One by one, Jiro had collected the groceries: a loaf of bread, a carton of milk, some fresh vegetables, and a few other essentials.

As the cashier scanned the items, she couldn't help but smiled warmly, appreciating Jiro's kind gesture. "You know, this is very thoughtful of you. She'd appreciate this a lot."

Jiro paid for the additional groceries and collected the bags, proceeding to give a small smile and thanked her before going out the door with the bag. His caribbean blue eyes staring at the items before he looked back up.

Outside, he once again walked in the rainy streets, his mind focused on finding her. He held the bags of groceries tightly before retracing his path back towards the direction he had seen her earlier.

Finally, he crossed the street and turned a corner. He quickly saw her standing there, looking disheartened and vulnerable. Her long curly russet brown hair a bit disheveled as she stared the busy streets confusingly. It seemed she tried finding her purse but to no avail.

Jiro swiftly approached her, the bag of groceries in his hand.

"Miss," Jiro called out to her. The girl's eyes widened in surprise as she turned to face him. She seemed taken aback by his presence.

She blinked, and a mixture of emotions played across her face-surprise, gratitude, and a hint of embarrassment.

"Um..." she stammered, her voice quivering slightly. "Do I know you?"

She seemed to be struggling to recognize him for a moment before her eyes widened with recognition. "O-Oh, you're from my art class. I'm sorry. Is there something you need?"

Jiro held out the bag of groceries he had bought for her. "I was wondering if these were your groceries from earlier belonged to you?"

"H-Huh?" Sora's eyes fell on the bag, and her heart sank. She knew she couldn't accept the groceries. Her wallet had been stolen, and she had no means to repay him. His kindness overwhelmed her a bit.

"Y-Yes, I appreciate the offer but," she began hesitantly, "but I can't accept them. My wallet got stolen, and I have no money right now to pay you for these."

Jiro simply extended the bag further toward her, his demeanor unwavering. "I heard about your wallet. That's why I bought these for you. Consider it a temporary help until you sort things out."

Sora hesitated, sadness still evident in her eyes. She didn't want to burden someone she barely knew, yet she found herself unable to ignore the generosity before her.

"You really don't have to-" she started, but Jiro's quick answer silenced her objections.

"I want to," he said calmly.

She hadn't expected such compassion from someone she had only recently recognized from class. Her heart softened as she finally accepted the bag of groceries, her gratitude genuine.

"Thank you," she whispered, her voice filled with emotion.

Jiro nodded, his expression unchanging."Did you report the theft to the store or the authorities?"

Sora shook her head. "No, I haven't yet but planning to soon. I was just too upset, and I thought it wouldn't make any difference."

Jiro's nods. "It's still worth informing them. They might have security footage that could help identify the thief. And you should also consider reporting your missing purse to the police so they can easily track it back."

Sora nodded, grateful for Jiro's advice. She realized that his calm and collected demeanor was precisely what she needed in this moment of chaos. "Thank you again. I'd repay you if I could right now."

"No need." Sora's dark earthly hued eyes widened as she then saw Jiro bowing before proceeding to walk away past her with his own bag of groceries. She tried to call him back but noticing how he hadn't heard her, she quickly rushed to him.

Sora remembered the biscuits she had picked up earlier at the store. They were her favorite, and she thought it might be a small but meaningful token of appreciation for Jiro. She quickly retrieved the package from her bag and ran infront of him, holding out her hands to stop him.

Jiro seems surprised, his caribbean eyes gazing at her as he stopped in his tracks. "Is there something wrong?"

"I wanted to say thank you," Sora said, offering the biscuits to him. "These are for you. I know it's not much, but I thought you might like them."

She quickly bowed in respect, holding out her hands to give him the biscuits. Jiro stared at her for a few seconds before hesitating to take the biscuits from her hands.

Jiro then accepted the biscuits with a nod, his expression as composed as ever. "Thank you..."

He then trailed off, clearing his throat. He didn't actually know her name. The familiar face was all he could remember considering he had no sort of interaction with her before.

Sora noticed this and smiled. "Sora."

"Jiro," he then introduced himself before he continued. "You didn't have to actually."

Sora smiled warmly, looking up with a grin right after. "I wanted to."

Jiro noticed how she copied his answer fron earlier. He then heard her continue. "And I promise, the next time we meet in class, I'll find a way to repay you properly."

"You don't really have to."

"I want to."

It didn't seem like Sora was ever letting it go as Jiro just nods once again. With that, they bid each other farewell, and Jiro continued on his way to the studio, the package of biscuits in hand. He knew that Sora's gratitude was heartfelt, and he appreciated the gesture.

Though he couldn't help but sigh as could see his mom's attitude in hers. Stubborn.

As he entered the studio, he found his mother working on her latest painting, her brushes moving across the canvas with precision and passion. She looked up as he entered, and her eyes immediately fell on the biscuits he held.

"Oh, what's this?" his mother asked, confusingly.

Jiro sighed, handing her the biscuits. "A classmate of mine gave this to me while I was on the way back. I figured you'd like it."

"An admirer?" A playful twinkle in his mom's eye made him chuckle a bit.

"Classmate. Her purse got stolen earlier. I figured I'd help her and she gave me this right after," he answered as his mom hummed.

"Ah, well, in that case. Keep it." Jiro raised an eyebrow at her as his mom waved it off. "It was meant for you. Better enjoy it, no?"

"I guess but I've never been fond of biscuits..." he mumbled as his mom laughs a bit.

"Just keep it with the groceries you got for yourself, Jiro." His mom then continued painting as Jiro bid farewell once again to go back home. As he waited for a cab, he noticed the clouds clearing.

For a short time, it rained. But the sun's back.

The forecast was right but it probably had a bit of miscalculation of the time.

Jiro eyed the sky before taking out his headphones and played some music. He then quickly entered the cab as soon as it stopped infront of him. After he sat and the cab drove off, his eyes caught of Sora walking home, eyeing the groceries in her hand with a smile.

He then averted his eyes and closed them, enjoying the ride home.
