Chapter 54

Kendall

Logan pulled me out of the room and into the hallway, shutting the door behind him.

"The girl that I love, doesn't remember me?" My voice came out almost inaudible, but Logan still heard me.

"I'm so sorry Kendall."

How can Natalie not remember me, but can remember Jo an Logan? Does she even remember Carlos or James? Her parents? Will she even remember Katie? I don't even know if she'll ever remember our history of two years.

"Maybe you can help her regain her memory of you and all thing you guys did when you were together. The doctor told me that if we all help Natalie around, she might slowly regain everything back."

I looked up at Logan. I could see the sorrow and the pain reflecting in his eyes. He knows what Natalie said hurt me in every possible way, and there's nothing we can do about it.

"How? How can we possibly do that?" I finally said, after being silent. Logan's hand touched my shoulder, and I flinched from his touch. "Start over. Don't act like this hurts you, because she'll think that something is wrong."

The door behind Logan reopened, Jo and Natalie walking out of the room. "Go." Logan whispered. I walked over to the both them, and faked a happy smile at Natalie.

"Jo, who is he?" I tried to not let that affect me in any way. "This is your bo—Kendall. That's Kendall."

She smiled at me, and I sent her yet another one. "Hi Natalie." I stuck my hand out for her to shake, but she looked confused so I put my hand back down to my side.

"You know who I am?"

"We used to be friends for two years. Me, you, Jo, Camille, Logan, Carlos and James all used to hangout everyday." I said, hoping she'll remember at least a little bit of the fun times we all had.

"Carlos? James? Camille? Who are they?" My smile immediately faded. To try and help out more, I pulled my phone out and went to my pictures. I pulled up the pictures of all of us, then handed my phone to Natalie.

"Right there. That's them." I said, pointing to everyone in the right order. Natalie studied the picture for a minute or two before handing the phone back to me. "I'm sorry, I don't remember them." She shook her head violently, then turned to Jo.

I ran back to the Palm Woods and gathered Camille, Carlos and James together inside my apartment. Natalie, Logan and Jo should be back any time now, so I got here before they did to let the others know what happened.

"Natalie remembers Jo and Logan, but not us."

Their eyes went wide as they sat on the couch. "What do you mean?" James asked, combing his hair. Jesus James, it's not salon time. "I mean, she lost her memory of us. Except her parents, and Jo and Logan."

"It makes sense though. Logan and Jo were the last ones to see her before she crashed and when she woke up. That's how Natalie remembers them." Camille said, adding on to my statement.

"Yeah, they were. She obviously doesn't remember us because she always wanted to be alone after the incident in the lobby." Carlos said, referring back to a month ago.

I shivered when he brought it up, because that was a bad time for both me and Natalie.

"So, basically the only way that we can get Natalie to remember us is by doing everything we did together." I said after everyone did their share of talking.

"This is where I live Natalie." I heard Logan say as they walked inside. "I know this already Logan. I've been here a hundred times. Oh, I didn't know that you lived with people." Natalie looked over at me, James, Camille and Carlos piled on the couch.

"Natalie, this is James, Carlos and Camille. Everyone but Camille and Jo live here as well." I said, standing up and pointing at my friends.

"Nice to meet you guys. Well, I must be going. I have to see my mom and dad. Maybe I can come back later, if that's alright with you guys?" Natalie said after she hugged everyone as a greeting.

"Of course you can come back. Text me when you're coming." I said, but then remembered that Natalie won't because she doesn't remember.

"Just text me, Natalie." Logan interrupted, putting his number into Natalie's new phone. Since the crash, Natalie's belongings were smashed and destroyed, so Logan and Jo bought her a new phone.

"I will. Bye guys." I waved as she left.

"Wow, she really doesn't remember us." Camille said, slouching down on the couch.

"No kidding."
