Chapter Twenty Six
Opening my eyes, I was in a dark, blank void.
I looked around, then noticed someone sitting at my feet. It was a girl with brown coloured hair and different coloured eyes. One was gold, the other blue. Her hair was shoulder length.
"Glad you're awake,"
"Where am I?" I asked.
"How about I introduce myself first? I'm Natasha. This is Liam," I suddenly noticed another person, a boy, quietly sitting next to me.
"Hi there," He spoke nervously.
He had short brown hair, a little lighter than Natasha, and piercing blue eyes. Both of their complexions were pale.
"He's a little shy," Natasha explained.
"Okay...? I'm (y/n). Can you tell me why I'm here?" I requested.
The two looked at each other, their smiles disappearing.
"Alright, but first, you have to promise not to freak out," Liam said quietly.
"I don't like where this is going,"
"You need to promise us, (y/n)," Natasha begged desperately. "We don't have much time!"
"Alright. I promise,"
"Good. Now, follow me,"
Liam helped me stand up and leads me to where Natasha is waiting.
"Listen, you're here becausebi needed to speak with you,"
"About what?"
"About the pains you're getting. It's because your soul is slowly fading into a mindscape area. And, since part of it's being transported somewhere else, it's causing the pain because it's kinda splitting," Natasha explained, makjngbme look down in horror, a shadow covering my eyes.
"What...? I knew it was going somewhere else, and that it'd hurt, but not that it was splitting and going into a mindscape- hold on! If it's going into a mindscape, then wouldn't that mean that, once my entire soul is there, so will I?" I asked. Natasha nodded.
"The transportation for your body will hurt, but not as much as your soul since it's already there and your body just needs to.. 'Meet up' with it, per se,"
"A-Alright.." I breathed.
"You okay?" Liam asked quietly, crouching down next to my sitting body and stroking my back, trying ti calm me down.
"I'm fine. This is just a lot of information to take in. Natasha?" She hummed, signalling that I have her attention. "Cab you tell me anything about this mindscape?"
"Yes, but only the gist. Anyway, Liam and I will be there to help you. From what I've gathered in the archive, it's a place full of demons, vampires and other things that want to kill you. If you die in that world, you die in real life because a very large portion of your soul is there,"
"Wait, so my entire soul isn't gonna be there? You said that once my entire souls is there, though,"
"I did, but that's pretty much what it is. The only part staying behind is the part that gives you a corporeal body,"
"What do you mean by that?"
Natasha sighed.
"This might take longer than expected... A soul has different segments. One segment is for magic, a few for emotions, such as happiness, sadness, anger and the other emotions. Another segment is for the part that thinks, another for your senses, another for your ability to move, one for consciousness and, lastly, the one for a corporeal body. Depending on how your body looks, that segment will be different. For example, if it's a monster soul, the shape would be an upside down heart, if human, a normal one, your height and other features of your appearance would determine the size of it. All those segments, they make up one workjng physical form. Anyway, when you're going to be in that mindscape world, your corporeal segment will be left behind in the real world and the others will go with you to the mindscape world. When all of them are gathered there, the only thing left to do is to bring your body. (Just a quick note, idk if the segment thing is real or not. I just wanted to add this in) So, you're corporeal body will be left behind and your consciousness segment will be one of the segments that will go to the mindscape. That's what's going to give you your look and shape,"
"Wow. Souls are a lot more complicated than I initially thought... You said you'd give me information about the mindscape?"
"Right. Anyway, since your corporeal segment won't be there, your magic segment will create an outfit that it will think is appropriate for the mindscape, a weapon too. It'll do the same to Liam and I. Let's see... Is there anything else you should know? Oh! You'll also have to be VERY sneaky. All of those sickos in that world have very sensitive hearing, so they'll hear anything, footsteps, breathing and any movement,"
"Lovely(!)," I exclaimed sarcastically. "Any way for them not to hear us?"
"There is, actually. When you see a demon, vampire or anything else that isn't human, stand still and don't move at all. Cover your mouth and nose. They can only hear through one layer,"
"That's good to know, also-" I was cut off by a sharp pain in my chest. I criednamd held it tightly.
"(Y/n)!" Liam and Natasha yelled simultaneously.
I tried to speak, but only achieved coughing blood.
"You're going into the mindscape! Will you be fine if I transport you back into the real world, otherwise, the pain will be greater!" Natasha asked worriedly.
* * * * *
I opened my eyes quickly, a scream emitting from my throat. 'Not as painful my ass!' I shouted in my head.
My scream woke the group up and they saw me clinching my chest, tears cascading down my face.
"(Y/n)?! What's happening?!" PJ shouted worriedly, taking me in a tight hold
"U-Under....tale..." I croaked out, barely above a whisper, as I felt more pain wash over me.
It all suddenly stopped and all I saw was different coloured all slowly speeding up and taking me somewhere.
~PJ's Pov~
She suddenly stopped writhing and her clutch on her chest stopped, her hand dropping to the floor.
Her eyes became half-lidded and they seemed to darken and the colour faded.
I put my head on her chest to see if she still had a heartbeat. She did, I heard it (Please don't ask how. I don't even know how).
"We need to get her to a hospital now!" Undyne shouted, getting her phone out.
I suddenly felt a wave of magic surround her, it was faint, but there. "Wait! They won't be able to do anything!" I exclaimed quickly.
"What do you mean?" Papyrus asked, everyone now looking at me.
"This isn't a heart attack, or anything medical. It's a magic problem,"
"Then what do you suggest we do?!" Undyne shouted, angry tears falling down her face.
Tears ran down my own face quickly as I looked at Fresh.
"Hold her for a second," He took (Y/n) in his arms and they all watched me walk over to her bag.

Since next chapter is going to be the last for this book, there'll be a sequel tho, I'm going to be giving out some shoutouts. :)
