When you give birth

~ Zarkon ~

Haggar had everything ready by the time Zarkon brought you to the infirmary. Your contractions were getting a little closer together which meant that you were in more pain. So, as you laid on a birthing bed while wearing something like a hospital gown Zarkon was sitting in a chair by your right side. Night passed and before you knew it, it was early morning. By now, you were getting closer to giving birth.

"How are you feeling, Y/n?" Zarkon asked you, yawning a little as he let you hold his right hand.

"How am I feeling? I'm going through something so painful that you couldn't handle it if it were in my place! I'm having to push out something almost the size of a watermelon and you dare ask me how I'm doing?!" You screeched, clenching your teeth.

"Maybe I should leave you to it..." Zarkon said, not wanting you to be mad at him.

"If you leave now I'm going to break every bone in your body later!" You practically growled, narrowing your eyes at him.

"I'll stay." Zarkon said quickly.

"That's better." You said, panting and breathing heavily.

Zarkon hated it when you got snippy, but at the moment he couldn't blame you. After all, you were getting ready to bring another living being and his hier into the world. Your water eventually broke and your daughter began shifting inside of you. Haggar got the stirrups ready and put your feet in them so that your legs were spread apart. When you let go of Zarkon's hand for a moment he decided to see what was going on.

"What the-? What is that?" Zarkon asked in shock when he saw what was once one of his favorite places on your body.

Haggar gave Zarkon a look that made him shut up. He returned to your side and gave you his right hand again. You squeezed his hand hard and whimpered in pain. Time no longer mattered to you; all you cared about was pushing your daughter out of your body.

"Alright my Empress, it's time to start pushing." Haggar said as she sat on a stool at the end of the bed.

"I'm scared." You told Zarkon.

"I know, so am I. I'm not going to leave your side." Zarkon said as calmly as he could, not wanting you to worry too much.

You took a deep breath and scrunched your face up as you pushed the first push, screaming through clenched teeth towards the end. During each contraction you pushed and in between you rested. You could feel your daughter shift with each push, but it was becoming more painful.

"It hurts! It burns!" You moaned painfully.

"I know kitten, I know." Zarkon said sympathetically.

"No you don't because you can't get pregnant! You did this to me!" You yelled at him, tears streaming down your red face.

"I'm sorry..." Zarkon said awkwardly, wincing as you squeezed his hand even harder.

"I hate you!" You yelled, giving another long push.

"I know, but you'll love me later." Zarkon said, knowing that you were only saying that you hated him because of the pain.

You screamed loudly as you pushed over and over again, your breaths becoming uneven. The pain became so bad that your lower half felt numb. After several more pushes, a tiny bit of blood loss, lots of unbearable pain and one last scream from you, a loud cry was heard. You cried when you heard your daughter wailing loudly, letting Zarkon's hand go. Zarkon got up so that he could cut the umbilical cord, crying a little when he saw your daughter.

Haggar gave him a cloth to wipe his hands off on while she took your legs out of the stirrups and took your daughter to the back room. Zarkon sat down and kissed your sweaty forehead, neither of you saying anything. A few minutes later Haggar came back and gave you your daughter.

"Well?" Zarkon asked Haggar nervously.

"They're both healthy, although Y/n list a little blood. It's not enough to be concerned about." Haggar told Zarkon before she gave you both some privacy.

Once she was gone, you and Zarkon turned your attention to your daughter. She had your hair color, Zarkon's skin color and his facial features except for her nose. She was also fairly small, only about nineteen inches long.

"She's perfect." You said, your throat a little sore from all the screaming.

"She is. I can't believe that she's finally here." Zarkon whispered, unable to look away from his new daughter.

"We should really name her." You said as your daughter curled up against your breasts.

"Gatrea." Zarkon whispered, liking the name.

"What?" You asked him, not quite hearing what he said.

"Her name should be Gatrea." Zarkon told you, just loud enough for you to hear.

"Gatrea. I like it." You said, saying it out loud and liking the way it sounded.

"Welcome, princess Gatrea." Zarkon whispered/purred to his and your daughter.

