When your toddler has a nightmare
~ Zarkon ~
Shortly after Gatrea fell asleep, she started dreaming as usual. However, the dream she was having quickly turned dark and scary. She groaned in her sleep, tossing and turning in her bed. She panted heavily when she woke up, sitting straight up in her toddler bed and looking around her bedroom. The dim nightlight was enough to allow her to see her surroundings, but it wasn’t enough. Getting out of bed, Gatrea left her bedroom and walked to the living room where she knew you and Zarkon were.
"Momma. Papa." Gatrea mumbled sleepily as she walked into the living room and seeing that you and her father were still awake.
"What are you doing up out of bed?" Zarkon calmly asked his daughter, pausing the movie he had been watching with you.
"I had a nightmare." Gatrea answered, rubbing her eyes and yawning.
"Aww, come here, baby." You said sympathetically, scooting away from your husband a little.
Gatrea let out another big yawn before she walked over to the couch. Zarkon helped her climb on, offering one of his hands for her to hold onto. Gatrea nestled herself in between you and Zarkon, feeling a little better.
"Can I stay with you and papa?" Gatrea asked you groggily, gazing up at you.
"Yes, you can stay with us; at least until you fall asleep again." You softly told your daughter, wrapping an arm around her.
"No nightmares would dare enter your mind while your mother and I are here with you." Zarkon quietly assured his daughter, not wanting her to lose any sleep.
Gatrea smiled as she laid her head on your lap, letting out a deep sigh. You soothingly ran your fingers through her hair, something that always calmed her down. Eventually Gatrea fell asleep, but you ended up falling asleep with her. Zarkon decided to stop the movie and turn the tv off, deciding that it was time for bed. He was careful when picking you and Gatrea up, not wanting to wake either of you up as he carried you and your daughter to his and your bedroom; he didn't mind if Gatrea slept in between you and him for the night.

~ Alfor ~
As Lotarius slept peacefully in his bed he was dreaming about flying the Red Lion. His dream started out wonderful, but it quickly turned scary when he dreamed that he was fighting some kind of shadow monster that was trying to attack Altea. He immediately woke up when the monster killed you and his father, sitting up and looking around. Feeling scared, he got out of bed, left his room and ran to you and his father's bedroom, happy to see that the door was wide open. The lights were all off, and you and Alfor were sleeping, but he climbed onto and across the bed, laying in between you and Alfor.
"Stop moving around, my handsome Paladin." You quietly mumbled when you felt movement on the bed, thinking that it was your husband.
"Momma?" Lotarius quietly asked, sniffling and rubbing his tears away.
You opened your eyes when you heard your son's voice instead of your husband's, turning over and turning your bedside lamp on. You sat up, opening your arms and letting Lotarius hug you.
"What's wrong, Y/n?" Alfor questioned groggily as he woke up a little, hearing voices and sensing the light.
"I had a nightmare." Lotarius answered before you could say anything, burying his face against your chest, still frightened by his nightmare.
"What was it about?" You quietly asked Lotarius, trying to comfort him.
Lotarius looked up at you and told you all about his nightmare. Unable to sleep, Alfor sat up a little and listened as his son spoke. You never stopped hugging your son as he told you about how the shadow monster in his nightmare killed you and Alfor.
"Oh, Lotarius, nothing like that will ever happen; it was just a really bad dream." You calmly assured your son, not wanting him to be scared.
"We promise." Alfor added, feeling bad for his and your son; having nightmares were always scary, and he knew how his son felt.
"Can… Can I sleep with you and papa tonight?" Lotarius asked you curiously, too scared to go back to his own room.
"Yes, but only for tonight." You told him firmly, but kindly.
Alfor smiled as he lifted the blanket up a little, allowing Lotarius to get under it. You turned the light on your nightstand off before laying down a little, making enough room for your son to sleep. You whispered comforting things to Lotarius until he fell asleep, no longer in danger of having any more nightmares. Alfor fell even more in love with you as he watched you comfort his and your son; he wouldn't mind having another child with you in the future. However, at the moment, the three of you just peacefully slept.

