"Welcome to Team Ske's pod room!"

I have accomplished the three levels of the entrance examination with much damage to my physical body especially to my legs. I have been aided by Joeheonmae, Stugox, Ki and the other chasers when the advanced beginners ambushed me in the quagmire. After departing from the bog, reaching the finish line wasn't as difficult since I was ahead of all of them but I made sure that I gave Joeheonmae, Stugox, and Ki a big hug of appreciation in which Ki was too bashful to accept.

"He-hey, I get it! You're welcome!" Ki timidly responded while gently peeling me off from his shorter physique.

They have reached the finish line ten minutes later with the other instructors checking my legs. Stugox and another man who had electric blue hair and a bigger built of muscles were dragging the unconscious advanced beginners by their legs. Gilmos and Saek arrived after them and they gave the advance beginners an unwelcoming gaze.

"I guess we will be suggesting five students from the advance beginner level for expulsion and approval of one enrollee for the rookie level to the president," Gilmos chuckled.

Expulsion? Wasn't there any other way to give them discipline?

"They might feel sad," I stated. I did not want them to feel cheerless. They still deserve a massage even when they were inequitable.

Gilmos grunted and crossed his arms. "Oh they will feel 'sad' Scion. Their actions should not be tolerated. It is for the benefit of all students."

"Low-lives are what they are," Saek scoffed.

I stared at the unconscious forms of the advanced beginners and then walked over to them. I bent on my knees and gave the most talkative among them a pat on his mud-covered chest.

"Do not feel sad. I will recommend you to Bish, my employer at the open market. In that way your sadness will be diverted somewhere else. "

Bish was a really generous and great employer. He was also very talented for he became the president of the school without me knowing. They won't have to live jobless.

"He is so nice that it's becoming so annoying..." I heard Saek murmur.

All of the advanced beginners and all of the rookies were gathered in front of the main building of the campus with me standing in front of all of them together with Gilmos, Saek, Trux, Typhi and Dryp. Saek gave the closing remarks in a very friendly manner which was very different from how he acted most of the times.

"I thank everyone who participated in this activity and congratulate you all for a job well done. Although there were students who decided to take it upon themselves the judgment of Scion's merit in becoming a Paragon, there are still some of you who are honest and just and those are and will always be the characteristics of a true Paragon," Saek spoke.

Gilmost stepped up and smiled at Joeheonmae's row where Hyuk Min and the others were standing in as well. "I can't thank the honorable students enough who helped Scion during the ambush." Gilmos gently pushed me forward while he continued speaking.

"As we now go our separate ways I would like to leave the care of Scion to your group Stugox. Take care of him as if the faith of the world is placed on your hands," Gilmos told Stugox who was now staring at him in acceptance of the role.

Gilmos then faced the entire crowd with much power and charisma in his posture and presence alone. "Kaisen be with you!" he hollered.

"Kaisen is here!" they all replied as they hit the middle of their chest with their fist.

Gilmos and the other instructors left me with my new team who had various personalities in which I was slowly starting to learn. I already knew that Hyuk Min was the friendliest among them as he got onto my back after the activity and introduced the team to me.

"Get down from Scion; look at how fragile he looks!" Joeheonmae lightly scolded Hyuk Min.

"Nah, have you see how he leaped from a 50-55 meter range to the 50 meter tall wall? Looks can betray you," Hyuk Min reasoned out and cleared his throat in preparation for his long introduction.

"That guy with the nice arms is Stugox our leader," Hyuk Min said and pointed at the dark-haired and stoic looking member. "Pinch his arms! Come on!" he encouraged me. "Hey Stugox, come closer," he ordered Stugox in which Stugox complied without any hesitation. He raised his arm and I did what Hyuk Min told me to do.

"It is hard and at the same time it feels soft. It is also very thick," I commented.

"See? Imsothy bites his arms a lot," Hyuk Min said.

