Lonesome
The loneliness has crept in again,
Like waves smashing against the cliff face.
The water droplets erode my skin,
And leave tiny scratches to trace,
As I fight off the bitter cold solitary.
Echoing winds in my ears echo voices misplaced,
When did I last see a friendly face?
My heart is eroding in the storm,
And all I can do is wait for it to pass.