Gatrea opened her mouth and let out a squeaky whimper before closing it. You couldn't help but cry in pure happiness and love. It would be around a week before Gatrea opened her eyes, so you would have to wait to see who's eye color she had. Zarkon watched as you uncovered your perfectly full breasts and let Gatrea latch onto your left nipple so that she could have her first meal. Now that your daughter was in your arms you were happy, and you could tell that Zarkon was too.

~ Alfor ~

After Alfor got you to the infirmary and got you into a hospital gown he carefully laid you on a bed with a big fluffy pillow to perch your upper half up on. A servant brought you your snack so that you could finish it. You were scared about giving birth, but with Alfor by your side, the doctor and a nurse helping out it reassured you that everything would okay. Hours passed and your contractions got closer together, meaning that you would be in more pain.

"Alfor, am I going to make it through this?" You asked your husband who was right by your side.

"Of course you will, Y/n. You don't have to worry about dying. If something goes wrong the doctor has a healing pod ready. But you're a strong woman, I believe that you can bring our son into the world." Alfor reassured you, leaning over so that he could kiss your forehead.

"I hope so." You said, letting out a shaky breath.

Alfor gave you one of his hands and you took it, lacing your fingers with his. When your water eventually broke the doctor put your feet in the stirrups on either side of the bed. With each contraction the pain became much worse. Your son was obviously ready to be born, but the process of giving birth was slow.

"It's time to start pushing." The doctor said as she sat on a stool that was at the end of the bed.

"You can do it, Y/n. Just remember to breathe. I'm here for you." Alfor said softly, giving you a reassuring smile.

You nodded your head and took a deep breath, your face scrunching up as you tried pushing for the first time. It was painful, but you pushed until you couldn't push any more. In between contractions you rested, but with each and every contraction, you had to push.

"Y/n, are you-?" Alfor asked, not sure if he should continue his sentence.

"I'm okay, I'm okay…" You panted, your whole body becoming sweaty.

"You're doing good. Just a few more pushes and he'll be born." Alfor said, encouraging you to keep pushing.

You nodded your head before pushing again, nearly breaking his hand and screaming loudly. You gave a few more pushes, feeling your son trying to exit your body. There was an intense burning pain in your lady parts, then the pressure was gone and the sound of a baby crying filled the room. You let go of Alfor's hand so that he could cut the umbilical cord. He grabbed a cloth to wipe his hands off and returned to your side after removing your feet from the stirrups while the doctor took your son to the back room to make sure he was healthy and clean him off.

"You did it, Y/n." Alfor said, smiling at you.

"Yeah, I did. I'm exhausted, but I want to see our son." You said, panting in exhaustion.

Alfor sat there, watching you catch your breath. As soon as the doctor placed your son in your arms and announced that you both were healthy she gave you and Alfor some privacy. Your son was the same length as a typical newborn baby. He had your hair color, your nose, Alfor's facial features, his Altean markings and white hair.

"He's perfect." You whispered, looking at your new son.

"Yes, he is. Just like you." Alfor said quietly, tears of joy forming in his eyes.

"And you." You said, smiling at him.

Alfor cried a little when your son opened his eyes, showing you both that he had his father's eye color. Your son looked at both you and Alfor before looking at his new surroundings.

"We should name him Lotarius." Alfor said softly.

"Lotarius. It's perfect." You said, smiling as you lightly rubbed your son's soft hair with your fingers.

Your arms were getting tired, so Alfor reached over and carefully picked up Lotarius. He couldn't believe that you both finally had a son and he had an heir. You were still extremely tired, but you couldn't fall asleep because you were also excited to finally be a mom.

~ Blaytz ~

When Blaytz got you to the infirmary the doctor helped him get you into something similar to a hospital gown before they laid you on a bed with stirrups and pillows to prop your upper half on. Several hours passed and your contractions became worse and worse. Blaytz sat in a chair next to where you laid so that he could be there for you. As the pain got worse the doctor sat on a stool, put your feet in the stirrups and got in between your legs.

"Alright your majesty, it's time to start pushing." The doctor said as calmly as she could.

"I can't! I can't do this!" You cried in agony, just wanting the pain to be done and over with.

"You can do it, Y/n. I know you can. I'm right here with you." Blaytz said soothingly, letting you hold his left hand.

"O-okay... I'll try." You panted, willing to give it a try.

