Chapter 3 - Leo Doesn't Destroy Anything

°•° Annabeth's POV °•°

"You know what I have to do. The prophecy says we'll come back." I heard Percy's final words to me echo in my head for the thousandth time.

Through space and time
Water and fire will battle the child of Hecate
Their monstrous rule will come to end,
But uncertain is their fate.
Fire shall burn, and heroes return
Before it is too late.

I ran through the prophecy again and again. Neither Leo nor Percy had returned, and the so-called son of Hecate was still undetermined. All Chiron knew was that he wasn't a human and god hybrid. He was either monster... Or alien.

I shook my head again, pushing the thought from my mind. Although we knew aliens existed, the likelihood that an alien was the thing with that big flying ship was, actually, very likely. But it meant that Percy might never return. If he was abducted by aliens, he could be anywhere.

He could already be dead.

°•° MEANWHILE... 3rd Person °•°

"What do you mean by that? Kaltenecker is a cow." Lance asked.

"Yeah. Hera is a goddess, the queen goddess. But she's also an asshole. She kind of hates Percy, and then, me. I hate her back. Like, come on! We saved Olympus twice, and she has the audacity to leave cow shit at Annabeth's house." Pidge shook her head. "Well, I have to go talk to the princess."

"Wait!!!" Percy rushed into the hangar, breathing heavily but not sweating.

"What?"

"We have to go back to Earth." Percy said quickly.

"Why?"

"Annabeth. She probably thinks I'm dead. And there's a prophecy. I'm not out here just for fun. Leo and I came out here to stop Zarkon. He's the son of Hecate."

"Are you sure?" Pidge asked.

"Well, no. But the child of Hecate is to attack Earth, I think. Listen." Percy took a deep breath.

"Through space and time
Water and fire will battle the child of Hecate
Their monstrous rule will come to end,
But uncertain is their fate.
Fire shall burn, and heroes return
Before it is too late."

"So, the galra empire is going to fall?" Pidge interpreted.

"It sounds like the heroes have to go to Earth before it's too late." Lance pointed out.

"We need to get there now. I need to get back to camp." Percy's eyes were wide with sorrow, but also excitement. He was going home.

"What about Leo?" Lance asked. "Didn't you say that you came with a guy called Leo?"

"I IM'd him. I gave his coordinates to Allura. He may already be on the ship." Percy smiled. It had been a year and a half since he'd seen Leo. And a year and a half since he'd seen his mom and Paul and Annabeth... Maybe they'd already burned his shroud. That would be... Well, not the first time.

"What does IM mean?" Lance asked. Percy shook his head.

"I'll tell you later."

°•° Four Hours Later - Keith's POV °•°

After we picked up some kid called Leo, Allura called everyone to the control room. I was surprised to see Percy and Leo with armor. Not paladin armor, but armor. Like, ancient Roman battle armor. It looked odd next to Pidge, who stood in-between them and wore her green armor.

"I have an interesting development." Allura said as Coran assured we were all there.

"What's that?" Shiro asked, ignoring the two boys in battle armor.

"Well, it appears that Zarkon is heading towards your home planet. I decided that, in the interest of preserving your race, we take the fight to Zarkon before he makes it there." Percy, Leo and Pidge shared a glance.

"Okay, can someone explain the Roman armor thing?" I asked after a moment of silence. Lance shot me a nervous glance. That was new.

"It's Greek, actually." Percy corrected me.

"Where did it come from?" I asked.

"Where did what come from?" Percy asked innocently, dragging three fingers across his chest. Suddenly, the armor disappeared.

"What the fu-" Shiro shot me a glance.

"That interesting technology, how does it work?" Hunk asked.

"It's not..." Pidge trailed off as Percy gave her a concerned look.

Something was definitely up.

°•° One Week Later - Clarisse's POV °•°

"I'm going to kill Prissy if he's dead." I assured a crying Annabeth. As much as I claimed to hate the son of Poseidon, he wasn't a bad guy. He deserved Annabeth. Annabeth was strong, but without him, she had no shelter from the panic attacks caused by their trip to Tartarus.

"Get in line." Annabeth said after wiping some tears from her face.

"He isn't dead. I'd know." Nico assured us again. Thalia sighed.

"Well, he sure as Hades isn't on Earth. Either he's in Tartarus again, or he decided to become an astronaut. I watched Annabeth take a deep breath.

"Well, I've been thinking..." Thalia and I exchanged a glance.

"When do you not?" I said, shaking my head. She was a daughter of Athena, after all.

"Aliens are real, right? What if the child of Hecate..."

"Is alien?" Nico finished. "It's possible. We could ask Hecate."

"She's denied everyone any information on the child in question." Chiron reminded us.

"So we'll have to wait until they come back." Annabeth said shakily.

Thalia sighed and looked up. There were no campers out this time of night, so it was not wonder nobody noticed or pointed out the giant white space ship falling to the ground. "Um, I don't think we'll have to wait long..."
