Also (another also hahaha) This is the theme song that I thought suited Aecha and the whole Paragon book. Please be aware that the Paragon book doesn't only encompass Aecha's world but it involves planet Earth as well where Lucian and our other taboo characters are. 

You'll see them soon hehe. Of course you will. So I hope you guys give this last book of the taboos series a chance. <3

I have never in my entire life experienced flying but falling down to a potential fatal doom?

Yes, I was currently experiencing that.

"Wohoo! Isn't this fun Scion?" Hyuk Min shouted through the vast currents of wind.

Hyuk Min woke me up at around night time where everyone should be asleep for we had an early day tomorrow and it was my first day in the academy as a certified student. All of Team Ske had their pod beds out. Ki was currently trying to wake Won from his very nice slumber however Won didn't seem to be budging.

"Won, come on, Won, it's time to get some training done," Ki stated and shook Won's lanky shoulder.

Won was protected by his thick blanket but his face being exposed to the world gave Ki the chance to spray water to his face which seemed to be very effective in waking the sleepy Won up and in amusing the now laughing Ki.

"Ngh!" Won protested and swathed the blanket over his head.

"Oi Won!" Ki groaned.

"Where are we going?" I asked Hyuk Min who also snickered at the two arguing duo.

"You'll see! Wear your suit and oh, have you installed your weapons yet?" he asked me.

Why would I need weapons? Was there any battle?

I swayed my head left and right and Hyuk Min didn't seem to be upset by that. Bring your injectors for your weapons and you can download them while we have some fun. I can lend you my beginner's weapon kit but...

Hyuk Min's eyes released beams of blue light over my body. "Your level is way too advance for it. I'll ask Joe and the others if they have some handheld weapons which you can use, wait here!" Hyuk Min instructed me and I nodded my head and waited in compliance.

I was genuinely curious of what we were going to do at 9 in the evening. Our training tomorrow was 8 in the morning and our trainer was Gilmos. Being someone who worked under him for a few months, I can assure anybody that Gilmos was not fond of tardiness.

Hyuk Min returned with my suit in his one hand and with a metallic black pentagon-shaped object in his other hand. He told me to remove my shirt and I obeyed immediately. He pressed a button on the pentagon and a metallic tail shot out with its tip shaped as a triangle. He smacked the pentagon right against the spot where my tail bone was and the object bit on my skin causing me to slightly wince from the pain.

"No pain no game," Hyuk Min chuckled.

"What is this?" I asked.

"This is what we call a 'weapon crate' or simply a 'crate'. It holds your weapons and you can use any of them at will. These weapons are made of philote particles which can be conducted by ascian energy so the weapons can dissolve and go back to their programmed forms whenever you want."

Hyuk Min attached the triangle of the pentagon to the middle of my palm with the tail dangling under my arm. Once the triangle bit my skin, the tail bridging the pentagon and the triangle disappeared and sank under my skin which left a black long line mark.

My system started to explore the new device and I viewed the circle of weapons inside the crate in my system.

"The guys gave their spare weapons to you. The Two-Headed Dragon saber is from Hoets, the River Stream Sword is from Stugox, the Meteor Launcher is from Joe, the tech-puff which will help keep your health up and a handgun are from Imsothy and I also gave you my spare Pooch-puff claws. They make a sound of a pooch-puff when you punch something!" he explained to me before leaning over my ear and squeezing my shoulder, "Take care of my pooch-puff claws...They are more important than Ki's life..."

After gearing up for whatever reason, the eight of us leaped  from the fifth floor of the dormitory  down to the 1st floor through the window. We followed Stugox's lead and stealth through the campus in order to not get caught by the patrolling Paragons. We hid from tree to tree and bush to bush and saw that there were two other guards guarding the gates.

"Okay, so what's the plan? Hyuk Min already used himself as a bait last night and ran passed them," Joe said.

So they have been doing this even before I got here.

"Is this illegal?" I asked them.

I had already done something illegal; I did not want to do something illegal again.

"Illegal? Pft, no way," Hyuk Min replied.

"This is what we always do, buffing out you know?" Hoets said. "Although it isn't obvious with Won but he's getting there...barely." Hoets looked at Won and covered his mouth to stop himself from cackling out when he found Won's head rocking back and forth and his eyes trying to survive through the lethargy.

