It's finally homecoming night.

After telling Maeve she finally decided on going, the two went shopping, and were now getting ready at Maeve's show. With Maeve's help she had her hair curled and wore simple makeup. Tabitha decided on a red long dress and on the top half of it was covered in sequins. Maeve even somehow convinced Tabitha to wear sliver heals with the dress. Tabitha rarely wear heals so she just hopes that she doesn't break a bone.

"You look fantastic!" Maeve compliments as Tabitha walks down the stairs to where Maeve and her parents are standing near the front door.

Tabitha smiles. "Thanks! You look fantastic as well."

"Oh, I know." Maeve flipped her hair over her shoulder, smiling at Tabitha, and the two shared a laugh.

Maeve wore an ankle high long dress that was the color of different shades of red. It also had a small bow on the right arm that was hidden on the dress and a bow around the waist of the dress. She wore black heels, simple makeup to match the dress, and had her toenails painted a dark shade of red.

"Okay, I want pictures!" Maeve's mother, Josie, exclaimed, gesturing for the two girls to get in front of the fireplace.

After a lot of pictures, Maeve and Tabitha got to the school. Once they got their tickets, they walked into the gym, looking in awe at the decorations in the gym.

"They did good decorating this year." Maeve commented.

Tabitha nods in agreement, glancing around the decorated gym with a smile. "Yeah."

"Oh!" Maeve noticed the picture taking set up that's towards the right side of the room. A grin tugs on her lips. "We should take some pictures just for us."

"Yeah, 'cause we don't have enough of those." Tabitha sarcastically said, giggling a bit at the annoyed expression on Maeve's face. "I'm kidding! You know I love taking pictures with you. C'mon." She linked her arm with Maeve and walkes over to the picture taking set up.

When they got the photos they took they went over to the table they were supposed to sit at which happened to be with some of the theater kids, including Ashlyn, Big Red, Carlos, and Ricky.

"Hi, guys." Tabitha greeted.

"You two look amazing." Ashlyn commented as Tabitha and Maeve sat between Big Red and Ashlyn.

"Thanks!" Maeve smiled.

"You all look amazing as well." Tabitha commented each of them, looking at them with a smile, her smile widening when they smile back at her.

"Okay, we definitely need to take a picture." Carlos said, getting his phone out. He tells the girls to lean in as he leans over to them. When he took the picture, Tabitha grins at seeing the outcome. "You better send that to me."

"Me too." Ashlyn and Maeve said.

Carlos chuckles and nods. "Don't worry, I will."

Tabitha and Maeve then start to have a conversation with Ashlyn when a few minutes later, a familiar voice got the attention of everyone who were sitting at the table.

"Excuse us?" Tabitha looked over in the direction she heard the voice, surprised to see EJ with Gina and she hated the pang of hurt she felt when she noticed Gina had her arm linked with EJ's.

Gina smiles at the six of them, gesturing to the two seats across from Tabitha and Maeve. "These seats taken?"

Tabitha and Maeve stared at each other with shock, neither of them expecting EJ and Gina to come to homecoming together. As Tabitha looked back at the odd pairing, Tabitha noticed that EJ didn't look that happy which made her wonder why he was with Gina.

Ashlyn and Tabitha were trying to reassure Carlos that Seb would eventually get there, but it didn't seem like they were doing that good with making him feel any better.

Tabitha looks over at Gina with narrowed eyes when she says to EJ, "Could you get me some punch, babe?"

EJ locks eyes with Tabitha for a few seconds before Tabitha was quick to look away which made EJ frown a bit. He quickly replaces the frown with a fake smile as he looks at Gina, hesitantly replying with, "Sure, babe."

EJ gets up and goes over to the punch table while Ricky takes EJ's seat, starting to talk with Gina about how she can do better than EJ. Tabitha sighs, and stands up, not wanting to be around to hear this. She looks at Maeve when her best friend looks at her with confusion. "I'm gonna get some punch."

"Can you get me some too?" Maeve asked her and Tabitha nodded.

Tabitha walked over to the punch table seeing that EJ was still over there. She sighed and does her best to avoid him while getting herself and Maeve some punch.

