Breaking up a fight
~ Zarkon ~
During Zia and Krella's most recent birthday, you and Zarkon gave them each a new doll. Krella and Zia loved their new dolls since their dolls were also twins, just like them. Kuhuv was a little jealous that her sisters got new dolls; she really wanted to play with them, but she didn't think that either of her sisters would let her play with them since she was two years younger. Being only five years old, it didn't occur to Kuhuv that she could have just asked one of her older sisters if she could play with one of the dolls. So, one day when Krella was playing with her new doll in the playroom, Kuhuv ran in, took the doll and ran out again.
"Hey, get back here you little thief!" Krella yelled when Kuhuv took her doll, standing up before she started running after the doll thief.
Kuhuv ran as fast as she could through the hallways, taking left and right turns when necessary. Krella was practically on her younger sister's heels; she was surprised at how fast a five year old could run. After running past the living room and seeing you and Zarkon, Krella decided to do the mature thing and tell you and her father what happened.
"Mooommm, Kuhuv took my new doll." Krella called out right before walking into the living room, her legs feeling a little tired after running so fast.
"Hold on. Kuhuv, get in here now!" You sighed when you looked at one of your twins before calling out for Kuhuv.
Kuhuv heard you call out for her, so she stopped running and walked into the living room. She didn't know what you wanted, so she hid Krella's doll behind her back. When she saw Krella glaring at her as she walked into the living room, she smirked evilly. Zarkon decided not to get involved unless things got serious.
"Yes, mommy?" Kuhuv asked you innocently, smirking as she glanced at her older sister.
"Do you have Krella's doll, Kuhuv?" You questioned in a slightly firm tone, wanting to get to the bottom of things.
"No." Kuhuv answered in a simple tone, her smirk disappearing as she looked at you.
"Yes you do!" Krella accused angrily, wanting her doll back.
"No I don't." Kuhuv argued, sending her older sister a slight glare.
"Yes you do! You're hiding her behind your back!" Krella argued back, a growl making its way up her throat.
"That's enough, you two! Kuhuv, give Krella's doll back to her." Zarkon snapped, not wanting two of his and your daughters to get into a physical fight.
Krella and Kuhuv looked at their father, neither of them saying anything when they saw the serious look on his face. A deep growl rumbled in the back of Zarkon's throat; it wasn't enough to scare them, but it was enough to warn them not to continue arguing.
"Fine, here's your stupid doll." Kuhuv sighed before she threw the doll at Krella who caught the toy.
"Thanks for getting my doll back, mom and daddy." Krella thanked you and her father happily, turning around and walking out of the living room; she knew that she wouldn't be blamed for the whole situation.
Kuhuv looked down at the floor, knowing that she was going to be in trouble for taking Krella's doll. You and Zarkon looked at each other for a moment, whispering to each other. Compromises could always be made between Krella and Kuhuv later, but for now, Kuhuv was in trouble.
"Now, before you go sit in the time out corner, why did you take Krella's doll?" You asked Kuhuv in a firmer tone than earlier, crossing your arms over your chest.
"Because I-" Kuhuv began to say before she was cut off by her father.
"Don't say because you wanted to, young lady!" Zarkon spoke firmly as he cut his daughter off, not wanting to hear any excuses.
"Fine, you really want to know? I took Krella's doll because I really wanted to play with it, and play with her, but she got mad so I took her doll and ran away from her, and that's when she screamed for you, mommy…" Kuhuv snapped before she explained her true motives, looking down at her feet after she finished speaking.
"Oh, honey, maybe you should have just asked Krella if you could play with her instead of taking her doll, don't you think that would have been the better solution?" You calmly asked your five year old daughter, not wanting to get angry at her.
"Yeah, that does sound better." Kuhuv answered in a guilty tone, feeling bad for what she did before she went to the time out corner and sat down.
You and Zarkon were disappointed at Kuhuv for taking Krella's doll, but you both were glad that she was able to see that she was wrong to do so. However, you both had her sit in the time out corner for the entire fifteen minutes since she still needed to be punished. Kuhuv thought of what she did and it made her feel even more guilty about doing it. After her time out, you and Zarkon assured Kuhuv that she was forgiven. Later on, Krella forgave Kuhuv and agreed to play with some dolls, including her new one, with her younger sister.

