I waited for the lift. It opened but I was stuck when I saw who was in. he was in same situation like me.

"Jimin" 

"Y/n" 

we both said at the same times.

"What are you doing here?" I glanced around to find a lie to tell him. "Visiting someone I know. What about you?" before he can answer a nurse came to us. "Jimin you should go to your sister. Doctor might come to rounds now" he nodded before signalling me to follow him. I followed him quietly and saw him going in to children ward.

"That's my sister" he pointed to a pretty girl who is around nine years old. "She has leukemia" he looked to be in so much pain. "Oppa. You are here" he smiled before going to her bed. I followed him. She was so thin and had dark circles but she was cute. "Oppa who is this?" she asked Jimin pointing a finger to me. I saw Jimin hesitating to answer her so I took seat on her bed. I took her hand in mine and smiled "I am Y/n. Your brother's friend" she looked so happy.

"Really, he never introduces me to his friends" she pouted. "You look pretty. Will I be pretty like you when I grow up?" I pinched her cheeks. "You will be prettier than me and have lot of friends just like your brother" Jimin gave me thanking smile. We may not be on good terms but I know he is happy with what I did.

"Is my brother popular in school?" she whispered hoping Jimin will not hear us. "He is very popular" I told her glancing at Jimin again. He was cleaning the basket near the bed. He might have brought some clothes for her I guess. We talked a bit and I realized that Jimin is very nice when it came to her sister. I was happy and it reminded me of my brother.

"I need to do few check ups on her" a nurse told us to leave for few minutes so that they can take blood samples and run few tests. I bid farewell to Jimin sister and left the room. We both went to waiting area in hospital. Jimin went to bought coffee.

"Here" I thanked taking the coffee from him. He sat beside me looking straight. "What happened?" he know what I am talking about. "Three years back she fainted in school. Doctors confirmed it as cancer. It's already advanced stage. Treatment is hard and she is barely responding now" tears were flowing out of his eyes. I gave him tissue. He looked at me confused. I guess he didn't realize he is crying too.

"Did you try any specialist in states? They have advanced treatments for this" he shook his head. "She is not in the position to travel. It can be risky for her" I sighed. We need someone who can come and treat her here. "So is that why you joined the gang?" he looked at me surprised. "How do you know that?"

I rolled my eyes at his lame question. "Everyone in school talks about it" even Rachel told me about their bad works. "Yes. I need lot of money to continue her treatment. It was easiest way. V and Jhope were my friends. They were in gang when I met them"

"Don't you feel what you are doing is wrong?" I know they won't happy with what they are doing. "Sometimes it's not important what we feel you know. You have to do it for people who love and rely on you" there was something which told me he doesn't hate the idea of helping her with this.

I don't know what came over me but I pulled him in a hug. He freeze in surprise then after a minute he returned the hug and I can say he is trying too hard to not cry. After few minutes I let him go and said "I know we are not friends but you can always count on me for anything" he looked surprised but smiled gladly. "Thank you for everything"

I left the hospital after a while. I realized that they are all doing it out of reasons. Maybe if I find the reasons and help them they might leave the gang. I failed doing that once who knows this time I might succeed. The ringing of my phone got me out of my thoughts. It was my halmoni.

"Yes halmoni"

"Did you go to hospital?" oppa might have called her about the hospital check up.

"Yes. I did halmoni" I opened laptop.

"What did he said" 

"Gave some medication that's it. Did oppa called you?" she sighed on the other side. "He did. Before you ask me why he didn't call you, you should ask him directly" I rolled my eyes. He never answered my calls.

Sometimes I get so sad when he avoids me but he is scared I guess. After the call I decided to check some ideas for projects both art and history. I made a list of places to show V tomorrow so that we can finish this project.

Hyemi did bother me again. I decided to ignore her group since it doesn't matter much to me. Besides I know the fact that we don't like each other in that way. I don't want to get awkward with them if they know what happened. Kai and others became good friends to me. I don't want to ruin that. Jia and minjun never leave single opportunity to tease me about Kai which always angers boys especially Jungkook and V. Jimin didn't speak with me but I can say he doesn't hate me like how did previously. I think we are not friends yet but I am sure we will be one day.

I also noticed another thing since every time Kai topic comes Jungkook and V always get mad. They either make excuse to change topic or get all angry. It is worse when I am with Kai. They glare him so badly. I am scared they might do something to him.

