The drama club members had to relocate to this creepy theater most of them thought were haunted because of a fire in the auditorium. Some people got close during that time and Miss Jenn had a dream sequence none of the kids knew about. But now they decided to put on the show in the gym of the school and it was currently opening night.

Tabitha was nervous and she wasn't even doing anything. Her mom and dad are coming to see the show and she had a feeling they will want to meet EJ after the show so maybe that's why she's nervous. She and EJ also came up with an idea on bringing back a friend to watch the musical and she hoped that friend could make it in time.

Carlos walked into the bomb shelter, holding a big basket of flowers. Seb asked him who the flowers are for, but Carlos said that it didn't come with a card and he thought the flowers was possibly for Nini, and it turns out they aren't for Nini. So the mystery of who got the flowers and who they are for is unknown...Until the end of the play, but they don't know that yet.

EJ glances at his girlfriend who sat near where he was standing, he sighs when he notices she was bouncing her right leg which was something she did when she was nervous. "Babe, you have nothing to be nervous about." He puts a hand on her knee which makes her stops and she looks at him. He sent her a reassuring smile. "Everything is gonna be fine."

Tabitha bit her lower lip, looking down at the floor. "I hope you're right."

EJ squeezes her leg gently before taking his hand off and went back to checking something on his phone while Kourtney finished putting finishing touched on his makeup.

"Head up, Mr. Caswell," Kourtney speaks to him. "You know Miss Jenn said that this is a phone free zone."

"I know," EJ nods. "But this is important."

Kourtney rolls her eyes. "Always is."

"Trust me," Tabitha said, sending her a small smile when she looked back at her. "It is important."

Miss Jenn walks into the bomb shelter a few moments later and everyone gathered together, forming a circle. Once she found out that no one knows who the beautiful flowers are for she said that they all might as well share them. Miss Jenn reminded everyone that their dazzling Taylor, Gina, had to leave because of family circumstances and that Gina sent her love and support to to all of them, but she won't be able to make it since she's on the East Coast. What everyone else doesn't know is that EJ and Tabitha have a plan on bringing Gina back.

When Miss Jenn tells everyone she had asked Kourtney to fill in for Gina Tabitha looks at Kourtney with a wide smile and cheered along with everyone else. Miss Jenn then said for everyone to think of a word or phrase from the movie that expresses where their head is at that night or what their goals is for that night. 

Words and phrases from the movie were tossed around the room from a lot of the cast members. At the end, Miss Jenn said to everyone, "No matter what happens tonight, we're all in this together." Everyone smiles at her. With a smile on her face she claps her hands after a moment of silence. "Okay, Wildcats, take a moment to settle your nerves. If we had a curtain, it would be up in twenty minutes!"

Everyone and continued to make sure they were ready for the show. Tabitha had checked in on Big Red, making sure he can handle the lights and stuff by himself. Tabitha offered to help him out since she noticed he was still kind of struggling and he said her helping him would be very much appreciative.

Soon the gym was filling up with audience and it was about time for the show to start. Miss Jenn gestured for Big Red to dim the lights and Tabitha went to show him what button that was, but he pressed a different one and she cringed when the national anthem played. Miss Jenn then told him to bring the disco ball down. Tabitha furrowed her eyebrows at that, wondering why they would need the disco ball at the moment. After Big Red had pressed the button for the disco ball to appear, two backstage workers quickly pulled out the set for the 'Start of Something New' scene.

"Okay, Big Red, let's just try to turn off the national anthem." Tabitha spoke softly, moving to stand beside him again while looking at the light and sound system. She quickly turned off the national anthem that was playing and the musical started a few moments after that. 

The audience seemed to really enjoy the show so far and Tabitha was proud the sets looked. Tabitha had got her phone out of her pocket, sending a text to EJ to make sure that their plan is working. A smile formed on her lips when he replied a few seconds later saying that it is and her smile grew at seeing the 'xo' he he sent in the text as well. 

Then it was time for the firework sound and Big Red couldn't seem to find it and he accidentally turned on the buzzer sound that's supposed to be sounded at the game part of the show. Tabitha understood that the light and sound system was a bit difficult to work with, but it wasn't that difficult. 

