"Hey." Jin responded a bit breath taken.

"How...how have you been?" Yoongi whispered. He didn't know whether he should hug him or not. It had been such a long time he forgot how to act around him.

"I've been good. Where have you been? Why haven't you called?" He wondered hurt.

Yoongi was one of the only people that he truly cared about. He was mostly cold towards others.

Not him.

"I...I've been busy." He lied. Jin knew him like the back of his hand. So in fact he knew this was a lie.

"Oh. Okay. Uhh..." he mumbled unsure of what to say next. How could he carry on the conversation with a person he hadn't seen in over a year?

Who out of nowhere vanished into nonexistence without even saying bye?

No explanations were given. Until today Jin wondered about it. How Yoongi could just leave without thinking about it twice.

Jimin cleared his throat getting their attention. "Umm...Jimin can you wait by the cash register?"

"I can wait here with you." He reassured. He didn't trust this dude one bit. It was evident Yoongi was uncomfortable with the guys presence.

"It's okay. You can wait over there. It'll only be a few minutes."

Jimin looked in Jin's direction who now had a blank stare. Was Yoongi dating this dude? Because he seemed like a real dick.

"Okay. If you need me just call me." He said walking by giving him a look.

When he was away Jin finally spoke up. "Is that your boyfriend?" He wondered terrified. Yoongi's eyes widen suddenly worried. That's the last thing he wanted him to think.

"What? No. No. Of course not. Jimin and I are nothing. We're...friends."

"Oh. Okay."

"We're not dating." He clarified yet again.

"Well your friend is a dick. He bumped into me and then tried to start something."

"He...he's impulsive."

"I see that."

Yoongi bit the inside of his lip. He had so many questions to ask. So many things he wanted to talk about with Jin. They just couldn't roll off his tongue like he wished.

"How are you? For real."

"I'm hanging in there. I'm better than I was." He admitted.

"Good. I'm really sorry about what happened."

"It's not your fault. It has nothing to do with you."

"Then why did you stop talking to me? I tried to get up with you multiple times. You just disappeared from all social media. I even went to your condo several times and you never opened the door. Do you know how shitty that made me feel?"

Yoongi quietly sighed and nodded. "Yeah. I know. I just...I didn't know how to talk to you. I didn't want to put you in a weird situation. I mean you're my best friend and his best friend too. When we broke up I didn't want you to pick sides."

"You shouldn't have made that decision for me. You didn't even give me a chance to talk to you."

"I was just embarrassed okay?" Yoongi said a bit harsh. "I didn't—I don't know how to talk to you without thinking of him. All that I want to talk about is him and you're his friend too. It's just weird."

"I still want to be your friend." Jin whispered. "And I know that everything that happened changed a lot of things. It doesn't change the way I feel about you."

Yoongi nodded again. "Yeah. I miss you. I miss our friendship."

"Me too."

"You know you can talk to me about whatever, right? You don't have to pretend with me."

"I know."

Jin's phone started buzzing and he glanced at the screen. Yoongi then cleared his throat, "Uhh...I haven to get going. I have to work tomorrow."

"Oh. Yeah. Totally. Mmm...can we talk sometime?" Jin asked hopeful. He wanted his best friend back.

Their friendship had its ups and downs, but he never expected it to end so abruptly. He wanted nothing more than to have him back.

"Yeah. I will message you."

"Okay. Don't disappear on me again." He smiled.

"I won't." He quietly said with a forced smile. It wasn't Jin's fault. It was just being around him brought back too many memories.

Jin turned around to walk away and Yoongi couldn't stop himself from speaking up. "Hey Jin?"

"Yeah?"

"How is he?" He asked quietly.

"He's doing good."

Is he with someone else? He thought about asking, but couldn't bring himself to do it. "Good. Uh. Well bye Jin. It was nice seeing you."

He waved goodbye and headed to Jimin who was patiently waiting. "Hey!" He said once he saw Yoongi.

"Ready?" He murmured walking ahead.

"Yeah. I thought you weren't coming back."

"I had to." He said as Jimin set his clothes down on the counter.

"What did he say? Do I need to break his pinkie? I heard that's very painful."

"No. You don't need to do that."

The cashier told him his total and he slid the card. Seconds later the receipt printed. She handed him a copy and he took it balling it up in his hand.

"Are we going home now?" Jimin asked.

Yoongi nodded pulling out his keys. His mind was a racing jumbled game at the moment. To the point it was giving him a headache.

Jimin kept quiet the whole ride home. He knew if he said something it would probably be insensitive and unintentionally hurt him. That's why he kept quiet.

When he pulled up to his house he removed the keys and didn't even wait for Jimin. He needed quiet to think things out.

Would Jin tell him that they saw each other?

What if Jin told him he had a new boyfriend?

What if...just wait if he still cared about him and now everything was ruined?

Jimin showed up seconds later with the bags at hand. Yoongi was sitting on a stool in the kitchen with a beer bottle at hand.

"So you drink?" He wondered opening the fridge and taking out a bottled water.

Yoongi didn't reply. He wasn't in the mood to mess around with him. He had so many mixed emotions he didn't even know what to feel.

"Did you know that the liver breaks down most of the alcohol you drink so it can be removed from the body. That creates more substances that are way more harmful than the alcohol itself. It can end up damaging your liver cells and—"

"Not now Jimin." He snapped.

"I'm just telling you what I know."

"Well can you fucking not? I'm not in the mood."

"Mhm. I see that." He said leaning over the table and looking at him.

Yoongi chugged his bottle down and sighed. "Maybe you can talk about it and it'll feel better." Jimin suggested.

"No. I don't want to talk about it. My problem is that you shouldn't have gone up to him and started shit."

"Looks like you do want to talk about it."

"Stop it with the smartass comments. Do you have any idea what you put me through tonight? I did not want to talk to him. I didn't want to relive my past and now that's all I'm thinking about. Only because you couldn't stop yourself."

"I just wanted to make sure he wasn't a threat to you."

"He's not! Okay? I just didn't want to talk to him. Not yet."

Jimin kept a blank stare. He tried to understand him. He honestly did. It was just too confusing. He couldn't get why he was so angry and upset.

Yoongi hopped off the stool aggravated. "You don't get it do you? Are you seriously that fucking emotionless that you can't see how much I'm hurting?"

Jimin didn't reply. What could he say? He sincerely didn't feel a thing. No sadness, no regret, and seeing Yoongi like this didn't trigger nothing inside of him.

He scoffed shaking his head, "Wow. Okay."

"What do you want me to say Yoongi? I don't feel anything."

Yoongi put the beer bottle down and walked away. Sometimes he too wished he didn't feel anything.

It would just be easier.

Jimin followed him behind unsure of what to do. "Hey—" before he could finish Yoongi interrupted him.

"Leave me alone."

"But I—" when he reached over to touch his shoulder Yoongi pushed him away. Of course Jimin didn't even flinch. It still took him by surprise though.

"I said leave me alone."

Jimin took a moment to process this. What he was about to do next would probably get him punched.

"What the fuck? I said let me go!" He screamed as Jimin wrapped his arms around his tiny frame.

"I don't know about feelings. I think this is what you're suppose to do when you feel sad." He whispered.

Yoongi slowly relaxed into his arms. His breathing was still very heavy and uneven. The weight on his chest was still very present.

For a while he assumed the hole in his heart had gotten better. Tonight he realize it hadn't. He had just learn to live with it.

So when all of this happened it only revived emotions in him he didn't think he'd ever feel again.

Instead of fighting off Jimin he sighed resting his head against his chest. He was simply too tired to argue.

And he really needed that hug.