"I got this homeboys," Hyuk Min cheered.

"What do you need?" Stugox asked him.

"I need to cross to the other side. I laid something there behind the bushes," Hyuk Min said.

Stugox scanned the area and gave Hyuk Min the 'go signal.' Hoets woke Won up and gripped his arm in case Won decided to stay and sleep here. Hyuk Min ran to the other side behind the bushes and I caught the glimpse of Imsothy pinching Stugox's arm.

Hyuk Min lightly threw a pouch that was similar to the Moo Moo dung container during the examination earlier. Dipteras came out from the bushes which alerted the guards.

"What the-Ahh!" the guards shrieked when there was another pouch thrown at his face which caused the dipteras to assault him.

"Alright homeboy!" Joe cheered in a low tone. All of us took the opportunity to leap over the wall and sprint away from the gates before the guards could recover.

"Let's go!" Hyuk Min cheered. "Flash them your abs Hoets!" he added. Hoets turned around and zipped down the zipper on his chest to show his sculpted abdomen.

"Like that?!" Hoets asked and all of them laughed while I worried for the health of the guards.

We continued to scurry in a fast pace and I saw the edge of the land area. "We should stop; there will be no more land to step on!" I warned them.

"That's the point! We going down homeboy!" Joe yelled out with Imsothy adding a strange sound to support his cause.

"Yawieee!"

They were merely joking were they not? We weren't really going jump.

"What are you? 12 year old Mocksians?" Ki scoffed.

"I'm too sexy for this activity but it wouldn't hurt to be unsexy for a few minutes," Hoets snickered.

"What are you saying? Sky jumping will double your sexy meter gauge!" Hyuk Min pointed out.

My panic started to rise when I realized that we were not stopping.

"We are going to jump?" I asked them. The realization of them being serious was slowly dawning on me.

"Yes we are!" Hyuk Min replied.

"We are going to jump!" I told myself which made them all chortled.

 This was real. They were serious about harming themselves and I was going along with them.

"He still can't believe it! Let's spell it out for him!" Joe screamed.

"J U M P! J U M P!" Imsothy started with them following suit.

"Spell with us homeboy!" Joe urged me.

My anxiety rose from the various possibilities of dying but Hyuk Min and Hoets grabbed my hand in their warm and confident hold which pushed me to the comfort of expressing my fear through spelling with them.

"J U M P, J U M P!" we spelled out in unison.

The eight of us screamed in excitement and my ticker almost stopped spinning when my feet could no longer feel the ground beneath us.

"Homeboys going down yoooooo!" Joe declared.

My body started tingling from all corners and my eyes caught the various creatures flying and floating all around us. Their bright and gleaming colors which helped the moon illuminate our planet fascinated my eyes.

The feeling was surreal. The excitement rising up my chest caused me to holler with Hyuk Min.

This was amazing. 

This was breathtaking!

"Wohoo! Isn't this fun Scion?"

"Yes, it is! It is fun yet dangerous nonetheless it is fun!" I replied with much enthusiasm in my tone. 

My mind was scattered with the ardor swelling my heart. "Thank you Kaisen!" I shouted with much joy and gratefulness to our creator. I was so happy to be born in this astounding planet.

"Kaisen be with you!" Joe saluted.

"Kaisen is here!" We saluted back and hit our chest with our fist.

I looked at the members of Team Ske and found everyone enjoying our descent. Even the usual stoic Stugox and the usual lethargic Won were smiling and hollering.

Imsothy got to touch a medusozoa (jellyfish) that was as huge as a ten feet boulder. It responded with its tentacles lighting up with electricity. Inias (dolphins) glided above us and one even touched my head with its pointed and long mouth. 

"Eeeehk! Eeeehk!" the dolphin sounded. 

Hyuk Min was supposed to mimic its sound but Ki was quick to clamp his hand over his mouth and glare at him. 

"Don't copy the sound or else those things are going to crowd around us like last time!" 

The inia made another high pitch sound like it was laughing and glided away from us. 

"Aww no! Don't go!" Hyuk Min sulked.

