65: #GTFO of Earth (Part 5)

Where was I?

It was quiet and despite having my eyes closed, I can still feel the eerie atmosphere I was enclosed in. The faint airy sound that moved in a wavy rhythm filled my hearing and I worried that something must have happened to the others.

I opened my eyes and I found myself inside a room lying down on a massive bed. The white ceiling and the numerous pieces of cobalt blue furniture indicated that I was still in Luka-ssu's apartment but the hues of my surroundings were duller and a bit grey. There were round, gentle-looking and scintillating things that resembled a dandelion in the air that gradually descended.

I slipped off of the bed and withdrew my single barrel-shaped handgun from my weapon crate and headed outside of the room from the second floor of their apartment. I was trying to have my system give out a map of this area to see who else was here with me but I can only see glitches.

"Luka-ssu?" I called out. "Is anyone there?"

Ah yes, my communicator. I'll just have to contact someone from Team-Ske.

"Stugox? Where are you?" I asked.

I waited for a response from our leader through the long line of sound that started out gentle but later on it became louder and more offending that I had to turn off my communicator because the sound was piercingly deafening.

"I do not like this at all..." I murmured anxiously.

The door of the room I was in before was hidden by a wall. There were more doors on the panel perpendicular to the room I was once in and I decided to look inside of them one by one however, there was something off about the stairway leading downstairs. I ran towards the glass fence of the second floor and froze in place when I looked down.

"Haa...N-no..." I trailed off in shock.

The bottom half of the stairs were missing because the rest of the building was burnt down to the ground. This part of the apartment was floating in midair and I can vividly see the incinerated city voided of life from below.

This can't be true. Lucifer and Samael were in the Land of Eli and their powers were already withdrawn.

I desperately activated my communicator again and held on to the railing of the fence to hold myself up. My breath hitched from sorrow and I was becoming frantic.

"Hyuk Min! Joe? Ki?! Is anyone there? Someone please answer me! What happened? Why is everything burnt down?" I yelled out.

A buzzing sound occurred in my communicator before it released an intense piercing sound that made me groan in pain and deactivate my communicator once again. I held onto my head and used the fence to support myself up but my knees gave in and I fell not too graciously on the floor.

Where was Team Ske? They were just here. We had a chance. We were almost winning!

We were almost winning...

Ah...

That must be it wasn't it?

I looked at my gun on the floor in between my trembling hands and watched droplets of tears land on it one by one. The soft taps of the droplets opposed the rising pressure in my chest and the heavy puffs of breaths that came out of my lips.

Yes...

No matter how long I stand the result will always be the same.

"I am a failure..." I murmured to myself.

I couldn't save anyone.

I couldn't save them.

"Eomma..." I called out to Ecgtheow and slowly sat on my knees while looking up. A small smile formed on my lips while my tears fell back to my ears. "You gave birth to a failure..." I whispered. The smile on my lips trembled and more tears poured out of my eyes. "I'm sorry..." I murmured before my body racked with sobs.

We lost the fight.

I lost my world.

"I'm sorry!" I shouted hoping that everyone that I couldn't save could hear me.

I can feel all their disappointed eyes staring at me. Gilmos had always reminded me that this fight wasn't mine alone however; how can I believe that when I was the only one alive?

Why was I the only one here?

Wait a minute...

In the midst of my woe I heard a faint crying from the distance that ceased my own sobs. I wiped my tears and picked up my gun that fell with me before setting out to hunt for the source of that cry.

I climbed up on the very highest area of the burnt down building and finally saw of the extent of the destruction—the whole city and probably the whole world. The skies were grey and the buildings were faded with all life in dismay. All of the structures were cremated up to the point of only a few parts and their skeletons that have survived through the fire in show and ashes descended acting like snow and I briefly wondered; was He finally satisfied?

The winds blew out its agony carrying all the cries that I have missed and I spotted a little boy caged at the corner with his knees drawn to his chest. I instantly rushed to his side and my movement caught his attention.

"Elim?" I spoke out in joy.

Luka's child stared at me blankly with his soft lavender eyes and cheek-stained cheeks.

"My name is Aecha and I am a friend of your father," I introduced myself. I grabbed on to the bars of the cage he was in and shook them. I started to pull away two bars in opposite direction, maximizing all of my strength in bending them apart but they wouldn't budge.

"Who put you in here?" I wheezed out as I continued my attempt to bend the bars.

Elim sniffled. "Angel did it," he responded.

I released a breath of exasperation and let go of the stubborn bars. "Why did the angel do this to you?" I calmly asked.

The young boy looked down and hugged his knees closer to his chest. "Because...because I tried to jump," he admitted with guilty eyes.

