They lay together under the blanket for what seem like hours, listening to the wind howl through the cave.

The wind begins to die down.

"Listen." Austin says. "The wind is calming down. Is it over?"

"Probably just the eye." Tim says as he uncovers them so they could get some fresh air. "It won't last long. We need to try to get us something to eat and some water."

"Is it safe to look outside?" Austin asks as he stands up to stretch.

"Uh, No, I wouldn't if I were you."Tim says over his shoulder as he gathers them some fruit. "The storm surge is probably high and pretty scary looking."

Austin hurries over to where Tim was.

"It won't come in, will it?" Austin says, looking at Tim with frightened eyes.

"No." Tim chuckles. "I told you we were safe."

"Sorry, but I'm a little scared, alright?" Austin says as he takes some fruit that was being handed to him by Tim.

"I thought you said you live in Georgia? They have hurricanes there." Tim says as he takes a bite of the fruit.

"I do. But whenever a hurricane was coming, we would board up the house and go further inland to my aunt's house and wait it out. I've never actually experienced one." Austin says.

"This hurricane will hinder the search party looking for you, though." Tim says, not looking at Austin.

"Would that be so bad?" Austin asks, looking at the man sitting beside him.

"For me or for you?" Tim asks, finally looking around meeting Austin's eyes.

"I don't understand." Austin says with furrowed brows.

"Having you here with me would be a prayer answered. But, Hun, you have family that is looking for you. You have a life in Georgia." Tim says as he takes Austin's hand.

"You have family too." Austin says, squeezing Tim's hand gently.

"My family thinks I'm dead. There's no going home for me." Tim says sadly.

"I don't want to leave." Austin says.

"Austin, don't let your family go through the pain that mine did. The pain of burying an empty coffin." Tim says with tears in his eyes.

"If I do get rescued, I will find your mom and let her know her son is alive and well." Austin smiles through his tears.

"Promise?" Tim asks as he quickly wipes away a tear.

"I promise." Austin says as he leans over, kissing Tim softly on the lips.

Tim smiles into the kiss, placing a hand on Austin's cheek and deepens the kiss.

Austin wraps his arms around Tim and slowly begins to lie down bringing Tim with him.

Tim let's go of a soft moan as Austin's tongue enters his mouth.

Breaking the kiss, they stare into each other's eyes. Tim's hand had found its way under Austin's tee shirt and was gently caressing the man's slender body.

Austin ran his hand through the brown eyed man's hair, staring lovingly up at him.

A loud clap of thunder startles them both.

Tim looks around at the entrance of the cave, the sky black with dark threatening clouds.

"Well, I guess that was short lived." Tim mumbles as he begins to stand and reaches down for Austin's hand to help him up. "We need to take cover."

"This sucks." Austin grumbles as they head back over to the blanket.

"At least it's half over." Tim smiles as he secures the blanket around them.

"So you're an optimist?" Austin chuckles as he snuggles up to Tim.

"I have to be to keep from going crazy." Tim answers, wrapping his arms around Austin.

"What do you think would have happened if the storm happened started again?" Austin asks as he drew circles on Tim's chest with his finger.

Tim chuckles softly. "What do you think?"

"Stupid storm." Austin mumbles as he snuggles his face into Tim's neck. "By the way, I love your voice."

"Puberty." Tim answers, closing his eyes.

"For real doe?" Austin giggles.

"For real......doe." Tim mumbles as he drifts off to sleep.

Several hours later, Tim slowly opens his eyes. He listens, the only sound he hears are soft snores coming from the man cuddled closely to his side. No sound of howling winds. It was over.

"Hey, Georgia Boy. Wake up." Tim says softly as he throws the blanket off of them.

"Noooo." Austin whines. "Today is Saturday. We don't have school today." He mumbles.

"What?" Tim laughs as he sits up and looks down at Austin, who was still sleeping soundly.

Tim stands up, stretches and groans as his back pops. He slowly wanders over to the mouth of the cave.

A light warm breeze was all that was left of the storm. Looking up at the night sky, he sees stars beginning to make their way through the broken clouds.

Tim closes his eyes and lets go of a heavy breath. His mind skipping back to what almost happened a few hours ago.

On one hand, he wanted Austin to be rescued so he could go back to his family and live a normal life. But on the other hand, he didn't want Austin to leave. He knew he was falling hard for the Georgia boy and it would break his heart to lose him.

Tim sniffs as he blinks back the tears.

He feels arms suddenly snake around his waist and a soft kiss on his shoulder.

"Hey." Austin says softly as he lays his head on Tim's back.

'Hey." Tim answers as he lays his hands on top of Austin's that were linked around his waist.

"So it's finally over?" Austin asks as he raises his head and places his chin on Tim's shoulder.

"Mhmm." Tim answers, looking up at the now star filled sky. "What are you doing up? You don't have school today." Tim smirks, looking over his shoulder at Austin.

Austin looks at him as if he had two heads. "What?"