"Need a hand?"

Tabitha looks over to her left when she heard Mr. Mazzara ask that. She sighs. "Yes, 'cause apparently he won't listen to me."

"Sorry." Big Red apologizes, sending her an apologetic smile and glanced at the light and sound system. "This is all just really confusing." He looks at Mr. Mazzara with raised eyebrows. "How many hands you got? 'Cause I'm gonna need a lot of help."

"Okay," Miss Jenn smiles at the three. "I'll leave you guys to it."

"Not so fast." Mr. Mazzara stops her before she left. "Maybe you could have an usher spread the word during the intermission." He hands her some robotics club stickers. "I've got a whole box for you."

Miss Jenn nods. "Consider it done."

She left and Mr. Mazzara puts on the other set of headphones. Tabitha chuckled when he slapped Big Red's hand away when the red-haired boy went to press a button. Tabitha left the two alone, knowing that Big Red would be alright with Mr. Mazzara's help and she went over to where the doors of the gym are to watch the rest of the show. She had to admit Kourtney did really good acting as Taylor, but she could tell the dark-skinned girl was nervous. 

It was almost time for the 'Stick To The Status Quo' scene and Tabitha was starting to wonder if Gina was ever going to make it to see the show. When she felt her phone buzz she got it out of her pocket, smiling when she saw a text from Gina, telling her that the girl had just arrived. The 'Stick To The Status Quo' scene was going great so far and the audience seemed to love it and Tabitha noticed some were even singing along.

Her eyebrows furrow together when she saw Gina as Taylor jump on top of the table. A wide smile then tugged on her face, realizing that Kourtney must've asked Gina to play Taylor. She remembered that Kourtney was really nervous for this dance break and Gina was killing it. Tabitha went to the bomb shelter after that scene, wanting to tell everyone what an awesome performance that song was and wanted to say 'hello' to Gina and give her a hug.

When she got to the bomb shelter, she went over to her boyfriend since she saw Gina was talking with Ricky. "Babe, you are doing amazing out there!" Tabitha told EJ, placing a kiss on his cheek which made him smile at her.

"Thanks, Tabs." EJ speaks, the smile on his face never leaving. "I'm having a blast out there. And Gina arrived just in time. Our plan worked." He raised his closed in fist to her and she grinned, fist bumping her fist against his. EJ left to go get changed for the 'Getcha Head In The Game' scene that was next but not before he placed a chaste kiss to her lips. She was glad he left rather quickly because then he couldn't see her blushing.

"Troy and ballers in five minutes!" Carlos exclaims, walking into the bomb shelter. He points at Ricky. "Ricky, we need you in a harness, pronto."

Ricky went to go change and Tabitha walked over to Gina, noticing she was all by herself now. "Gina!" Tabitha said, grinning at her. Gina looks up from looking at the floor, grinning when she saw Tabitha in front of her. "Tabi!" Gina pulls her in for a tight hug. "You are seriously the best for getting me that plane ticket."

"EJ was the one who got the plane ticket," Tabitha shrugs after they pulled away from the hug. "But I was the one who came up with the idea." She smiles. "We're a team."

Gina smiles. "Yeah, well, you two are a cute team together. And it means a lot to me that you guys would do something like this for me." 

Tabitha shakes her head, sending her a smile. "It's not a problem, G. You're our friend and we didn't want you to miss out on this. You deserved to be here just like everyone else."

Tabitha missed seeing the next scene, but it sounded like something happened that wasn't supposed to happen. She heard the music had stopped for a few moments which made her worried. When she talked with Big Red during the intermission after she went to check up on him she found out that Ricky had froze in the middle of the song when he spotted his mom's new boyfriend had arrived. Tabitha honestly felt bad for Ricky. She knew how it wasn't easy to deal with parents getting a divorce so this must be hard for him. 

Tabitha was a bit surprised to hear that EJ was now going to play Troy for Act Two. She went to find him, meeting him in the hallway by the dressing room he just walked out of. She had to admit, he looked really good in the Troy basketball outfit. 

"EJ, you're playing Troy now? That's awesome!" Tabitha cheered, walking up to him with a smile on her face.

