Jin sat at his end of the table, twirling a pen on the side of his finger. Compared to the other artists that created art the exhibit boasted, Jin was merely a rookie.
It was ironic how the 'Gate' Exhibit was supposed to be his debut as an artist, but the other popular artists stole the limelight and left the small crumbs to Jin.
Jin laid his head on the clothed table and started to doodle on a paper that was meant for a signature.
"Um, excuse me, did you paint this?" A soft but husky voice asked. Jin flinched from the sudden voice and looked up.
The light seemed very bright all of the sudden, and it lit up the edges of the person's hair like a halo. Perhaps they were his savior. Jin scrunched his eyes to get used to the sudden light exposure.
Jin saw a guy who had goddamn attractive muscles and strawberry blonde hair. God, if Jin didn't know any better, he'd try to be reborn as this man's mom's child. Who knows how perfect those genes would be. The only thing stopping Jin from doing that was the reminder of how perfect he was from a mirror across the stage.
"Excuse me?" Jin squeaked. He then covered his mouth in embarrassment. The man stifled a laugh and pointed to Jin's work in the corner.
"Did you paint that?" He asked again. Jin blankly stared at his canvas before snapping his head back to the conspicuous man who had received more than several lewd glances from other visitors.
"Yes? Why do you ask?" The man studied Jin's name plate.
"Kim Seokjin? I'm Jeon Jungkook. I was fascinated by your work. It had a different vibe from the other artworks I've seen in here. It seemed more relatable and raw." Jungkook glanced at the long string of chairs occupied by other artists.
"Really? Thank you, I guess." Jungkook noticed the paper Jin had previously doodled on and snatched it. Jin blinked before realizing what happened.
"Oh– Um, this is nothing really." Jin lunged over the table to take the paper back. Jungkook jerked the hand that held the paper up, so Jin clasped his hand on air, smacking his stomach on the table.
With a groan, he slinked back onto his seat and Jungkook flashed a triumphant smirk, satisfied by his latest win. That was more than enough to snatch Jin's breath away.
"Can you sign this then?" Jungkook waved the paper loosely in front of Jin's face. With a duck-like pout, Jin set the paper down to sign it beside the drawing of a moon and sun.
"Oh, and can you include your number too?" Jungkook flawlessly mentioned, flashing his Jin-snatching smile.
"... Sure—wait what?" Jin didn't have any words, as they were tossed around like tumbleweeds in the desert from Jungkook's bold request.
"Can I have your number?" Jungkook asked once more, but this time, demanding a more positive answer.
"Uh— why?" Jin asked innocently. Jungkook rolled his eyes and circled his tongue on his left cheek.
"Because you're cute and I want to know you better. Is that good enough?" Jungkook huffed.
"Oh..." Jin sheepishly blushed. He turned his focus to the paper instead of Jungkook to mask his creeping blush from being seen.
"Thanks," Jungkook plucked the paper seconds before the ink of Jin's pen dried.
"Ah—!" Jin closed his mouth as Namjoon's voice came over the loud speaker.
