A yoga instructor, like so many others from various professions before him, told me I shouldn't hunch my shoulders.

That my foetal origin is shameful.
That I should sit as if someone has tied a rope to my spine
Pulling it taunt
As if making a puppet out of me –
Straight,
Silly,
Submissive,
Shackled.
