Sirius brought her to the Order headquarters but she was feeling quite anxious about the entire ordeal. Remus had already explained her situation to Dumbledore and the rest of the members but she still felt their piercing gazes on her, just because she was betrothed to a death eater.

Most of the witches and wizards there were looking at her in caution, judging her to be some sort of a spy. But then Sirius and Remus had both taken guarantee for her reliability hence they had permitted her in.

"Miss Troy, please be seated," Dumbledore spoke up and she nodded taking a seat next to Sirius.

She was fidgety because even though she was there to help, the constant silent judgement she was receiving from the people there was making her nervous.

"Welcome to the Order of the Phoenix," Dumbledore proceeded with the meeting, his sharp blue eyes scanning the hall before stopping on Eleanor. "Today we have a new member, Miss Eleanor Troy. I trust you all will accept her into our alliance as an equal contributor to our cause."

None of the members objected to that statement but it was clear there would remain a divide between them and her.

But the attention from her was deviated as the door opened and James Potter stumbled in. His spectacles were broken and he looked as if he had stepped right out of a duel.

"Sorry I'm late," he apologized, hurrying over to the only empty seat at the table next to Eleanor. Seeing her there, he paused slightly but then smiled, "hi Ellie."

If she was there at the headquarters that meant Dumbledore had permitted her to come and join the group. There was no way the old man would allow someone on the opposing side to become a member.

"Mister Potter, may we know the reason for delay?"

"I almost got caught up in an explosion. But I'm fine, no damage caused... Peter will not be able to come though, he got hurt."

The two of them had been sent on an Order mission so for them to turn up a bit battered up was quite expected.

With him settling down, the meeting began.

Dumbledore discussed the reason why Eleanor had joined, bringing it to light that she had every reason to be against the dark side due to the massacre of her parents. It was also expected that she had some valuable information on the Dark Lords next line of action so they could use her knowledge to their advantage.

"Now Miss Troy, please tell us what you know so far."

She nodded but her hands were slightly shaking. She looked sideways at Sirius who gave her a reassuring nod and Remus did the same. James had no idea that his two friends had been the ones who had brought her there but seeing that they were on her side, made him automatically support her too.

"My fiance Regulus Black was a Death Eater but he has been missing from the past week. I believe the Dark Lord himself took him because he was slowly starting to see the truth and was trying to stop him," her voice shook too but she willed herself to calm down, "based on what I know through him, the Dark Lord intends to infiltrate the Ministry first and foremost, taking hold of the legal authorities to make it easier for him to take over."

She was taking a huge risk by repeating all she had seen go down in the war before her time travel but stating it as if Regulus had mentioned it to her in passing.

"He never told me much so these are just a few things I can share that he mentioned briefly," she resumed, "by now it is plausible that the Dark Lord already has people helping him from within the ministry. And if that's the case then it will only be a matter of time for us to be struck with war."

There was silence in the hall but her words held merit. The recent decrees that had been passed by the Ministry of Magic seemed quite preposterous under their motive of keeping the wizardkind safe. They were outright declining the onset of war despite knowing there was no way they could avoid it.

That could be possible if the opposing side was controlling the authority itself. There wasn't any proof yet but logically the infiltration seemed a possibility.

"I think it's a possibility we can consider," surprisingly, Kingsley Shacklebolt expressed his opinion in favor of her statement, "I will look further into it."

Eleanor felt grateful that he had remarked in her favor as it worked in diffusing the mistrust the others felt towards her slightly.

Not much was discussed in the meeting after that as the other members would take some time getting used to her presence. But after the meeting was dismissed, Dumbledore told her that he wished to speak to her privately.

She had been expecting that so she followed him while Sirius and Remus were briefing James on how they had met her and why she had come to the Order.

Once they were out of the other members' hearing, Dumbledore told her to take a seat and conjured a goblet of water that he placed before her. He could see that she was very anxious so he needed her to calm down first.

"Miss Troy, please tell me truthfully what you've seen," he spoke up, taking her by alarm as he already knew about the time travel, "I believe you have good reason to come here and if you help us, we will be able to get to Regulus too."

"He will kill him..." Her voice was choked and tears had started to well up in her eyes, "just like he did before."

Dumbledore knew not the extent of her meddling with time but he intended to find out because that was the only way things could be brought back on track. He was well aware that even a tiny ripple in time could change destinies so he needed to know what happened in Eleanor's past before she had turned time, what happened during her time travel and then predict what could happen in the altered future.

"Drink it, please and take a deep breath. We are all going to help you, child, so don't be so worried."

She nodded, taking the glass and drank the water.

After she was feeling considerably better, he spoke up, "Miss Troy, I want you to tell me everything that happened in your past leading you to choose to go back in time and then everything that happened during your time travel. Only then will we able to predict what the future holds for us."

She nodded, mustering up her courage to speak. Recalling it was horrible in itself but telling it to someone else was even harder. Dumbledore knew she would some time so he didn't press further, waiting for her to speak up on her own accord.

At last she began to tell him everything, from the breakout of a wizarding war to it's destruction, then from her reason to go back in time to kill Tom Riddle.

"But when I killed him," her voice faltered at those words, "it threw me in a paradox. And I was forced to relive that time loop over and over again until I had to give in and not kill him... I tried every other means to break the loop but it didn't work... And when I came back to my time, nothing had changed."

Her voice was heavy and she looked as if she would break down any second. So Dumbledore didn't ask her to tell him anything else, instead he refilled her goblet and told her that she should rest.

She did not have any other place to go so he allowed her to stay at the headquarters. Remus Lupin was put in charge of her and that night as she followed him to the room he led her to, her heart was beating fast with all sorts of worrisome thoughts.

For all she knew Regulus could already have been dead by then. And all the tribulation she undertook through that time travel was to no avail.
