⚠Guns, cussing️, death of cops, explosions, semi-talk of past abuse⚠️

Before Aiden could reply the door to their room swung open aggressively...

"Police! Show yourselves!" One of the people yelled while three cops came into the room, guns pointing at the two of them.

Aiden and Jack put their hands up as they stepped into the light of one of the cop's flashlights.

They all dropped their guns quickly when they saw who it was.

"Names?" One of the officers asked.

"Jack Jane," Jack replied as he turned his phone flashlight off with only one hand.

"Aiden Kenith," Aiden replied as he squinted his eyes, the lights directly in his eyes.

"Thank God. You two come with me while you two and everyone else looks for more kids." The main officer stated getting a nod from everyone.

"My name is Ara. You are both going to stay by me and I am going to bring you down to the station where Cassie is going to pick you up okay?" The officer now known as Ara stated as she started to walk out of the room.

"Okay." The boys agreed as they followed her.

"So this is what this place looks like." Aiden thought aloud in a whisper.

Ara had her gun out infront of her as her eyes scanned the area.

"Come on quickly, this way." She said as she started to walk towards the exit of the building.

The boys nodded and followed her.

They quickly made it to the exit and ran out of the building and into the police car.

Ara said some things into her walky-talky as Aiden and Jack buckled up in the back seat.

"I forgot what it looked like out here... Is it always this bright?" Aiden asked as he shielded his eyes from the sun.

"Unless it's raining yeah," Jack replied with a chuckle.

Ara stepped on the gas and drove off towards the station.

"Alright boys, we should be ther-" Ara was cut off by a loud explosion that caused the ground to shake.

She quickly hit the break and looked in the mirror.

The entire building that they had just left was up in flames, presumably killing everyone and everything inside.

"What was that?!" Jack asked as he started to turn around and look out of the back window.

"Nothing Hon, turn back around and don't look behind you okay?" Ara said, her southern mom's tone slipping out some as she typed things into her computer, informing everyone at the station what had just happened.

"Okay," Jack replied as he sat back down, leaning slightly into Aiden's side seeing as the back seat was quite small.

"How about you two talk about what you will do when you get home because you will be staying with Jack's moms for a while," Ara suggested trying to distract the boys from the buring building behind them.

"Really? Cool!" Jack exclaimed as he saw the building in the side mirror.

He didn't want to worry Ara more than she already was so he pretended that he couldn't see anything.

"We could watch movies! A lot of them have come out since 2019. Oh, and we can go to the park behind my house!" Jack said as he saw Aiden see the building as well.

"That sounds great," Aiden replied as he moved his eyes from the mirror to Jack's adorable face.

"What's your favorite thing to go to at a park?" Jack asked with a cute head tilt.

"Well, I normally go for the slide," Aiden replied making Jack let out a confused gasp as Ara started driving again.

"Why not the swings?! Everyone knows those are the best pieces of equipment!" Jack asked as three firetrucks and two ambulances sped by them.

"Yeah they are great but you have to kill six kids before you can even get on one." Aiden joked making Jack burst into laughter.

He then remembered he was in a cop car and just joked about killing six kids.

"That was a joke, I didn't actually mean that." He said quickly to Ara who was trying to hold in her own laughter.

"No it's fine, It was a pretty good joke if I'm being honest," Ara said letting out a little chuckle.

"It was pretty accurate, I mean I wouldn't kill anyone but my little sister had gotten into a fistfight with a kid once over a swing while another kid came up and started to swing on the swing they were fighting over." Jack laughed at the memory.

Aiden and Ara laughed at the thought while Jack cuddled up to Aiden's side.

"You boys can rest if you want, I will wake you when we get there. It is still another twenty-five minutes until we get there." Ara stated when she saw Aiden rest his head atop Jack's who's head was on his shoulder.

"Okay, thank you," Jack said politely as he shut his eyes, smiling slightly when he felt Aiden wrapping an arm around his back.

The two fell asleep rather quickly from the long and eventful day.

***25 Minutes later***

"Boys, wake up. We are here and Jack's mom is here to take you home." Ara said as she opened the back seat door.

Both boys woke up with a slight jump at the sudden sound of someone talking to them.

"Five more minutes," Aiden muttered as he tightened his hold on Jack and buried his face into Jack's hair.

"Come on Aiden, once we get to my house we will eat and then you can go back to sleep." Jack attempted to persuade as he wrapped his arm around Aiden's upper back.

"Okay." Aiden agreed sleepily as he let go of Jack, allowing them both to get out of the car.

