Tabitha was standing at her locker and jumped, startled when there was a thud against the locker beside her. "Mae, you almost gave me a heart attack. Again." Tabitha said, putting a hand over her heart. She closed her locker slightly to look at her best friend who leaned against the locker that's on the right side of hers.

Maeve apologetically smiles at her. "Sorry. But I just over heard that EJ is making his cousin steal Nini's phone during practice because he thinks that Ricky is trying to break him and Nini up."

Tabitha's eyes widens. She didn't think EJ was someone who did that. "Wow. Um, thanks for the head's up I guess?"

"I'm just saying that you should watch out before you decide you're in love with him." Maeve shrugs her shoulders, holding onto the straps of her navy colored backpack. "He might be like what Taylor Swift sings."

"I don't think he's a nightmare dressed like a daydream, Mae." Tabitha rolled her eyes, opening her locker all the way to put the books she didn't need away and then closed it. "You're just being protective and dramatic."

"Of course I am! That's what I do." Maeve exclaims, getting off the locker as she watched her best friend walk down the hallway. "Just be careful, please. I don't want you to get hurt!"

At practice Tabitha is sat on one of the chairs, drawing away on her sketch book since Miss Jenn had told her to start coming up with ideas for sets.

Tabitha looks up when Carlos spoke. "Okay, people. Let's take it from 3 counts of 8 right before Troy and Gabriella's entrance for the bows."

Tabitha furrows her eyebrows, not understanding why they were practicing the curtain call first. Everyone got into place and one Seb started playing piano, they started dancing. Then Nini and Ricky begin to walk down, doing their dance routine. Nini was doing great and Ricky was messing up. Tabitha tilted her head to the side with concern and confusion when the music suddenly stopped.

Ricky apologizes but Nini just looks annoyed. "What is he doing?"

Ricky looks at her with confusion. "Why're you talking to him? I'm right here."

Nini shakes her head. "'Cause you're not here. At least not for the right reasons."

Tabitha's eyes grew wide, sharing a concerned look with Ashlyn before looking back at the ex-couple who were fighting. "What's that supposed to mean?" Ricky questioned.

"You hate musicals. You're doing this so we're in each other's grills." Nini answered as Carlos steps towards them. "Back to the dance, please!"

"Now you're rubbing some weird cologne on your neck." Nini furrowed her eyebrows, walking off to the side.

Ricky follows her. "Hey, you love Throb!"

"And wasting everyone's time by making fun of something that the rest of us take seriously!" Nini exclaimed.

"Okay, that's a five! Take a break, people! Everybody out! Get out!" Carlos shouted.

Everyone left and went off their separate ways until the beak was over. Tabitha went to a quiet part of the hallway and face-timed Maeve to keep her updated on what happened.

"Wait, so Ricky's not gonna be in the play anymore?" Maeve looked at her with wide eyes while she painted Tabitha's fingernails.

Tabitha shrugs. "I mean, that's what I got from the fight. I don't understand why the fight happened, but I got done designing one of the sets for the school part of the play."

Maeve smiles. "That's great, Tabi. So, how are you and EJ? Anything new happen between my favorite ship?"

Rolling her eyes, Tabitha laughs a bit. "Nothing is happening between us." Her eyes grew wide and her heartbeat increases when she noticed EJ walking down the hallway. "I gotta go."

Maeve furrows her eyebrows. "Why? What's wrong? You better not hang up on me-" The last thing Tabitha saw was Maeve glaring at her before she quickly hung up the call and put up her phone when EJ walked over to her.

"Hey, you okay?" Tabitha asked him, noticing he looked upset.

EJ forces a smile. "Yeah, I'm fine. Don't worry about me, Tabitha."

Her lips curve downward and Tabitha was about to say something when Carlos told everyone the break was over.

Once everyone made their way back into the bomb shelter where they were having practice they saw Miss Jenn opening up a box. Tabitha chuckled when Seb asked if the old phone was a garage door opener. Miss Jenn couldn't believe he thought it was a garage door opener and told the students how she got the original phone that was in the first High School Musical movie Vanessa Hudgens used.

"I plan on creating a time-capsule in our lobby." Miss Jenn explains. "If they have 40 sports-ball trophies, we deserve a little museum."

Tabitha smiles at hearing that, but then tilts her head to the side and raises her eyebrows when she notices Gina taking what looked like Nini's phone out of her backpack and puts it in EJ's. Tabitha quickly looked back at Miss Jenn when Gina looked in her direction as if she felt her staring. It didn't make any sense to her.

Why did Gina put Nini's phone in EJ's backpack? And does EJ know Gina did that?

With curious eyes, she watches as EJ mouths to Ashlyn 'thank you' as if he thought Ashlyn was the one who did that. Then Gina brings up that it was her who put Nini's phone in his backup. Tabitha didn't hear their entire conversation since she's on the other side of the room, but whatever it was it couldn't have been about anything good.

-ˏˋ Standing in the hallway by the bomb shelter, Tabitha states at the camera with wide eyes. "I can't believe that Maeve was right. Should I do something?" She sighs, shaking her head. "I don't know what to do. All I know is that I just signed up to help out with the play. I didn't sign up for drama."ˎˊ-