"Yeah, but I feel like I could throw up at any second." EJ admitted and she knew he was nervous by the way he would avoid eye contact with her. 

"Honey, look at me," Tabitha puts a hand on his face to give him comfort and to make him look at her. When they lock eyes, she sends him an encouraging smile. "You got this, okay? You're extremely talented and a natural in front of a crowd. You're gonna be great as Troy."

EJ's heart flutters at the new pet name she used and smiles at her, a light shade of pink dusting his cheeks at her words of encouragement. He puts his hand over hers, leaning into her touch. "Thank you, Tabitha. You are the best."

"You're welcome." Tabitha smiles back at him, and butterflies swarm in her stomach. "You're the best too."

When it was time for the next scene, Tabitha went out to watch it, and stood by the doors of the gym. It was a little awkward and Nini acted nervous and confused during the scene. At one point Tabitha noticed Ricky's mom get up and go out to the hallway where she guessed Ricky was at. She thought it was good the two were going to talk. Ashlyn was amazing with her solo and the audience loved it. Before anyone knew it, it was time for the 'Breaking Free' scene.

Tabitha looks to her left when she heard the door behind her open, smiling a bit upon seeing it was Gina and Ricky. She sent them a smile and they both smiled back at her. Tabitha looks back at the front of the audience where EJ and Nini are standing, furrowing her eyebrows and shared a confused look with Gina and Ricky when Nini didn't say her next line after EJ spoke his line.

EJ glances back at the doors of the gym since he noticed Nini was looking that way a lot and he sighs slightly, noticing Ricky was standing there. He looks back at Nini. "Remember kindergarten? There's nothing like the friends you made back then. And they never really leave, do they?"

Nini looks at him with confusion. "What are you doing?"

EJ shakes his head, looking at her with a small smile. "Something right, I hope. I'm gonna play to lose. I'm not the Troy you want." He chuckled lightly, giving her a comforting squeeze on the shoulder before he walked to the backstage area that's behind where the sets of the lockers are at. Confused murmurs filled the room from the audience after EJ walked away.

Tabitha smiled, knowing her boyfriend did the right thing. Nini started walking towards Ricky, singing the beginning of the song, and Ricky met her half way. Tabitha thought it was sweet when Nini got her phone out, turning her light on and aimed it at Ricky, doing the same thing he did with her at the auditions. Tabitha couldn't hear what they were talking about since they were speaking quietly, but she was sure Nini was encouraging him to do this and reassuring him things will be fine. Nini nodded at the orchestra to start playing and looked back at Ricky.

"But your faith, it gives me strength." Nini sings and then Ricky joined her for the next line. "Strength to believe."

"We're breaking free." Nini sang, walking over to the audience hand in hand with Ricky and they both had big smiles on their faces.

The two continues to sing as they make their way through the audience and to the area where the set for the 'Breaking Free' scene is set up. 

A smile tugs on Tabitha's lips when she felt an arm wrap around her shoulders and she automatically knew it was EJ. She glances at him, seeing he was already staring at her with a smile. EJ looks over at Gina with a small smile and chuckles lightly. "Some wonderstudies we are, huh?"

Gina nods, her lips forming into a smile. "Heck yeah, we are."

At the curtain call the cast members went out and bowed as they sang the song 'We're All In This Together'. Miss Jenn even let Gina and Kourtney go out together since they both played Taylor. Tabitha was sure she cheered the loudest when those two went out to bow and when EJ went out to bow. Gina and Nini had brought out Carlos and Miss Jenn out which Tabitha thought was sweet. They even gave Miss Jenn a tray with an apple on it so she could say her line that was cut from the show. 

"Wildcats everywhere wave your hands up in the air." The members of the show got into a line, holding each other's hand. They each sing, bowing in a wave at each word they sang. "That's the way we do it. Let's get to it. Come on, everyone."

The gym was erupted with cheers and the audience were up on their feet. Then confetti cannons were shot off, but Tabitha noticed that they were Mr. Mazzara's robotics stickers which made her smile. Ashlyn was the one to gesture Tabitha over to join them when the cast members were hugging and high fiving each other. Tabitha smiled and went over to join them, giving Ashlyn a hug first. After hugging and high fiving most of the members of the show she ends up by EJ's side when they all start chanting 'Wildcats' as they jump up and down. The crowd even joined in with them. 