"His arms are chewy," the one with the big nose who I assumed was Imsothy reasoned out.

"Are we seriously going to do this here?" Ki asked. He was looking around like he was embarrassed of how Hyuk Min was introducing the team to me. He seemed very timid.

"Do not worry Ki, Hyuk Min is doing a very good job with the introduction," I assured him in which Hyuk Min appreciated a lot and brought his tongue out to tease Ki.

"That one is Joe, you can't see his eyes very well but don't worry, they're still there," Hyuk Min said and pointed at Joeheonmae. "He is also the best fighter in our team but don't be fooled, he is the biggest coward out there!"

"That's not true! Don't believe him!" Joe protested before joining the laughter of the whole team.

I cannot bear to see Joe afraid. "Do not worry Joe, I will give you a hug whenever you feel scared," I assured him which only caused the aggravation of their laughter and Joe smiling and hugging me at the same time pinching Hyuk Min's cheek very harshly.

"Ow! Stop it! Okay, the next one is Ki, he's a show-off but at least he's good at cooking," Hyuk Min said.

"That's the only thing good about him, he's evil and a whiner," Joe added which earned him a punch on the shoulder by Ki.

"He hates it when I eat..." Stugox mumbled.

"That's because you eat too much!" Ki reasoned out.

"Shut up! Let me finish!" Hyuk Min whined. "Next is Hoets, he smells good and works out a lot and oh! He smells good," Hyuk Min introduced the buffest member.

"And he smells good," another member who Hyuk Min had yet to introduce repeated again before pinching Hoets' buff arm sleepily.

"And I'm the handsomest Aechean there is," Hoets added before laughing.

"I'm Wonhyu, call me Won," the sleepy looking member and the tallest among all of us introduced before rubbing his eyes and leaning his head against Hoets' shoulder.

"Among all of us, he needs proper nutrition," Hoets laughed and reached to his side to raise Won's lanky arm.

"And a lip reduction," Ki hooted.

Won groaned when Joe attempted to squeeze his chunky lips which brought worry into me. Something might have bitten those lips for it to be swollen like that.

"Last one is Imsothy, he has a big nose and that's all you need to know," Hyuk Min finished which caused all of them to cackle with Ki rubbing Imsothy's back.

The teased fellow did not seem to be affected by it at all even when Ki constantly pinched his nose.

Now that they pointed it out so much, I can tell how big his nose was.

"Is there something wrong with your hardware?" I asked which of course, only aggravated their joy. I was purely concerned with his hardware. Did he need a cream to lessen its size?

Once the introduction was done, we all went to the dormitory. Gilmos said that I did not need to bring anything anymore and that all of the basic necessities like food and clothes were already provided in our shelter. The last advice he told me before the examination started was:

"If you pass and I know you will, lay low and don't show your birth weapons to anybody. I will send a box in your dormitory which will contain all the weapons that you may use."

I have not yet seen my other birth weapons but I shall heed Gilmos's advise because Gillmos knew what was best for me.

Our room was fairly huge. Our beds were installed in the walls and Hyuk Min showed me how it worked. He pressed one of the buttons reserved for that pod bed and a thick yet soft platform mechanically drew out from the wall. I looked inside the pod where the platform came out and saw that there was a purple illumination inside with other buttons to be studied. There was a door which led to the bath area. We were not allowed to consume anything by skin so we were given complete cooking equipment.

"It takes time to download every learning material so the professors let us take home the injectors for home study," Hyuk Min told me. "So I suggest while you sleep, you should download the lessons. Start with the basics," he advised and brought out a small square chip and then began to fumble through my scalp.

"Found it!" he chirped and inserted the injector somewhere which caused my system to read it.

"Thank you, I hope I manage to catch up," I stated.

Gilmos told me that the rookies already downloaded all of the learning materials and were now at the stage of enhancing their strength, agility, and defense as well as upgrading their weapons. Now I have to balance both downloading the learning materials as well as enhancing my battling skills.