Blaytz' smile faltered when you squeezed his hand and let out a loud scream of pain, trying to push your daughter out. He helped you with your breathing exercises. With each push the pain became worse and worse; you now knew why giving birth was referred to as the 'ring of fire'. Pushing your daughter out into the world was far more exhausting than you imagined, but you wanted her out of your body.

"That's it, Y/n, you're doing good. So good. Just work through the pain." Blaytz told you, cheering you on.

"How dare you tell me to work through the pain when you haven't even been close to experiencing anything like it!" You yelled sharply while pushing, taking a short break in between pushes.

"I know cutie, I know. It'll be over soon." Blaytz said, wincing as you squeezed his left hand harder.

"It's your fault that I'm in pain because you couldn't keep it in your pants! You're nothing but a sperm infested space shark!" You yelled, squeezing his hand to distract yourself from the pain.

"Yeah, but you were kind of begging for it, so..." Blaytz said, smirking down at you.

"Well then, maybe next time we have a kid you can be the one to go through this!" You yelled in between contractions.

"Uh... No thank you..." Blaytz said awkwardly, not wanting to go through what you had been through and what you were currently going through.

You wanted to say something, but it only came out as a scream of pure pain. Blaytz felt you nearly crush his hand in a death grip as you began pushing again. Time seemed to disappear as you focused on pushing. Blaytz kept softly talking to you, trying to help you through your pain. After one last big push and a loud cry of pain you felt your daughter leave your body and a soft cry was heard.

Your daughter cried when she was finally brought into the world. You let go of Blaytz' hand so that he could have the honor of cutting the umbilical cord. The doctor gave Blaytz a cloth to wipe his hands on before she took your feet out of the stirrups and took your daughter into the back room while Blaytz returned to your side.

"You did it, cutie. You brought our baby girl into the world." Blaytz said softly, kissing your forehead.

"Yeah, I did." You panted, the pain slowly fading.

While Blaytz was comforting you, the doctor was cleaning your daughter and making sure that she was healthy. Once your daughter was put in a diaper and wrapped in a soft pink blanket the doctor brought her to you, placed her in your arms and temporarily left the room. Your daughter had light blue skin like Blaytz, a head full of H/c hair that had feelers like Blaytz', but lighter and your facial features and she was only about seventeen inches long. You couldn't believe it; your daughter was finally in your arms. You parted the hospital gown to expose your breasts.

"I can't believe it, she's finally here. It was so worth it. She's so perfect." You sniffled, looking at your tiny daughter.

"Yeah, she is perfect, just like you." Blaytz said, feeling emotional as he looked at his and your very own baby girl.

"I just can't get over the fact that she's here." You said as tears of happiness slid down your face.

"Neither can I. What should we name her? I was thinking Iris, but you were the one who was pregnant." Blaytz said quietly.

"I think Iris is perfect." You said, liking the name.

Blaytz smiled as he kissed your forehead again. Iris opened her light gray eyes, looking up at you and Blaytz. You cried a little more when her eyes opened.

"Hi there baby cutie, I'm your daddy and you're being held by your mommy." Blaytz said softly, feeling himself cry as his heart nearly burst from the happiness.

Iris looked at Blaytz, then her gaze shifted to you. She began fussing, so you brought her closer to your right breast. She immediately latched on and began having her very first meal. Blaytz wiped his tears away as Iris began having her first meal. Through all the blood, sweat, pain and tears it was all worth it in the end.

~ Gyrgan ~

It wasn't long before it was time for your C-section. The doctor put up a curtain up so that you wouldn't see what was going on while one of the nurses made sure that you were drugged up so that you wouldn't feel anything and you were staying alive. As promised, Gyrgan stayed by your side through the entire process. You lost track of time, but when you heard your son crying for the first time you began crying too. While a nurse took your son to the back room the doctor put everything back inside of you, stitched and cleaned you up and put some disinfectant over your stitches before covering your lower half up and removing the curtain.

"You and the prince are healthy, your Majesty. We have a healing pod ready for after the prince imprints on you and has his first meal." The doctor said, giving you and Gyrgan the good news.

"Thank you." Gyrgan told the doctor.

The doctor smiled and nodded before he went to the back room with the nurses. A few moments later one of the nurses brought your son out and gave him to you before going back to the back room.

"You did it Y/n. You made it." Gyrgan said happily, smiling down at you.