I set my knees on the ground and held onto the bars again. "You did that on purpose?" I questioned and Elim nodded.

"So that...So that I wouldn't hurt papa. The angel will make me hurt him and I don't want to hurt my papa," Elim spoke and his eyes were brimming with tears once more.

He was trying to end himself to prevent the angel from using his body as to hurt the ones he loved. If this was the case then Elim and the angel were two separate beings.

"Elim-ssu, what happened here? Did the world really end?" I asked and to my delight, the young boy swayed his head in disapproval.

"No mister. You are in my vision of how Earth will be in a few days. How did you get in here?" he asked me.

I remembered now, Asahi-ssu threw me on to Elim and it would seem that I have possessed him.

"A friend tossed me in here," I stated remembering how Asahi-ssu (without any warning) yanked out my soul and did what he pleased with it. "And I am here to help you."

Elim pursed his lips and looked away. "He will get angry if he finds you here. He'll hurt you too..."

Too?

"We'll get you out of here  and then you can be with Luka-ssu and your whole family. Even Lucifer-ssu is waiting for you," I chuckled. Elim's eyes clouded with fear.

"I can't come close with Uncle Lucifer. I don't want to. I'll make him hurt Uncle Keetan!" he agitated.

I gave Elim a smile of reassurance. "Do not worry Elim-ssu; Lucifer Uncle is in a safe place and he won't be controlled by the angel inside of you anymore."

A shed of hope sparkled in his eyes. "Really?" he asked me.

I nodded. "Really-ssu!"

Elim's hopeful face distorted into alarm and he shouted: "Watch out Ssu Uncle!"

I whipped around and caught the tip of the white spear soaring towards me. If I avoided that, Elim will be the one who'll get hurt. My hands burned from the heat produced by the holy spear that continued to possess such power and cravings to pierce through me despite the fact that I already caught it. The spear inched closer between my eyes and my vision caught the movement of the angel that Elim was talking about.

The angel's red wings fluttered down as he landed on the ground before us. His red hair was braided to the back and his silver armor stood out with its radiance.

"You outsiders are desecrators of His words. You are no longer allowed in this world but you cannot return either. Your life ends here," he declared.

I moved the spear above my shoulder and let its spiraling power hit the ground behind me. I blew off the smoke coming out from my mildly wounded palms and rose from the ground.

"You hurt Elim-ssu, you don't deserve a massage; you deserve a message that you'll never forget," I threatened him.

Just when I was able to come up with something mighty, Asahi-ssu was not here to make judgment of it. I pulled the spear of the angel and threw it at him. He grasped his spear at the middle of its shaft and I brought out my amber-colored sword to accompany my gun.

"You challenge God and dare further desecrate His name?" he questioned with an expression of arrogance.

"No, I challenge God-ssu's arrogant servant," I replied and pointed my gun at him.

The angel snorted. "Funny when you were just weeping your heart out for thinking that you let the whole world down when you couldn't save it with your pettiness. What's the sudden change of heart?" he asked me.

It was true, minutes ago I just thought that all hope was lost because the vision of the future fooled me but then this was just a revelation of what was to happen.—it wasn't real yet. I can still stop it.

We can still stop it.

"Reality changed me," I responded and concentrated all my energy in my legs before charging ahead and disappearing from the speed.

I knocked the angel with my body and the both of us fell out of the building. With him trying to recover from the impact, I turned to look behind me and then used his body as a leverage to jump causing his descend to accelerate. I landed back on top of the building and ran towards Elim.

"Elim, how can we remove him from your body?" I asked.

The boy looked at me with expectant eyes. "You-You have to force him to leave or kill him," he responded.

Both options were very thorny.

"Ssu Uncle!" Elim shouted and pointed at the very upset angel gliding towards us.

I didn't hear any explosive impact so he must have flew himself away from such faith. I dodged the spear that he hurled and leaped from the ground as I shot at him. The angel used his arm gauntlet to shield himself from the bullets and his body met with mine.

The both of us rolled on the floor and he got on top of me. He released a direct punch to my face that hurt him because my system's automatic response was to harden my hardware. The angel groaned and I took the opportunity to penetrate my sword through the unprotected part of his thigh before snapping my upper body up and hitting my head against his own. I pushed him off of me and stood watch.

"Leave this body; Elim doesn't need anyone constantly hurting him inside his own mind," I told him. Taking one's life will always be the last option for me. I will try to convince him to leave but with their kind— that will really prove difficult.

In the middle of the angel's agony, he released a chuckle. "You're strong I give you that," he complimented and wobbled his way up.

