When one of your kids gets hurt
~ Zarkon ~
As Gatrea started getting older, she began wanting to train with her father who was training a few new pupils; she might have been a princess, but that didn't mean that she was a damsel in distress. You were a little nervous about letting your oldest daughter train with her father and his new pupils, but Zarkon reassured you that she would be alright. So, once every week, Gatrea skipped a day of princess lessons with her Dayak so that she could spend the day training with her father and the other young pupils who were around her age. One day while the rest of your daughters, aside from Angela, were with their Dayak learning their lessons, Gatrea had accidentally tripped on a rock, cut the left knee of her pants open and scraped her left knee.
"Owwww!" Gatrea groaned loudly as she sat on the ground, looking at her scraped knee as it began to bleed a little; it wasn't anything major, but it did sting a little.
"Are you alright, Gatrea?" Zarkon asked his oldest daughter as he rushed to her side and knelt down in front of her.
"Yeah, I'm okay, but I scraped my left knee. Can you take me to mom so that she can help me fix my knee before it gets infected?" Gatrea queried, wanting to get back to what she was doing, but not wanting her scrape to get infected.
"I'm more than capable of cleaning and bandaging your knee." Zarkon told Gatrea matter-of-factly, feeling a little insulted that his own daughter thought he wasn't able to take care of a simple scrape.
"Okay, but we still need to go inside." Gatrea reminded her father, looking up at him.
Zarkon put Sendak, who was officially a Commander, in charge of teaching the new pupils battle techniques while he was away. He carefully picked Gatrea up in his arms before standing up and carrying her to the palace. Gatrea wasn't afraid to be seen as vulnerable every so often since she would never be seen as weak. On their way to the main bathroom, you saw your husband carrying your oldest daughter; you just put Angela down for her nap, so you finally had time to rest.
"What's wrong?" You asked your husband as you walked over to him, not yet noticing Gatrea's scraped knee.
"Gatrea scraped her left knee after tripping on a rock. I'm going to clean her wound and bandage it." Zarkon answered in a calm voice, not wanting you to worry.
"I need a new pair of pants too since the left knee of mine accidentally ripped." Gatrea added, knowing that the knee of her pants would need to be mended.
"You let our oldest daughter get hurt?!" You asked your husband in disbelief; you had a feeling that your oldest daughter would somehow get hurt.
"I'm fine, really." Gatrea told you; her scrape wasn't too painful and she didn't want you to be worried about her too much.
"If you're sure, but please be more careful in the future." You chided, looking at your oldest daughter.
"Okay mom, I'll be careful." Gatrea responded, her pointed ears lowering a little.
You sighed, knowing that you couldn't stop your daughters from getting minor injuries every so often. You were feeling a little sleepy, so you decided to go take a nap; your husband was more than capable of cleaning and dressing a minor scrape. After you left to go take a nap, Zarkon proceeded to carry Gatrea to the main bathroom where he sat her down on the counter and got the first aid kit. Usually you were the one who bandaged your daughters' boo-boos, but Zarkon knew how to do it too. Before going back outside, Zarkon let Gatrea go to her room so that she could put a new pair of pants on. For the rest of the day, Gatrea was careful not to trip on any more rocks.

~ Alfor ~
After eating dinner and dessert, you, your husband and your children went to go relax in the living room like usual. Alazu didn't have to worry about homework and Lotarius was good at doing his homework on his own, so you and Alfor were helping Fallara with hers since she was having a little trouble figuring something out. You didn't quite understand Altean homework, but you did your best to help anyway. Alazu was playing with one of her favorite plushies while watching something on the tv. Lotarius was feeling a little sleepy, so when he turned the page of the book he was reading, he accidentally got a paper cut.
"Ouch!" Lotarius quietly yelped as he looked at his paper cut; it wasn't too bad, but it stung.
"What's wrong, Lotarius?" You asked your son when he yelped, hoping that he was alright.
"I got a paper cut. It's not too bad, but it stings." Lotarius answered as he looked at you, holding his right pointer finger up.
"Do you want me to get you a bandaid?" Alfor queried in an alert tone, ready to help his and your son.
"Yes, please." Lotarius replied, the stinging sensation on his finger getting worse.