 I rubbed Hyuk Min's back in comfort and felt his disappointment. I also wanted to further interact with inias. I tried interacting with  flying carcharodon carcharias   (Flying Killer Sharks) but they tried to eat me. The poor things must be extremely hungry.

Hyuk Min instructed me to spread my arms and legs and I complied. Our bodies began to descend slowly when the flaps between our armpits and torso and the flap between our thighs help regulate our speed. A school of small fishes flew across us and wind-horses galloped with much grace beside us. Hyuk Min mimicked their neighing.

"We're almost there!" Stugox announced. "Prepare for landing!"

"Eeeeng! Eeeeng!" Imsothy mimicked out what a mechanical gate with security sounded like.

"You're all nutcracks!" Ki snickered.

"And you're the nuts of a crack!" Hyuk Min retorted.

The excitement began to dissipate once we got closer to the ground where there were many trees. We all landed safely except for Won who landed not so graciously on a tree. The branch that caught Won broke away from its trunk and Won crashed on the ground.

"Won!" Hoets laughed out before helping the skinny boy.

Actually, they all laughed before they checked if he was okay or not. My eyes scanned him and my system told me that he didn't attain any major damages, just minor scratches and bruises that were nothing that our bodies can't heal.

"We're here!" Hyuk Min announced.

I looked to where Hyuk Min was facing and found an entrance to what seemed to be a dark tunnel. There was a statement written at the upper framework of the entrance which said "Welcome to Zhekson".

Zhekson was the abandoned city which was closed-off because of extraterrestrials bombing the whole place. 

"This is closed and it is forbidden to enter," I told them.

Hyuk Min scoffed and flapped his hand down. "No it's not! It's completely open to the public."

My eyes scanned the entrance and  spotted a red button which had a squared label plastered above it. I walked towards it and pressed the said button and a holographic image with a voice-over started.

Notice to the Public:

It is now forbidden to enter Zhekson due to possibilities of falling debris, infestation of wild and dangerous animalias and malfunctioning robotics used to wipe out an entire army of any enemy race. Please be warned that any of these can possibly tear you, smash you, electrocute you, burn you, shred you and slice you to death. So please do not attempt to enter without any warrant of entry. Failure to obey is a disobedience to the law of Aecha and shall not be overlooked by the Paragons.

I can already hear Saek's famous word for doing something that was against his will.

"LOW LIFE IS WHAT YOU ARE!"

Hyuk Min blocked the button and grinned widely at me. "Yo-you know, you don't have to come with us if you don't want to. We'll be back before you know it! Just don't tell anyone especially Saek!"

I turned around and looked at Stugox since he was the leader of this group. If they were willing to disobey Aechean law then there must be something important in there.

"What is the reason why you sneak out every night just to go here?" I asked.

Stugox sighed and placed his hand on his hip. "It was Hyuk Min's idea..."

"Hey, don't put the blame on me!" Hyuk Min whined.

"I opposed this idea before but the benefits inside is really insurmountable," Ki reasoned out.

Benefits?

"Please elaborate," I politely asked.

"Um, well we aren't really the best group out there and we are afraid to be left out by the other groups, so since we were desperate-"

"Correction, you were desperate-" Ki smugly said.

"Let me finish!" Hyuk Min protested and sighed. "We decided to secretly train here and you know, get weapons and armor. Zhekson is well-known with its advance weaponry especially the store named "Destruction Destruction."

"Destruction Destruction isn't a real store you know?" Ki opposed.

"It is a real one! I know it!"

I faced the entrance once more and had this eerie feeling within me that something was undeniably vicious waiting for us down there. I looked over to my teammates who were waiting for me and pursed my lips in doubt.

We have gone all the way out here and going back would just waste the time spent venturing towards this place. I cannot just stay out here and wait when I know that they shall experience an insurmountable peril despite the insurmountable benefits that Ki claimed.

"Do you not feel the danger up ahead?" I asked them.

The seven stared at each other as if they were communicating before shrugging.

"Nope."

"Nah."

"Nu uh."

Of course they don't. I must be overreacting to this. I shall ignore my instincts and see what this place had for me.

"Very well, I shall accompany you up ahead. My mouth is sealed."