Right once Jack was out of the car he was tackled into a hug by someone.

"Don't you ever do something like that again! You scared the living shit out of all of us!" His mum scolded as she hugged him tightly.

"Mum... can't... breathe." He weezed out seeing as she was hugging him too tightly.

"Oh sorry." She said as she loosened the hug.

"Also if I had known that I was going to be kidnapped then I would have just stayed home or skipped school. Unless I knew that I was going to meet Aiden, then I wouldn't have done anything differently." Jack said, smiling over to Aiden when he talked about him.

Aiden smiled lightly with a blush on his face.

"Well, you all seem to have everything taken care of now. I'll leave you to it." Ara said before she started to leave and head inside the building.

"Wait! Can I hug you?" Jack asked as he got out of the hug with his mum.

"Oh um... sure," Ara replied sounding a little confused. Nobody had ever asked if they could hug her after she saved them.

"Thank you for getting Aiden and me out of there!" Jack said as he hugged her before stepping back and going back over to his mum.

"Yes, thank you," Aiden said as he shook hands with her, not one for physical affection from older people. (Not that she was old, she was just older than him.)

"You're very welcome. Well, I hope you have a nice day now. Make sure to get plenty of rest." Ara said with a smile before leaving for the station.

"Alright boys, I got your dinner before I came here so you can go ahead and eat it in the car," Cassie said with a soft smile as she led the boys to her car.

"Thank you, ma'am." Aiden thanked her as they all got into the car.

"Yeah, thanks, mum!" Jack agreed, all of them betting hit with the amazing smell of Jack's Ramen and Aiden's burger.

The two boys ate their food quickly, Aiden having a moment of awe at how fucking amazing the food was having forgotten what anything but dry sandwiches tasted like.

*Once they reach the house*

"Alright Aiden, I hope you don't mind sharing the room with Jack until we can get your room finished," Cassie said as they all got out of the car.

"I don't mind, you don't have to make me my own room though. I'm sure I could sleep on the couch or floor or something if that would be easier." Aiden said not wanting to be a bother.

"Nonsense, you're getting your own room and you are definitely not going to be sleeping on the floor or couch," Cassie said as though the thought of that was absolutely terrible.

"Thank you," Aiden said not really knowing what to say. Back at home he was given the bare minimum and wasn't taken care of.

"Of course, Hon," Cassie replied before opening the door.

Jack was instantly tackled into a hug by the three inside.

"You scared us!" Amy said as she tightened the hug.

"Yeah, when the phone cut out on me I thought something bad had happened!" A.J. agreed as they too tightened their hug.

"I don't really know what's happened but I know that it's bad so I'm happy you're not hurt," Jazzalyn said as she let go of her hug.

The others chuckled at her comment as she looked up at Aiden.

"Who are you?" She asked with a hand on her hip.

"My name is Aiden and I am Jack's friend," Aiden replied with a smile as he held a hand out for her to shake.

"Well I'm Jazzalyn and I don't care if you are his friend, boyfriend, or whatever. If you hurt him then you will be hurt severely and get the luxury of staying at a hospital for a while." She said as she shook his hand, the handshake firm and determined.

"Well I don't have any intentions of hurting anyone here and that includes Jack so you don't have to worry about sending me to the hospital." Aiden chuckled as Jazzalyn took her hand back with a nod.

"Make sure it stays that way and we won't have any problems." She said before walking off to her room.

"She seems fun." Aiden chuckled as A.J. followed her upstairs where their room was as well.

"Oh yes, Jazz is a very interesting one." Amy laughed as she finally let Jack out of her hug.

"I'm going to give Aiden a tour of the house. Then we are probably going to go to sleep because I am very tired." Jack said getting a nod from his moms before he grabbed Aiden's hand and started to show him around the house.

*After the tour*

"And that concludes the tour, I hope I didn't bore you too much," Jack said with a smile as he started to walk into his room.

"You didn't bore me, the house is very beautiful. I will probably need a few days before I can remember where everything is but I will get it eventually." Aiden replied with a smile of his own.

"Hey, you two! Come in here real quick." A.J. said from their door.

"Why? I'm tired." Jack replied pulling out the end for longer than necessary.

"Because I said so. It will only be a few minutes." A.J. said again as they opened the door to their room wider.

"Fine," Jack said defeated as he and Aiden walked into A.J.'s room.

"What do you want?" Jack asked as he flopped down onto their bed.

"I want to know why you both have hickeys," A.J. replied making both boy's eyes widen...