~ Alfor ~
Since it was one of Fallara's friend's birthday, her friend's mom brought homemade cookies to school and everyone in Fallara's class got one. The cookies looked so delicious and she didn't want to eat it right away, so she decided to put it in her lunchbox and save it for after dinner. After Alfor brought your kids home, Fallara showed you the cookie and told you that she wanted to eat it after dinner. You had recently given birth to another baby boy, so Alfor held Asher so that you could put Fallara's cookie in a container. Alazu was jealous that her sister had received a delicious looking cookie earlier and she didn't, even though she wasn't even in her older sister's class.
She was determined to have the cookie, no matter how she got it. All throughout dinner, Fallara was patient enough to wait for her cookie. Alfor had Asher in Lotarius' old baby sling so that you were able to feed yourself without having to hold the newest addition of your family. By the time dinner was all eaten, Alazu came up with a plan to get the cookie. Alfor had to step out of the dining room for a moment so that he could change Asher's diaper; you fed your baby shortly before dinner, so nature would take its course sooner or later.
"Hey, Fallara, can I have a bite of your cookie?" Alazu politely asked her older sister, deciding to just ask and see if asking nicely would work.
"No, it's mine." Fallara answered after you gave her the container that held her cookie.
Alazu pouted, really wanting a bite of the delicious looking cookie. She made sure that you and Lotarius weren't looking at her before she made her move. Right as Fallara took the cookie out of the container, Alazu reached over and yanked her sister's hair, causing Fallara to yell in pain and surprise.
"Owwww! Hey, stop that!" Fallara yelled in pain when her hair was suddenly yanked; thankfully her cookie landed on the table.
"Alazu, let go of your sister's hair right now or else!" You raised your voice as you looked at your younger daughter when you heard Fallara yell; you were beyond shocked that Alazu would yank her sister's hair.
"But I want her cookie!" Alazu complained after letting go of her sister's hair and looking at you.
Fallara glared at Alazu before grabbing her fallen cookie off of the table, quickly eating it before her younger sister could take it. The cookie was given to hers by a friend, but she was worried about being scolded for not sharing it with Alazu. Lotarius was shocked at his youngest sister's actions, not expecting her to pull on her older sister's hair because she wanted her cookie. Alfor, who had changed Asher as quickly and efficiently as he could, rushed back into the dining room after hearing Fallara's yell. Before he could say anything, you began to scold Alazu.
"Alazu, you do not pull other people's hair when they have something you want. That was Fallara's cookie and you need to respect her decision of not wanting to share it. Now, I want you to do the right thing and apologize to her." You firmly told Alazu, glancing at Fallara for a moment as you finished speaking.
"Fine. Fallara, I'm sorry for yanking on your hair because I wanted your cookie." Alazu huffed before looking at her older sister and apologizing for pulling on her hair.
"I- I forgive you." Fallara hesitantly responded, knowing that it was better to forgive her younger sister rather than hold a grudge against her.
Alazu smiled a little as she looked at Fallara, thankful that she was forgiven. However, when Alfor sat down on the chair next to yours and cleared his throat, she knew that she was in trouble for her earlier actions. As a punishment, Alazu had to sit in the time out corner for fifteen minutes and skip that night's dessert. Alazu was sad that she had to miss dessert, but she knew that she deserved her punishment. With how guilty she felt for pulling on Fallara's hair, she had learned her lesson to respect others when they said no to something.

~ Blaytz ~
While Brisa was doing her homework in her bedroom, she got hungry and decided to go get a snack. You and Blaytz were alright with your kids eating in their rooms since you both taught them early on not to make a mess. When Brisa got to the kitchen, she was undecided of what to eat. There was no doubt about it, you and her father were definitely good at keeping a wide variety of different snacks from across the universe. When Brisa selected the box of goldfish crackers, Islu walked into the kitchen and saw what her older sister was pouring into a bowl.
