"Where do you think you're going?" Wilbur immediately grabbed my hand the moment I turned away. 

I wanted to get out of this place, this backstage. I know I don't have the guts to get out there and best the auditions, so why do I even have to try?

I tried to pull my arm from him, crying out, "I can't do this."

"Sure you can," he said as he gave me a heartwarming smile. "I know you can."

"What if they don't like it?" I blurted out. "What if I don't get in? What will I do?"

"Don't think 'bout that," he calmed me down once again. 

"But what if?" I nagged him.

He took a step forward and placed his hands on my shoulders. I felt his calm, steady breath against my face. His lips curved into a smile that seemed to be like a smirk at the same time. 

Funny. He's the only guy that makes me feel this way.

"If it isn't meant for you, then you will have to keep moving forward," he said, proud and loud.

With a deep breath, I nodded to myself and proceeded to the stage.

After my audition, Wilbur ran up to me, hugging me while saying, "That was beautiful. You really killed it, Vi."

I admit I don't have the most confidence out of everyone. I was always used to covering my face, and hiding in my own little shell. I knew I had a voice within me, but I knew it was impossible to be heard. And then Wilbur came waltzing into my life like a megaphone, a megaphone for my voice and my heart.

"Thanks for believing in me, Wilbur," I looked at him with a warm smile.

"That's what boyfriends are for, right?" He snickered.
