Beware of the half truth . You may have gotten hold of wrong half

Y/N:

As I opened door "mom what took you so lon..." V stopped mid sentence when he saw it was me who opened the door. From his expression I know he is shocked to see me here.

"Who is it Y/n?" I heard aunt voice from kitchen "it is Taehyung aunt" I shouted back looking at him. He stood frozen at the door. "Aren't you going to come in V" I asked him. Still in a daze state he entered.

"Oh so you still call him as V not as Taehyung" his mom commented coming out of kitchen. "Why are you looking like that Taehyung? don't you remember she is one who gave you this nickname" I looked at her surprised at this flash news.

"You are the one who named me V?" he asked not believing her mom words. "I don't remember either" I replied back to him. "What happened to your face son?" she asked him when she noticed marks on his face.

"Mom it's a small scratch" he whined like baby. It is the first time seeing him act adorable. "Tell me where is first aid box" I asked her when I saw her hands are coated in bated mix. "It is in the bathroom near stairs. Right top cabinet" I went in the direction she has told me and brought the first aid kit. I was helping Taehyung in cleaning the wound when he grabbed it from me.

"I can manage on my own. No need for you to babysit me" I didn't said anything since I am not comfortable with helping him either. He tried applying it but put it on wrong place. "Just let me help you. Don't be stubborn" I sighed before taking kit from him. I didn't let him talk as I cleaned his wound. I ignored his stare and quickly helped him.

He went to his room and I went back to kitchen to finish preparing rice balls after helping him. Suddenly I remembered something "does he know the reason of me coming here?" I asked her worried. "He doesn't know about your past. Don't worry I won't say anything to him if you don't want to" I smiled at her gladly. "But you should not keep secrets between friends it makes misunderstandings and creates lot of problems" she warned me gently.

I nodded my head thinking about it but I am not ready to tell Jungkook or others. I don't want to risk their safety and I know they will be in danger too if they know about me. As the dinner was prepared I placed the dishes on the dining table. When Taehyung saw me alone he came towards me "what are you doing in my house and why are you wearing my mom apron" he glared at me.

"Because she gave me and I came to deliver flowers but she insisted for me to stay" I replied to calmly. "Let me look at your face" before he can say something his mom came and told him to show his face. "How did you get these?" she asked him. "Boys like us have small fights. Don't mind it I have it under control" he took a rice ball to eat.

"Is it true Y/n?" she asked me to confirm since I go to same school. "um..... I don't know. I wasn't with him at that time" I told her but Taehyung looked at me in disbelief. "Mom how do you know her?" he asked to divert conversation. "So you really forgot her. She is my best friend daughter and you both played with each other when you were young" she smiled happily.

"She was too young and couldn't pronounce your name" his mom was telling us about our childhood. "You always used to pose for photos with that V sign so she stated calling you V" she chuckled looking at us. "You always used to stay you will marry her when you get older" I choked on air hearing her. She might of realized we are not comfortable so she changed the topic. 

"I packed some food for your grandmother. Give it to her when you go back" I nodded taking the box from her. "Taehyung drop her at home" my head snapped towards her. "I can go on my own" she shook her head at me. "It is dangerous for you to go alone" she continued. "You are new to this town too" she looked at him and sternly told him. "Go and drop her" he sighed nodding his head at her. "Let's go" I nodded my head and followed him out.

To my surprise the ride went well. I kept quiet most of the time not wanting to make him mad.

JIMIN

"You seem so happy. Did something happen?" we were all sitting at our hangout place. Hoseok and Jin were with their girlfriends. V had to run an errand for his mom. I was waiting for all of them to come. "I am going out with Y/n tomorrow" he grinned at me.

"As a date?" he took seat next to me on the sofa and shrugged. I don't trust that girl with Jungkook. She doesn't seem innocent at all. I mean something is off about her behavior. But watching Jungkook happy makes me happy. I hope she is serious about him.

"What you two talking about?" V joined us before grabbing a coke from small fridge which we mostly stuff with drinks. He tossed one to me before opening his can. "Jungkook got a date with Y/n" He raised his eyebrow while Jungkook who got a bit shy at word date.

