Part 3:Feelings
I had mixed feelings when the final bell rang at the end of the day and people were running around, getting on buses, driving home, waiting for parents to drive them home, or,like me, heading to the basement for detention.
I was excited, bored, upset, disappointed, scared, panicked, happy, hungry, and, most of all, confused.
Excited because I finally got to spend time with Jayce. Bored because I would have to write sentences or essays for the next two hours. Disappointed because I had yet again failed Rose and Sheldon in not getting detention. Scared because I cannot talk to boys. At all. Panicked because, like I said before, I CANNOT talk to boys, especially if I like that boy. Happy because I got to skip the book club my mom made me join. Hungry because lunch was 2 hours ago and I was starving.
If you don't understand why I felt confused, read the previous paragraph another 27 times.
I tried to ignore all my feelings as I nervously walked down the stairs and that boy, Jayce, caught up to me and started walking next to me. I envied him, being able to act so calm. I would be surprised to find that he was actually freaked out; he was hiding it so well.
I wondered if I was acting that calm.
Probably not.
Oh, well. Too late now. Here we go.
