40: CHRONICLES OF ASAHI (PART 3)

Warning: This contains some heavy shitload of emotional trauma that can be triggering. Be warned.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Being a carrier of a detka can be both a nuisance and a benison. I first considered Luscev as a pesky parasite when I first saw the growing flower on my stomach. But despite that belief, I was ready to risk my all in order to protect the parasite leeching every nutrient from my body. Seeing that flower grow on me was the rewarding part but having mixed emotions in which I cannot comprehend well was the nuisance.

Beholding Tetsuro reminded me of myself when I carried Luscev with me since we had the same behavior towards it. In this current setting that I was now in, I was watching something that I must have longed for while I was bearing my son in the core. I never thought much about it now but looking back I always craved for what Tetsuro was experiencing.

I wanted the five to adore Luscev even when he wasn't born yet. I wanted them to experience firsthand his strong and rebellious kicks that woke me up in my deep slumber. I wanted them to talk to him and just praise him for he was a gift that they gave me the honor of nourishing. I wanted Luscev's fathers, my friends, and my whole family to surround him and pamper him with all the love and joy in the world.

"Your Majesty, you are being overprotective of me. I can still do missions. Traitors must be exterminated," Tetsuro deadpanned as he let Asahi rub his face against the large bump on his stomach. The King was kneeling down on the red carpeted floor bearing a blissful expression on his face as he did so.

It was ironic for a King to kneel down to anyone of lower rank than him but if Asahi was able to push down such boundaries with Tetsuro, he must have treated him as an equal and valued him more than his pride as a King.

"You must be joking Tetsuro. I will not let you set foot outside of the castle. You are going to endanger Sachihiro because of your childish dedication towards me," Asahi calmly argued.

"Childish? I am not childish. You are childish. Stupid King..." Tetsuro mumbled causing the King of Ancients to look up in shock.

"Stupid? Is that the effect of being a child bearer? I'm a stupid King to you now?" he asked in amusement. Tetsuro looked away with an evident pout on his usual apathetic face which only led to Asahi snickering further.

"I'll forgive you for now," The King murmured as he rose up and placed a kiss on top of Tetsuro's head and caged his face in between his hands as to make him look at him. "But please listen to me this once. I know you're stubborn but for Sachihiro, won't you listen to me my love?"

Tetsuro's eyes softened at that plea before nodding in agreement. "Alright...But you are still a stupid King, baka-Asahi."

The redhead released a genuine hearty laugh free from any traces of malice which indicated that the King was welcoming of any playful disrespectful remarks without the threat of extreme punishments.

"That I am but that's because I only allowed you to say it and it's because you are my Tetsuro," he murmured lovingly and gazed at Tetsuro with his kind eyes.

The setting shifted once more and revealed a Tetsuro sitting at a garden while rubbing his unborn detka. A tall and muscular redheaded male with weird and thick eyebrows entered. He was wearing a full set of cadmium yellow armor as he drifted his way towards the sitting teal-head. He carried his helmet against his side while glaring at Tetsuro's back with menacing eyes.

But it seemed as though that glare was already natural for his looks.

"Yo Tetsuro, how's that detka rolling? Is he ready to scram?"

Tetsuro released a sigh before saying "He doesn't know how to roll yet Genshi but since you are here, why not teach him your very intellectual words?" the teal suggested in his relaxed yet amused face.

"Heh," the newcomer released before plopping down beside Tetsuro.

He looked down at the lump on Tetsuro's stomach before saying. "Well he's getting there. I can't believe you let the King do this to you. I never saw you as the bearing type."

The smaller male hummed before urging Genshi to bend down and feel Sachihiro. "I heard him say your name Genshi..."

The taller male made a bewildered and surprised expression. "Woah really? Do they really say names even before being born?"

Superb, he must be a whole new level of intelligence. I was pretty much amazed.

Genshi bent down and placed his ear against the bump. "I can't hear anything...What's he saying?" he asked.

After a few minutes of searching and a very slow death from Tetsuro's pitfall of a trick, the teal revealed his true intents. His gaze was blank yet his intention was to make a fool out of Genshi who I perceive was his friend.

"He says: Baka-Genshi Baka-Genshi Baka—"

The redhead hooked his arm over Tetsuro's nape and slammed him against his armor. "Why you little—!"

"Genshi, the King and his bodyguards were attacked on their way back!" a Knight wearing the same protective covering as Genshi shouted causing great alarm on both of them.

"Deodamnatus! (Dammit!)" Genshi cussed. "Stay here Tetsuro, don't move or I swear to Tom-Ak-Ta that I'll break your legs and burn your future!"

Tetsuro grabbed Genshi's arm in persistence. "I'm coming with you," he firmly declared.

The taller male pried Tetsuro's hand off. "It's morning; Shadow Knights like you are vulnerable. You will only be endangering two lives which are important to the King so stay here and let me do my job!" Genshi growled.

"¡Dénse prisa (Hurry up!) The rebels are going to attack the kingdom!" a Knight shouted out the order from within the castle grounds.

Starting that day, the once peaceful and fair rule of King Asahi began to crumble as little insects from the hive of envy began to eat away the sweet canes of hard work for their own beneficial gain.

A troop of Light Knights like Genshi were mobilized because of a report that not only was King Asahi attacked but there was a horde of bandits and rebellious groups coming from the south heading their way to the kingdom.

The bogus report was nothing but a plot to lure out the main defenses of the Kingdom into focusing outside but neglecting the interior aspect of the walls.

The rebels were already living amongst the people; hiding and waiting for the chance to come out to attack the Knights' blind spot.

Tetsuro was assisting the people in the Kingdom to hide while using zephyrs to send the rebels far away when Shiro, his brother, used a child to lead Tetsuro into one of the houses in order to ensnare him.