"Hi Brisa, can I have some fishy crackers too?" Islu asked her sister with excitement, speaking louder than she intended to.
Brisa yelped loudly and accidentally dropped the box of goldfish crackers, causing some of them to spill all over the floor. She thought that she was alone, so suddenly hearing Islu's voice startled her. Islu covered her mouth with both of her hands when she saw Brisa spill the crackers.
"Islu, look what you made me do!" Brisa angrily yelled at Islu; she was mad about making a mess that she didn't want to make.
"I'm sorry." Islu apologized, feeling sorry for startling her older sister.
"You made me spill the crackers and it's going to take me forever to clean them up!" Brisa snapped at her younger sister, looking down at the mess.
"I told you, I'm sorry!" Islu screamed at Brisa, feeling frustrated that she wouldn't forgive her; it (was) an accident, after all.
What started as a minor argument ended up becoming a full out screaming match, both girls yelling at each other. While you and Blaytz were on your way to the kitchen, you both were very concerned when you heard Islu and Brisa screaming at each other. The two of you rushed into the kitchen and saw what your daughters were screaming about; there were goldfish crackers all over the floor.
"Brisa, Islu, which one of you made that mess?!" Blaytz firmly questioned, raising his voice a little; he rarely raised his voice while talking to your kids, only doing so when they were fighting.
"Brisa did it!" Islu said accusingly, pointing at her older sister.
"Islu made me do it! All I wanted was a snack, but then she startled me and made me drop the goldfish!" Brisa explained loudly, glaring at her younger sister.
"Islu, apologize to your sister. Brisa, you too. There will be no fighting in this palace, understood?" You asked Brisa and Islu sternly, raising your own voice a little as you ordered them to apologize to each other.
"I'm sorry for startling you." Islu muttered to Brisa; she still felt bad for frightening her older sister, but she was still upset about not getting an apology earlier.
"Yeah, ms too. I'm sorry for yelling at you." Brisa sighed out her apology, knowing that she couldn't stay mad at Islu forever.
You and Blaytz smiled when Brisa and Islu apologized to each other before hugging it out. They were still in trouble for screaming at each other, so you and Blaytz decided that not having dessert the next evening after dinner was punishment enough. Brisa already knew what to do about the mess, so she picked up the box of goldfish crackers and closed it before getting the small broom and dustpan. The mess was partially Islu's fault, so she decided to help her sister pick the fallen fish crackers up off of the floor by sweeping them into the dustpan. After they both left the kitchen, Brisa going back to her room and Islu returning to the living room, you and your husband were able to get a snack of your own to share.

~ Gyrgan ~
During one of your kid's days home from school, Gemma and Gavin decided to watch a movie in the living room. Since you were out with your friends that day in particular, Gyrgan was in charge of keeping an eye on all three of your kids. Adu needed his father's help with a school science project, so Gyrgan was busy helping him; he would check on Gavin and Gemma in a few moments. As Gavin and Gemma were in the living room, they were having a hard time deciding on which movie to watch. There were so many choices; Gavin wanted to watch a movie with animals in it and Gemma wanted to watch a movie with princesses in it.
"Let's watch Finding Nemo." Gavin said as he held up the dvd care of his chosen movie.
"No, I want to watch Aladdin." Gemma responded, holding up the dvd case of the movie she wanted to watch.
"Aladdin is dumb." Gavin commented as he scrunched his face up a little as though he was disgusted.
"No it isn't! Finding Nemo is stupid!" Gemma argued, sticking her tongue out at her younger brother.
"You're just saying that because there aren't any princesses in it!" Gavin responded while raising his voice, becoming frustrated because his older sister was frustrating to deal with.
And so the arguing went on, both Gavin and Gemma insulting each other's taste in movies. Meanwhile, Gyrgan decided to check on his and your younger children to see how they were doing. He thought that they would happily be watching a movie together; he was not expecting to walk in on a heated argument that included throwing insults at each other. Gemma and Gavin were so busy yelling at each other that they didn't notice their father standing in the doorway.