"Yeah, I did. I'm exhausted, though." You said, trying to stay awake.

Gyrgan turned his gaze to his and your son. He was small for what was normal on Rygnirath, but big for a human baby. He looked mostly Rygnirathian, but he had your skin tone and your hair color.

"I can't believe it, he's finally here." You said as you held your son up a little so that he could have his first meal.

"Neither can I. What do you want to name him?" Gyrgan asked you softly.

"Adu." You said, yawning a little.

"Adu… I think that's a wonderful name." Gyrgan said, liking the name.

You looked down at your son and smiled, happy that he was finally born. After Adu was finished with his first dinner and opened up his eyes, which matched Gyrgan's, he looked up at you. You handed him to Gyrgan when the doctor came to get you. Gyrgan promised you that he would take care of Adu until you were fully healed. Thankfully, you would only be in the healing pod for about two days.

~ Trigel ~

You panted and clenched your teeth as you laid on the hospital bed in the infirmary. Trigel sat by your right side and let you hold her left hand, wanting to distract you from the pain. The doctor had already put you in a hospital gown and put your feet in the stirrups at the end of the bed. You didn't know how long it had been since your water broke, but you hoped that the birth would be quick.

"It hurts so bad!" You groaned in pain, your contractions getting worse.

"I know, Y/n, but it'll be over soon." Trigel said calmly.

The doctor sat on a stool at the end of the bed, in between your legs, getting ready to catch your daughter when she was born. You screamed loudly as soon as you tried pushing for the first time, the intense burning pain making it unbearable for you. With every contraction, you pushed, and you rested in between.

"It burns like I'm on fire!" You cried out in pure agony.

"I know, I know, but you'll be done before you know it. I'm here for you. Everything will turn out alright and you won't be in pain anymore." Trigel said sympathetically, thankful that she wasn't the one giving birth.

"No, you don't know! You wouldn't know how this feels until you go through it! Next time we have a kid, you're going to be the one who gets pregnant!" You yelled, giving another push.

"Yes, lovey." Trigel said, agreeing with you for the time being.

You squeezed your eyes shut and gritted your teeth, pushing again. With each push your daughter got closer to coming out into the world. You could feel her head pressed against your entrance, but she was being a little stubborn. After one particularly hard push and a loud scream of pain you felt your daughter's head pop out of your body, the rest coming shortly after. However, you didn't hear her crying.

The doctor cut the umbilical cord and got your feet out of the stirrups, knowing exactly what was wrong. She was quick to get the new princess to the back room.

"Why isn't she crying? What's wrong with my daughter?!" You cried out as the doctor got up and carried her into the back room.

Trigel was a little worried when her and your daughter didn't cry when she was born. She hoped that she wasn't dead. You were sobbing, thinking that something was wrong with your daughter. However, a few moments later a loud cry was finally heard from the back room. Then, the doctor brought your daughter back in a soft light pink blanket and placed her in your arms.

Your daughter stopped crying as soon as she sensed you cradling her in your arms. Trigel was relieved that her and your daughter wasn't dead.

"The princess had too much fluid in her throat and nose and couldn't breathe. She's going to be fine now. So are you, Queen Y/n." The doctor said before going to the back room so that you and Trigel could have some time alone.

You couldn't help but cry in happiness when you looked down at your daughter. She was only about nineteen inches long and she looked like you, but she had Trigel's hair and skin color. Trigel was overjoyed now that she finally had the perfect daughter with you.

"She's so beautiful. The pain was worth it." You sniffled, letting your daughter hold one of your fingers.

"Yes, she is. When I married you I thought that my life was complete, but now that we have a daughter I've realized that I was wrong, at the time. I couldn't be happier right now. I love you and our daughter so much." Trigel said, kissing your forehead.

"I love you too" You said, unable to tear your gaze away from your daughter.

"What should we name her?" Trigel asked you curiously.

"Astrid." You said, having already come up with the perfect name.

"Astrid. It's perfect." Trigel said, liking the name.

Astrid let out a tiny yawn as she opened her eyes for the first time. Her eyes looked like Trigel's, but she had your eye shape. You opened your hospital gown so that Astrid could have her first meal. Trigel couldn't voice how happy she was in that moment, but you could tell with the look of love she had.
