four.

"Zach! Open the door man I got something to tell you." Adam March stood knocking on Zachs door, his fist bearing rapidly against it. He held a folder in his hand and a crazed look in his eyes, the boy only running on about 2 hours of sleep. It was a known fact to Zach that Adam had developed an unhealthy obsession with Rafe. It kept him up at night.

When the door pulled open Adam was quick to walk inside, Zach using his crutches to move back towards his desk.

"Sorry I didn't answer your call earlier. I was at the doctor." Zach said, sitting in his chair with a sigh of relief. Adam held off telling Zach the information before asking him about the appointment first.

"Oh how did that go? What did the doctor say?"

"It went well. They uh...took my chair back so now I'm all crutch. And I've got physical therapy 3 times a week now instead of 4. She said I'm getting better." Zach revealed, Adam feeling a pang of guilt in his chest that he had to go through this anyways. Adam blamed himself mostly for dragging Zach into his scheme with Rafe, knowing that if he would've just left it alone, Zach would be fine and walking around. "What uh...what did you have to tell me?"

"Uh yeah well—the private investigator found something." Zach perked up at this, scooting forwards in his chair slightly and furrowing his eyebrows as a sign for him to continue. Instead Adam handed him the folder, the boy quickly opening it.

Inside was a ship manifest, names written on it of who would be in the ship, what it was supposedly carrying, things like that.

"What is this?"

"It's a ship manifest. But—at the top it's...look at the names." Zach looked at the names, not recognizing any of them at first, but then seeing one peculiar name on it.

Cameron- 5.

"Holy shit. So they left on this boat?"

"They left on that boat. But look—look at the bottom." Adam said, Zachs eyes instantly dropping to the bottom. He pulled the paper closer as he saw the words at the bottom of the manifest, his teeth gritting as he read it. It was an assumption, but it was incredibly clear what Adam was suggesting.

One unlogged passenger.

"June." Zachs fingers ran over the words and he looked up at Adam, shocked that what they had assumed was true.

"That motherfucker kidnapped her. I knew it. This was just the proof we needed." Zach looked back down at the paper but something else was plaguing him, his heartbeat pounding as he looked back at the words above.

Cameron-5.

"5. Cameron 5?" Zach thought about it, recounting the members of that family over and over again. But Ward was dead, there should only be 4.

"One unlogged passenger." Adam reiterated while Zach out together a different puzzle. His eyes dropped to the page again and he read through it completely, Adam picking up that something was going on now.

"Cameron 5 doesn't make sense. Ward is dead." Zach said, looking up at Adam.

"Maybe it was before he died."

"No it was published after." Zach said, silence flooding the room as they both searched their brains for what this could mean. A dead man couldn't be on a boat could he? "This isn't the whole log...passengers have to sign it. We have to find the rest of it."

"Yeah...let's find the rest of it."

:::

"Jesus Christ did you get it?!" JJ Maybank shouted from where he was standing, his shoulders aching as June pressed against the side of his head for extra height. She was seated on his shoulders, the two of them trying to get a coconut off of a tree. He had anticipated having stronger shoulders than he actually did.

"Well if you would stop moving around I could grab it dipshit!" She said back, the boy grumbling her words back to her and then  pinching her leg. She yelled out, her hand hitting the coconut and sending it flying to the ground in front of them. He yelled in relief as he helped her to the ground, the girl not wasting any chance she had to make it uncomfortable for him. When she got to her feet she pushed him back, flipping him off and rubbing at her thigh. "You're such a bitch for that."

"A bitch? What am I, your girlfriend?" He looked slightly offended, the boy wiping his face off with his shirt to get the sweat off. "If you're gonna insult me at least do it like I'm a man."

She pursed her lips at him, holding in a laugh as he kept a straight face. Before she could think of an appropriate response, the two of them were approached by John B, the boy dropping his hands onto both of their shoulders and looking between them.

"What are you two fighting about?"

"Your mom." June was quick with it, watching his face fall instantly at her reply. She put on faux remorse as JJ shook his head at her, the girl quickly adding to what she said. "I'm sorry, that was uncalled for I shouldn't have brought Deborah into this."

"My moms name isn't Deborah." John B said, June shrugging her shoulders and speaking again.

"Really? She had me call her Deborah last night when I was doing her."

"God okay—ew. What's wrong with you?" John B said, his face scrunched up in disbelief at what he had just witnessed.

"Please don't ever talk again." JJ added, looking at John B and earning a nod from the boy. She laughed slightly, shaking her head at both of them and then speaking.

"So it's funny when you guys do your mom jokes but when I do it..."

"It's all about the delivery baby. That was not good at all. Probably the worst thing I've ever heard come out of your mouth, actually." JJ pushed his arm over Junes shoulder as she mumbled under her breath, the boys falling into stride beside each other as John B held the coconut they had harvested. The trip back to the beach was just the boys making fun of June,  laughing about her terrible joke, and talking about her mother.

"Uh oh...looks like somebody's angry. What did you do this time John B?" Cleo was the one who approached them first, turning away from what she was doing with Pope and approaching them with her arms crossed over her chest. She was looking at June, the girl breaking out of JJs grip and walking over to Cleo. She stood beside her, letting the other girl scold John B as she gave JJ a knowing smile, inching just a tiny bit closer to Cleo to tease him.

"I didn't even do anything. She just told the worst your mom joke in history. I have to make fun of her for it...it's literally the rules."

"A your mom joke? Really?" Tyler approached from behind them, June turning her head and giving him a smile as he joined the conversation.

"Really. Absolute trash." JJ chimed in, nodding along to what John B had said.

"Who's trash?" Kie was the next one to enter the conversation, Sarah approaching as Cleo spoke.

"June apparently."

"Not true...if anybody's trash it's JJ. I don't know what she did but it was his fault." Pope said as he approached, everyone now in the conversation.

"Hey you cant blame me for how she acts!"

"Actually we can because she spends 99% of her time at your side." Tyler added, looking rather irritated by the fact he had just shared.

"Other people rub off on you. It's true." Sarah said, shrugging her shoulders and nodding to get her point across. "It probably was JJs fault."

"Whose side are you on?" JJ asked, gesturing towards Sarah who had her arms crossed over her chest. She shrugged again as she answered.

"Junes always."

"Exactly. Thank you Sarah. This is a true friend." June said, nodding at the girl and earning one back. John B and JJ were just looking at them with scrunched up faces, both of them defeated in the argument about her terrible jokes.

"Hey Tyler..." June started, an idea in her head as she looked at the boy standing by her.

"What?"

She stood there for a moment, fighting the smile on her lips as she prepped to run. Finally she launched forwards, hitting him on the arm and then shouting.

"You're it!" She took off, all the other following suit as Tyler groaned. June ran as fast as she could, laughing as she did so. She looked over her shoulder, noticing that Tyler was chasing her. Not only was he chasing her, he was definitely faster than her, his legs working overtime to catch up to her. He managed to catch her, pulling the girl back by her shoulder as she laughed out loud.

"I caught you." They stopped running, June catching her breath with a wide smile on her face. Tyler looked at her as she laughed, his heart warming at the sight of her having fun. He laughed a little too, thinking it was funny that she thought she could outrun him. He became entranced by her for a moment, loving the look of happiness in her eyes as she stepped towards him. However he was soon holding a frown as she pay his shoulder, taking off in the opposite direction and yelling to him that he was still it.

"Shit."