V bailed upon me yesterday so I decided to wait till class ends so that he can't leave today. I saw V walking with Jin and Jimin. "We need to work on project" he ignored me and continued walking. I pulled him back with his bag. He stumbled a bit not expecting this.

"I am not letting you go" he gritted his teeth while clenching his hands. Jimin whispered something in his ear then he grinned again. "Fine. Let's work today" before I can say anything he pulled me by my hand out of school.

I looked back to see confused Jin and a happy Jimin. V slowed down a bit and continued walking with my hand in his. I must say his hand felt so soft and warm. At this point I don't know what I am feeling so I let him hold it for now. I let the things just be the way they are.

He continued his way and I realized he actually took me to my home. He gestured for me to open the door. I sighed before opening door with the key and went inside. Halmoni must be in the  nursery. I was planning to work in library but since V brought me home we can work here besides it won't matter either.

I showed him my room and went back down stairs to get some snacks. I couldn't find anything beside strawberries. I placed them in a bowl and took some juice. When I went upstairs I saw V standing near wall watching all the pictures.

He turned to me when I opened the door and gave me a smile. I went to stand with him and looked at all the pictures. He pointed to one picture asked me who it was. "It is my brother and his friends" I smiled. I pointed to one boy "this is Mark. The one Jia told you about" he nodded his head absently.

He took another photo which was a family photo. I looked at the picture. "It was in Rome two years back. We went to Italy for a trip" I laughed remembering that time. "What happened here?" he asked me.

"My parents told my brother to take care of me while they went to buy cake pastry and he ditched me for a girl. When they came back I was all alone and they got mad. So we put small balloon inside ice cream. When he took the bite of his food balloon burst and cream spread all over his face"

He was laughing so hard clutching his stomach all the while. "Then my dad decided to take the picture of us" we both laughed about ten minutes. It was first time I have seen V laugh genuinely. I smiled looking at him when he was laughing. "You must be so close to your family" he said while placing photo back in its place.

"We did everything together" I grinned looking at the pictures. Hope it was still same. I would do anything for that. "Hey why don't we select Rome as our project?" it is indeed great idea. I know everything about Rome. I went about 4 times. "That's actually great idea" I gave a thumb up impressed by him. "You really are genius" he winked at me "of course I am idiot" I stuck my tongue out teasing him.

We decided to go with Rome. I will explain about it and V will search the photos and arrange it. I got out of most of work since I know a lot. He agreed to do the work. We worked about an hour preparing presentation. If we work like this it will be finished in two days then we need to write individual essay. Project is in dew for Monday which leaves four days for us.

"I am hungry" he let out an animal sound while I looked at him like he is crazy. "We have to cook on our own. Seems like halmoni will be late" he nodded before closing laptop and placing stack of papers on the table. He gave me his hand right hand and signalled me to take it. I placed my hand in his and he pulled me up.

We both went downstairs and checked the fridge for ingredients. I used to cook when mom and dad were busy with work. My brother is hopeless when it comes to kitchen. He can't even boil water. "I think we can make japchae. We have noodles, meat and spinach" I closed the fridge and looked at V hoping he would be ok with that.

He grinned at me "that's my favourite" I placed all the ingredients out of fridge on counter. I gave meat and knife to V. He looked at me confusingly. "You have to help me. I can't do everything alone" he rolled his eyes before taking knife from me and started cutting. I put water on stove for noodles. I cut the vegetables while V struggled with meat.

He kept eating whenever I am not seeing. When I look he would give me cheeky smiles. "How did you cook last time when you came to my house?" I mean his dish was so good last time and now he is struggling with cutting meat. He scratched his back nervously "halmoni cut everything and I just cooked. That is the only thing I can cook" I huffed in annoyance and pulled him out of the kitchen.

I pointed to a stool and made him sit. "Sit till I am done with cocking" he nodded innocently. He looked so cute like a puppy. I shook my head and went to cook for us. He managed cut the meat so I boiled the noodles and prepared the mix. It took me about twenty minutes. All the while V was watching me with his hands placed under his chin. Once I am done mixing I took some and pointed to V. He came to me ate while giving me a thumbs up.

I placed it on the table with two plates with some drinks. He ran around like a little kid while asking me to do it fast. If he behaves like this all the time I think we could be best friends. I shook my head as he continued to eat.