"Okay, why are you ignoring me all of a sudden?" EJ asks her. He tilts his head to the side with a small frown on his face. "Is it payback for when I ignored you? Look, I'm really sorry about that."

"Why are you with Gina of all people?" Tabitha questioned.

EJ narrows his eyes at her. "I asked you a question first."

Once she finished pouring punch in the cup she held, Tabitha sighs and looks at him. "I'm ignoring you because of something I've been wanting to tell you for a while now, and now that you're with Gina I can't do that even though I really want to."

EJ furrows his eyebrows, confused but also wanted to know what she wanted to tell him. He shakes his head. "I-Me and Gina aren't a couple. We just came to the dance together. That's all. This was all her plan."

"I don't like her that way. I-I like someone else." He mentally scolded himself for saying the last part. He wasn't for sure if he was ready to tell Tabitha how he really felt about her. But he might have to after saying that he likes someone.

"Wait, really? You-you like someone else?" Tabitha looked at him with wide eyes, kind of hoping who he likes is her.

"I..." EJ shakes his head, and gets the cup of punch he got for Gina. "I gotta get back to Gina."

Tabitha furrows her eyebrows, watching him walk away. She wondered why he acted so nervous around her and wondered who he likes.

"Wait, you're saying EJ said he likes someone? Like, like-like?" Ashlyn asked Tabitha after she told her, Carlos, and Maeve what just happened. Tabitha also noticed that Big Red and Ricky were standing near the punch table talking.

Tabitha nods. "That's what he said."

"Wow." Maeve said. She looks at Tabitha with a grin. "What if he's talking about you?"

Tabitha scoffs, shaking her head. "Why would he be talking about me? Why would he like me that way?"

"Are you blind?" Ashlyn asks her, starting at her with disbelief. "It's obvious he's head over heels for you. And I mean, you two almost kissed the other night!"

"That's new information to me." Carlos said, looking at Tabitha with wide eyes. Tabitha sheepishly smiled, feeling her face get hot at remembering that night.

"Ooh, I see drama." Maeve suddenly said, pointing towards the right end of the punch table where EJ and Gina were arguing.

The three of them look over in that direction. Tabitha's eyes grow wide and she lets out a gasp when Gina gets a cup of punch and pours it on EJ. EJ looks at her with surprise, but Gina just glares at him, throwing the empty cup on the ground. "That's the plan!"

Gina storms out of the gym and Tabitha looks back at EJ seeing he was trying to get the punch out of his hair. "I'm gonna go check on EJ, alright?" Tabitha stood and started walking over to EJ, not bothering to wait to hear if Ashlyn or Maeve said something.

"Hi." Tabitha greeted EJ once she got
to him.

He glances at her and sighs heavily. "Hi." He grimaces. "I guess you just saw what happened?"

Tabitha nods, smiling sympathetically at him. "Yeah. Kind of a mean thing to do if you ask me."

EJ chuckles lightly. "Yeah, I agree."

"Are you okay?" Tabitha asked him, looking at him with concern.

He shrugs. "I mean, I guess. I just got so frustrated with Gina. She didn't tell me anything about whatever plan she had in mind to do tonight. She just told me I was going to the dance with her and it probably would've mattered if I said no 'cause most likely she would've still made me go."

"I'm sorry." Tabitha apologizes, looking at him with a sympathetic smile. "You shouldn't have had gotten punch dumped on you."

"You don't have to apologize. It wasn't your fault. And besides I'm fine." EJ reassured her.

"Do you want me to get you a towel to dry off a bit?" Tabitha offers, smiling softly at him. "I'm sure I can ask one of the teachers to let me get one from the cafeteria."

"Sure. Thank you." EJ tells her, looking at her with a smile. That smile widen at seeing the smile on her face. "I'll be waiting in the hallway."

After Tabitha talked to one of the teachers and got a towel from the kitchen she goes to the hallway where she finds EJ leaning against the wall.

EJ gets off the wall, smiling a bit when he noticed Tabitha walking back over to him. Tabitha sent him a small smile and hands him the towel. "Here."

"Thanks." EJ said, taking the towel from her. He dries his hair off and his suit the best he could. When he was done he puts the towel over one shoulder and looks at Tabitha with a nervous smile. "Um, there's also something I wanted to talk to you about."