Alfor got up off of the couch and walked out of the living room, going to the main bathroom where the first aid kit was kept. Lotarius' hand began to shake a little, but you tried distracting your son by talking to him about how he was doing in school and how his friends were doing. You obviously knew that Allura was doing well since you saw her earlier that day when Coran and Melenor were in a meeting with Alfor. Speaking of your husband, he quickly returned to the living room.
"Alright Lotarius, hold your finger out." Alfor calmly instructed as he sat next to his son.
"I'm sorry for getting a paper cut, father." Lotarius apologized while holding his injured finger out towards his father.
"Paper cuts happen to everyone at some point. When I was a boy, I had many after reading books and doing homework." Alfor assured his son; almost every time he read a book or did homework when he was a kid, he got a paper cut.
Lotarius felt a little better knowing that his father once got as many paper cuts as he was getting as of late. Alfor put some disinfectant on the tiny cut before putting the bandaid over it. With the bandaid covering his paper cut, Lotarius' cut no longer stung. Alfor was happy that he could help his and your son; Lotarius was growing up quickly and soon he wouldn't need help with very much. You smiled as you watched your husband put a bandaid on your son's paper cut; you chose such a wonderful husband.

~ Blaytz ~
Back when Lyra and Blaze were two years old, they got into a lot of trouble together; Blaze got into more trouble than his twin sister did, though. One afternoon while Iris was at school, you, Blaytz and your twins were having a picnic lunch in the garden. The garden was a fairly safe place, but you and your husband still kept an eye on your mischievous twins. Lyra was sitting in between you and Blaytz, happily munching on a peanut butter sandwich while Blaze was running around the garden, having the time of his life. Unfortunately, he wasn't looking where he was going and tripped over something, falling face first on the ground; you and Blaytz ran over to your son when you both heard him scream.
"What happened, Blaze? Are you alright?" You asked your son while your husband carefully picked him up; you were horrified when you saw that his nose was bleeding a little.
"I- I was wunning and I twiped on something and fell down!" Blaze cried louder, his nose hurting a little more as it bled; it wasn't bleeding too badly and it wasn't bent out of shape, so it most likely wasn't broken.
Before you could say anything else, Blaytz stood up and rushed back inside the palace, heading straight to the nearest bathroom. Lyra heard the commotion and followed you inside, wanting to know what happened to her twin brother. As soon as Blaytz was in the bathroom and sat Blaze on the counter, he got a cold, damp washcloth and carefully held it against his son's bleeding nose. Blaze was still crying despite the pain, fat tears running down his face. A few moments later, you and Lyra walked into the bathroom.
"How's he doing?" You asked your husband with a nervous tone while holding an ice pack.
"His nose isn't broken, but it's going to be sore for a while." Blaytz answered as calmly as he could; he hated seeing one of his and your children get hurt.
"I'm glad that it's not broken, but I hate seeing one of our babies in pain." You said in a sympathetic tone, feeling bad for your son; tripping and falling was never fun for anyone.
Lyra was worried about her brother, so she gave him his favorite toy in hopes it would help cheer him up. Blaze took the toy and held it, settling down a little while his father helped make the bleeding stop. It took a while, but Blaze's nose eventually stopped bleeding. You handed the ice pack to your husband who gave it to your son; Blaze winced when he put the ice pack on his face. From that day on, Blaze learned to watch where he was walking and running.

~ Gyrgan ~
After a series of unfortunate events, you and Gyrgan had to rush Gemma straight to the palace infirmary. Gemma, who had been receiving riding lessons from her father, accidentally fell off of the yak-like creature she was going to ride and broke her right arm. Adu and Gavin were following you and their father as best as they could through the palace; both of them were worried about their sister. As Gyrgan cradled his daughter in his arms as carefully as he could, she was crying from how much pain she was in. Thankfully, the infirmary wasn't too far away.
"What seems to be the problem?" The doctor asked you and Gyrgan as soon as you both rushed into the infirmary, noticing how Gemma was in a lot of pain.
"Gemma might have broken her right arm during her riding lesson." You told the doctor while Gyrgan carefully placed Gemma down on the examination table.
"Alright, let me have a look at her. Nurse, get the healing pod ready." The doctor told you before speaking to the nurse, grabbing his scanner before walking over to the examination table.
You followed the doctor over to the examination table, hoping that your daughter would be alright. Adu and Gavin soon arrived and ran over to where their sister was laying. Gyrgan was berating himself for not being there to catch his daughter before she fell and landed on the ground.
