Chapter 4
Emma's POV
We're not sure on what 'Oscar' did to Ruby or who Serenity actually is.. But we will finally find out if he is really Oscar Pan or Peter Pan.
He agreed after Regina's little 'conversation' with him. Let's just say that she had to use some spells before him finally complying.
We also made a plan, well, more like Oscar did.
----------------------------
"Here," Oscar pulled out a familiar clear bean, "it's the last one I have. I need to get more."
"Wait. How do you get more?" Regina asked, quizzically.
"Pan. If I help with recruitment night, he spares a caged Lost Boy's life and gives me a magic bean in turn."
"'Recruitment Night'?" Snow asked.
"Yes. It's where I go to the Enchanted Forest or on the shore of NeverLand and play my flute so that the boys who feel lost and alone hear and follow the sound. A portal then opens up and they teleport to the island, only if I'm doing it from the beach, though."
"What happens if you play it in the Enchanted Forest?" I asked this time.
"The boys follow the noise to where I am. I am hooded and dance around the fire as the new ones come and do the same.
Whenever Pan's not around, I play games like 'Hide n' Seek' and 'It' with the Lost Boys. The older ones help me look after the younger ones. Once, Pan even let me make it snow so that we could have snowball fights, make snow angels. I obviously didn't say that was why though..."
"What did you tell him, then?" Charming asked. Gold was being oddly quiet.
"Told him the island was dying and needed re-watering. That was the last time I used Dark Magic... I used it to kill a plant, of course I healed it after he left."
"But he is more clever than that..."
"He isn't compared to me. I'm good at lying, so I always make it believable. I cover up my tracks or any signs of it not being true..."
We all looked at each other, suddenly regretting him being out of his cell right now...
"Just... Take us to Neverland..." I shook his comment off, though it still sat in the back of my mind, echoing around.
"As you wish..."
We all stood up as Oscar threw the bean on the floor, opening up a portal.
"After you..." Oscar said, gesturing with his hand and a sweet smile on his face.
"No. You first, pretty boy." I pinched his cheeks, leaving them tinted red from being moved around harshly.
He rubbed his cheeks and mumbled colourful words under his breath.
Without any more thought, he jumped through the portal, us following shortly after him.
Finally time to find Henry and to see if Oscar is who he really says he is...