Tabitha raises her eyebrows at him, silently urging him to continue. EJ takes a deep breath before he takes a step closer to her. Tabitha's heart beats faster when he does that and she wonders why he acted so nervous at the moment. She has never seen him this nervous before.

"I like you." EJ admits. "I like you so much that there are no words to describe how much I like you."

Tabitha stares at him with wide eyes, not expecting him to say that. She never thought someone like EJ would like someone like her. EJ nervously smiles at her, beginning to worry he just ruined their friendship when he saw the shocked expression on her face. "Please say something so I know that I didn't just ruin what we have now."

His eyes grew wide when he suddenly felt a pair of lips on his. After he got over being surprised and just when he was going to kiss her back she pulled away. Tabitha shyly put some hair that fell in front of her face behind her ear, feeling her face get hot. "S-Sorry. I'm sorry. I probably shouldn't have done that. I just...I didn't really know what else to say and all I wanted to do in that moment is kiss you so I did and-"

EJ cups both side of her face and kisses her. Tabitha doesn't hesitate to kiss him back, finding her self melting into the kiss. She couldn't believe she's actually kissing EJ Caswell. The kiss was full of love and passion and she didn't want it to end. But sadly they had to pull apart for air.

EJ smiles widely at her. "I'm guessing you feel the same way?"

Tabitha chuckles lightly. "Of course I do, you dork." She replied, smiling when he rests his forehead on hers.

"So...Wanna go out with me?" EJ asked her, looking at her with a nervous smile.

Tabitha laughs a bit and nods, smiling widely at him. "Yes, I do."

After getting the towel back to the kitchen, EJ and Tabitha were now back in the gym, sitting at the table they sat at earlier. Tabitha told Maeve about what happened since Maeve noticed she was blushing when she and EJ walked back inside. Maeve was beyond happy to hear that the two finally got together.

Tabitha looks out at where others were dancing, noticing Carlos dancing in the middle by himself. EJ leans over to Ashlyn and says, "I actually feel kind of bad for the guy."

Ashlyn glances at him and then at Carlos before she gets up and goes over to dance with Carlos. Tabitha smiles, thinking it was sweet Ashlyn did that. At the chorus of the song that was playing quite a few students go out onto the middle of the gym, jumping and singing along with Ashlyn and Carlos.

Then there's a break dance in the song. Some students back off to the side, watching Ashlyn, Carlos, and a couple of other students start to do the same dance. From their seats, Tabitha and Maeve were jamming along to the music and cheering on the ones who were dancing stands up, pulling Tabitha with her.

When the song gets back to the chorus Big Red goes to join the students having fun. Maeve gets up, pulling Tabitha up with her. Tabitha gestures for Maeve to join the others now, looking at her with a reassuring smile which was her way of letting her know she'll be out there in a second. Maeve nods, looking back at her with a smile and joins the others.

From wherever they were at in the gym, everyone was now dancing or singing along to the song, but Tabitha noticed EJ seemed to be the only one Tabitha walks over to EJ, grabbing his hand and pulls him out of the chair. She smiles at him, gesturing with a nod of her head to the students dancing. "C'mon, let's go."

EJ didn't really want to join, but he reluctantly lets Tabitha pull him over to the group dancing and jumping around to the song that was being played on the speakers in the gym. A smile tugs on his lips at seeing Tabitha smile. She was happy and that's all that matters to him. His smile widens when she giggles as he twirls her around. Throughout the song EJ had to admit he was starting to have some fun.

Everyone who were in the middle of the gym were now dancing in a circle, singing and dancing to the song. Tabitha smiles when a few students lift Carlos up into the air towards the end of the song. At the end of the song everyone cheered. Most students went back to their seats while others stayed to dance with their partner when a slow song came on.

EJ offers his hand to Tabitha. "Wanna dance?"

Tabitha takes his hand, looking at him with a teasing smile. "Oh, so now you wanna dance?"

EJ rolls his eyes playfully as a smile tugs on his lips. "Oh just shut up." He replied, pulling her closer to him. He wraps his arms around her waist and she wraps her arms around his neck while they swayed along to the song.

This night turned to be a perfect night for Tabitha. It was one she for sure was never going to forget.
