400k Special
"Hey, Niki, have you seen Schlatt today?"
The pink-haired girl glances up from her locker, tilting her head in thought.
"Mmm, no, I don't think so. Why? Is he in trouble?"
I sigh and cross my arms, leaning on the locker beside hers. The 'hall monitor' badge pinned to the front of my shirt gleams proudly beneath the hall lights. "He missed first period again. And if I don't find him, then a teacher will, which is not going to look good on his resume."
Niki closes her locker, hefting a bag over her shoulder, "ah, right, he's running for class president, isn't he?"
"And not doing a very good job of it." I hum, shaking my head. "I know he has the potential for it, but he needs to start putting in the work."
Something green catches my eye down the hall, between the bustling students, and my eyes immediately narrow.
"Hold on a minute, Niki. I think that's Dream again." I say, straightening up as the tall figure of Dream comes barrelling into sight, slipping like silk between the unsuspecting students. George and Sapnap are of course behind him, doing a much less successful job of avoiding bumping into everyone they meet.
"No running in the halls, Dream," I call out with a frown.
The boy, hearing me, flashes me a cocky grin. "Make me, Bean Sprout!"
"Just because he's the principal's son doesn't mean he should be allowed to break the rules." Niki frowns, watching as Dream sprints past us.
"Mm, he is getting a little power crazy," I agree, my frown deepening.
Sapnap and George are slowly catching up, and while I may not be able to reprimand Dream, I can certainly scold these two.
"Hey, no running," I say, sticking my arms out and grabbing both of them by the back of their shirt collars.
They gag, their legs slipping out from beneath them, and stumble to their knees.
"Ah, no! He's getting away! He's gonna win again!" Sapnap exclaims, watching helplessly as Dream rounds a corner, flashing him the middle finger.
"We were so close," George mumbles, sighing deeply.
"What have I told you about your manhunt games in the halls? Do them outside." I say sternly, releasing their collars.
"This is bullshit, why do you always pick on us?!" Sapnap growls, jumping quickly to his feet and rounding on my smaller frame.
"Because it's always you three that cause the most trouble." I quip back, planting my hands on my hips.
The bell rings right as Sapnap says something, which judging by his angry demeanour was probably extremely rude.
I'm glad I don't hear it as I jab a finger down the hall and tell the two to get to classes.
"Now I know why they've made you hall monitor three years in a row." Niki muses, "I need to get to class now, but good luck finding Schlatt."
I perk up. "Oh, Niki, is baking club open tonight? I was hoping to drop by."
The girl grins widely, "mhm! We're making lemon meringues. But if you're going to be there I'm sure I can find some way of adding coffee into it."
I smile warmly, "thanks, Niki. I'll see you then."
Parting ways with Niki, I return to roaming the halls. The pace has picked up now that the first bell has rung. All the students are walking briskly to their next lessons, clutching rucksacks and binders.
All except three, who stand huddled in a corner, whispering loudly.
I know I should be looking for Schlatt, but I can take a momentary diversion to check on these three.
"What are you three up to?" I question loudly once I'm close enough.
Wilbur jumps slightly, quickly shoves something behind his back, and gives me a pleasant smile.
"Hello, Ares. How are you on this fine day?" He questions me sweetly, his fluffy hair falling into his eyes.
"Yeah! Whatya want bitch!" Tommy challenges, his attitude the total opposite of Wilbur's.
"Hi, Ares." Tubbo smiles innocently.
I like Tubbo. He causes the least amount of trouble out of these three.
"What have you got there, Wilbur?" I question, folding my hands behind my back as I try to peer around him.
"Oh, psh, just some...books."
"Uh-huh," I raise an eyebrow, smiling. He clearly has more than books behind his back.
And then I hear a loud 'cluck' from behind him, and we all fall deadly silent.
"Was that...-"
"Run!" Wilbur yells, and starts sprinting down the hall, revealing the item behind his back to be a...chicken?
Tommy and Tubbo stare in shock for a moment and then also start to run. I stare after them, totally bewildered. This is almost as weird as that time they started up a school club called L'Manburg and tried to go to war with the other clubs.
Shaking my head, confident that they'll get caught by a teacher eventually, I turn on my heels and head for the school field. It's the last place I have to check, and also the last place I want to find Schlatt. Hence why I've put it off till now.
There aren't any classes using the field yet, and I stroll easily across the grass, heading for a set of bleachers set up around the running track.
And of course I find him lead out beneath one of them, his back against the grass as he stares up at the underside of the seats. A cigarette is balanced beneath his lips, a curl of smoking snaking through the air.
"I had a feeling I'd find you here," I say, ducking beneath the beams and entering the shaded patch of land. The perfect hiding place for conducting nefarious deeds. It's one of the best spots for teens to skip classes without having to worry about being spotted.
"Hey, hot stuff. You know I was just thinking about you." Schlatt pulls the cigarette from his mouth and blows out a cloud of smoke.
I scrunch up my nose, but take a seat beside him regardless, stretching my legs out.
"That's funny, because I was also thinking about you, and of how much trouble you're going to be in if I don't get you back for next period."
The teen chuckles and then coughs, rolling over in the grass to stare at me. He props up an elbow and rests his head in a palm.
"You're cute when you're bossy, y'know that?"
"Schlatt..."
"Mm, say my name again."
I roll my eyes, unable to help the smile worming across my lips. This boy always has a way of making me smile, even when I shouldn't. I'm trying to scold him, dammit.
"You're impossible," I smirk, and bow my head to plant my mouth on his. He groans and reciprocates the kiss, pushing forward to deepen it. But just as his tongue starts to slide against mine, I pull back, plucking the cigarette from his hand and stamping it beneath a shoe.
"Oy," he frowns. I can't tell if he's upset about losing his cigarette, or having a good kiss cut short.
"Just looking out for your health, dear." I smile sweetly, and ruffle his dark hair like a dog.
"Remind me again why the hell we're dating?" He grumbles, rubbing at his eyes groggily.
"Because you love me, and I tolerate you." I remark cheekily, swinging a leg over his waist to straddle him in the grass. He lays back, humming, and runs his hands up and down my thighs in thought.
"Yeah, that sounds about right. It helps that you're sexy as hell, too."
"Lucky you." I smirk, bending forward to place my lips to his once more. My hands find his cheeks and hold him as I push my tongue into his mouth, granting him what he'd wanted.
My expression immediately sours, "you taste like smoke." I mutter into the kiss, my brows furrowed.
"Deal with it," is his response, his hands moving up from my thighs to grip my waist, his thumbs digging into the waistline of my jeans. It sends butterflies into my stomach and I shiver.
I slide my fingers from his cheeks and up into his hair, pushing through his thick curls that I love so much. That and his snark. I love how he talks to me. How he's so open about stating exactly what he wants to do to me and how. It's extremely attractive.
Wait, wasn't I supposed to be doing something?
A hand roams up and under my shirt and my brain goes blank, lost in the sensation of his large palm rubbing along my bare skin. His hand is cold, and does wonders against my flushed flesh.
Ah, whatever. I'm sure it can wait. It's not often we get an intimate moment like this on school grounds. Our relationship isn't well known, and we both like it that way. It makes being alone together more rewarding. Schlatt had once commented that he found the anticipation of spending time with me extremely exciting. Since he could look but not touch. I'd laughed, and then I'd kissed him.
The day I get him to admit he's a bottom will be a day to celebrate for sure.
