Chapter 19

"You look so beautiful jiji." Subhadra whispered in awe as she entered in her room, she had a soft smile on her face. "Sakhi always looks beautiful Subhadre." Krishn said with a smile as he followed his sister in with a smile.

Draupadi smiled at the siblings. "Pranipat Madhav." She greeted him with a beautiful smile and hugged Subhadra. Madhav nodded with a charming smile, "So all the preparation for the journey is done?" He asked as he looked around the room, she nodded with a smile.

"Good." He said, "I'll miss you so much Jiji." Subhadra said with tears in her eyes, "I will too." She admitted as she hugged her only friend, "Draupadi putri it's time for us to leave. " Kunti interrupted as she smiled at everyone in the room. "Let's go sakhi." Krishna guided her out of the room while Subhadra followed her.

(A few days later)

Draupadi laid in the swing of her room in Indraprasth, her mind recalling the incidents of past few days, she knew that there would be resistance against them regarding their marriage but she never expected it to be like this. No one in Hastinapur was happy about their marriage, her heart sunk as she recalled how everyone had called her marriage adharm.

Her sacrificing her reputation and happiness was adharm to them, she didn't really know what to feel about this.  But later Pitamah Bhism and Kakashree Vidur had convinced everyone that it was dharm.

Duryodhan had tried to insult Panchaali and as a result arya putr Arjun and Bheem had raised their weapons in the Raj Sabah. King Dhritarashtr had ordered the imprisonment of her aryas, she smiled as she recalled how they had told her to leave because as they would be in prison no one would be there to protect her.

Of course she didn't leave, Pitamah Bhism had made Maharaj Dhritarashtr change his decision and it was decided that the pandavas would be given a separate kingdom to rule.

On Draupadi's suggestion they chose khandavprasth, the kingdom where there was no life and was ruled by Takshak. The pandavas fought the snake king and defeated him, Indra Dev had promised Takshak that he will protect him, seeing Indradev and Arjun fight had her a lot worried, thank fully Govind had come on time and stopped the fight.

Ever since things have been good, Indraprasth was developed by Lord Vishwakarma, and named after Lord Indra, Indraprasth.

The palace was so beautiful, like something that was out of dreams, she was so happy. But with the title of the queen came it's responsibilities which she equally loved and hated.

"Panchaali." She heard arya Sahadev call her, an involuntary smile spread on her face but she quickly hid it as she pretended to sleep. "I know you're awake." He said with a smile on his face but she didn't reply,  she laid without a moment.

"She's sleeping?" Nakul asked as he walked in, his eyes moving to the swing on which his wife lay. "Seems like it. " Sahadev replied as he winked at his brother telling him that he was joking.

"Oo I see." Nakul said as he put his finger on his lips motioning his twin to be quite. Sahadev smirked as the two of them picked up the glasses of water and moved towards their wife.

Draupadi was straining to hear what the two were doing, did they leave her room thinking she's asleep? That's when she gasped as she felt cold water being poured on her.

"Arya!" She gasped with surprise as she sat up the two of them smiling mischievously as they ran away. "Oh not so easy." She called out, as she picked up the jug of water, and ran behind them, Draupadi was on the Royal floor, a part of the palace where everyone was restricted to go except the pandavas and Panchaali.

On this floor there were rooms of Panchaali and her husbands, their Royal study. Panchaali's paint room and some other rooms but no one was allowed here except the six, when they left for the morning court only that time daasis came to clean this part. Otherwise no one was allowed to be here.

The pandavas had made this private floor specially for her, so no one could disturb their times together. Where they could leave as a family.

The odhni that was on her head slipped and fell in corridors as she ran after them, "Come get me Butterfly!" Teased Nakul, "I think her wings are too small to come get us. " Sahadev added.

Arjun and Bheem were talking when they heard the laughter of Panchaali and their brothers. The two smiled as they walked out.

"Panchaali! " Nakul called out her name so did Sahadev, she threw the water that was in the jug, the two bent down and all the water splashed on Arjun and Bheem, who looked in shock just like her. Nakul and Sahadev were rolling on the floor with laughter.

"Oh god!" She exclaimed surprised as she looked at them, "You better run." Arjun and Bheem said together, mischievous look marring their faces. Draupadi giggled as she turned around and the four pandavas began to run after her.

They were faster than her so it didn't take long for Bheem to wrap his arms around her waist as they reached the side gardens. She giggled as he laughed, he twirled with her in his arms. "Arya! " She called out as they all laughed.

"So what should be her punishment?" Bheem asked in mock anger as he put her on the grassy surface, "A dip in the garden's lake!" Sahadev suggested with a bright smile, "Tickle war!" Nakul said enthusiastically and the others grinned mischievously.

"NO! " She almost screamed, "YES!" They said together making her squeal in surprise, as they began tickling her, she squealed with laughter, her laughter filled everywhere as they tickled her.

Yudhisthir watched them with a smile from the balcony of his room, he was the happiest because he only ever wanted to hear her laughter in his house. And now his dream had come true, he had his Kingdom, his family was here, happy and safe.

Draupadi sat on the swing that faced the ceiling to floor length doors of the balcony, that looked over to the beautiful gardens. The swing was moving in a soft motion just like the wind, her heart was thrumming with nervousness and happiness.

Today with Yudhisthir would be her first night, the room was decorated with flowers and she was dressed beautiful sitting on the swing. She didn't want to sit on the bed, she was nervous. How would things happen? What would happen? She had heard whispers from the daasis about their first night and it never really seemed something that was any less painful.

She pushed her leg a bit harder on the floor, slowly increasing the speed of the swing. The moon was bright, the room dark only thing glowing it were the candles and the moon light.

If it was some other day she would have been dazzled by the beauty of everything but not today. The only thing running to her mind was how would this night go? She wired her fingers together as she bit her lips.

Yudhisthir stood at the side, a smile on his face as he watched his wife's nervousness. She looked so beautiful that he had forgotten how to breathe, his heart jolted as he took in her beauty.

He was amused, as he moved towards her. He had removed his crown and all the heavy jewellery and kept it all on her dressing table. What amused him the most that while doing all this she didn't even notice that he was in her room. His footsteps were light, he didn't make a sound as he moved behind her.

He watched her look up at him surprised as he stopped the swing and he laid on the swing his head resting on her lap, she looked down at him with surprise. "Arya?" She asked, "yes?" He said as he closed his eyes. "Will you please move the swing priye?" He asked, his voice sweet and calm. She nodded confused, she pushed on the ground with her feet and the swing set in a soft motion.

"So how was your day?" He asked with his voice soft, "Good?" Came her hesitant reply. What was he doing? She shrugged as she ran her hand through his head, her head resting on the side of the swing. Her mind and body slowly began to relax as her eyes met his, they pulled her, making her forget everything except him. In this moment all that mattered was him, nothing else.

Her soft, delicate hands cupped his cheek. He smiled at her and kissed her palm, he slowly sat up, their eyes never leaving each other as he picked her in his arms. Her cheeks turned pink as he put her on the bed, "You look so beautiful." He mumbled as he pressed his lips to her ear.

Her heart was hammering in her chest as she looked up at him. "Today we are going to start a new life, I want to promise you that I'll always try to keep this beautiful smile on your face." He promised as he pressed his lips on hers, she gasped as she shut her eyes slowly losing herself in him, forgetting about everything except him. He who was her king, her life and her future. . .