"Am I going to be okay?" Gemma asked you and her father in a scared tone, fat tears streaming down her face.
"You'll be alright, I promise." Gyrgan assured his and your daughter, feeling guilty for not preventing her from getting hurt.
Gemma felt a little better after her father told her that she was going to be okay despite her right arm hurting badly. The doctor had her lay her broken arm out on the table so that he could scan her appendage. Gemma cried throughout the scanning process, but it was done within only a few minutes.
"It would be faster for Gemma's arm to heal if she was put in the healing pod. I just want to make sure that you both are alright with that, first." The doctor told you and Gyrgan before showing you both the x-ray scan of your daughter's broken arm.
"Yes, that's fine; anything to help her heal quicker." Gyrgan responded after looking down at you; you gave your husband a look of approval since you wanted Gemma to quickly get better, too.
"Alright. I'm going to put her arm in a temporary cast so that it will heal correctly." The doctor said as he put his scanner down before going to get the supplies he needed.
Gemma was scared, so you let her hold one of your hands with her left hand. She screamed and cried out in pain as the doctor reset her right arm before putting it in a temporary cast. You cried along with your daughter while trying to remind her that soon she would be all better; you hated seeing one of your children in so much pain and so did Gyrgan. After she was ready, the doctor picked your daughter up and put her in the healing pod, setting the timer for one week. After Gemma came out of the healing pod, you and Gyrgan were going to have a bowl of her favorite ice cream for her to eat.

~ Trigel ~
One evening while you and Trigel were making dinner together, you both were letting your three older children help. Trigel was wearing a baby sling so that she could hold Harlow and help out around the kitchen at the same time. Once every week, you and Trigel gave the royal chef the night off so that you both could cook dinner together. Your children always enjoyed helping out when it came to making dinner as a family. Harlow peeked out from the baby sling so that she could see what was going on.
"Astrid, can you please get the sauce out of the fridge?" You asked your older daughter as you stood at the counter, not looking away as you chopped something on the wooden cutting board.
"Yes, mama." Astrid answered before she walked over to the refrigerator and opened it, getting the sauce you needed.
"Do you need the big bowl?" Trigel queried while looking in your direction, briefly taking a break from stirring something on the stove.
"If you could, please." You told your wife; you stopped chopping what you were cutting so that you could look at her.
Trigel grabbed the large bowl off of one of the kitchen shelves and took it over to where you were standing. Veldar wanted to help out, so he took the step stool over to the stove and stepped onto it. As he looked in the pot and saw some food cooking, he grabbed the wooden spoon so that he could stir it. Unfortunately, as he leaned forward and placed his left hand on the top of the stove, burning it a little.
"Aahhhhg!" Veldar screamed in pain when he burned his left hand, quickly pulling it off the stove and dropping the spoon.
"Veldar, what happened?" You asked your older son as you and Trigel rushed over to him, both of you startled by his pained scream.
"I p-put my left hand on the stove and burned it! I- I didn't mean to burn my hand! It hurts so bad!" Veldar cried as he stepped off of the step stool, showing you and his mother his burnt hand.
Trigel went to get a cold, damp cloth while you ran out of the kitchen and to the main bathroom where the first aid kit was. Trigel put the cold cloth on Veldar's burn, thankful that it wasn’t too bad. Harlow was a little startled from all the commotion while her older brother cried from the pain. Astrid and Taj were a little startled and tried helping Trigel calm their brother down. A few moments later, you came back with the first aid kit.
"I'm sorry for putting my hand on the stove, mom. It was an accident." Veldar cried as he gave you his burnt hand.
"I know, but please be more careful in the future. Your mother and I don’t want to see you or your siblings get hurt." You told Veldar as you carefully dabbed some aloe vera cream on his burn.
"I'll try to be more careful, I promise." Veldar sniffled, tears still running down his face as you began to dress his slightly burnt hand.
You knew just how your older son felt; you had burnt your hand on the stove before. You carefully wrapped a non-stick bandage around Veldar's hand, feeling guilty every time he winced in pain. It would be a week or so before his hand got better, so you and Trigel would help him do whatever he needed help with. After you finished bandaging Veldar's hand, you went to go put the aloe vera cream back in the first aid kit. Veldar decided to wait in the dining room for dinner, wanting to rest his hand; thankfully, it wasn't long before your whole family was eating dinner in the dining room.
