Chapter 25
James
—
Jo and I are constantly on and off, literally almost every day. Neither of us can stay away from each other for more than an hour, but we always fight within that hour over nothing. Over the course of the time Natalie left and to when she got back, me and Jo fought at least four or more times a day, and it's irritating the both of us because we can't go five minutes without fighting. Kinda like me and the guys sometimes.
"James, will you listen to me for just one minute? God!" Jo screamed at me, throwing a pillow across the room. I groaned, rather loudly, and sat down on the couch, throwing my head against the back of it.
"Jo, we've been fighting for over two months without a reason behind it! I don't want to have a girlfriend who I constantly fight with!" I yelled back at her, causing her eyes to widen in horror.
"I don't want a boyfriend who I can't even talk to without starting a fight over everything I say!" She snapped back at me, crossing her arms.
"You know, maybe this was a horrible idea. Me and you wouldn't have worked out either way. You're pretty and rather loud, while I'm handsome and quiet!" I lied on the last part while describing myself. Jo gasped, her mouth covered by her hand.
"Handsome and quiet?! Please! You're the loudest out of everyone. You've got the handsome part on point, but that's not the point. And you're right, this isn't good for us. And our "break" is no longer a break, it's a break up." I refused to speak after hearing what Jo said.
"I think you should leave." I stood up and pulled open the door, waiting for her to walk out of it. When she did, I slammed the door shut and nearly jumped out of my skin when Kendall's mom popped up from the kitchen.
"Holy sh—" I stopped myself from swearing because I know that I'll get my butt kicked. "Yeah, that wasn't going to work out. Sorry to break it to you James." His mom shrugged and left the kitchen.
I had no idea where Kendall, Carlos, Logan, Camille or Natalie were. Katie was at the table doing her math homework, and Kendall's mom was collecting all of our dirty laundry. "Jesus James. Do you ever wear cologne?" Katie's nose crinkled as the basket of laundry went past her. A huge whiff ended up in my nostrils and I wanted to throw up.
Note to self: start wearing cologne more.
After getting the horrific smell out of my nose, I sat down next to Katie and helped her, to my best ability, on her math equations. I'm pretty slow when it comes to math, considering I don't have a brain. Logan is the only one that knows exactly how to do this. Not me.
"The answer would be five, right?" I scanned over the equation that Katie had written down and calculated it in my head. "Correct. Now figure this one out. I'll pay you twenty bucks if you do it without my help." Katie wasn't hesitant to finish because she finished in a matter of seconds. I reviewed her work and sighed. I whipped out my wallet and took out a twenty dollar bill and passed it to Katie.
"This is going in the college savings." Katie randomly pulled out a jar from out of nowhere and pushed the money down.

When the guys walked in the apartment, Katie and I just finished up her lesson that was all about algebraic equations or whatever it was called. They were fighting. Again. I've had enough of people fighting already, it's starting to hurt my head more and more each time someone even says one word.
Carlos and Kendall were fighting over who's turn it was to play against Logan, while Logan was reading some book about doctors and stuff like that. "Guys, enough with the fighting! Don't you hate what you're doing to yourselves? We constantly fight over the stupidest, most littlest things ever." I kicked my chair back and stood up, getting all the attention on me.
Logan looked up from his book, Kendall and Carlos stopped fighting, and Katie slid past us out of the door. "Don't you see? There hasn't been one day where we're not fighting. For example, me and Carlos fight over the Jennifer's when they don't like either of us. Kendall and Logan, you guys just start random fights for the fun of it. Let's go one day without fighting? Please." I breathed out, everyone's eyes blinking rapidly.
"We can totally do this." Logan threw his book in the air.