"Good luck on your date" he punched his arm before giving me a look. I know exactly what he meant. "I will be going to meet boss tomorrow" I threw the empty can in the trash bin before joining their conversation. "Boss need to pass some information about our previous gang. It is not a deal. So I will go alone and get that"

Soon others joined and Jungkook was busy talking to others. "Keep an eye on them tomorrow" I nodded at him. "I will. Don't worry V"

*next day*

I quietly followed Jungkook and Y/n keeping enough distance next day. They didn't notice me. She kept smiling about every single thing he says. I kind of got annoyed after a while. He picked her up in the morning at her house and they came to park. It is the same one where we hang out every week.

I walked a bit close so that I can listen to their voice. "You told me you like skateboarding right?" she smiled again while nodding her head. "Do you want to try?" he offered her his board to her. She thought about it before taking it.

"Just hold your hands like this and balance" he showed her while holding her hands. I felt so annoyed how he was helping her. She fell within two minutes. She is so dumb. She can't even understand what he is teaching her.

"I can't do it" she pouted while sitting on the ground like a kid. Jungkook ruffled her hair before pulling her up. "You will and I am helping you" he dragged her to field again. I sat on the bench pulling my mask up. There were group of boys playing so Jungkook can't see me from there. I can hear them though.

After a while she actually made it work. She was skating on her own. Jungkook also joined her since she learned. Watching them made me want to skate too. I mean I am stuck here stalking them on my day off where I should be enjoying myself. I sighed I saw them leaving from there.

They both were talking and laughing. I guess they are going to café. I was little mad as Jungkook is sharing all of our hang out spots with her.

"What can I do for you?" a girl asked them. I sat in next booth to them. The pillar was covering me from their view so they can't see me.

"Coke and macaroni pizza" he looked at her as he gave his order. I rolled my eyes guessing her order. All the girls order salads like they mention they want to be healthy.

"I will have cheese burger and water" I smiled after hearing her order. Not the same order like others huh. She went in and came back with their order. I decided to order for myself as I didn't eat from morning. When she took my order I winked at her and she blushed.

"Don't you like pizza?" I raised my head to see Jungkook looking at her. "I do?" it came more as a question. "You know I should give you a nickname." I raised an eyebrow "and why is that?" "I want a special name for you." he thought for a while.

"Muffin that sounds good" I made a face though I can't see Y/n clearly I can imagine her look. Jungkook is stupid sometimes. Comparing a girl with food. "What?" "You are my muffin" he said singing. I rolled my eyes at his stupidity. She just shook her head and continued eating.

"I come here often with guys" he was telling her about hang outs and the stories. I was just listening to him. I decided to message him since it is getting too boring watching them. I told him I will come to his house to hang out and I have something to tell him. He said he is coming home in 15 minutes.

I ring his doorbell and waited for him to open. Jungkook grinned when he saw me. I decided to join them in his house. I can make her talk and find out what she think of him. When we entered the house I saw her sitting on the sofa playing on her phone. She smiled a bit when she saw me. She didn't look happy though.

I guess she doesn't like me either. Who cares feelings are mutual girl. I sat opposite her and looked at her. "Do you guys want something?" Jungkook asked while going to the kitchen. "Give me some water" I shouted so that he can hear me. Y/n was silent while just looking at her phone smiling and frowning at the messages she got. It seems like she chatting with someone.

"How was your day?" she jumped a bit in surprise hearing my voice. She must have zoned out. "Good" suddenly her phone started ringing. Her face instantly brightened seeing the caller id. She excused herself before going into hallway. I followed her and stood near the wall so that I can hear her.

"I miss you" she was nodding her head. "How could you not tell me about it" what is she talking about. "No I am at friend house" she sighed. "He is not my boyfriend" she giggled this time. "I will call you later when I am free" she gave simple yes and no answers and I can't hear other person. "I love you too" she hung up the phone after that.

I ran and sat on the sofa like nothing happened. She came in to room smiling. Jungkook gave me water before switching on a movie. I am sure she was talking to a boy. She even said love you and called Jungkook friend. She clearly mentioned he is not her boyfriend. This means she is playing with Jungkook feelings.
