Ch. 5: Pop!
"Aaaand?"
"Nothing."
"Nothing?"
"Nothing changed."
May blinked. She sipped her tea and asked Misty again, "He just came back, told you to let him write one more book and then...?"
"He said he'll change."
"But so far nothing changed."
Misty shrugged. "When I left for work this morning, he was eating the chocolate cake I made and typing quickly on his laptop."
May sighed. "When is this guy going to learn..."
"I really don't want to start fighting again." Misty took a sip of her tea. "If he doesn't believe we can get married in the future, I can't stay together with him and I won't."
"No changes? Really? Nothing? Nada?"
"Well, he barely slept last night. He asked me to make coffee before I sleep." Misty nodded slowly to herself.
"You need a boyfriend." May pulled a serious look. "A real one."
Misty smiled. "Like yours?"
"Look at how beautiful this thing is!" May spread her fingers on the table, showing off her engagement ring. "It's worth everything."
"Drew is lucky to have you."
"Well, Ash is overly lucky to have you. He doesn't even deserve you."
Misty said nothing.
"It's a vicious circle, Misty." May shook her head. "Just dump him."
"Which is totally out of question for me. I was miserable when he wasn't with me. I can't live without Ash, May. He's a part of me."
"He's screwed, selfish, irresponsible-"
"I know..." Misty sighed. "But still a part of me."
"To say that this is the result of Mrs. Hiddelton pairing you up together..."
Misty let a giggle. "It's so weird and funny."
"I'm here!" Dawn came rushing to their table right after she entered the coffee shop. "Sorry for being late!"
"Hi Dawn."
"Oh, Misty!" Dawn hugged her friend quickly. She took a seat. "Ash is back! Did he at least slim down during this whole year he was away? You know, since he says YOU make him fat."
May nodded to herself. "That's a good question."
Misty rolled her eyes. "Are you kidding me? Of course the total opposite happened."
"So predictable."
"It's not that bad, though."
"Don't make him all bloated. Drew needs his Best Man looking good for the wedding."
"I'm not making anyone bloated!" Misty retorted.
"Fine, we believe you." Dawn pulled close to the redhead. "Tell me, what was the first thing you two did together after being reunited?"
"Did together? We cleaned the apartment."
"I'm not talking about that kind of 'did together'!" Dawn huffed.
May nodded.
"Oh."
"You know... anything... sexy?"
Misty glared. "I told you I'm staying virgin until I feel it's the right moment and Ash understand that."
"Are you serious?"
"And do you think Ash is really waiting for you? My a**"
"Chances are really high he's slept with other women while he was away, Misty."
Misty's face paled. She said, "Can we change the subject? Can we? Can we?" and sipped her tea.
Dawn and May looked at each other and shrugged.

Misty was sitting on her bed wearing a robe and rubbing the oil on her freshly waxed legs. With a pale sensitive skin like hers, the only way to survive the waxing trauma was to rub oil onto her skin.
Ash was sitting on a single sofa seat on the other side of the room, his laptop on his lap, typing quickly like always.
"Ash."
"Hum?"
"What's on your mind?"
"Hum?"
He isn't listening... Misty closed her eyes for a moment. She rubbed her hands with what's left of the oil and walked over to Ash.
"Ash."
"Hum." Ash didn't take his eyes off of the screen. He only looked up when Misty pulled away the laptop and put it on the nightstand.
"I'm writing, Mist." He said as if he was reminding her.
"But there are things that come before your book, no?"
Ash blinked as Misty sat on his lap. "Uh, yeah, I guess."
"Tell me." Misty put her hands on Ash's cheeks. "What am I to you?"
"I-I didn't save the file..." Ash pointed to his laptop. "Can I?"
Misty would never know how to really describe what she felt at the moment.
"Can I?"
"I'll save it."
"No! Don't touch it!"
Misty got off when she felt Ash trying to get up. He rushed toward his laptop, did what seemed like saving his file and switching off his laptop, and quickly went back to his spot on the sofa.
"Now it's okay."
Misty didn't sit on his lap this time. "You don't want me to see what you're writing. Is that so?"
"Nooo, that's not it." Ash shook his head.
"I feel offended."
"Don't feel offended." Ash sounded as if not feeling offended was the easiest thing to do for Misty. "It's just not perfect yet. I'll show you once it's perfect."
Misty raised an eyebrow. "Are you writing erotica?"
"No!" Ash let a chuckle.
"Just making sure..."
"I'm not saying erotica is not art, but-"
"Ash, don't write erotica."
"Okay."
Misty pulled close. She sat on Ash's lap. "Erotica should be lived and felt."
"Misty, what are you exactly doing?" he felt her hands get close to the waistband of his pants.
"I don't know."
"Are you trying to take off my pajama pants?"
"I think so."
Ash was losing his mind slowly. "I can take them off for you."
"That's not how they do it, Ash."
"Misty, I know you don't want to do this and you really don't-"
"Keep, quiet." Misty whispered in Ash's ear in a way that made his whole body shiver.
"Can we at least move to the bed?" Ash pointed hesitantly to the bed. He was freaking out in the inside because he could barely recognize this Misty. What happened while he was gone?
"Are you going to make me?" Misty gave him a look he didn't recognize either. She even bit her lip.
"..."
"Are you scared?"
"Misty, please! What makes you want to have sex now? You were putting oil on your skin and now what?"
Misty gave a teasing look. "You're scared you're not good enough for me."
Ash didn't even know how he managed to shove Misty by the arm, throw her roughly to the bed and get on the top of her. "Aah! That hurt!"
Her breath was heavy and her chest went up and down roughly. "That... hurt."
"It's your loss, Misty Williams." Ash pulled the collars of her robe down. "You're the one who's going to get your cherry popped, not me."
"It was going to happen, sooner or later." Misty giggled to herself as she undid the knot of her robe.
"You don't want this."
"Yes, I do."
"I said you don't."
"I do."
"Don't cry." Ash was starting to get excited. Misty could see it.
"I won't."
"If you cry I will feel guilty."
Misty giggled loudly. "How old are you? Sixteen?"
Ash closed his eyes, suddenly feeling hot and his manhood reacting.
"Unfortunately for you, no."