~ Blaytz ~
After putting Iris to bed you and Blaytz went to your own bedroom, thankful that you both were finally alone. The two of you just barely made it to the bed as you clung onto each other, ready for a steamy night together. However, as things were getting heated, Iris was having a really bad dream. In her dream, you and Blaytz disappeared one day and she couldn't find either of you anywhere. She woke up in a cold sweat, breathing heavily as tears spilled down her cheeks.
Iris got out of bed and left her room, running to you and Blaytz' bedroom. Since the door was cracked open and the light was still on, she knew that you both were still awake. You and Blaytz were in the middle of making out when the bedroom door suddenly opened, causing you both to break the kiss and look to see who dared to interrupt such an intimate moment.
"What's wrong, Iris?" You asked your daughter as calmly as you could, wondering why she was awake.
Iris sniffled as she ran over to the large bed, managing to climb on. Blaytz got off of you, thankful that the two of you hadn't undressed each other yet. He was now worried about his and your daughter, also wondering why she was awake.
"I- I had a nightmare." Iris sniffled as she crawled across the bed, sitting in between you and her father.
"Don't worry, little cutie, you're safe now. What was your nightmare about?" Blaytz queried, looking down at his daughter and seeing that her cheeks were stained by tears.
"I- I dreamed that you and mommy disappeared and I couldn't find you both anywhere. Please daddy, I don't want you and mommy to leave me." Iris pleaded, more tears streaming out of her eyes and down her cheeks as she hugged her father.
"Oh, baby, your mommy and I would never leave you. We love you too much; you're our little princess." Blaytz assured his daughter calmly, gently hugging her.
You felt your heart nearly break as Iris told Blaytz about her nightmare. You joined in on the hug, whispering comforting words to your daughter, reassuring her that you and Blaytz would never leave her behind. You and Blaytz allowed her to cry, letting her get it out of her system. Eventually Iris fell asleep, but you and Blaytz didn't want to disturb her. The two of you decided to just go to bed, turning off the lamps on your nightstands before falling asleep; you both could always be intimate some other time.

~ Gyrgan ~
It was late at night when you and Gyrgan decided to finally go to bed after playing your favorite game together in the living room. No matter how much time passed, the two of you never stopped doing random fun things with each other. While passing Adu's bedroom, you both heard him crying, a scream following shortly after. You and Gyrgan thought something serious was going on, so you both burst into Adu's bedroom, quickly turning the bedroom light on. Adu was already sitting up, looking frightened.
"What's wrong, Adu? What's going on?" Gyrgan asked, looking around the room, but not seeing anything out of the ordinary.
"Momma. Dad. I had a nightmare, it was really scary." Adu said as he looked up at you and Gyrgan with tear filled eyes.
You and Gyrgan looked at each other before walking over to Adu's bed, the two of you kneeling down. Adu sniffled, wiping his tears away; he felt better now that you both were with him.
"Do you want to talk about it?" You calmly asked your frightened son, worried about him.
"O-okay… I dreamed that a scary man with glowing eyes came to our home and started killing everyone, including you and momma." Adu said, telling both you and Gyrgan about his nightmare.
"No one's going to come here and kill everyone. Rygnirath is a peaceful planet, and the guards would eliminate anyone who posed a threat." Gyrgan reassured Adu, his voice calm and gentle.
"Are… Are you sure?" Adu queried nervously, a few stray tears escaping his eyes.
"We're positive." You told Adu, smiling softly at him.
Adu sniffled again, feeling a lot better and less frightened. You and Gyrgan stayed with him for a while until he fell asleep, making sure that he was alright before leaving the room and turning the light off. Every toddler had nightmares at some point, just like everyone else, but neither of you expected your son to have such a bad one. After getting ready for bed, you and Gyrgan turned your bedside lights off and got under the covers together, tired after such a long day. The two of you planned on sleeping in the next morning.

~ Trigel ~
Astrid tossed and turned in her bed as a nightmare consumed the originally good dream she had been having. In her nightmare, there was a fire that started in the forest and was beginning to burn through the Palace. She was running through the smoky hallways, trying to find you and Trigel, but failing. It was when you and Trigel heard your crying that you both decided to find out what was going on. The two of you had been getting ready for bed, so a few more minutes of being awake wouldn't hurt.
"Astrid, wake up." You said quietly as you opened her bedroom door all the way, the light from the hallway giving off enough light.
"M-mama? Mommy?" Astrid asked, sitting up and looking at you.
"What's the matter?" Trigel questioned softly as she too walked into her daughter's room.
Astrid began crying again, so you and Trigel knelt down next to her bed. You and Trigel looked at each other, both of you knowing that your daughter had a nightmare.
"I had a nightmare where everything was on fire and I couldn't fi-find either of you." Astrid replied in a rush, tears now streaming down her cheeks.
"Oh Astrid, that will never happen. And if it did, your mama and I would make sure that you were safe with us." Trigel assured her daughter in a gentle tone, caressing her face.
"There are people who would stop a fire if it ever started." You told Astrid, leaning forward and lightly kissing her forehead.
"Promise?" Astrid asked nervously, wiping her tears away.
"We promise." Trigel promised Astrid calmly.
You and Trigel hugged Astrid, comforting her. Astrid fell asleep again fairly quickly once she settled down, feeling sleepy. After seeing both you and Trigel, she smiled in her sleep. You and Trigel quietly stood up and left Astrid's bedroom, cracking the door before heading to your own room. For the rest of the night, Astrid only had good dreams.