The drama club members got everything cleaned up after the audience left and they all went back to the bomb shelter. "So, who are the flowers for?" Seb asked.

"Everybody, hold." Carlos responds, looking at the bouquet of flowers that was in the big basket. He holds out a card for everyone to see with a smile on his face. "We got a card, people." He looks at the card and reads it out loud. "'To Ashlyn. Because you get me.'"

Ashlyn stands up, smiling at her cousin, who stood near her. "EJ! Really?"

EJ laughs a bit and shakes his head. "I didn't write that."

"I did." Big Red said as he stood up. Ashlyn looked at with a bit of surprise but smiles at him while he smiled at her.

"Okay, if you guys stay in here any longer your parents are gonna riot in the lobby." Kourtney told everyone.

Tabitha got her backpack and headed out to the lobby, almost immediately her parents went over to her with big smiles on their faces. "Tabitha! That was amazing!" Her mom, Victoria, exclaimed, pulling her in for a tight hug.

"Yes, it really was! And your sets looked incredible, kiddo." Spencer, her dad, complimented while pulling her in for a hug after she pulled away from the hug with her mom. 

Tabitha smiles widely and hugs wraps her arms around him tightly. "Thank you, dad."

"Yeah, we're really proud of you." Victoria told her.

After the hug with her dad, Tabitha looks at her mom and dad with a bright smile. "Thank you. I love you both."

"We love you too." Her parents said to her.

"Tabitha, that was so cool!" Maeve exclaimed, running over to her best friend. 

Tabitha giggles a bit at her excitement and meets her half way. She hugs Maeve back when the brunette-haired girl hugs her. "Yeah, it was really good, wasn't it?"

"So good!" Levi grinned, walking over to them with his and Maeve's parents. 

"Those sets designs looks so good, Tabitha." Wesley, Maeve's and Levi's dad, commented, pulling her in for a side hug. 

"Yeah," Josie agrees, pulling her in for a hug next. "You are so talented, Tabitha."

Tabitha grins. "Thanks." 

"Hey, Tabitha!" Tabitha looks over to her right, smiling upon seeing her boyfriend walking over to her with a smile on his face. She looks back at Maeve and her parents when they let her know that they were leaving. She said goodbye to them as EJ stands by her side. "You going to the after party at Ashlyn's?"

Tabitha nods. "Yeah," She replies to EJ and then looks at her parents who walked over to them, standing in front of the couple. "Um, is that okay?"

"Of course it is." Victoria nods. She looks at EJ, pointing at him as a grin forms on her lips. "You're the boyfriend!"

EJ chuckles lightly. "Yes, I'm the boyfriend." He points at her and Spencer. "And you two are her parents I'm guessing?"

"Yes we are." Spencer nods, sending him a smile. "I'm Spencer," He introduces himself, offering his hand to shake. EJ nervously smiles when he shook Spencer's hand, not failing to notice the tight grip and the intimidating stare Tabitha's dad had. EJ then shook Victoria's hand as Spencer introduced her. "And this is Victoria."

"It's so great to officially meet you." Victoria smiles. "I-" When she saw the look she got from Spencer, she corrects herself, gesturing to herself and Spencer. "We've been wanting to meet you for awhile now, but Tabitha said that we would embarrass her in front of the boy she always talks about."

Tabitha nervously laughs while EJ looks at her with a smirk. "Parents say the craziest things." She said to EJ, nervously smiling at him. "Come on," She links her arm with his and starts walking with him to the door. "Let's get to the after party."

Spencer waves goodbye at the two as they walk away. "Have fun!"

"But not too much fun!" Victoria added.

A/N honestly wasn't for sure how to end this, but i kinda like how i ended it. anyway, nelswell has my heart! & also loving ej's, tabitha's & gina's friendship with each other. (: i am also so excited to start writing season 2! some interesting things are gonna happen so buckle up wildcats & get ready for a interesting ride :)
