Chapter 10

Luisa (2p Lucia) - Vatican City
Serafino (2p Sebastian) - Seborga

The picture is drawn by me. Sorry for my terrible art skills ^-^ It's Vatican City, or Lucia

Ten minutes before Feliciano meets Luciano

Lucia stood up slowly and bowed as she left the room. It wasn't often she got called to a meeting with her boss, he was usually busy, but when they did, they always seemed to run on forever. By the end, she always felt a little lost and tired. As she closed the door, she sighed, adjusting her robes. Today felt longer than usual.

"Hey sorella."

She looked up in time to be engulfed by Sebastian as he hugged her. It took a second to register before she patted him and carefully ducked away.

"Buongiorno fratello" she said. "How've you been?"

"Bene" Sebastian grinned. "And you? I swear he's got you doing more now than normal."

Lucia managed a smile as they started walking towards the exit. "No more, no less. How're Lovino and Feliciano."

"They're... good... I mean, they're not taking it very well at all but..." he stopped and glanced at the confused expression on her face. "What?"

"They're no taking what very well?"

"Do you not know" Sebastian stared, the grin vanishing for a moment. "The counterparts have returned. Various nations are already dead and people have been saying there's going to be more now than before."

"How many more?" Lucia stared at the floor. She remembered last time. She hadn't been involved at all really, apart from blacking out and waking up around a year later in a hospital. But of course, that was irrelevant.

"Who can tell?" Sebastian shrugged. "We don't know. We've not seen all of them, but Lovino says there's a high chance of everyone having a counterpart this time, that maybe not all of them rose last time, that maybe it was a simple tester of us. But, why would we have counterparts? We're only micronations."

"Micronations or not, we're all of the same sort and that's what matters" Lucia said. "If everyone has a counterpart this time, that means there'll be a lot of people we need to kill. Can we even be certain of it though? There's a high possibility it's only a few other nations I mean... who was it this time?"

"Lukas and Emil" Sebastian stuffed his hands in his pockets as they got outside. "So we're assuming that means the rest of the Nordics, but it could be anyone really. There are so many other nations."

"I'd assume though that the fact that there is already a singular representative for countries means there has to be a counterpart no matter how small or large that country is. It wouldn't really make sense otherwise" Lucia gently closed the main door to the building behind her.

As they were walking away, Sebastian yelped and lifted one foot off the floor.

"What's wrong?" Lucia stared at him.

"I don't know" Sebastian shook his leg a little. "It's... it's not me I know that, so I can only assume it's someone else."

"Feliciano maybe?" Lucia suggested. "He's closer to you than to me so it'd make sense for you to get it first whatever he did." She bit her lip as the same pain washed over her ankle. "What's the idiota done now?"

Sebastian got out the key to his car, fumbled around with it for a second, and then collapsed. Lucia stared for a second before taking a step forwards. The step turned into a fall and her head slammed into the concrete of the carpark.

From across the way, the doors to another car opened and a man and a woman got out. Both had noticeable curls, the guy's in almost a square shape and the girl's a lot like Feliciano's, but with a cross at the end.

"What the fuck did Luci do?" the man said, stopping to kick Sebastian roughly.

"What the fuck are you doing?" the woman said. "I don't care what Luciano did, you could wake him Serafino."

Serafino shrugged. "Whatever. How fast would you say you can drive Luisa? Flavio'll kill us if we're late probably."

"Fast enough" Luisa muttered. "So let's get going."

*

Antonio slapped a bag of frozen peas on a surface in the kitchen and closed the freezer. He wasn't sure if Lovino had been acting up when he'd suddenly stated his foot hurt, but either way, Antonio knew he couldn't stand cold of any kind so if he was this would be funny.

"Hey Lovi, your foot feeling any better?" he pursed his lips and wandered out of the kitchen, frowning when there was no reply. "Lovi?"

He reached the living room and to begin with, gave an exasperated sigh, rolling his eyes. Where Lovino had been on the couch was now a lump under a blanket with a piece of paper.

"You can't just hide you know?" Antonio chucked the bag of peas at him, frowning again when there was still silence. "Are you dead or something?" He drew back the blanket. Underneath was a pile of cushions.

Antonio sighed, then caught sight of the note. He wasn't really interested, but picked it up anyway, then almost immediately dropped it. He was half way back to the door when the vase he usually kept in the corner was smashed open over his head. A blonde person walked past him, opening up a flip phone and talking in rapid Italian to someone else. Black spots clouded Antonio's vision and as he blacked out, the words from the note resurface:

We're borrowing your Italian. I would say we'll return him in one piece, but we probably won't do

Sorry this chapter was pretty bad. It was kind of done in a rush and is more a filler chapter than anything else, which as it turns out, I can't do at all T-T Half way through my exams now. Next week is the last five exams (including a six hour art mock) and then... I'm done!!! Until January T-T. I'm at Manchester Doki Doki on Saturday, so if there's anyone who reads this who is going, please say so and we can say hi on the day ^-^