"Little girl, wait!" Tetsuro called out.

It was the same little girl who Asahi once cradled in his arms before during their strolls in the Kingdom. She was just a toddler back then so it was a great surprise to discover that she was used for such wicked plot.

Once Tetsuro got inside the house that was when he was enmeshed by several Shadow Knights that Shiro was able to trick to join him. He was tied with a special rope that seemed to dry him off of his powers which also prevented him from escaping.

"You're the famous Shadow impregnated by the King aren't you? I've heard so much about you from your brother. It looks like you're really close to the King..." the leader named Severen stated and stood up from the chair he was sitting on at the corner of the room. Half of his face which covered his eyes was hidden behind a mask and there were some healed scars tracing down his lips.

He sauntered towards Tetsuro and knelt down to pat the lump on Tetsuro's stomach malevolently.

Each sounds of pats caused my heartbeat to accelerate and a dire need to help Tetsuro itched my palms to do something to end this twinge in my chest.

But this was only a part of a memory that I cannot undo whatever the result may be which only raised the anxiety I was feeling for Tetsuro's current situation.

"Really close," he emphasized causing the other rebels to laugh with him.

"You cannot drag the King down with these cheap antics. Don't think that the King will spare you after doing this to our Kingdom," Tetsuro bravely spoke out which only watered the amusement of the rebels and lowered the patience of Shiro.

"That's why you're here. You're going to tell us everything you know about him. You can do that for us can't you?" Severen cooed and tipped Tetsuro's chin up.

The teal showed defiance from the way he looked at them despite his weakening state. "You are mere insects beneath all his glory. All of you lost your dignity after your immoral actions," he deadpanned. "I will die first before you force me to betray him."

"That's some dedication you got there..." Severen chuckled before his grin fully disappeared from his lips. "I can think of so many ways to crush that spirit of yours that I just cannot wait anymore," he murmured in a low tone as he zoned out from reality.

"Enough playing around," Shiro interrupted and walked passed Severen to talk to Tetsuro next.

He moved his head left and right showing disappointment and resentment. "You are long gone dear brother and now that monster is growing on you. What has he done to you?"

"I should be the one saying that Shiro. You are long gone and the difference between our statements is: You worth nothing to me anymore," Tetsuro retorted without a hint of hesitation.

Shiro's face twisted into a forced expression as to show sadness and concern for Tetsuro. "It's not too late to do the right thing little brother. Join us. We are the wings of freedom that will fly justice onto a pedestal of righteousness," Shiro tried to convince and spread his arms to refer to the men and women behind him."

"Get struck by lightning on your flight," Tetsuro deadpanned which earned him a hard slap on the face by no other than Shiro while still bearing his smile ready to unveil an even more excruciating chapter to a withering flower.

It all happened too quickly that I wasn't able to prepare myself for the worse thing to happen to any parent such as I. I was there at that very spot years ago and I have been robbed of someone dear to me without even getting to experience his anticipated bloom.

Shiro grabbed the lump on Tetsuro's stomach and made a forceful pulling motion that abruptly earned him a stretch of a spirited form of a being. Tetsuro's jaw trembled as it opened to accept the painful reality that life had presented to him. His eyes widened in denial, anger, and shock which swirled within him and became salty tears from his raging oceanic eyes.

Shiro rose up while still holding the soul of Sachihiro in his hand with bored eyes. A spark of fire started to consume the soul which reflected Tetsuro's eyes.

The closed flower on Tetsuro's stomach began to open behind his clothing to release the lamented newborn. His garments soaked with the fluids of birth and there he was left with a deceased Prince without hearing a single cry.

Shiro twirled around after burning the soul completely. "Do what you want with him. Break him to the point of rejection by the King himself. What a waste of my time."

Severen and the other rebels weren't at all negatively affected as they just grinned and nodded in anticipation.

"Finally, it's time to taste a King's meal right men?" Severen questioned and played with the hem of his pants.

My head began to throb painfully as my heart attempted to numb itself from the series of memories that came to haunt me from my past life.

My knees became weak that they gave up on me causing an unfelt fall on the floor because of the intensity of the pain and trauma that came to greet me and remind me that even before; I was used for people's pleasure. That even before, I was in no one's mercy. That even before, people like them existed.

They have stolen my detka from me even before he got the chance of experiencing his life.

"I'll go first," Severen excitedly announced. "Watch and learn boys."

My eyes locked with Tetsuro's blank, lifeless, uncaring and crushed eyes that kept on tearing up from bereavement.

I know that he wanted to forget everything at that time. He felt anger, great loss and regret. He kept on asking forgiveness for Sachihiro in his mind but he couldn't put it into words because the agony paralyzed him.

I know what he was feeling because I was him.

I closed my eyes to prevent myself from seeing any further. I closed my eyes not to deny any of this but to save my sanity and my dignity from being crushed from a past memory.

Because it was just a past memory now and there was just nothing I could do no matter how much they besmirched my body, mind, heart and soul despite remembering all the faces belonging to those who defaced me that day.

If I could change anything and if I was given a chance to do anything I will kill them.

I will kill them all.

A/N: I didn't do anything too graphic because writing this was also hard on me. Anything related to rape is just...ugh for me. I hate rape.

Also, your comments are really helpful to me. I was gonna make Asahi insane because of the death of Tetsuro but then that's too cliche so I had to find another way. Here were are!

Chronicles of Asahi may extend for another two chapters. I don't wanna rush it since this history will make you know more about Asahi.

The music you heard always helped me write the most emotional parts in the Taboos series especially in Claiming Lucian. So if Claiming Lucian was so painful and brought lots of feels, it's because of that music haha
