Friday
Dedicated to asmolpidgeon for reasons and shoot
Katie grinned. It was Friday, her first Friday at camp in years. Her first Friday away from camp hit her hard, harder than she thought it would have. But now she was back, and she could spend time with her friends before saving the universe.
"Tonight's game will be Paladins vs. Campers." Chiron stated, reading from a paper that without a doubt had teams on them. "However, since there are only five paladins, and hundreds of campers, some campers will join the paladins. On Team Voltron is the Hades cabin, the Hephaestus cabin, the Aphrodite cabin, the Poseidon cabin and the Athena cabin." Katie watched as Percy discreetly slipped Chiron a few drachmas.
"Everyone else is on Team Half-Blood." Chiron finished.
Across the dining pavilion, Hunk smiled. Katie saw the yellow and black paladins share a glance. She turned to Mateo.
"Looks like you're on my team." She teased, sticking out her tongue. "If you weren't, I would totally be allowed to kick your ass."
"No mierda." Mateo mumbled, staring at Katie's improved musculature. She was still small, but strong. Stronger than she had been when she helped defeat Kronos and Gaea. No doubt she would be able to take down Haggar.
"Hey, stop cursing in Spanish or I'll have to start calling you Lance."
THIS TIME SKIP IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY ROLO'S WATER BED EMPORIUM
Lance smiled as he got a glitter pellet ready. He may not like the very romance-focused ways of his half uncles/aunts, but he loved the weapons.
Soon, it was time to go to the forest. Lance had donned his paladin armor, which would distinguish him from the rest as a leader of Team Voltron, but he left his bayard and grabbed instead a bag full of blue glitter pellets and a celestial bronze sword.
He met with the other paladins at the edge of the creek, where Percy was stationed for some odd reason. When he asked why the legendary demigod was stuck as a guard, Katie only giggled.
"No reason." She snorted.
"Team meeting." Shiro announced. "I don't know much about the battle plans of these guys, that's for Katie to talk about. But Hunk and Lance are on flag duty. You go in there guns blazing - not literally, I'm assuming you have swords instead - and get their flag. Hunk, you need to cover Lance, because you can't get hit. You're mortal so their swords won't even touch you."
"Good plan." Hunk said.
"Keith, you're with Shiro. Guard the creek at all costs. Percy can tell you to go anywhere else if he wants, he's in charge of the border station for reasons that will be explained soon." Katie instructed.
"And where are you going, Peanut face?" Percy asked.
"To get Annabeth to make you shut the hell up, Seaweed brain." Katie grinned. "No, I'm going to climb a fucking tree, like always. Lance, did Piper get you any green glitter pellets?"
"Yeah," Lance said, handing her a sack full of glitter pellets in Katie's color. "I hope everything goes well... In the tree."
"Not the tree. I'm going to hop around once I get high enough. Nobody will be able to tell where I am, just like old times."
"Alright, we'll get up there, the conch will blow any second!" Percy urged. Seconds later, the conch sounded around the forest. Battle cries could be heard from both sides of the creek.
Katie scrambled up the tree with such speed and agility that one might think she had become a cat, or perhaps a squirrel. She watched from above as Lance and Hunk ran into enemy territory. Shiro and Keith activated their shields and pulled out swords. Keith smiled, as this was the weapon he knew. An Ares camper ran towards the creek with a crackling spear.
"Sorry, Prissy." She grinned. "But this may go better than last time, for us at least."
"Shame, we've been on teams together since then." Percy raised a wall of water, pushing Clarisse back with a fist made out of the water. The son of Poseidon high fived a naiad.
Before Clarisse could get up, she was covered in green glitter.
"Where is she?!" Clarisse laughed.
"I thought you'd be mad after that." Percy admitted, putting the creek down. Katie smiled and hopped away, towards where Hunk and Lance went. She hit everyone on the red team that she saw, incapacitating them with green glitter. Soon people remembered her antics and started shooting arrows at the treetops, but nobody hit her. Hell, nobody could see her.
"Lance, I got it!" Hunk yelled excitedly from somewhere. Katie watched as the yellow and blue paladins ran with the flag. Katie shot down every enemy camper on their tails, leaving a trail of annoyed groans, curse words, and green glitter towards the creek.
This chapter will be written multiple times, from Hunk or Lance's perspective, Percy's perspective, Kieth or Shiro's perspective, and then one person's perspective that you guys choose!!
