. Maybe because you're RUINING A CHAESOO MOMENT!

"Thank you" She said and I nodded.
"Jisoo" She called me.
"Yes?"
"Nothing. I'm just lucky to have you in my life" She said with a smile and I did the same, putting my hand on hers.
"No, I'm the lucky one. I know I can't protect you right but I'll make sure to keep you safe with me at all times from now" I told her and she smiled and hugged me.
I smiled and hugged her back as she rested her head on my chest.
"You won't ever leave me right Jisoo?" She asked.
"No. I'll always stay with you Rosé, forever and always" I kissed the top of her head and she hugged me tighter.

"What? And you never thought it was important to tell me? For how long were you gonna hide this from me?!"
"I know what I did was wrong but I had no choice-- I couldn't take it anymore!"