The members were staying at the lounge. Stugox and Joe were playing a game. They had their eyes closed as they sent their energy to the RealBox where they were fighting Mocksians in a different realm as shown by the holographic image. Hoets was doing pushups while Imsothy was doing some experiments with chemicals. I learned that he was pretty skilled with creating bombs. Hyuk Min and Won were merely watching Stugox and Joe play.

I went to Ki who was preparing our lunch and noted the nice scent of the food that he was cooking.

"What is that?" I asked. He was slicing a tender looking flesh.

"It's a Flying Carcharodon carcharias (Killer Shark), it taste great when you eat it raw with the cooked seeds of a swamp grass. Do you want to help me?" Ki asked which delighted me so much.

"Yes please," I replied.

Ki was nice to let me help him but he was very much strict with his ways of cooking that when I put too much salt on the chowder, he pinched my buttocks and complained for about ten minutes.

Once lunch was cooked and eaten, the buzzer sounded and Hyuk Min went to get the door.

"It's for you Scion!" Hyuk Min announced. He was carrying a red box with my name indicated on the card.

Ah, those must be from Gilmos.

Hyuk Min helped me open the box and we found about one hundred fifty injectors with their shells labeled with their names. "These are all the lessons and your starter weapons Scion. Good for you!" he chirped and patted my head.

"You better get to downloading then. You missed almost an entire year of this semester," Ki reminded me.

I stared at the box and Hyuk Min rubbed my back. "Aw, don't worry Scion; we all went through the same pain."

"Yeah, it's only fair that you go through it as well," Ki laughed.

I felt heavy hands land on my shoulders and I looked up finding Hoets grinning at me. "We'll be with you through thick and thin. I'll help you build up these arms of yours since I'm losing all hope for Won."

"Imsothy get wreck!" Joe screamed and smashed the leftover cake on the quiet boy's face.

"I was supposed to eat that for later!"Hyuk Min groaned.

I watched as Imsothy's tongue drew out and he licked the most accessible cream on his upper lip. "You can eat it now," Imsothy suggested.

All of the team members crowded around him and Imsothy panicked. "Wait, I was only kidding!"

Won slid his finger down at Imsothy's face and sucked on the cream covered finger, Stugox used a spoon to scoop the cream off his face, Joe and Hyuk Min placed crackers on his face and Ki and Hoets worked hand in hand to drench Imsothy further with the left over cream that we used to make the cake.

After all those activities, the six of them cackled so hard before ditching the now cream covered Imsothy.

I gave him a sympathetic look and went to the cooking area to get something to wipe him with. I returned with some disposable fabrics and gave him one.

"Do you need help?" I asked him. I did not get why they were so mean to him but Imsothy didn't mind at all.

Imsothy took the cracker plastered to his cheek and scooped some cream from his other cheek. "Nah I got this, want some?" he asked and offered the cracker.

I took the cracker from his hold and ate it. I did not have the ticker in me to reject such generous offering. It did taste good.

"They really are the best buddies one can ever hope for. If they don't drench you in cream and abandon you while they laugh their asses off, they aren't true friends."

We cleaned up the mess that we had in the dining area and cleaned ourselves right after that. I did not understand the meaning of being a true confederate but seeing them bully each other yet not minding the damage made to each other made me start to believe that being a true friend was equivalent to making others suffer for the sake of having fun.

I took the box of injectors with me inside the pod bed and searched through the box to decide which one I should begin to download. I was already done with the first injector that Hyuk Min gave me but I was still so far from reality. Once I put in the next injector, I decided to get some rest. I have fallen asleep right after I turned off the lights but my rest was short-lived when I felt the platform I was laying on moving.

I opened my eyes and found Hyuk Min wearing his black expandable training gear which was padded with solid armor on all the joints and vital spots. He was grinning at me widely.

"Want to see something epic?"