"Enough you two! What would your mother say if she heard what you two were yelling at each other?" Gyrgan spoke loudly as he walked over to where Gemma and Gavin were sitting, kneeling down next to them.
"Papa, Gemma's being mean to me!" Gavin complained as he pointed at his sister, accusing her of being mean to him.
"Dad, Gavin says that princess movies are stupid and a waste of time!" Gemma told her father while looking up at him.
"You two need to learn how to compromise, otherwise I'm going to pick a movie for you both to watch. If you both keep arguing, you're both grounded for three days." Gyrgan told Gemma and Gavin in a firm tone, a serious expression on his face.
Both Gemma and Gavin sighed in defeat, neither of them wanting to be grounded for three days. It took a few moments, but Gyrgan helped his two younger children to come to an agreement of what movie to watch, one that they both would like; The Princess and the Frog. Gavin and Gemma thanked their father and hugged him before they went to go sit on the large couch. Gyrgan made some popcorn and put it in two separate bowls so that they could have a snack. After making sure that they weren't going to start fighting again, he went back to helping Adu with his science project.

~ Trigel ~
While Taj was drawing a picture in the playroom, he smiled as he used the new crayons. You and Trigel were helping Astrid with her homework in the living room, Harlow was in the living room too and Veldar was somewhere in the palace. Taj was happily drawing a family portrait; he couldn't wait to show you and Trigel the picture. Since it was almost dinner time, Veldar decided to go get his younger brother. Taj was completely unaware that he wasn't alone until he heard his older brother's voice.
"What are you doing, Taj?" Veldar queried with curiosity when Taj didn't seem to hear his footsteps.
"I'm coloring a picture of our family, see?" Taj asked his older brother while proudly showing off his creation; he wasn't a very good artist, but it didn't matter to him since he was having fun drawing it.
"That picture looks stupid." Veldar scoffed when he looked at the picture, rolling his eyes when he saw how unrealistic it looked.
"It's not stupid!" Taj yelled in anger, putting his picture down and sticking his tongue out at his older brother.
"Yes it is!" Veldar argued, walking over to his younger brother and hitting him; it wasn't a hard hit, but it hurt a little.
When Veldar hit Taj, Taj yelled loudly and stood up, hitting his older brother. Since it was dinner time, you decided to go get your two boys. Trigel, Astrid and Harlow were patiently waiting in the dining room. You were concerned when you heard yelling coming from inside the playroom. To your horror, Veldar and Taj were hitting each other.
"Veldar! Taj! Stop hitting each other right now!" You commanded angrily as you stormed into the playroom.
As soon as they heard your voice, Taj and Veldar stopped hitting each other. Veldar stepped away from Taj, who started crying as he ran over to where you were standing and hugged you. Veldar felt a little guilty for hitting his younger brother; he knew that he was going to be in trouble.
"Now, I want you both to tell me exactly why you were hitting each other. No excuses!" You ordered firmly, crossing your arms over your chest.
"I was coloring a picture of our family when Veldar came in and called it stupid." Taj told you as he stopped crying.
"Taj hit me when I called his picture stupid, so I hit him back." Veldar explained, huffing in frustration.
"Veldar, it's not nice to call other people's artwork stupid, even if you don't like it. And it's not nice to hit each other. Veldar, Taj, I want you to apologize to each other right now." You told your boys in a firm tone, looking down at them.
"I'm sorry for hitting you, Veldar." Taj huffed, apologizing to his older brother for being the first to hit.
"I'm sorry for calling your picture stupid and hitting you back." Veldar mumbled his apology, looking at his younger brother.
You sighed before telling Veldar and Taj that they wouldn't be having any dessert after dinner for the next two nights. Veldar and Taj nodded their heads, both of them knowing that they deserved their punishment. After a moment, you led your two boys out of the playroom and to the dining room where your wife and two daughters were waiting. When Trigel asked you what took you so long, you told her how you found your two sons hitting each other. Trigel was just as disappointed in Taj and Veldar as you were; she agreed that not allowing them to have dessert for the next two nights was a fair punishment. Veldar and Taj felt guilty for their earlier actions, but they learned a valuable lesson from it.