He yanked the sword off of his thigh and tossed it to the ground before glaring at me. His eyes began to get consumed into darkness which was pretty ironic because I have always thought that they were servants of the light.

Everything was getting mixed up.

"But my God is stronger..."

Dark and elastic energy burst out of his body much like what happened to Elim during their birthday and separated into slithering limbs. The eerie feeling got stronger so I took it upon my discretion to withdraw a bigger gun and a tech-puff that added more manpower. I began to fire at him and my tech-puff did the same. The dark energy covered up the angel while his eyes bore at me amusingly. I backed up to Elim's cage while shooting at the angel and once his eyes were consumed by the darkness, I already got a bad feeling.

"He's going to explode Ssu Uncle!" Elim warned. "You have to get out of here!"

At the brink of the near explosion, my ears caught the sound of the impending rupture and my first extinct was to bend down and extend my arms to my side as I protected Elim from the splashes of toxicity.

Elim grabbed hold of the steel bars while he wept in concern and horror.  I merely gave him a smile of reassurance even when I was feeling this excruciating pain in my back.

"Are you alright?!" he asked me, his voice was raspy from screaming

My  system warned me of the damage done especially to my back. Elim's  red and puffy eyes further pushed out tears and I nodded just to reassure him that everything will be fine but my system stated otherwise.

WARNING WARNING INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL HARDWARE IS HEAVILY DAMAGED!

Ascian fluid oozed out of my lips and dribbled down my chin. Luka's child desperately reached out for me but once his hand touch my chest; I fell back. My body released spasms of uncontrolled electricity with my system trying to desperately recover my hardware. My eyes started to glitch but oddly, I felt nothing.

The angel sauntered towards me with some of his face and body free from the energy due to the release of toxicity. He yanked the spear impaled to the ground and his elastic limbs slithered forward as he walked.

"Don't kill him Barachiel! He didn't do anything wrong!" Elim pleaded.

WARNING WARNING SYSTEM FAILURE!

WARNING WARNING 59% DAMAGE TO SYSTEM SOFTWARE AND 76% SYSTEM HARDWARE!

My eyes widened and I released a huff through the gurgling sounds of my obstructing blood when Barachiel staked his spear through my stomach. He stared down with victorious eyes and grinned.

"I will always be victorious," Barachiel spoke. "Because I am a son of God."

Elim's sobs continued to fill my head and my eyes watched Barachiel's movements intently. I was losing my focus but I can't lose knowing that I haven't finished my mission. My soul may be damaged but the promise I made will never be scarred.

The limbs of Barachiel melted the cage that Elim was in and he lifted the boy by grasping tightly on his neck.

"I have no use for you anymore. Do not worry, your sacrifice will not be forgotten by our Lord," he declared.

My ticker slowly let seething rage enter it and I forced myself to move.

You cannot just judge someone's worth like that.

You cannot just decide what life was needed to sacrifice and declare it as something for a mighty cause.

He was a child of God and so were we.

Configuration of Scion Mode...

We have different Gods and we serve them differently.

Launching birth weapons...

Therefore don't force your own loyalty, your own way, and your own creed.

The tissues in my arms changed into glimmering cube like shapes and began to alter into a long, sharp, and needle-like figure that mimicked the same weapon that I used in the open market. I put the edges of the needles against each other and a radiant circle which resembled Earth formed.

I offer this victory to Earth and its inhabitants.

Commencing Annihilation...

I will use the last of my strength even if the price was my own life.

3...

Kaisen will always be in my ticker.

2...

Team Ske Kaisen be with you!

1...

Luscev...I'm sorry.

I felt an annoying itch in my chest that fucking bothered me for a while now and I'd like to think that it was because of the procedure that my ayah went through but  it was already successful.

My ayah was resting peacefully with two horseshits in the flower womb and here I was pacing back and forth in front of Rui and Buck before I suddenly sneezed out blazing inferno from my two nostrils towards the two of them. Rui immediately covered Buck from the fire and used his own body to absorb the fire.

"Luscev, you aren't in your panic room so don't throw a fit here," Rui reminded me while waving off the smoke from his hardened dragon skin.

"What's his waistline?" Buck joked causing Rui to strangle him with his arm.

I can't take this anymore.

"Guard my ayah, I'll be back," I told them feeling this itch getting itchier.

"Where are you going?" Rui questioned me.

Questions, Questions, QUESTIONS!

"Just...somewhere!" I snapped in annoyance.

I wasn't going to drop by because I was worried; I was just passing by because hell they might be doing some alien shit causing vacuum cleaners to turn against humanity and wipe off all existence.

Let's see what those idiots were up to.
